| [1]ܘܫܲܕܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܠܢܵܬ̣ܵܢ ܢܒ̣ܝܼܵܐ ܠܘܵܬ̣ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂. ܘܐܸܬ̣ܵܐ ܠܘܵܬܹܗ: ܘܐܸܡܲܪ ܠܹܗ: ܬܪܹܝܢ ܐ̄ܢܵܫ̈ܝܼܢ ܐܝܼܬ̣ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܘ ܒܲܩܪܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܚܕ݂ܵܐ: ܚܲܕ݂ ܥܲܬ̇ܝܼܪ ܘܚܲܕ݂ ܡܸܣܟܹ̇ܝܢ. |
[1]Then the Lord sent Nathan unto David, who came to him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city, the one rich, and the other poor. |
| [2]ܠܥܲܬ̇ܝܼܪܵܐ ܐܝܼܬ̣ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܐ ܠܹܗ ܥܵـ̈ܢܵܐ: ܘܬ̣ܵܘܪܹ̈ܐ: ܣܘܿܓ̣ܐܵܐ ܕܛܵܒ̣. |
[2]The rich man had exceeding many sheep and oxen: |
| [3]ܘܲܠܡܸܣܟܹ̇ܢܵܐ ܠܲܝܬ̇ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܐ ܠܹܗ ܡܸܕܸܡ: ܐܸܠܵܐ ܐܸܢ ܦܲܪܬ̣ܵܐ ܚܕ݂ܵܐ ܙܥܘܿܪܬܵܐ ܕܲܩܢܸܐ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܐ: ܘܚܵܝܵܐ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܬ̣ ܥܲܡܹܗ ܘܥܲܡ ܒܢܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܐܲܟ݂ܚ̄ܕ݂ܵܐ. ܡ̣ܢ ܠܲܚܡܹܗ ܐܵܟ݂ܠܵܐ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܬ̣: ܘܡ̣ܢ ܟܵܣܹܗ ܫܵܬ̣ܝܵܐ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܬ̣: ܘܲܒ̣ܥܘܼܒܹ̇ܗ ܕܵܡܟܵܐ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܬ̣: ܘܐܲܝܟ݂ ܒܪܬ̣ܵܐ ܥܒ̣ܝܼܕ݂ܵܐ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܬ̣ ܠܹܗ. |
[3]But the poor had none at all, save one little sheep which he had bought, and nourished up: and it grew up with him, and with his children also, and did eat of his own morsels, and drank of his own cup, and slept in his bosom, and was unto him as his daughter. |
| [4]ܘܐܸܬ̣ܵܐ ܐܵܪܚܵܐ ܠܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܥܲܬ̇ܝܼܪܵܐ: ܘܚܵܣ ܕܢܸܣܲܒ̣ ܡ̣ܢ ܬܵܘܪܗܵܘܗܝ ܘܡ̣ܢ ܥܵܢܹ̈ܗ: ܘܢܸܥܒܸ̇ܕ݂ ܠܐܵܪܚܵܐ ܕܐܸܬ̣ܵܐ ܠܹܗ. ܢܣܲܒ̣ ܦܲܪܬܹܗ ܕܗܵܘ̇ ܡܸܣܟܹܢܵܐ ܥܒܲܕ݂ ܠܐܵܪܚܵܐ ܕܐܸܬ̣ܵܐ ܠܹܗ. |
[4]Now there came a stranger unto the rich man, who refused to take of his own sheep, and of his own oxen to dress for the stranger that was come unto him, but took the poor man's sheep, and dressed it for the man that was come to him. |
| [5]ܗܵܝܕܹܝܢ ܐܸܬ̣ܚܲܡܲܬ̣ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܥܠܵܘܗܝ ܥܲܠ ܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ: ܘܐܸܡܲܪ: ܚܲܝ ܗ̄ܘ̣ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܕܚܲܝܵܒ̣ ܡܵܘܬܵܐ ܗ̄ܘ̣ ܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܕܲܥܒܲܕ݂ ܗܵܕܹܐ. |
[5]Then David was exceeding wroth with the man, and said to Nathan, As the Lord liveth, the man that hath done this thing, shall surely die, |
| [6]ܘܦܲܪܬ̣ܵܐ ܢܸܦܪ̱ܥܝܼܗ̇ ܚܕ݂ܵܐ ܒܐܲܪܒܲܥ: ܥܲܠ ܕܲܥܒܲܕ݂ ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܘܠܵܐ ܚܵܣ. |
