[1]καὶ ελισαιε ἐλάλησεν πρὸς τὴν γυναῖκα ἧς ἐζωπύρησεν τὸν υἱόν λέγων ἀνάστηθι καὶ δεῦρο σὺ καὶ ὁ οἶκός σου καὶ παροίκει οὗ ἐὰν παροικήσῃς ὅτι κέκληκεν κύριος λιμὸν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καί γε ἦλθεν ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν ἑπτὰ ἔτη	[1]Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Up, and go, thou, and thine house, and sojourn where thou canst sojourn: for the Lord hath called for a famine, and it cometh also upon the land seven years.
[2]καὶ ἀνέστη ἡ γυνὴ καὶ ἐποίησεν κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμα ελισαιε καὶ ἐπορεύθη αὐτὴ καὶ ὁ οἶκος αὐτῆς καὶ παρῴκει ἐν γῇ ἀλλοφύλων ἑπτὰ ἔτη	[2]And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God, and went both she and her household and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.
[3]καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τὸ τέλος τῶν ἑπτὰ ἐτῶν καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν ἡ γυνὴ ἐκ γῆς ἀλλοφύλων εἰς τὴν πόλιν καὶ ἦλθεν βοῆσαι πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα περὶ τοῦ οἴκου ἑαυτῆς καὶ περὶ τῶν ἀγρῶν ἑαυτῆς	[3]And at the seven years' end, the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines, and went out to call upon the king for her house and for her land.
[4]καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐλάλει πρὸς γιεζι τὸ παιδάριον ελισαιε τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τοῦ θεοῦ λέγων διήγησαι δή μοι πάντα τὰ μεγάλα ἃ ἐποίησεν ελισαιε	[4]And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great acts, that Elisha hath done.
[5]καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτοῦ ἐξηγουμένου τῷ βασιλεῖ ὡς ἐζωπύρησεν υἱὸν τεθνηκότα καὶ ἰδοὺ ἡ γυνή ἧς ἐζωπύρησεν τὸν υἱὸν αὐτῆς ελισαιε βοῶσα πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα περὶ τοῦ οἴκου ἑαυτῆς καὶ περὶ τῶν ἀγρῶν ἑαυτῆς καὶ εἶπεν γιεζι κύριε βασιλεῦ αὕτη ἡ γυνή καὶ οὗτος ὁ υἱὸς αὐτῆς ὃν ἐζωπύρησεν ελισαιε	[5]And as he told the king, how he had restored one dead to life, behold, the woman, whose son he had raised to life, called upon the king for her house and for her land. Then Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.
[6]καὶ ἐπηρώτησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τὴν γυναῖκα καὶ διηγήσατο αὐτῷ καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτῇ ὁ βασιλεὺς εὐνοῦχον ἕνα λέγων ἐπίστρεψον πάντα τὰ αὐτῆς καὶ πάντα τὰ γενήματα τοῦ ἀγροῦ αὐτῆς ἀπὸ τῆς ἡμέρας ἧς κατέλιπεν τὴν γῆν ἕως τοῦ νῦν	[6]And when the king asked the woman, she told him: so the king appointed her an eunuch, saying, Restore thou all that are hers, and all the fruits of her lands since the day she left the land, even until this time.
[7]καὶ ἦλθεν ελισαιε εἰς δαμασκόν καὶ υἱὸς αδερ βασιλεὺς συρίας ἠρρώστει καὶ ἀνήγγειλαν αὐτῷ λέγοντες ἥκει ὁ ἄνθρωπος τοῦ θεοῦ ἕως ὧδε	[7]Then Elisha came to Damascus, and Ben-hadad the king of Aram [Syria] was sick, and one told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.
[8]καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεὺς πρὸς αζαηλ λαβὲ ἐν τῇ χειρί σου μαναα καὶ δεῦρο εἰς ἀπαντὴν τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἐπιζήτησον τὸν κύριον παρ αὐτοῦ λέγων εἰ ζήσομαι ἐκ τῆς ἀρρωστίας μου ταύτης	[8]And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go meet the man of God, that thou mayest inquire of the Lord by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?
