[1]THEN Elisha said to the woman whose son he had restored to life, Arise and go, you and your household, and sojourn wherever you can; for the LORD has called for a famine; and it shall come upon the land for seven years. |

[2]So the woman arose and did according to the word of the prophet of God; and she went with her household and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years. |
[3]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S μετάP ὁRA-ASN τέλοςN3E-ASN ὁRA-GPM ἑπτάM ἔτοςN3E-GPN καίC ἐπιστρέφωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSF γυνήN3K-NSF ἐκP γῆN1-GSF ἀλλόφυλοςA1B-GPM εἰςP ὁRA-ASF πόλιςN3I-ASF καίC ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S βοάωVA-AAN πρόςP ὁRA-ASM βασιλεύςN3V-ASM περίP ὁRA-GSM οἶκοςN2-GSM ἑαυτοῦRD-GSF καίC περίP ὁRA-GPM ἀγρόςN2-GPM ἑαυτοῦRD-GSF |
[3]And at the end of the seven years, when the woman returned from the land of the Philistines, she went forth to cry to the king for her house and for her field. |

[4]And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the prophet of God, saying, Tell me all the great things that Elisha has done. |
[5]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S αὐτόςRD-GSM ἐκἡγέομαιV2-PMPGSM ὁRA-DSM βασιλεύςN3V-DSM ὡςC ζωπυρέωVAI-AAI3S υἱόςN2-ASM θνήσκωVX-XAPASM καίC ἰδούI ὁRA-NSF γυνήN3K-NSF ὅςRR-GSF ζωπυρέωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASM υἱόςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSF *ελισαιεN--NSM βοάωV3-PAPNSF πρόςP ὁRA-ASM βασιλεύςN3V-ASM περίP ὁRA-GSM οἶκοςN2-GSM ἑαυτοῦRD-GSF καίC περίP ὁRA-GPM ἀγρόςN2-GPM ἑαυτοῦRD-GSF καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *γιεζιN--NSM κύριοςN2-VSM βασιλεύςN3V-VSM οὗτοςRD-NSF ὁRA-NSF γυνήN3K-NSF καίC οὗτοςRD-NSM ὁRA-NSM υἱόςN2-NSM αὐτόςRD-GSF ὅςRR-ASM ζωπυρέωVAI-AAI3S *ελισαιεN--NSM |
[5]And while he was telling the king how Elisha had restored a dead body to life, behold, the woman whose son he had restored to life cried to the king for her house and for her field. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life. |
[6]καίC ἐπιἐρωτάωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM ὁRA-ASF γυνήN3K-ASF καίC διαἡγέομαιVAI-AMI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM καίC δίδωμιVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSF ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM εὐνοῦχοςN2-ASM εἷςA3-ASM λέγωV1-PAPNSM ἐπιστρέφωVA-AAD2S πᾶςA3-APN ὁRA-APN αὐτόςRD-GSF καίC πᾶςA3-APN ὁRA-APN γένημαN3M-APN ὁRA-GSM ἀγρόςN2-GSM αὐτόςRD-GSF ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF ἡμέραN1A-GSF ὅςRR-GSF καταλείπωVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF ἕωςP ὁRA-GSM νῦνD |
[6]And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed to her a certain officer and said to him, Restore all that was hers and all the produce of her field from the day that she left the land even until now |
[7]καίC ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S *ελισαιεN--NSM εἰςP *δαμασκόςN2-ASF καίC υἱόςN2-NSM *αδερN--GSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM *συρίαN1A-GSF ἀρρωστέωV2I-IAI3S καίC ἀναἀγγέλλωVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-DSM λέγωV1-PAPNPM ἥκωV1-PAI3S ὁRA-NSM ἄνθρωποςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM ἕωςP ὧδεD |
[7]And Elisha came to Damascus; and Bar-hadad the king of Aram was sick; and it was told him, saying, The prophet of God has come here. |
[8]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM πρόςP *αζαηλN--ASM λαμβάνωVB-AAD2S ἐνP ὁRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF σύRP-GS μανααN--ASN καίC δεῦροD εἰςP ἀπαντήN1-ASF ὁRA-DSM ἄνθρωποςN2-DSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM καίC ἐπιζητέωVA-AAD2S ὁRA-ASM κύριοςN2-ASM παράP αὐτόςRD-GSM λέγωV1-PAPNSM εἰC ζάωVF-FMI1S ἐκP ὁRA-GSF ἀρρωστίαN1A-GSF ἐγώRP-GS οὗτοςRD-GSF |
[8]And the king said to Hazael, Take a present with you and go to meet the prophet of God, and inquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease? |
