[1]καὶ γίνεται ἡμέρα καὶ εἶπεν ιωναθαν υἱὸς σαουλ τῷ παιδαρίῳ τῷ αἴροντι τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ δεῦρο καὶ διαβῶμεν εἰς μεσσαβ τῶν ἀλλοφύλων τὴν ἐν τῷ πέραν ἐκείνῳ καὶ τῷ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἀπήγγειλεν |

[4]καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῆς διαβάσεως οὗ ἐζήτει ιωναθαν διαβῆναι εἰς τὴν ὑπόστασιν τῶν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ ἀκρωτήριον πέτρας ἔνθεν καὶ ἀκρωτήριον πέτρας ἔνθεν ὄνομα τῷ ἑνὶ βαζες καὶ ὄνομα τῷ ἄλλῳ σεννα |

[6]καὶ εἶπεν ιωναθαν πρὸς τὸ παιδάριον τὸ αἶρον τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ δεῦρο διαβῶμεν εἰς μεσσαβ τῶν ἀπεριτμήτων τούτων εἴ τι ποιήσαι ἡμῖν κύριος ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν τῷ κυρίῳ συνεχόμενον σῴζειν ἐν πολλοῖς ἢ ἐν ὀλίγοις |

[8]καὶ εἶπεν ιωναθαν ἰδοὺ ἡμεῖς διαβαίνομεν πρὸς τοὺς ἄνδρας καὶ κατακυλισθησόμεθα πρὸς αὐτούς |

[9]ἐὰν τάδε εἴπωσιν πρὸς ἡμᾶς ἀπόστητε ἐκεῖ ἕως ἂν ἀπαγγείλωμεν ὑμῖν καὶ στησόμεθα ἐφ ἑαυτοῖς καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀναβῶμεν ἐπ αὐτούς |
| [10]But if they sayH559[H8799] thus, Come upH5927[H8798] unto us; then we will go upH5927[H8804]: for the LORDH3068 hath deliveredH5414[H8804] them into our handH3027: and this shall be a sign unto usH226. |
[10]καὶ ἐὰν τάδε εἴπωσιν πρὸς ἡμᾶς ἀνάβητε πρὸς ἡμᾶς καὶ ἀναβησόμεθα ὅτι παραδέδωκεν αὐτοὺς κύριος εἰς τὰς χεῖρας ἡμῶν τοῦτο ἡμῖν τὸ σημεῖον |

[11]καὶ εἰσῆλθον ἀμφότεροι εἰς μεσσαβ τῶν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ λέγουσιν οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι ἰδοὺ οἱ εβραῖοι ἐκπορεύονται ἐκ τῶν τρωγλῶν αὐτῶν οὗ ἐκρύβησαν ἐκεῖ |

[12]καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν οἱ ἄνδρες μεσσαβ πρὸς ιωναθαν καὶ πρὸς τὸν αἴροντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ καὶ λέγουσιν ἀνάβητε πρὸς ἡμᾶς καὶ γνωριοῦμεν ὑμῖν ῥῆμα καὶ εἶπεν ιωναθαν πρὸς τὸν αἴροντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ ἀνάβηθι ὀπίσω μου ὅτι παρέδωκεν αὐτοὺς κύριος εἰς χεῖρας ισραηλ |

[13]καὶ ἀνέβη ιωναθαν ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ καὶ ὁ αἴρων τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ μετ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπέβλεψαν κατὰ πρόσωπον ιωναθαν καὶ ἐπάταξεν αὐτούς καὶ ὁ αἴρων τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ ἐπεδίδου ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ |
| [14]And that firstH7223 slaughterH4347, which JonathanH3129 and his armourbearerH5375[H8802][H3627] madeH5221[H8689], was about twentyH6242 menH376, within as it were an halfH2677 acreH4618 of landH7704, which a yoke of oxen might plowH6776. |
[14]καὶ ἐγενήθη ἡ πληγὴ ἡ πρώτη ἣν ἐπάταξεν ιωναθαν καὶ ὁ αἴρων τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ ὡς εἴκοσι ἄνδρες ἐν βολίσι καὶ ἐν πετροβόλοις καὶ ἐν κόχλαξιν τοῦ πεδίου |