[9]καὶ ἐπορεύθη αζαηλ εἰς ἀπαντὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔλαβεν μαναα ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ πάντα τὰ ἀγαθὰ δαμασκοῦ ἄρσιν τεσσαράκοντα καμήλων καὶ ἦλθεν καὶ ἔστη ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς ελισαιε ὁ υἱός σου υἱὸς αδερ βασιλεὺς συρίας ἀπέστειλέν με πρὸς σὲ λέγων εἰ ζήσομαι ἐκ τῆς ἀρρωστίας μου ταύτης	[9]So Hazael went to meet him, and took the present in his hand, and of every good thing of Damascus, even the burden of forty camels, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Ben-hadad king of Aram [Syria] hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?
[10]καὶ εἶπεν ελισαιε δεῦρο εἰπὸν αὐτῷ ζωῇ ζήσῃ καὶ ἔδειξέν μοι κύριος ὅτι θανάτῳ ἀποθανῇ	[10]And Elisha said to him, Go, and say unto him, Thou shalt recover: howbeit the Lord hath showed me, that he shall surely die.
[11]καὶ παρέστη τῷ προσώπῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔθηκεν ἕως αἰσχύνης καὶ ἔκλαυσεν ὁ ἄνθρωπος τοῦ θεοῦ	[11]And he looked upon him steadfastly, till Hazael was ashamed, and the man of God wept.
[12]καὶ εἶπεν αζαηλ τί ὅτι ὁ κύριός μου κλαίει καὶ εἶπεν ὅτι οἶδα ὅσα ποιήσεις τοῖς υἱοῖς ισραηλ κακά τὰ ὀχυρώματα αὐτῶν ἐξαποστελεῖς ἐν πυρὶ καὶ τοὺς ἐκλεκτοὺς αὐτῶν ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ ἀποκτενεῖς καὶ τὰ νήπια αὐτῶν ἐνσείσεις καὶ τὰς ἐν γαστρὶ ἐχούσας αὐτῶν ἀναρρήξεις	[12]And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou shalt do unto the children of Israel: for their strong cities shalt thou set on fire, and their young men shalt thou slay with the sword, and shalt dash their infants against the stones, and rent in pieces their women with child.
[13]καὶ εἶπεν αζαηλ τίς ἐστιν ὁ δοῦλός σου ὁ κύων ὁ τεθνηκώς ὅτι ποιήσει τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο καὶ εἶπεν ελισαιε ἔδειξέν μοι κύριός σε βασιλεύοντα ἐπὶ συρίαν	[13]Then Hazael said, What? Is thy servant a dog, that I should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The Lord hath showed me, that thou shalt be king of Aram [Syria].
[14]καὶ ἀπῆλθεν ἀπὸ ελισαιε καὶ εἰσῆλθεν πρὸς τὸν κύριον αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ τί εἶπέν σοι ελισαιε καὶ εἶπεν εἶπέν μοι ζωῇ ζήσῃ	[14]So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master, who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest recover.
[15]καὶ ἐγένετο τῇ ἐπαύριον καὶ ἔλαβεν τὸ μαχμα καὶ ἔβαψεν ἐν τῷ ὕδατι καὶ περιέβαλεν ἐπὶ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀπέθανεν καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν αζαηλ ἀντ αὐτοῦ	[15]And on the morrow he took a thick cloth and dipped in it water, and spread it on his face, and he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.
[16]ἐν ἔτει πέμπτῳ τῷ ιωραμ υἱῷ αχααβ βασιλεῖ ισραηλ ἐβασίλευσεν ιωραμ υἱὸς ιωσαφατ βασιλεὺς ιουδα	[16]Now in the fifth year of Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel, and of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.
[17]υἱὸς τριάκοντα καὶ δύο ἐτῶν ἦν ἐν τῷ βασιλεύειν αὐτὸν καὶ ὀκτὼ ἔτη ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν ιερουσαλημ	[17]He was two and thirty year old, when he began to reign: and he reigned eight year in Jerusalem.
[18]καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἐν ὁδῷ βασιλέων ισραηλ καθὼς ἐποίησεν οἶκος αχααβ ὅτι θυγάτηρ αχααβ ἦν αὐτῷ εἰς γυναῖκα καὶ ἐποίησεν τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου	[18]And he walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife, and he did evil in the sight of the Lord.
