[[A prayer of David.]]
[1]A PrayerH8605 of DavidH1732. Bow downH5186[H8685] thine earH241, O LORDH3068, hearH6030[H8798] me: for I am poorH6041 and needyH34. [1]Incline thine ear, O Lord , and hear me: for I am poor and needy.
[2]PreserveH8104[H8798] my soulH5315; for I am holyH2623: O thou my GodH430, saveH3467[H8685] thy servantH5650 that trustethH982 in theeH8802. [2]Preserve thou my soul, for I am merciful: my God, save thou thy servant, that trusteth in thee.
[3]Be mercifulH2603[H8798] unto me, O LordH136: for I cryH7121[H8799] unto thee dailyH3117. [3]Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry upon thee continually.
[4]RejoiceH8055[H8761] the soulH5315 of thy servantH5650: for unto thee, O LordH136, do I lift upH5375[H8799] my soulH5315. [4]Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
[5]For thou, LordH136, art goodH2896, and ready to forgiveH5546; and plenteousH7227 in mercyH2617 unto all them that callH7121 upon theeH8802. [5]For thou, Lord, art good and merciful, and of great kindness unto all them, that call upon thee.
[6]Give earH238[H8685], O LORDH3068, unto my prayerH8605; and attendH7181[H8685] to the voiceH6963 of my supplicationsH8469. [6]Give ear, Lord, unto my prayer, and hearken to the voice of my supplication.
[7]In the dayH3117 of my troubleH6869 I will callH7121[H8799] upon thee: for thou wilt answerH6030 meH8799. [7]In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou hearest me.
[8]Among the godsH430 there is none like unto thee, O LordH136; neither are there any works like unto thy worksH4639. [8]Among the gods there is none like thee, O Lord, and there is none that can do like thy works.
[9]All nationsH1471 whom thou hast madeH6213[H8804] shall comeH935[H8799] and worshipH7812[H8691] beforeH6440 thee, O LordH136; and shall glorifyH3513[H8762] thy nameH8034. [9]All nations, whom thou hast made, shall come and worship before thee, O Lord, and shall glorify thy name.
[10]For thou art greatH1419, and doestH6213[H8802] wondrous thingsH6381[H8737]: thou art God aloneH430. [10]For thou art great and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.
[11]TeachH3384[H8685] me thy wayH1870, O LORDH3068; I will walkH1980[H8762] in thy truthH571: uniteH3161[H8761] my heartH3824 to fearH3372[H8800] thy nameH8034. [11]Teach me thy way, O Lord , and I will walk in thy truth: knit mine heart unto thee, that I may fear thy name.
[12]I will praiseH3034[H8686] thee, O LordH136 my GodH430, with all my heartH3824: and I will glorifyH3513[H8762] thy nameH8034 for evermoreH5769. [12]I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all mine heart: yea, I will glorify thy name forever.
[13]For greatH1419 is thy mercyH2617 toward me: and thou hast deliveredH5337[H8689] my soulH5315 from the lowestH8482 hellH7585. [13]For great is thy mercy toward me, and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest grave.
[14]O GodH430, the proudH2086 are risenH6965[H8804] against me, and the assembliesH5712 of violentH6184 men have soughtH1245[H8765] after my soulH5315; and have not setH7760 thee before themH8804. [14]O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought my soul, and have not set thee before them.
[15]But thou, O LordH136, art a GodH410 full of compassionH7349, and graciousH2587, longsufferingH750[H639], and plenteousH7227 in mercyH2617 and truthH571. [15]But thou, O Lord, art a pitiful God and merciful, slow to anger and great in kindness and truth.
[16]O turnH6437[H8798] unto me, and have mercyH2603[H8798] upon me; giveH5414[H8798] thy strengthH5797 unto thy servantH5650, and saveH3467[H8685] the sonH1121 of thine handmaidH519. [16]Turn unto me, and have mercy upon me: give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.
[17]ShewH6213[H8798] me a tokenH226 for goodH2896; that they which hateH8130[H8802] me may seeH7200[H8799] it, and be ashamedH954[H8799]: because thou, LORDH3068, hast holpenH5826[H8804] me, and comfortedH5162 meH8765. [17]Show a token of thy goodness toward me, that they which hate me, may see it, and be ashamed, because thou, O Lord, hast holpen me and comforted me.
