[1]Would that! but patient you were with me a little while I shall speak foolishly but also patient you are with me |
[1]BUT I could desire that you could tolerate me a little that I may speak foolishly. Nevertheless tolerate me, |
[2]Jealous I am for over you in the jealousy of Alaha I have betrothed for to Man One a virgin pure to present to The Messiah |
[2]For I am zealous towards you with the zeal of Aloha; for I have betrothed you to one man, a pure virgin, whom I would bring unto the Meshiha. |
[3]Fear I but lest as seduced the serpent Eve by his craftiness in this way may be corrupted your minds from the simplicity that is with The Messiah |
[3]But I fear lest, as the serpent deceived 'Hava by his guile, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is toward the Meshiha. |
[4]If for he who comes to you another Ieshu would preach to you whom that we not we preached or spirit another you receive which that not you have received or gospel another which that not you have received well persuaded you may be |
[4]For if he who hath come to you shall preach to you another Jeshu, whom we have not preached, or you receive another Spirit which you have not received or another gospel which you have not accepted, you would have been well persuaded. |
[5]Think I for that in anything not I have come short of apostles those who greatly excel |
[5]For I consider that I am nothing inferior to those apostles who are most excellent. |
[6]Even if for simple I am in my speech but not in my knowledge but in all things we have been revealed to you |
[6]For if I am rude in my speech, I yet am not in my knowledge; but in every thing we are manifest among you. |
[7]Or interrog. to wrong you have I offended? that I humbled myself that you may be exalted and without charge I may preach to you the gospel of Alaha |
[7]Or, offending have I offended in humbling myself that you may be exalted, and have gratuitously preached to you the gospel of Aloha? |
[8]And assemblies other I robbed and I took expenses for ministration your |
[8]And other churches have I despoiled, receiving of them expenses, for your service. |
[9]And when I came among you and there was want to me not I was a burden upon each of you my want for they satisfied brethren who came from Maqedonia and in every thing I kept myself and shall keep I lest I may be a burden upon you |
[9]And being come among you, I burdened no man of you; for my want the brethren who came from Makedunia supplied: and in every thing have I kept myself, and will keep, that I may not be burdensome to you. |
[10]Is in me the truth of The Messiah that this boasting not shall fail in me in the region of Akaia |
[10]The truth of the Meshiha is in me, that this boasting shall not be abolished respecting me in the regions of Akaia. |
[11]Why? because that not love I you Alaha Himself knows |
[11]Why? because I love you not? Aloha himself knoweth! |
[12]But this that do I also I shall do to cut off the accusations of those who seek a pretext so in that thing which they brag they will be found like us |
[12]But I do this, and also will do it, to cut off the occasion of them who seek an occasion, that in the thing in which they boast they may be found as we are. |
[13]Are for these apostles false and workers treacherous and they liken themselves to apostles of The Messiah |
[13]For these are apostles of falsehood and workers of deceits, assimilating themselves to the apostles of the Meshiha. |
[14]And not to wonder at this if he for who is Satan resembles an angel of light |
[14]Nor in this may we wonder, if Satana himself be transformed into an angel of light. |
[15]Not has been great a matter if also his ministers imitate ministers of righteousness those whose end will be like their works |
[15]Nor is it a great thing if his ministers also are transformed into ministers of righteousness;-whose end will be according to their works. |
[16]Again but say I no man should think of me as if a fool I am and if not even as a fool receive me that also I a little I may brag |
[16]BUT I say again, Let no man think of me as a fool; or if otherwise, let him receive me as a fool, that I also may boast a little. |
[17]Anything that speak I not it is by our Lord speak I but as in folly on this occasion of boasting |
[17]The thing which I [now] speak, I do not speak inⓘ our Lord, but as in foolishness in this place of boasting. |
[18]Because many boast in the flesh also I shall brag |
[18]Because many boast in the flesh, I also will boast. |
[19]Of those you are? for listening to those lacking intelligence while you wise are |
[19]For you are content to listen to the feebleminded, you yourselves being wise. |
[20]And submit? you to the one who is subject to you and to him who embezzles you and to him who takes from you and to him who exalts himself over you and to him who strikes you on your face |
[20]For you are ruledⓘ by one who subjugates you, and by one who devours you, and by one who takes away from you, and by one who exalts himself over you, and by one who smites you on your faces! |
[21]As one in dishonor speak I as if it is that we poor are by lack of intelligence say I that in all things that presumes a man also I presume do |
[21]As in abasement I speak; as though we were weak through defectiveness of mind, I speak. In whatever any man dareth, I also dare. |
[22]If Hebrews they are also I am if Israelites they are also I am if the seed they are of Abraham also I am |
[22]If they are Ebroyee, so am I; if they are Isroloyee, so am I; if they are the seed of Abraham, so am I; |
[23]If ministers they are of The Messiah by lack of intelligence say I that greater than they I am in toil more than they with wounds more than they in chains more than they in death times many |
[23]If they are ministers of the Meshiha,—I speak with defectiveness of mind,—I exceed then! In labours I exceed them, in stripes I exceed them, in chains I exceed them, in deaths many times. |
[24]From the Judeans five times forty forty lacking one I have been whipped |
[24]From the Jihudoyee, five times, forty [stripes] wanting one have I devoured; |
[25]Three times with rods I have been scourged one time I was stoned three times I have been shipwrecked a day and a night without a ship in the sea I have been |
[25]Three times with staves have I been beaten, once was I stoned, three times have I been in shipwreck, a day and a night without a ship have I been in the sea. |
[26]On journeys many in dangers of rivers in dangers of robbers in dangers that from my kindred in dangers that from the nations in dangers I was in the city in dangers I was in the desert in dangers in the sea in dangers that from brethren false |
[26]In journeys many, in danger of rivers, in danger of robbers, in danger from my own race, in danger from the Gentiles; I have been in danger in cities, I have been in danger in the waste, in danger by sea, in danger from false brethren; |
[27]In toil and in fatigue in vigils many in hunger and in thirst in fasts many in cold and in nakedness |
[27]In labour and weariness, in much watching, in hunger and thirst, in much fasting, in cold and in nakedness; |
[28]Aside from many things and crowds who are with me of every day and my care that is upon my person all the churches |
[28]Besides the aboundings and the gathering which are upon me daily even my care which is for all the churches. |
[29]Who is? suffering and not I suffering am who is? stumbled and not I burning am |
[29]Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is offended, and I burn not? |
[30]If to boast it is fitting in my sufferings I shall boast |
[30]If I must boast in my infirmities, I will boast. |
[31]Knows He Alaha The Father of our Lord Ieshu The Messiah blessed to eternity of eternities that not lie I |
[31]Aloha, the Father of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, the Blessed for ever and ever, knoweth that I lie not. |
[32]In Dramsuq the leader of the army of Aretus the king guarding was the city of the Damascenes to seize me |
[32]In Darmsuk the great force of Aretos the king kept the city of the Darmsukoyee to apprehend me. |
[33]And from a window in a basket they lowered me from a wall and I escaped from their hands |
[33]And from a window in a basket they sent me from the wall, and I was delivered from his hands. |