[19]καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησεν κύριος διαφθεῖραι τὸν ιουδαν διὰ δαυιδ τὸν δοῦλον αὐτοῦ καθὼς εἶπεν δοῦναι αὐτῷ λύχνον καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας	[19]Yet the Lord would not destroy Judah, for David his servant's sake, as he had promised him to give him a light, and to his children forever.
[20]ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτοῦ ἠθέτησεν εδωμ ὑποκάτωθεν χειρὸς ιουδα καὶ ἐβασίλευσαν ἐφ ἑαυτοὺς βασιλέα	[20]In those days Edom rebelled from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.
[21]καὶ ἀνέβη ιωραμ εἰς σιωρ καὶ πάντα τὰ ἅρματα μετ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐγένετο αὐτοῦ ἀναστάντος καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸν εδωμ τὸν κυκλώσαντα ἐπ αὐτὸν καὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας τῶν ἁρμάτων καὶ ἔφυγεν ὁ λαὸς εἰς τὰ σκηνώματα αὐτῶν	[21]Therefore Jehoram went to Zair, and all his chariots with him, and he arose by night, and smote the Edomites which were about him with the captains of the chariots, and the people fled into their tents.
[22]καὶ ἠθέτησεν εδωμ ὑποκάτωθεν χειρὸς ιουδα ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης τότε ἠθέτησεν λοβενα ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ	[22]So Edom rebelled from under the hand of Judah unto this day. then Libnah rebelled at that same time.
[23]καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τῶν λόγων ιωραμ καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν οὐκ ἰδοὺ ταῦτα γέγραπται ἐπὶ βιβλίῳ λόγων τῶν ἡμερῶν τοῖς βασιλεῦσιν ιουδα	[23]Concerning the rest of the acts of Jehoram and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
[24]καὶ ἐκοιμήθη ιωραμ μετὰ τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐτάφη μετὰ τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ ἐν πόλει δαυιδ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν οχοζιας υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἀντ αὐτοῦ	[24]And Jehoram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.
[25]ἐν ἔτει δωδεκάτῳ τῷ ιωραμ υἱῷ αχααβ βασιλεῖ ισραηλ ἐβασίλευσεν οχοζιας υἱὸς ιωραμ	[25]In the twelfth year of Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.
[26]υἱὸς εἴκοσι καὶ δύο ἐτῶν οχοζιας ἐν τῷ βασιλεύειν αὐτὸν καὶ ἐνιαυτὸν ἕνα ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν ιερουσαλημ καὶ ὄνομα τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ γοθολια θυγάτηρ αμβρι βασιλέως ισραηλ	[26]Two and twenty year old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem, and his mother's name was Athaliah the daughter of Omri king of Israel.
[27]καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἐν ὁδῷ οἴκου αχααβ καὶ ἐποίησεν τὸ πονηρὸν ἐνώπιον κυρίου καθὼς ὁ οἶκος αχααβ	[27]And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the Lord, like the house of Ahab: for he was the son in law of the house of Ahab.
[28]καὶ ἐπορεύθη μετὰ ιωραμ υἱοῦ αχααβ εἰς πόλεμον μετὰ αζαηλ βασιλέως ἀλλοφύλων ἐν ρεμμωθ γαλααδ καὶ ἐπάταξαν οἱ σύροι τὸν ιωραμ	[28]And he went with Jehoram the son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of Aram [Syria] in Ramoth Gilead, and the Aramites [Syrians] smote Jehoram.
[29]καὶ ἐπέστρεψεν ὁ βασιλεὺς ιωραμ τοῦ ἰατρευθῆναι ἐν ιεζραελ ἀπὸ τῶν πληγῶν ὧν ἐπάταξαν αὐτὸν ἐν ρεμμωθ ἐν τῷ πολεμεῖν αὐτὸν μετὰ αζαηλ βασιλέως συρίας καὶ οχοζιας υἱὸς ιωραμ κατέβη τοῦ ἰδεῖν τὸν ιωραμ υἱὸν αχααβ ἐν ιεζραελ ὅτι ἠρρώστει αὐτός	[29]And king Jehoram returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Aramites [Syrians] had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Aram [Syria]. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