[9]καίC πορεύομαιVCI-API3S *αζαηλN--NSM εἰςP ἀπαντήN1-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S μανααN--ASN ἐνP ὁRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC πᾶςA3-APN ὁRA-APN ἀγαθόςA1-APN *δαμασκόςN2-GSF ἄρσιςN3I-ASF τεσσαράκονταM κάμηλοςN2-GPM καίC ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S καίC ἵστημιVHI-AAI3S ἐνώπιονP αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πρόςP *ελισαιεN--ASM ὁRD-NSM υἱόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS υἱόςN2-NSM *αδερN--GSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM *συρίαN1A-GSF ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-AS πρόςP σύRP-AS λέγωV1-PAPNSM εἰC ζάωVF-FMI1S ἐκP ὁRA-GSF ἀρρωστίαN1A-GSF ἐγώRP-GS οὗτοςRD-GSF |
[9]So Hazael went to meet him and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him and said to him, Your son Bar-hadad king of Aram has sent me to you, saying, Shall I recover of this disease? |
[10]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *ελισαιεN--NSM δεῦροD εἶπονVBI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-DSM ζωήN1-DSF ζάωVF-FMI2S καίC δεικνύωVAI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-DS κύριοςN2-NSM ὅτιC θάνατοςN2-DSM ἀποθνήσκωVB-AMS2S |
[10]And Elisha said to him, Go, say to him, You shall surely recover; but the LORD has shown me that he shall surely die. |
[11]καίC παραἵστημιVHI-AAI3S ὁRA-DSN πρόσωπονN2N-DSN αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC τίθημιVAI-AAI3S ἕωςP αἰσχύνηN1-GSF καίC κλαίωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM ἄνθρωποςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM |
[11]Then the prophet of God wept. |
[12]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *αζαηλN--NSM τίςRI-ASN ὅτιC ὁRA-NSM κύριοςN2-NSM ἐγώRP-GS κλαίωV1-PAI3S καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ὅτιC οἶδαVX-XAI1S ὅσοςA1-APN ποιέωVF-FAI2S ὁRA-DPM υἱόςN2-DPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM κακόςA1-APN ὁRA-APN ὀχύρωμαN3M-APN αὐτόςRD-GPM ἐκ ἀποστέλλωVF2-FAI2S ἐνP πῦρN3-DSN καίC ὁRA-APM ἐκλεκτόςA1-APM αὐτόςRD-GPM ἐνP ῥομφαίαN1A-DSF ἀποκτείνωVF2-FAI2S καίC ὁRA-APN νήπιοςA1A-APN αὐτόςRD-GPM ἐνσείωVF-FAI2S καίC ὁRA-APF ἐνP γαστήρN3-DSF ἔχωV1-PAPAPF αὐτόςRD-GPM ἀναῥήγνυμιVF-FAI2S |
[12]And Hazael said, Why does my lord weep? And Elisha said to him, Because I know the evil that you will do to the children of Israel: their strongholds you will set on fire, their young men you will slay with the sword, and you will dash their children against the ground and rip up their women with child. |
[13]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *αζαηλN--NSM τίςRI-NSM εἰμίV9-PAI3S ὁRA-NSM δοῦλοςN2-NSM σύRP-GS ὁRA-NSM κύωνN3-NSM ὁRA-NSM θνήσκωVX-XAPNSM ὅτιC ποιέωVF-FAI3S ὁRA-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN οὗτοςRD-ASN καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *ελισαιεN--NSM δεικνύωVAI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-DS κύριοςN2-NSM σύRP-AS βασιλεύωV1-PAPASM ἐπίP *συρίαN1A-ASF |
[13]And Hazael said, But what, is your servant a dog, that he should do this terrible thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD has shown me that you shall be king over Aram. |
[14]καίC ἀποἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S ἀπόP *ελισαιεN--GSM καίC εἰςἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S πρόςP ὁRA-ASM κύριοςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM τίςRI-ASN εἶπονVBI-AAI3S σύRP-DS *ελισαιεN--NSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-DS ζωήN1-DSF ζάωVF-FMI2S |
[14]So Hazael departed from Elisha and came to his master; and his master said to him, What did Elisha say to you? And he answered, Thus he said to me: You shall surely recover. |
[15]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S ὁRA-DSF ἐπαύριονD καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASN μαχμαN--ASN καίC βάπτωVAI-AAI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSN ὕδωρN3T-DSN καίC περιβάλλωVBI-AAI3S ἐπίP ὁRA-ASN πρόσωπονN2N-ASN αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ἀποθνήσκωVBI-AAI3S καίC βασιλεύωVAI-AAI3S *αζαηλN--NSM ἀντίP αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[15]And on the morrow, Hazael took a thick cloth and dipped it in water and spread it on the king's face, so that he died; and Hazael reigned in his stead |

