Peshitta NT (Etheridge, 1849)
PesNT(Eth)
Peshitta NT (literal)
PesNT(lit)
[1]ON this account we have not weariness in this ministry which we have received, according to the mercies that are upon us. [1]Because of this not it is tiresome to us in ministry this which we hold as mercy has been upon us
[2]But we have rejected the secrets of shamefulness; and walk not with craft, nor deal deceitfully [with] the word of Aloha; but by the revelation of the truth make we ourselves manifest to the minds of all men before Aloha. [2]But we reject the secrets of shame and not we walk in craftiness and not deny we the word of Alaha but in the revelation of the truth we show our souls to all minds of children of men before Alaha
[3]But if our gospel is hid, to those who perish is it hid: [3]And if but hidden is Gospel our to those who are lost it is hidden
[4][To] them whose minds the god of this world hath blinded because they believe not; lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Meshiha, who is the image of Aloha, should arise upon them. [4]Those whom the Alaha of world this has blinded their intellects because not they believe lest should dawn to them the light of the Gospel of the glory of The Messiah Who is The Image of Alaha
[5]For we preach not ourselves, but the Meshiha, Jeshu our Lord; but ourselves that we are your servants for the sake of Jeshu. [5]Not it has been for ourselves we preach but The Messiah Ieshu our Lord ourselves but who your servants we are for the sake of Ieshu
[6]For Aloha, who said, Let light arise from darkness, hath arisen in our hearts; that we should be illuminated by the knowledge of the glory of Aloha in the face of Jeshu Meshiha. [6]Because of Alaha He Who said that from darkness light shall shine He has dawned in our hearts that we would be enlightened with the knowledge of the glory of Alaha in the face of Ieshu The Messiah
[7]BUT we have this treasure in a vase of earth, that the greatness of the power might be from Aloha, and not from us. [7]Is us but treasure this in vessels earthen that the greatness of the power from Alaha would be and not from us
[8]But in every thing we are afflicted, yet not strangled; we are beaten, yet not condemned; [8]In all things for we are squeezed but not we are strangled we are harassed but not condemned we are
[9]Persecuted, yet not forsaken; cast down, yet we perish not. [9]We are persecuted but not we are forsaken we are cast down but not we are defeated
[10]In all time the dying of Jeshu in our bodies we bear, that the life also of Jeshu might in our bodies be revealed. [10]In every time the dying of Ieshu in our bodies we bear that also the life of Ieshu in our bodies may be revealed
[11]For if we, the living, unto death are delivered on account of Jeshu, so also will the life of Jeshu be revealed in this our body of death. [11]If we are for the living to death are delivered for the sake of Ieshu in this way also the life of Ieshu will be revealed in our body this mortal
[12]Now death in us worketh earnestly, but life in you. [12]Now death in us labors and life in you
[13]We then also who have one spirit of faith, as it is written, I have believed, and therefore also spoken; we believe, therefore also we speak. [13]Also we therefore who one that spirit of faith is in us as it is written I believed because of this also I speak we believe because of this also we speak
[14]And we know that He who raised up our Lord Jeshu, will by Jeshu raise us also, and will present us with you unto himself. [14]And we know that He Who raised our Lord Ieshu also us by Ieshu shall raise and shall bring us with you to Him
[15]For every thing is for your sake, that grace, abounding by many, may multiply praise to the glory of Aloha. [15]Everything for for your sakes is and when abounds grace by many will abound thanksgiving to the glory of Alaha
[16]For this cause we have not weariness; for if our outward man is wasted, yet the interior man is renovated day by day. [16]Because of this not it is tiresome to us even if our person for external is being destroyed on the other hand that from within is renewed day by day
[17]For the affliction of this time, while small and light, a glory without end for ever and ever prepareth for us. [17]The suffering for of time this while very small and swift glory great without limits to the eternity of eternities prepares us
[18]While we look not on these which are seen, but at those which are unseen. For the seen are of time, but the unseen are of eternity. [18]For not we rejoice in these things that are seen but in these things that not are seen for things seen for are of time those are that not
