[1]Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the keeper watcheth in vain.
[2]It is vainH7723 for you to rise upH6965[H8800] earlyH7925[H8688], to sit upH3427[H8800] lateH309[H8764], to eatH398[H8802] the breadH3899 of sorrowsH6089: for so he givethH5414[H8799] his belovedH3039 sleepH8142. [2]It is in vain for you to rise early , and to lie down late, and eat the bread of sorrow: but he will surely give rest to his beloved.
[3]Lo, childrenH1121 are an heritageH5159 of the LORDH3068: and the fruitH6529 of the wombH990 is his rewardH7939. [3]Behold, children are the inheritance of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb his reward.

[5]Blessed is the man, that hath his quiver full of them: for they shall not be ashamed, when they speak with their enemies in the gate.