[6]And he shall restore the lamb four fold, because he did this thing, and had no pity thereof. |
| [7]ܐܵܡܲܪ ܠܹܗ ܢܵܬ̣ܵܢ ܠܕ݂ܵܘܝܼܕ݂: ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܗ̄ܘ̣ ܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ: ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܕܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ: ܐܸܢܵܐ ܡܫܲܚܬܵܟ݂ ܕܬܲܡܠܸܟ݂ ܥܲܠ ܥܲܡܝ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ: ܘܐܸܢܵܐ ܦܲܨܝܼܬܵܟ݂ ܡ̣ܢ ܐܝܼܕ݂ܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܫܵܐܘܿܠ. |
[7]Then Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and delivered thee out of the hand of Saul, |
| [8]ܘܝܼܗ̄ܒܹ̇ܬ̣ ܠܵܟ݂ ܒ̈ܢܵܬ̣ ܡܵܪ̈ܲܝܟ. ܘܢܸܫܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܡܵܪܵܟ݂ ܐܲܕ݂ܡ̱ܟ݂̇ܬ̣ ܒܥܘܼܒܵܟ݂. ܘܝܼܗ̄ܒܹ̇ܬ̣ ܠܵܟ݂ ܒ̈ܢܵܬ̣ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ ܘܲܝܗܘܼܕ݂ܵܐ. ܘܐܸܢ ܙܥܘܿܪ̈ܝܵܢ ܗ̄ܘܲܝ̈: ܐܸܡܲܪܬ̇ ܕܹܝܢ: ܘܐܵܘܣܦܹܬ̣ ܠܵܟ݂ ܐܲܟ݂ܘܵܬ̣ܗܹܝܢ ܘܐܲܟ݂ܘܵܬ̣ܗܹܝܢ. |
[8]And gave thee thy lord's house, and thy lord's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel, and of Judah, and would moreover ( if that had been too little) have given thee such and such things. |
| [9]ܠܡܵܢܵܐ ܫܵܛܬ̇ ܦܘܼܩܕܵܢܹܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ: ܘܲܥܒܲܕܲܬ̇ ܕܒ̣ܝܼܫ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ. ܠܐܘܿܪܝܼܵܐ ܚܹܬ̣ܵܝܵܐ ܩܛܲܠܬ̇ ܒܚܲܪܒܵܐ: ܘܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ܬܹܗ ܢܣܲܒ̣ܬ ܠܵܟ݂ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ܬ̣ܐ: ܘܠܹܗ ܩܛܲܠܬ̇ ܒܚܲܪܒܵܐ ܕܲܒ̣̈ܢܲܝ ܥܲܡܘܿܢ. |
[9]Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight? Thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon. |
| [10]ܡܸܟܹ̇ܠ ܠܵܐ ܬܸܥܢܲܕ݂ ܚܲܪܒܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܲܝܬܵܟ݂ ܥܕܲܡܵܐ ܠܥܵܠܲܡ: ܥܲܠ ܕܫܵܛܬܢܝ ܘܲܢܣܲܒ̣ܬ̇ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ܬܹܗ ܕܐܘܿܪܝܼܵܐ ܚܹܬ̣ܵܝܵܐ ܕܬܸܗܘܸܐ ܠܵܟ݂ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ. |
[10]Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house, because thou hast despised me, and taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. |
| [11]ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ: ܗܵܐ ܡܩܝܼܡ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܥܠܲܝܟ ܒܝܼܫܬܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܲܝܬܵܟ݂: ܘܐܸܕ݂ܒܲܪ ܢܸܫܲܝ̈ܟ ܠܥܹܢܲܝܟ ܘܐܸܬܸܠ ܠܚܲܒ̣ܪܵܟ݂: ܘܢܸܕ݂ܡܲܟ݂ ܥܲܡܗܹܝܢ ܠܥܹܝܢ ܫܸܡܫܵܐ ܗܵܢܵܐ. |
[11]Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun. |
| [12]ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܥܒܲܕܬ̇ ܡܲܛܫܝܵܐܝܼܬ̣: ܘܐܸܢܵܐ ܐܸܥܒ̇ܕ݂ܝܼܗ̇ ܠܗܵܕܹܐ ܠܥܹܝܢ ܟܠܹܗ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ ܘܠܘܼܩܒܲܠ ܫܸܡܫܵܐ. |
[12]For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun. |