| [15]And there was tremblingH2731 in the hostH4264, in the fieldH7704, and among all the peopleH5971: the garrisonH4673, and the spoilersH7843[H8688], they also trembledH2729[H8804], and the earthH776 quakedH7264[H8799]: so it was a very greatH430 tremblingH2731. |
[15]καὶ ἐγενήθη ἔκστασις ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ καὶ ἐν ἀγρῷ καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς οἱ ἐν μεσσαβ καὶ οἱ διαφθείροντες ἐξέστησαν καὶ αὐτοὶ οὐκ ἤθελον ποιεῖν καὶ ἐθάμβησεν ἡ γῆ καὶ ἐγενήθη ἔκστασις παρὰ κυρίου |

| [17]Then saidH559[H8799] SaulH7586 unto the peopleH5971 that were with him, NumberH6485[H8798] now, and seeH7200[H8798] who is goneH1980[H8804] from us. And when they had numberedH6485[H8799], behold, JonathanH3129 and his armourbearerH5375[H8802] were not thereH3627. |
[17]καὶ εἶπεν σαουλ τῷ λαῷ τῷ μετ αὐτοῦ ἐπισκέψασθε δὴ καὶ ἴδετε τίς πεπόρευται ἐξ ὑμῶν καὶ ἐπεσκέψαντο καὶ ἰδοὺ οὐχ εὑρίσκετο ιωναθαν καὶ ὁ αἴρων τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ |
| [18]And SaulH7586 saidH559[H8799] unto AhiahH281, Bring hitherH5066[H8685] the arkH727 of GodH430. For the arkH727 of GodH430 was at that timeH3117 with the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478. |
[18]καὶ εἶπεν σαουλ τῷ αχια προσάγαγε τὸ εφουδ ὅτι αὐτὸς ἦρεν τὸ εφουδ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἐνώπιον ισραηλ |
| [19]And it came to pass, while SaulH7586 talkedH1696[H8765] unto the priestH3548, that the noiseH1995 that was in the hostH4264 of the PhilistinesH6430 wentH3212[H8799] onH1980[H8800] and increasedH7227: and SaulH7586 saidH559[H8799] unto the priestH3548, WithdrawH622[H8798] thine handH3027. |
[19]καὶ ἐγενήθη ὡς ἐλάλει σαουλ πρὸς τὸν ἱερέα καὶ ὁ ἦχος ἐν τῇ παρεμβολῇ τῶν ἀλλοφύλων ἐπορεύετο πορευόμενος καὶ ἐπλήθυνεν καὶ εἶπεν σαουλ πρὸς τὸν ἱερέα συνάγαγε τὰς χεῖράς σου |
| [20]And SaulH7586 and all the peopleH5971 that were with him assembledH2199[H8735] themselves, and they cameH935[H8799] to the battleH4421: and, behold, every man'sH376 swordH2719 was against his fellowH7453, and there was a veryH3966 greatH1419 discomfitureH4103. |
[20]καὶ ἀνεβόησεν σαουλ καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ὁ μετ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔρχονται ἕως τοῦ πολέμου καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγένετο ῥομφαία ἀνδρὸς ἐπὶ τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ σύγχυσις μεγάλη σφόδρα |
| [21]Moreover the HebrewsH5680 that were with the PhilistinesH6430 beforeH865 that timeH8032, which went upH5927[H8804] with them into the campH4264 from the country round aboutH5439, even they also turned to be with the IsraelitesH3478 that were with SaulH7586 and JonathanH3129. |
[21]καὶ οἱ δοῦλοι οἱ ὄντες ἐχθὲς καὶ τρίτην ἡμέραν μετὰ τῶν ἀλλοφύλων οἱ ἀναβάντες εἰς τὴν παρεμβολὴν ἐπεστράφησαν καὶ αὐτοὶ εἶναι μετὰ ισραηλ τῶν μετὰ σαουλ καὶ ιωναθαν |
