King James Version
KJV
[1] Israel may now say: they haue troubled me often from my youth vp [1]Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:
[2]They haue troubled me often from my youth vp: but they haue not preuayled against me [2]Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.
[3]The plowemen plowed vpon my backe: they made long forrowes [3]The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.
[4]But God who is iust: hath cut a peeces the snares of the vngodly [4]The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.
[5]All they that beare an euyll wyll to Sion: shalbe confounded, and be made to turne backe from it [5]Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
[6]They shall be as the grasse growing vpon the house toppes: whiche withereth afore that it be shot foorth [to his growth. [6]Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:
[7]Whereof the mower fylleth not his hande: neither he that byndeth vp the sheaues his armes full [7]Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.
[8]And they which go by, say not so much as the blessing of God be vpon you: we blesse you in the name of God [8]Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