| [13]ܘܐܸܡܲܪ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܠܢܵܬ̣ܵܢ ܚܛܹܝܬ̣ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ. ܘܐܲܪ ܠܹܗ ܢܵܬ̣ܵܢ ܠܕ݂ܵܘܝܼܕ݂: ܐܵܦ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܐܲܥܒܲܪ ܣܲܟ݂ܠܘܼܬ̣ܵܟ݂: ܠܵܐ ܬܡܘܼܬ̣. |
[13]Then David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan said unto David, The Lord also hath put away thy sin, thou shalt not die. |
| [14]ܒܪܲܡ ܕܹܝܢ ܥܲܠ ܕܪܵܪܸܒ̣ܬ̇ ܠܲܒ̣ܥܸܠܕܒ̣ܵܒ̣ܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܒܲܥܒ̣ܝܼܕܬܵܐ ܗܵܕܹܐ: ܐܵܦ ܒܪܵܐ ܕܡܸܬ̱ܝܼܠܸܕ݂ ܠܵܟ݂: ܡܡܵܬ̣ ܢܡܘܼܬ̣. |
[14]Howbeit because by this deed thou hast caused the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child that is born unto thee shall surely die. |
| [15]ܘܐܸܙܲܠ ܢܵܬ̣ܵܢ ܠܒܲܝܬܹ̇ܗ. ܘܲܡܚܵܝܗܝ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܠܛܲܠܝܵܐ ܕܝܸܠܕܲܬ̤ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ـܹܗ ܕܐܘܿܪܝܼܵܐ ܠܕ݂ܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܘܲܚܣܲܢ. |
[15]So Nathan departed unto his house: and the Lord stroke the child that Uriah's wife bear unto David, and it was sick. |
| [16]ܘܲܒ̣ܥܵܐ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܡ̣ܢ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܐܲܦܲܝ̈ ܛܲܠܝܵܐ. ܘܨܵܡ ܕܵܘܝܕ݂ ܨܵܘܡܵܐ: ܘܒ̣ܵܬ̣ ܒܹܗ: ܘܲܕ݂ܡܸܟ݂ ܥܲܠ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ. |
[16]David therefore besought God for the child, and fasted and went in, and lay all night upon the earth. |
| [17]ܘܩܵܡܘ ܣܵܒܹ̈ܐ ܕܒܲܝܬܹ̇ܗ ܕܲܢܩܝܼܡܘܼܢܹܗ ܡ̣ܢ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ: ܘܠܵܐ ܨܒ̣ܵܐ: ܘܠܵܐ ܠܥܸܣ ܥܲܡܘܿܢ ܠܲܚܡܵܐ. |
[17]Then the elders of his house arose to come unto him, and to cause him to rise from the ground: but he would not, neither did he eat meat with them. |
| [18]ܘܲܠܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܕܫܒ̣ܥܵܐ ܡܝܼܬ̣ ܠܹܗ ܛܲܠܝܵܐ. ܘܲܕ݂ܚܸܠܘ ܥܲܒ̣ܕܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܕ݂ܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܕܲܢܚܵܘܘܿܢܵܝܗܝ ܕܡܝܼܬ̣ ܠܹܗ ܛܲܠܝܵܐ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܐܵܡܪܝܼܢ: ܟܲܕ݂ ܚܲܝ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܐ ܛܲܠܝܵܐ ܐܵܡܪܝܼܢ ܗ̄ܘܲܝܢ ܠܹܗ: ܘܠܵܐ ܫܵܡܲܥ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܐ ܠܲܢ: ܐܲܝܟܲܢܵܐ ܬܹܐܡܲܪ ܠܹܗ: ܗܵܫܵܐ ܕܡܝܼܬ̣ ܠܹܗ ܛܲܠܝܵܐ: ܥܵܒܹܕ݂ ܒܝܼܫܬܵܐ. |
[18]So on the seventh day the child died: and the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how then shall we say unto him, The child is dead, to vex him more? |
| [19]ܘܟܲܕ݂ ܚܙܵܐ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܠܥܲܒ̣ܕܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܲܡܠܲܚܫܝܼܢ: ܐܸܬ̣ܒܲܝܲܢ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܕܡܝܼܬ̣ ܠܹܗ ܛܲܠܝܵܐ: ܘܐܸܡܲܪ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܠܥܲܒ̣ܕܵܘ̈ܗܝ: ܡܝܼܬ̣ ܠܹܗ ܛܲܠܝܵܐ: ܐܵܡܪܝܼܢ ܠܹܗ ܡܝܼܬ̣. |