| [22]Likewise all the menH376 of IsraelH3478 which had hidH2244[H8693] themselves in mountH2022 EphraimH669, when they heardH8085[H8804] that the PhilistinesH6430 fledH5127[H8804], even they also followed hardH1692[H8686] afterH310 them in the battleH4421. |
[22]καὶ πᾶς ισραηλ οἱ κρυπτόμενοι ἐν τῷ ὄρει εφραιμ καὶ ἤκουσαν ὅτι πεφεύγασιν οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι καὶ συνάπτουσιν καὶ αὐτοὶ ὀπίσω αὐτῶν εἰς πόλεμον |
| [23]So the LORDH3068 savedH3467[H8686] IsraelH3478 that dayH3117: and the battleH4421 passed overH5674[H8804] unto BethavenH1007. |
[23]καὶ ἔσωσεν κύριος ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ τὸν ισραηλ καὶ ὁ πόλεμος διῆλθεν τὴν βαιθων καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἦν μετὰ σαουλ ὡς δέκα χιλιάδες ἀνδρῶν καὶ ἦν ὁ πόλεμος διεσπαρμένος εἰς ὅλην τὴν πόλιν ἐν τῷ ὄρει εφραιμ |
| [24]And the menH376 of IsraelH3478 were distressedH5065[H8738] that dayH3117: for SaulH7586 had adjuredH422[H8686] the peopleH5971, sayingH559[H8800], CursedH779[H8803] be the manH376 that eatethH398[H8799] any foodH3899 until eveningH6153, that I may be avengedH5358[H8738] on mine enemiesH341[H8802]. So none of the peopleH5971 tastedH2938[H8804] any foodH3899. |
[24]καὶ σαουλ ἠγνόησεν ἄγνοιαν μεγάλην ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ καὶ ἀρᾶται τῷ λαῷ λέγων ἐπικατάρατος ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὃς φάγεται ἄρτον ἕως ἑσπέρας καὶ ἐκδικήσω τὸν ἐχθρόν μου καὶ οὐκ ἐγεύσατο πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἄρτου |
| [25]And all they of the landH776 cameH935[H8804] to a woodH3293; and there was honeyH1706 uponH6440 the groundH7704. |
[25]καὶ πᾶσα ἡ γῆ ἠρίστα καὶ ιααρ δρυμὸς ἦν μελισσῶνος κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ ἀγροῦ |
| [26]And when the peopleH5971 were comeH935[H8799] into the woodH3293, behold, the honeyH1706 droppedH1982; but no man putH5381[H8688] his handH3027 to his mouthH6310: for the peopleH5971 fearedH3372[H8804] the oathH7621. |
[26]καὶ εἰσῆλθεν ὁ λαὸς εἰς τὸν μελισσῶνα καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐπορεύετο λαλῶν καὶ ἰδοὺ οὐκ ἦν ἐπιστρέφων τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἐφοβήθη ὁ λαὸς τὸν ὅρκον κυρίου |
| [27]But JonathanH3129 heardH8085[H8804] not when his fatherH1 chargedH7650 the peopleH5971 with the oathH7650[H8687]: wherefore he put forthH7971[H8799] the endH7097 of the rodH4294 that was in his handH3027, and dippedH2881[H8799] it in an honeycombH3295[H1706], and putH7725[H8686] his handH3027 to his mouthH6310; and his eyesH5869 were enlightenedH215.[H8799] |
