[1]Then he gave me a reed, like a rod, and he said, "Get up to measure the holy place of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 and His altar, for here are intercessors in it." [2]Rather measureⓘ the inner holy place, but do not includeⓘ the outer court: for it is given to the nations to walk the holy city for forty-two months." [3]"For I give to my two witnesses to prophesy one thousand two hundred sixty days, dressed in sackcloth." [4]For these are the two olive trees and the two torches standing before Eloah of the earth.ⓘ [5]If anyone wants to harm these, then fire will comeⓘ and consume them. [6]During the time they are prophets, they have the authority to shut the heavens so that no rain comes on the earth, and over the waters to turn them into blood,ⓘ and to strike the earth with plagues, whenever they please. [7]After their testimony was finished, Heⓘ brought forth the beast from the deep. The beast battled,ⓘ prevailed and killed them. [8]Then their corpses were thrownⓘ into the streets of the Holy City, called Sodom and Egypt, and is also the exact placeⓘ where our Master was crucified. [9]And they of the nations and tribes will see their corpses for three and one-half days, and they will not be buried.ⓘ [10]Those dwelling upon the earth rejoiced over them and sent gifts to one another since the prophets brought a lot of grief to the inhabitants of the earth. [11]And after three and a half days, they rose and stomped to their feet, and great fear and terror fell upon those seeing them. [12]And they heard a voice saying, "Rise up!" Then they ascended to the heavens in a cloud, and they saw their enemies.ⓘ [13]At that time, there were tremblings of the earth; a tenth part of the city fell, and seven thousand died among the children of mankind. Others were terrified but we gave praise to Elohey [God] of the heavens. [14]See! The second sorrow has come, and the third sorrow comes! [15][12:1]ⓘ Then the seventh messenger blew and there were many voices in heaven declaring the songs of creation. All things are subject to our Lord Yeshua, and he shall reign forever and ever. [16][12:2] And the twenty-four elders sitting on their thrones before 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 fell upon their faces, praying to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, [17][12:3] saying, "We praise You, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 of Armies—who was, and is, and will be!" [18][12:4] "The time of the nationsⓘ is full. Therefore, the time of Your wrath and judgment of the dead comes: to give recompense to your servants, the holy prophets, and the righteous who revere You—for the small and the great; and to destroy those who corrupted the earth." [19][12:5] In the heavens, 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄's house of prayerⓘ opened and revealed the Ark of the Covenant in His house. Then there are voices and thunders and lightningsⓘ and tremors of the earth and great hail.

[11:2] The Word, תמוד [timod], meaning "measure," is the same spelling used in Ezekiel 45:3 when he was also instructed to measure the holy Temple. The yiqtol as in this case, can be used as an English imperative. [11:2] The word זרוק [zerok], means to throw out—that is, to "not include"; remove something from private to public. [11:4] See also Zechariah 4:11–14 for the prophecy of the two messiahs [anointed ones]. [11:5] The yiqtol can be a simple future tense, the language of the Law, or an iterative action—past (Numbers 11:4–6) or future. See legend and definitions for more details. [11:6] See Exodus 7:20. [11:7] This is not a gender mismatch because this is a continued message from chapter 10. The "He" could be referring to 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 or Yeshua. The context is not clear. [11:7] This word מלחמה [milchama] is a noun but appears to be used as a verb as in Deuteronomy 2:9. [11:8] This could be a tense error or could be a verb form used in a passive narrative voice as described in the note at Revelation 11:7. [11:8] The scribe crossed out כיון and placed a small circle above to indicate a marginal note. The marginal note was included in the translation. [11:9] Literally, "you [plural] do not bury them." It is unclear to whom "you" is referring. [11:12] Or, alternatively, this may be rendered "their enemies saw them." [11:15] The Cochin mss. begins the 12th chapter here.