[19]But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead. |
| [20]ܘܩܵܡ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܡ̣ܢ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ: ܘܐܲܫܝܼܓ̣ ܘܲܡܫܲܚ ܘܚܲܠܸܦ ܡܵܐܢܵܘ̈ܗܝ. ܘܥܲܠ ܠܒܲܝܬܹ̇ܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܘܲܣܓܸܕ݂: ܘܐܸܬ̣ܵܐ ܠܒܲܝܬܹܗ ܘܲܫܐܸܠ ܠܲܚܡܵܐ: ܘܣܵܡܘ ܠܹܗ ܘܲܠܥܸܣ. |
[20]Then David arose from the earth, and washed and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the Lord, and worshiped, and afterward came to his own house, and bade that they should set bread before him, and he did eat. |
| [21]ܐܵܡܪܝܼܢ ܠܹܗ ܥܲܒ̣ܕܵܘ̈ܗܝ: ܡܵܢܵܐ ܗ̄ܘ̣ ܗܵܢܵܐ ܕܲܥܒܲܕܬ̇. ܟܲܕ݂ ܚܲܝ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܐ ܛܲܠܝܵܐ: ܨܵܐܹܡ ܗ̄ܘܲܝܬ̇ ܘܒ̣ܵܥܹܐ. ܘܟܲܕ݂ ܡܝܼܬ̣: ܩܵܡܬ̇ ܠܥܸܣܬ̇ ܠܲܚܡܵܐ. |
[21]Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this, that thou hast done? Thou didst fast and weep for the child while it was alive, but when the child was dead, thou didst rise up, and eat meat. |
| [22]ܐܵܡܲܪ ܠܗܘܿܢ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂: ܟܲܕ݂ ܛܲܠܝܵܐ ܚܲܝ: ܨܵܐܹܡ ܗ̄ܘܹܝܬ̣ ܘܒ̣ܵܥܹܐ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܐܵܡܲܪ ܗ̄ܘܹܝܬ̣: ܡܲܢܘܼ ܝܵܕܲܥ ܡܪܲܚܸܡ ܥܠܵܘܗܝ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ: ܘܚܵܝܹܐ ܛܲܠܝܵܐ. |
[22]And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted, and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will have mercy on me, that the child may live? |
| [23]ܡܸܟܹ̇ܠ ܕܡܝܼܬ̣ ܠܹܗ: ܠܡܵܢܵܐ ܨܵܐܹܡ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ: ܠܡܵܐ ܡܸܫܟ̇ܚܵܐ ܕܬ̣ܘܼܒ̣ ܢܸܗܦܘܿܟ݂. ܐܸܢܵܐ ܐܵܙܸܠ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܠܘܵܬܹܗ: ܘܗ̤ܘ ܠܵܐ ܡܸܫܟܲܚ ܕܢܹܐܬܸܐ ܠܘܵܬ̣ܝ. |
[23]But now being dead, wherefore should I now fast? Can I bring him again any more? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me. |
| [24]ܘܒܲܝܲܐ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܠܒܲܬ̣ܫܒܲܥ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ܬܹܗ ܘܥܲܠ ܠܘܵܬ̣ܵܗ̇ ܘܲܕ݂ܡܸܟ݂ ܥܲܡܵܗ̇: ܘܝܼܠܕܲܬ̤ ܒܪܵܐ: ܘܲܩܪܵܬ̤ ܫܡܹܗ ܫܠܹܝܡܘܿܢ. ܘܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܪܲܚܡܹܗ ܠܛܲܠܝܵܐ. |
[24]And David comforted Bath-sheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her, and she bear a son, and he called his name Solomon: also the Lord loved him. |
| [25]ܟܗܘܫܲܕܲܪ ܠܢܵܬ̣ܵܢ ܢܒ̣ܝܼܵܐ: ܘܲܩܪܵܐ ܫܡܹܗ ܝܲܕܲܝܼܕ݂ܵܐ: ܡܸܛܠ ܝܲܕܝܼܕܹܗ. |
[25]For the Lord had sent by Nathan the prophet: therefore he called his name Jedidiah, because the Lord loved him. |