[27]καὶ ιωναθαν οὐκ ἀκηκόει ἐν τῷ ὁρκίζειν τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦ τὸν λαόν καὶ ἐξέτεινεν τὸ ἄκρον τοῦ σκήπτρου αὐτοῦ τοῦ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔβαψεν αὐτὸ εἰς τὸ κηρίον τοῦ μέλιτος καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀνέβλεψαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοῦ |
| [28]Then answeredH6030[H8799] oneH376 of the peopleH5971, and saidH559[H8799], Thy fatherH1 straitlyH7650[H8687] chargedH7650 the peopleH5971 with an oathH7650[H8689], sayingH559[H8800], CursedH779[H8803] be the manH376 that eatethH398[H8799] any foodH3899 this dayH3117. And the peopleH5971 were faintH5774.[H8799] |
[28]καὶ ἀπεκρίθη εἷς ἐκ τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ εἶπεν ὁρκίσας ὥρκισεν ὁ πατήρ σου τὸν λαὸν λέγων ἐπικατάρατος ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὃς φάγεται ἄρτον σήμερον καὶ ἐξελύθη ὁ λαός |
| [29]Then saidH559[H8799] JonathanH3129, My fatherH1 hath troubledH5916[H8804] the landH776: seeH7200[H8798], I pray you, how mine eyesH5869 have been enlightenedH215[H8804], because I tastedH2938[H8804] a littleH4592 of this honeyH1706. |
[29]καὶ ἔγνω ιωναθαν καὶ εἶπεν ἀπήλλαχεν ὁ πατήρ μου τὴν γῆν ἰδὲ δὴ ὅτι εἶδον οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου ὅτι ἐγευσάμην βραχὺ τοῦ μέλιτος τούτου |
| [30]How much moreH637, if haplyH3863 the peopleH5971 had eatenH398[H8804] freelyH398[H8800] to dayH3117 of the spoilH7998 of their enemiesH341[H8802] which they foundH4672[H8804]? for had there not been now a much greaterH7235[H8804] slaughterH4347 among the PhilistinesH6430? |
[30]ἀλλ ὅτι εἰ ἔφαγεν ἔσθων ὁ λαὸς σήμερον τῶν σκύλων τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτῶν ὧν εὗρεν ὅτι νῦν ἂν μείζων ἦν ἡ πληγὴ ἐν τοῖς ἀλλοφύλοις |
| [31]And they smoteH5221[H8686] the PhilistinesH6430 that dayH3117 from MichmashH4363 to AijalonH357: and the peopleH5971 were veryH3966 faintH5774.[H8799] |
[31]καὶ ἐπάταξεν ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἐκ τῶν ἀλλοφύλων ἐν μαχεμας καὶ ἐκοπίασεν ὁ λαὸς σφόδρα |
| [32]And the peopleH5971 flewH5860[H8799][H6213][H8799] upon the spoilH7998, and tookH3947[H8799] sheepH6629, and oxenH1241, and calvesH1121, and slewH7819[H8799] them on the groundH776: and the peopleH5971 did eatH398[H8799] them with the bloodH1818. |
[32]καὶ ἐκλίθη ὁ λαὸς εἰς τὰ σκῦλα καὶ ἔλαβεν ὁ λαὸς ποίμνια καὶ βουκόλια καὶ τέκνα βοῶν καὶ ἔσφαξεν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ ἤσθιεν ὁ λαὸς σὺν τῷ αἵματι |
| [33]Then they toldH5046[H8686] SaulH7586, sayingH559[H8800], Behold, the peopleH5971 sinH2398[H8802] against the LORDH3068, in that they eatH398[H8800] with the bloodH1818. And he saidH559[H8799], Ye have transgressedH898[H8804]: rollH1556[H8798] a greatH1419 stoneH68 unto me this dayH3117. |
[33]καὶ ἀπηγγέλη τῷ σαουλ λέγοντες ἡμάρτηκεν ὁ λαὸς τῷ κυρίῳ φαγὼν σὺν τῷ αἵματι καὶ εἶπεν σαουλ ἐν γεθθεμ κυλίσατέ μοι λίθον ἐνταῦθα μέγαν |
