| [1]I but Paul beg I of you by the serenity and the gentleness of The Messiah when our face is among faces gentle I am with you but when distant I am bold I am toward you |
[1]BUT I Paulos beseech of you by the peacefulness and humility of the Meshiha, [I] who also in presence am humble with you, but while far off am confident over you, |
| [2]Beg I but of you that not when I come it is necessary by boldness that is to me to presume as that give counsel I against persons those who account us as if in the flesh we walk |
[2]Beseech of you, that when I come I may not be constrained with the confidence I have to be bold, as I think, over those men who imagine that we walk in the flesh. |
| [3]Even if in the flesh for walking we are on the other hand not has been that in the flesh we war |
[3]For if we walk in the flesh, yet we war not according to the flesh. |
| [4]Weapons for of our war not are of the flesh but of the power of Alaha and by it we subdue fortresses rebellious |
[4]For the armour of our warfare is not of the flesh, but of the power of Aloha; and by it we cast down the strong-holds of rebels, |
| [5]And we pull down reasonings and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of Alaha and we take prisoner all minds for the obedience of The Messiah |
[5]And demolish reasonings and every lofty thing that is exalted against the knowledge of Aloha, and captivate all thoughts unto the obedience of the Meshiha. |
| [6]And we are prepared to execute the punishment of those who not obey when is fulfilled your obedience |
[6]And we are prepared to execute the punishment of those who obey not, when your obedience shall be fulfilled. |
| [7]At persons gaze you if a man trusts upon himself that of The Messiah he is this let him know from his soul that as he is of The Messiah in this way also we are |
[7]Do we regard persons? If any man confide in himself that he is of the Meshiha, let this one know of himself, that as he is of the Meshiha, so also are we. |
| [8]If for also anything more I boast of authority that gives to me our Lord not am ashamed I because for edification it is your He gave to us and not for your destruction |
[8]For if I should boast somewhat more of the authority which our Lord hath given me, I should not blush; because for your edification he gave it to me, and not for your destruction. |
| [9]Avoid it I but lest it be supposed as that to terrify terrify I you with my epistle |
[9]But I insist not,ⓘ that I may not be considered as one who would terrify you by my epistles. |
| [10]Because there are people who say "the letters are weighty and are powerful his coming but bodily is weak and his speech contemptible |
[10]For there are men who say, His epistles are weighty and forcible; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible. |
| [11]But this let him consider who in this way speaks that as we are in the message of our epistles when we are absent in this way we are also when we are present in deeds |
[11]But he who after this manner speaks, shall conclude that what we are by the word of our epistle when absent, so are we in the deed when we are present. |
| [12]Not for we dare to value or to compare ourselves with those who flaunt themselves but so those among them themselves comparing not are wise |
[12]For we dare not value or compare ourselves with those who glorify themselves; but because they compare themselves with themselves, they do not understand. |
| [13]We but not we boast beyond our size but in the measure of the limits that distributed to us Alaha to reach also as far as to you |
[13]For we do not boast beyond our measure, but in the measure of the boundary which Aloha hath apportioned to us, that we might come also unto you. |
| [14]Not was for as if that not we arrived to you we joined ourselves as far as for to you we arrived with the gospel of The Messiah |
[14]For it is not as not reaching to you [by divine appointment] we extend ourselves; for unto you we come with the gospel of the Meshiha. |
| [15]And not we glory outside of our measure in the labor of others but is us hope that when increases your faith by you we shall be magnified according to our measure and we shall abound |
[15]Neither boast we beyond our measure in the labour of others; but we have hope, that with the increase of your faith, we shall be enlarged according to our measure; |
| [16]Also to beyond from you to preach the gospel not by the measure of others whomever we have won shall we boast |
[16]And be progressive also beyond you to evangelize. Not as within the measure of others in the things that are prepared will we glory. |
| [17]He but who boasts in the Lord let him boast |
[17]But let him who glorieth glory in the Lord. |
| [18]Not is for he who himself praises who is approved but he whom the Lord praises |
[18]For it is not he who glorifieth himself who is approved, but he who is glorified of the Lord. |