| [26]ܘܐܸܬ̣ܟܲܬܲܫ ܝܘܿܐܵܒ̣ ܒܪܲܒܲܬ̣ ܕܲܒ̣̈ܢܲܝ ܥܡܘܿܢ: ܘܐܸܚܲܕ݂ ܩܪܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܡܲܠܟ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ. |
[26]Then Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the city of the kingdom. |
| [27]ܘܫܲܕܲܪ ܝܘܿܐܵܒ̣ ܐܝܼܙ̈ܓܕܹܐ ܠܘܵܬ̣ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܘܐܸܡܲܪ: ܐܸܬ̣ܟܲܬ̇ܫܹܬ̣ ܒܪܲܒܲܬ̣: ܘܐܵܦ ܐܸܚܕܹܬ̣ ܠܲܩܪܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܡܲܠܟ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ. |
[27]Therefore Joab sent messengers to David, saying, I have fought against Rabbah, and have taken the city of waters. |
| [28]ܗܵܫܵܐ ܟܲܢܸܫ ܠܫܲܪܟܵܐ ܕܥܲܡܵܐ: ܘܬ̣ܵܐ ܫܪܝܼ ܥܲܠ ܩܪܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܘܐܲܚܘܿܕܹܝܗ̇. ܕܲܠܡܵܐ ܐܸܚܕܲܝܼܗ̇ ܐܸܢܵܐ ܠܲܩܪܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܢܸܬ̣ܩܸܐ ܫܡܝ ܥܠܹܝܗ̇. |
[28]Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and besiege the city, that thou mayest take it, lest the victory be attributed to me. |
| [29]ܘܟܲܢܸܫ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܠܟ݂ܠܹܗ ܥܲܡܵܐ ܘܐܸܙܲܠ ܥܲܠ ܪܲܒܲܬ̣: ܘܐܸܬ̣ܟܲܬܲܫ ܒܵܗ̇ ܘܐܲܚܕܵܗ̇. |
[29]So David gathered all the people together, and went against Rabbah, and besieged it, and took it. |
| [30]ܘܲܢܣܲܒ̣ ܟܠܝܼܠܵܐ ܕܡܲܠܟ̇ܗܘܿܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܪܹܫܹܗ: ܕܬ̣ܵܩܹܠ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܐ ܟܲܟ̇ܪܵܐ ܕܕܲܗܒ̣ܵܐ: ܘܐܝܼܬ̣ ܗ̄ܘܲܝ̈ ܒܹܗ ܟܹܐܦܹ̈ܐ ܛܵܒ̣ـ̈ܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܐܸܬ̇ܬ̇ܣܝܼܡ ܒܪܹܫܹܗ ܕܕ݂ܵܘܝܼܕ݂. ܘܒܸܙܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܲܩܪܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܐܲܦܸܩ ܣܘܿܓ̣ܵܐܐ ܕܛܵܒ̣. |
[30]And he took their king's crown from his head, (which weighed a talent of gold, with precious stones) and it was set on David's head: and he brought away the spoil of the city in exceeding great abundance. |
| [31]ܘܲܠܥܲܡܵܐ ܕܐܝܼܬ̣ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܐ ܒܵܗ̇ ܐܲܦܸܩ: ܘܐܲܪܡܝܼ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܒܩܘܼܠܵܪܹ̈ܐ ܕܦܲܪܙܠܑܵ ܘܲܒ̣ܫܸܫ̈ܠܵܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܐܲܥܒܲܪ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܒܲܡܫܘܼܚܬ̣ܵܐ. ܘܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܥܒܲܕ݂ ܠܟ݂ܠܗܹܝܢ ܩܘܼܪ̈ܝܵܐ ܕܲܒ̣̈ܢܲܝ ܥܲܡܘܿܢ. ܘܲܗܦܲܟ݂ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܘܟ݂ܠܹܗ ܥܲܡܵܐ ܠܐܘܿܪܸܫܠܸܡ. |
[31]And he carried away the people that was therein, and put them under saws, and under iron harrows, and under axes of iron, and cast them into the tile kiln: even thus did he with all the cities of the children of Ammon. Then David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem. |