| [34]And SaulH7586 saidH559[H8799], DisperseH6327[H8798] yourselves among the peopleH5971, and sayH559[H8804] unto them, Bring me hitherH5066[H8685] every manH376 his oxH7794, and every manH376 his sheepH7716, and slayH7819[H8804] them here, and eatH398[H8804]; and sinH2398[H8799] not against the LORDH3068 in eatingH398[H8800] with the bloodH1818. And all the peopleH5971 broughtH5066[H8686] every manH376 his oxH7794 with himH3027 that nightH3915, and slewH7819 them thereH8799. |
[34]καὶ εἶπεν σαουλ διασπάρητε ἐν τῷ λαῷ καὶ εἴπατε αὐτοῖς προσαγαγεῖν ἐνταῦθα ἕκαστος τὸν μόσχον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἕκαστος τὸ πρόβατον αὐτοῦ καὶ σφαζέτω ἐπὶ τούτου καὶ οὐ μὴ ἁμάρτητε τῷ κυρίῳ τοῦ ἐσθίειν σὺν τῷ αἵματι καὶ προσῆγεν πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἕκαστος τὸ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσφαζον ἐκεῖ |

[35]καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν ἐκεῖ σαουλ θυσιαστήριον τῷ κυρίῳ τοῦτο ἤρξατο σαουλ οἰκοδομῆσαι θυσιαστήριον τῷ κυρίῳ |
| [36]And SaulH7586 saidH559[H8799], Let us go downH3381[H8799] afterH310 the PhilistinesH6430 by nightH3915, and spoilH962[H8799] them until the morningH1242 lightH216, and let us not leaveH7604[H8686] a manH376 of them. And they saidH559[H8799], DoH6213[H8798] whatsoever seemethH5869 goodH2896 unto thee. Then saidH559[H8799] the priestH3548, Let us draw nearH7126[H8799] hitherH1988 unto GodH430. |
[36]καὶ εἶπεν σαουλ καταβῶμεν ὀπίσω τῶν ἀλλοφύλων τὴν νύκτα καὶ διαρπάσωμεν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἕως διαφαύσῃ ἡ ἡμέρα καὶ μὴ ὑπολίπωμεν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἄνδρα καὶ εἶπαν πᾶν τὸ ἀγαθὸν ἐνώπιόν σου ποίει καὶ εἶπεν ὁ ἱερεύς προσέλθωμεν ἐνταῦθα πρὸς τὸν θεόν |
| [37]And SaulH7586 askedH7592[H8799] counsel of GodH430, Shall I go downH3381[H8799] afterH310 the PhilistinesH6430? wilt thou deliverH5414[H8799] them into the handH3027 of IsraelH3478? But he answeredH6030[H8804] him not that dayH3117. |
[37]καὶ ἐπηρώτησεν σαουλ τὸν θεόν εἰ καταβῶ ὀπίσω τῶν ἀλλοφύλων εἰ παραδώσεις αὐτοὺς εἰς χεῖρας ισραηλ καὶ οὐκ ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ |
| [38]And SaulH7586 saidH559[H8799], Draw ye nearH5066[H8798] hitherH1988, all the chiefH6438 of the peopleH5971: and knowH3045[H8798] and seeH7200[H8798] whereinH4100 this sinH2403 hath been this dayH3117. |
[38]καὶ εἶπεν σαουλ προσαγάγετε ἐνταῦθα πάσας τὰς γωνίας τοῦ ισραηλ καὶ γνῶτε καὶ ἴδετε ἐν τίνι γέγονεν ἡ ἁμαρτία αὕτη σήμερον |
| [39]For, as the LORDH3068 livethH2416, which savethH3467[H8688] IsraelH3478, though it beH3426 in JonathanH3129 my sonH1121, he shall surelyH4191[H8800] dieH4191[H8799]. But there was not a man among all the peopleH5971 that answeredH6030 himH8802. |
[39]ὅτι ζῇ κύριος ὁ σώσας τὸν ισραηλ ὅτι ἐὰν ἀποκριθῇ κατὰ ιωναθαν τοῦ υἱοῦ μου θανάτῳ ἀποθανεῖται καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ ἀποκρινόμενος ἐκ παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ |
| [40]Then saidH559[H8799] he unto all IsraelH3478, Be ye on oneH259 sideH5676, and I and JonathanH3129 my sonH1121 will be on the otherH259 sideH5676. And the peopleH5971 saidH559[H8799] unto SaulH7586, DoH6213[H8798] what seemethH5869 good unto theeH2896. |
[40]καὶ εἶπεν παντὶ ισραηλ ὑμεῖς ἔσεσθε εἰς δουλείαν καὶ ἐγὼ καὶ ιωναθαν ὁ υἱός μου ἐσόμεθα εἰς δουλείαν καὶ εἶπεν ὁ λαὸς πρὸς σαουλ τὸ ἀγαθὸν ἐνώπιόν σου ποίει |
| [41]Therefore SaulH7586 saidH559[H8799] unto the LORDH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478, GiveH3051[H8798] a perfectH8549 lot. And SaulH7586 and JonathanH3129 were takenH3920[H8735]: but the peopleH5971 escapedH3318.[H8804] |
[41]καὶ εἶπεν σαουλ κύριε ὁ θεὸς ισραηλ τί ὅτι οὐκ ἀπεκρίθης τῷ δούλῳ σου σήμερον εἰ ἐν ἐμοὶ ἢ ἐν ιωναθαν τῷ υἱῷ μου ἡ ἀδικία κύριε ὁ θεὸς ισραηλ δὸς δήλους καὶ ἐὰν τάδε εἴπῃς ἐν τῷ λαῷ σου ισραηλ δὸς δὴ ὁσιότητα καὶ κληροῦται ιωναθαν καὶ σαουλ καὶ ὁ λαὸς ἐξῆλθεν |
| [42]And SaulH7586 saidH559[H8799], CastH5307[H8685] lots between me and JonathanH3129 my sonH1121. And JonathanH3129 was takenH3920.[H8735] |
[42]καὶ εἶπεν σαουλ βάλετε ἀνὰ μέσον ἐμοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον ιωναθαν τοῦ υἱοῦ μου ὃν ἂν κατακληρώσηται κύριος ἀποθανέτω καὶ εἶπεν ὁ λαὸς πρὸς σαουλ οὐκ ἔστιν τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο καὶ κατεκράτησεν σαουλ τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ βάλλουσιν ἀνὰ μέσον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον ιωναθαν τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ κατακληροῦται ιωναθαν |
| [43]Then SaulH7586 saidH559[H8799] to JonathanH3129, TellH5046[H8685] me what thou hast doneH6213[H8804]. And JonathanH3129 toldH5046[H8686] him, and saidH559[H8799], I did butH2938[H8800] tasteH2938[H8804] a littleH4592 honeyH1706 with the endH7097 of the rodH4294 that was in mine handH3027, and, loH2009, I must dieH4191.[H8799] |
[43]καὶ εἶπεν σαουλ πρὸς ιωναθαν ἀπάγγειλόν μοι τί πεποίηκας καὶ ἀπήγγειλεν αὐτῷ ιωναθαν καὶ εἶπεν γευσάμενος ἐγευσάμην ἐν ἄκρῳ τῷ σκήπτρῳ τῷ ἐν τῇ χειρί μου βραχὺ μέλι ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀποθνῄσκω |
| [44]And SaulH7586 answeredH559[H8799], GodH430 do soH6213[H8799] and more alsoH3254[H8686]: for thou shalt surelyH4191[H8800] dieH4191[H8799], JonathanH3129. |
[44]καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ σαουλ τάδε ποιήσαι μοι ὁ θεὸς καὶ τάδε προσθείη ὅτι θανάτῳ ἀποθανῇ σήμερον |
| [45]And the peopleH5971 saidH559[H8799] unto SaulH7586, Shall JonathanH3129 dieH4191[H8799], who hath wroughtH6213[H8804] this greatH1419 salvationH3444 in IsraelH3478? God forbidH2486: as the LORDH3068 livethH2416, there shall not one hairH8185 of his headH7218 fallH5307[H8799] to the groundH776; for he hath wroughtH6213[H8804] with GodH430 this dayH3117. So the peopleH5971 rescuedH6299[H8799] JonathanH3129, that he diedH4191 notH8804. |