[16]And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel. Joram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, began to reign. |
[17]υἱόςN2-NSM τριάκονταM καίC δύοM ἔτοςN3E-GPN εἰμίV9-IAI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSN βασιλεύωV1-PAN αὐτόςRD-ASM καίC ὀκτώM ἔτοςN3E-APN βασιλεύωVAI-AAI3S ἐνP *ἰερουσαλήμN--DSF |
[17]He was thirty-two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. |
[18]καίC πορεύομαιVCI-API3S ἐνP ὁδόςN2-DSF βασιλεύςN3V-GPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM καθώςD ποιέωVAI-AAI3S οἶκοςN2-NSM *αχααβN--GSM ὅτιC θυγάτηρN3-NSF *αχααβN--GSM εἰμίV9-IAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM εἰςP γυνήN3K-ASF καίC ποιέωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASN πονηρόςA1A-ASN ἐνώπιονP κύριοςN2-GSM |
[18]And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab; for the sister of Ahab was his wife; and he did evil in the sight of the LORD. |
[19]καίC οὐD θέλωVAI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM διαφθείρωVA-AAN ὁRA-ASM *ἰούδαςN1T-ASM διάP *δαυίδN--ASM ὁRA-ASM δοῦλοςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM καθώςD εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δίδωμιVO-AAN αὐτόςRD-DSM λύχνοςN2-ASM καίC ὁRA-DPM υἱόςN2-DPM αὐτόςRD-GSM πᾶςA1S-APF ὁRA-APF ἡμέραN1A-APF |
[19]Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised to him that he would give an heir to his children all the days. |
[20]ἐνP ὁRA-DPF ἡμέραN1A-DPF αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀθετέωVAI-AAI3S *εδωμN--NSM ὑποκάτωθενD χείρN3-GSF *ιουδαN--GSM καίC βασιλεύωVAI-AAI3P ἐπίP ἑαυτοῦRD-APM βασιλεύςN3V-ASM |
[20]In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah and set up a king over themselves. |
[21]καίC ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI3S *ιωραμN--NSM εἰςP *σιωρN--AS καίC πᾶςA3-APN ὁRA-APN ἅρμαN3M-APN μετάP αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀναἵστημιVH-AAPGSM καίC πατάσσωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASM *εδωμN--ASM ὁRA-ASM κυκλόωVA-AAPASM ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-ASM καίC ὁRA-APM ἄρχωνN3-APM ὁRA-GPN ἅρμαN3M-GPN καίC φεύγωVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM εἰςP ὁRA-APN σκήνωμαN3M-APN αὐτόςRD-GPM |
[21]So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him; and he rose by night to smite the Edomites who had surrounded him and his commanders with chariots; but the people fled to their tents. |
[22]καίC ἀθετέωVAI-AAI3S *εδωμN--NSM ὑποκάτωθενD χείρN3-GSF *ιουδαN--GSM ἕωςP ὁRA-GSF ἡμέραN1A-GSF οὗτοςRD-GSF τότεD ἀθετέωVAI-AAI3S *λοβεναN1A-NSF ἐνP ὁRA-DSM καιρόςN2-DSM ἐκεῖνοςRD-DSM |
[22]So Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah even to this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time. |
[23]καίC ὁRA-APN λοιπόςA1-APN ὁRA-GPM λόγοςN2-GPM *ιωραμN--GSM καίC πᾶςA3-APN ὅσοςA1-APN ποιέωVAI-AAI3S οὐD ἰδούI οὗτοςRD-APN γράφωVP-XMI3S ἐπίP βιβλίονN2N-DSN λόγοςN2-GPM ὁRA-GPF ἡμέραN1A-GPF ὁRA-DPM βασιλεύςN3V-DPM *ιουδαN--GSM |
[23]And the rest of the acts of Joram and all that he did, behold, they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah. |

[24]And Joram slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead |

[25]In the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Ahaziah the son of Joram king of Judah began to reign. |

[26]Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel. |

[27]And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, as did the house of Ahab; for he was the son-in-law of the house of Ahab. |
[28]καίC πορεύομαιVCI-API3S μετάP *ιωραμN--GSM υἱόςN2-GSM *αχααβN--GSM εἰςP πόλεμοςN2-ASM μετάP *αζαηλN--GSM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM ἀλλόφυλοςA1B-GPM ἐνP *ρεμμωθN--DSF *γαλαάδN--DSF καίC πατάσσωVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM *σύροςN2-NPM ὁRA-ASM *ιωραμN--ASM |
[28]And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to war against Hazael the king of Aram at Ramath-gilead; and the Arameans wounded Joram. |

[29]And Joram the son of Ahab went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Arameans had inflicted on him at Ramath, when he fought against Hazael king of Aram. And Ahaziah the son of Joram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick |
