[1]וַ֠יִּשְׁלַח [חִירָם כ] (חוּרָ֨ם ק) מֶֽלֶךְ־צֹ֥ר מַלְאָכִים֮ אֶל־דָּוִיד֒ וַעֲצֵ֣י אֲרָזִ֔ים וְחָרָשֵׁ֣י קִ֔יר וְחָרָשֵׁ֖י עֵצִ֑ים לִבְנֹ֥ות לֹ֖ו בָּֽיִת׃ |

[2]וַיֵּ֣דַע דָּוִ֔יד כִּֽי־הֱכִינֹ֧ו יְהוָ֛ה לְמֶ֖לֶךְ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כִּֽי־נִשֵּׂ֤את לְמַ֙עְלָה֙ מַלְכוּתֹ֔ו בַּעֲב֖וּר עַמֹּ֥ו יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ |

[3]וַיִּקַּ֨ח דָּוִ֥יד עֹ֛וד נָשִׁ֖ים בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם וַיֹּ֧ולֶד דָּוִ֛יד עֹ֖וד בָּנִ֥ים וּבָנֹֽות׃ |

[4]וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ שְׁמֹ֣ות הַיְלוּדִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָיוּ־לֹ֖ו בִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑ם שַׁמּ֣וּעַ וְשֹׁובָ֔ב נָתָ֖ן וּשְׁלֹמֹֽה׃ |
| [5]And IbharH2984, and ElishuaH474, and ElpaletH467, |
[5]וְיִבְחָ֥ר וֶאֱלִישׁ֖וּעַ וְאֶלְפָּֽלֶט׃ |
| [6]And NogahH5052, and NephegH5298, and JaphiaH3309, |
[6]וְנֹ֥גַהּ וְנֶ֖פֶג וְיָפִֽיעַ׃ |
| [7]And ElishamaH476, and BeeliadaH1182, and EliphaletH467. |
[7]וֶאֱלִישָׁמָ֥ע וּבְעֶלְיָדָ֖ע וֶאֱלִיפָֽלֶט׃ |
| [8]And when the PhilistinesH6430 heardH8085[H8799] that DavidH1732 was anointedH4886[H8738] kingH4428 over all IsraelH3478, all the PhilistinesH6430 went upH5927[H8799] to seekH1245[H8763] DavidH1732. And DavidH1732 heardH8085[H8799] of it, and went outH3318[H8799] against themH6440. |
[8]וַיִּשְׁמְע֣וּ פְלִשְׁתִּ֗ים כִּי־נִמְשַׁ֨ח דָּוִ֤יד לְמֶ֙לֶךְ֙ עַל־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיַּעֲל֥וּ כָל־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים לְבַקֵּ֣שׁ אֶת־דָּוִ֑יד וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע דָּוִ֔יד וַיֵּצֵ֖א לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃ |
| [9]And the PhilistinesH6430 cameH935[H8804] and spreadH6584[H8799] themselves in the valleyH6010 of RephaimH7497. |
[9]וּפְלִשְׁתִּ֖ים בָּ֑אוּ וַֽיִּפְשְׁט֖וּ בְּעֵ֥מֶק רְפָאִֽים׃ |
| [10]And DavidH1732 enquiredH7592[H8799] of GodH430, sayingH559[H8800], Shall I go upH5927[H8799] against the PhilistinesH6430? and wilt thou deliverH5414[H8804] them into mine handH3027? And the LORDH3068 saidH559[H8799] unto him, Go upH5927[H8798]; for I will deliverH5414[H8804] them into thine handH3027. |
[10]וַיִּשְׁאַ֨ל דָּוִ֤יד בֵּאלֹהִים֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר הַאֶֽעֱלֶה֙ עַל־ [פְּלִשְׁתִּיִּים כ] (פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים ק) וּנְתַתָּ֖ם בְּיָדִ֑י וַיֹּ֨אמֶר לֹ֤ו יְהוָה֙ עֲלֵ֔ה וּנְתַתִּ֖ים בְּיָדֶֽךָ׃ |
| [11]So they came upH5927[H8799] to BaalperazimH1188; and DavidH1732 smoteH5221[H8686] them there. Then DavidH1732 saidH559[H8799], GodH430 hath broken inH6555[H8804] upon mine enemiesH341[H8802] by mine handH3027 like the breaking forthH6556 of watersH4325: therefore they calledH7121[H8804] the nameH8034 of that placeH4725 BaalperazimH1188. |
[11]וַיַּעֲל֥וּ בְּבַֽעַל־פְּרָצִים֮ וַיַּכֵּ֣ם שָׁ֣ם דָּוִיד֒ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִ֔יד פָּרַ֨ץ הָֽאֱלֹהִ֧ים אֶת־אֹויְבַ֛י בְּיָדִ֖י כְּפֶ֣רֶץ מָ֑יִם עַל־כֵּ֗ן קָֽרְא֛וּ שֵֽׁם־הַמָּקֹ֥ום הַה֖וּא בַּ֥עַל פְּרָצִֽים׃ |
| [12]And when they had leftH5800[H8799] their godsH430 there, DavidH1732 gave a commandmentH559[H8799], and they were burnedH8313[H8735] with fireH784. |
[12]וַיַּעַזְבוּ־שָׁ֖ם אֶת־אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ם וַיֹּ֣אמֶר דָּוִ֔יד וַיִּשָּׂרְפ֖וּ בָּאֵֽשׁ׃ |
| [13]And the PhilistinesH6430 yet againH3254[H8686] spread themselves abroadH6584[H8799] in the valleyH6010. |
[13]וַיֹּסִ֤יפוּ עֹוד֙ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים וַֽיִּפְשְׁט֖וּ בָּעֵֽמֶק׃ |
| [14]Therefore DavidH1732 enquiredH7592[H8799] again of GodH430; and GodH430 saidH559[H8799] unto him, Go not upH5927[H8799] afterH310 them; turn awayH5437[H8685] from them, and comeH935[H8804] upon them over againstH4136 the mulberry treesH1057. |
[14]וַיִּשְׁאַ֨ל עֹ֤וד דָּוִיד֙ בֵּֽאלֹהִ֔ים וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לֹו֙ הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים לֹ֥א תַֽעֲלֶ֖ה אַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֑ם הָסֵב֙ מֵֽעֲלֵיהֶ֔ם וּבָ֥אתָ לָהֶ֖ם מִמּ֥וּל הַבְּכָאִֽים׃ |
| [15]And it shall be, when thou shalt hearH8085[H8800] a soundH6963 of goingH6807 in the topsH7218 of the mulberry treesH1057, that then thou shalt go outH3318[H8799] to battleH4421: for GodH430 is gone forthH3318[H8804] beforeH6440 thee to smiteH5221[H8687] the hostH4264 of the PhilistinesH6430. |
[15]וִ֠יהִי כְּֽשָׁמְעֲךָ֞ אֶת־קֹ֤ול הַצְּעָדָה֙ בְּרָאשֵׁ֣י הַבְּכָאִ֔ים אָ֖ז תֵּצֵ֣א בַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה כִּֽי־יָצָ֤א הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ לְפָנֶ֔יךָ לְהַכֹּ֖ות אֶת־מַחֲנֵ֥ה פְלִשְׁתִּֽים׃ |
| [16]DavidH1732 therefore didH6213[H8799] as GodH430 commandedH6680[H8765] him: and they smoteH5221[H8686] the hostH4264 of the PhilistinesH6430 from GibeonH1391 even to GazerH1507. |
[16]וַיַּ֣עַשׂ דָּוִ֔יד כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּ֖הוּ הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים וַיַּכּוּ֙ אֶת־מַחֲנֵ֣ה פְלִשְׁתִּ֔ים מִגִּבְעֹ֖ון וְעַד־גָּֽזְרָה׃ |
| [17]And the fameH8034 of DavidH1732 went outH3318[H8799] into all landsH776; and the LORDH3068 broughtH5414[H8804] the fearH6343 of him upon all nationsH1471. |
[17]וַיֵּצֵ֥א שֵׁם־דָּוִ֖יד בְּכָל־הָֽאֲרָצֹ֑ות וַֽיהוָ֛ה נָתַ֥ן אֶת־פַּחְדֹּ֖ו עַל־כָּל־הַגֹּויִֽם׃ |