[45]καὶ εἶπεν ὁ λαὸς πρὸς σαουλ εἰ σήμερον θανατωθήσεται ὁ ποιήσας τὴν σωτηρίαν τὴν μεγάλην ταύτην ἐν ισραηλ ζῇ κύριος εἰ πεσεῖται τῆς τριχὸς τῆς κεφαλῆς αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ὅτι ὁ λαὸς τοῦ θεοῦ ἐποίησεν τὴν ἡμέραν ταύτην καὶ προσηύξατο ὁ λαὸς περὶ ιωναθαν ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ καὶ οὐκ ἀπέθανεν |

[46]καὶ ἀνέβη σαουλ ἀπὸ ὄπισθεν τῶν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ οἱ ἀλλόφυλοι ἀπῆλθον εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτῶν |
| [47]So SaulH7586 tookH3920[H8804] the kingdomH4410 over IsraelH3478, and foughtH3898[H8735] against all his enemiesH341[H8802] on every sideH5439, against MoabH4124, and against the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983, and against EdomH123, and against the kingsH4428 of ZobahH6678, and against the PhilistinesH6430: and whithersoever he turnedH6437[H8799] himself, he vexedH7561 themH8686. |
[47]καὶ σαουλ κατακληροῦται ἔργον ἐπὶ ισραηλ καὶ ἐπολέμει κύκλῳ πάντας τοὺς ἐχθροὺς αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν μωαβ καὶ εἰς τοὺς υἱοὺς αμμων καὶ εἰς τοὺς υἱοὺς εδωμ καὶ εἰς τὸν βαιθεωρ καὶ εἰς βασιλέα σουβα καὶ εἰς τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους οὗ ἂν ἐστράφη ἐσῴζετο |
| [48]And he gatheredH6213[H8799] an hostH2428, and smoteH5221[H8686] the AmalekitesH6002, and deliveredH5337[H8686] IsraelH3478 out of the handsH3027 of them that spoiledH8154 themH8802. |
[48]καὶ ἐποίησεν δύναμιν καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸν αμαληκ καὶ ἐξείλατο τὸν ισραηλ ἐκ χειρὸς τῶν καταπατούντων αὐτόν |

[49]καὶ ἦσαν υἱοὶ σαουλ ιωναθαν καὶ ιεσσιου καὶ μελχισα καὶ ὀνόματα τῶν δύο θυγατέρων αὐτοῦ ὄνομα τῇ πρωτοτόκῳ μεροβ καὶ ὄνομα τῇ δευτέρᾳ μελχολ |
| [50]And the nameH8034 of Saul'sH7586 wifeH802 was AhinoamH293, the daughterH1323 of AhimaazH290: and the nameH8034 of the captainH8269 of his hostH6635 was AbnerH74, the sonH1121 of NerH5369, Saul'sH7586 uncleH1730. |
[50]καὶ ὄνομα τῇ γυναικὶ αὐτοῦ αχινοομ θυγάτηρ αχιμαας καὶ ὄνομα τῷ ἀρχιστρατήγῳ αβεννηρ υἱὸς νηρ υἱοῦ οἰκείου σαουλ |
| [51]And KishH7027 was the fatherH1 of SaulH7586; and NerH5369 the fatherH1 of AbnerH74 was the sonH1121 of AbielH22. |
[51]καὶ κις πατὴρ σαουλ καὶ νηρ πατὴρ αβεννηρ υἱὸς ιαμιν υἱοῦ αβιηλ |
| [52]And there was soreH2389 warH4421 against the PhilistinesH6430 all the daysH3117 of SaulH7586: and when SaulH7586 sawH7200[H8804] any strongH1368 manH376, or any valiantH2428 manH1121, he tookH622 him unto himH8799. |
[52]καὶ ἦν ὁ πόλεμος κραταιὸς ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀλλοφύλους πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας σαουλ καὶ ἰδὼν σαουλ πάντα ἄνδρα δυνατὸν καὶ πάντα ἄνδρα υἱὸν δυνάμεως καὶ συνήγαγεν αὐτοὺς πρὸς αὐτόν |
