[1]And you know you my brothers that our introduction that was to you not it for nothing has been |
[1]And you know, my brethren, that our entrance unto you was not in vain, |
[2]But first we suffered and we were abused as you know in Philippus and then in a struggle great we spoke with you with the boldness of our Alaha the Gospel of The Messiah |
[2]But having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as you know, in Philipos, and then [even] in great conflict we spoke with you with the confidence of our God the gospel of the Meshiha. |
[3]Our comfort for not was from deception neither from impurity neither by treachery |
[3]For our exhortation was not from deceit, nor from uncleanness, nor from guile; |
[4]But as when we were approved by Alaha to be entrusted with His gospel so we speak not as if the children of men we would please but to Alaha Him Who proves our hearts |
[4]But as approved of Aloha to be intrusted with his gospel, so speaking as not to please men, but Aloha who trieth our hearts. |
[5]Neither for ever do we employ speaking solicitation as know you neither in pretext of greed Alaha testifies |
[5]For never have we used flattering speech, as you know, nor for an occasion of covetousness, Aloha witnesseth. |
[6]Neither do we seek glory from children of men not from you neither from others when we could have been honored to be as apostles of The Messiah |
[6]Neither have we sought glory from men, either from you or from others, though we could have been honoured ones, as the apostles of the Meshiha; |
[7]But we were among you meek and as a nursemaid who cherishes her children |
[7]But we were humble among you, and, as a nurse who loveth her children, |
[8]In this way also we we cherish and we long to give you not only the Good News of Alaha but also our lives because our beloved you are |
[8]So also we loved, and were desirous to impart to you, not only the gospel of Aloha, but also our life, because we loved you. |
[9]Remember you for brethren that toiling we were and laboring by works of our hands by night and by day that upon one of you not we may be a burden |
[9]Remember, therefore, my brethren, how we laboured and toiled in the work of our hands by night and by day, that we might not be a burden on one of you. |
[10]You are witnesses and Alaha how we preached to you the Good News of Alaha purely and rightly and without fault we were toward all of them the believers |
[10]You witness and Aloha, how we preached to you the gospel of Aloha, purely and justly, and were without blame with all the faithful. |
[11]Just as know you that from each one of you as a father with his children pleading we have been and filling we are your hearts and we charge you |
[11]As you know how every one of you, as a father his children, we exhorted, and spoke with your hearts; |
[12]To walk as is suitable to Alaha He Who called you to His kingdom and to His glory |
[12]And [now] we testify to you how you should walk worthy of Aloha himself who hath called you to his kingdom and to his glory. |
[13]Because of this also we we thank constantly to Alaha that the word of Alaha that you have received from us not it was as the word of the children of men you received it but just as it is truly the word of Alaha and which by works is working among you in those who believe |
[13]WHEREFORE we also give thanks constantly unto Aloha, that the word of Aloha which you received from us, was not as the word of man [that] you received [it], but, as it is truly, the word of Aloha, which in operation worketh [alike] in you and in all them who believe. |
[14]You but my brethren you imitated the churches of Alaha that are in Judea these who are in Ieshu The Messiah so you suffered also you from the children of your nation just as also they of The Judeans |
[14]But you, my brethren, have become like the churches of Aloha which are in Jihud, who are in Jeshu Meshiha, because you likewise sufferⓘ from your fellow-country-men,ⓘ as they also from the Jihudoyee; |
[15]Those who our Lord Ieshu The Messiah murdered and the prophets who were from them and us they have persecuted and Alaha not they please and have become opposed to all children of men |
[15]Who killed our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, and the prophets who were of them, and ourselves have persecuted, and Aloha have not pleased, and have acted adversely to all men; |
[16]For they forbid us to speak with the nations that they may live to fulfill their sins in every time has arrived but upon them fury until the end |
[16]Who forbid us to speak with the Gentiles that they might be saved; to fill up their sins for all time: but upon them cometh the wrath unto the end! |
[17]We but brethren we were bereaved of you a time of an hour in faces and not in our hearts and all the more we took pains to see your faces in love much |
[17]BUT we, my brethren, having been bereaved-ones of you the time of an hour, as to our presence,ⓘ but not in our heart, have been the more solicitous to see your faces with great love, |
[18]And we wished to come to you I Paul one time and twice and hindered me Satan |
[18]And have wished to come to you [even] I, Paulos, one time and two; but Satana hindered me. |
[19]What is? for our hope and our joy and crown of our glory but only you before our Lord Ieshu at His coming |
[19]For what is our hope and our joy, and the crown of our glorying, but you, before our Lord Jeshu at his coming? |
[20]You are for our glory and our joy |
[20]For you are our glory and our joy. |
