[1]`Observe the month of Abib -- and thou hast made a passover to Jehovah thy God, for in the month of Abib hath Jehovah thy God brought thee out of Egypt by night; [1]Thou shalt keep the month of Abib, and thou shalt celebrate the Passover unto the Lord thy God: for in the month of Abib the Lord thy God brought thee out of Egypt by night.
[2]and thou hast sacrificed a passover to Jehovah thy God, of the flock, and of the herd, in the place which Jehovah doth choose to cause His name to tabernacle there. [2]Thou shalt therefore offer the Passover unto the Lord thy God, of sheep and bullocks in the place where the Lord shall choose to cause his name to dwell.
[3]`Thou dost not eat with it any fermented thing, seven days thou dost eat with it unleavened things, bread of affliction; for in haste thou hast come out of the land of Egypt; so that thou dost remember the day of thy coming out of the land of Egypt all days of thy life; [3]Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it: but seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of tribulation: for thou camest out of the land of Egypt in haste, that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest out of the land of Egypt, all the days of thy life.
[4]and there is not seen with thee leaven in all thy border seven days, and there doth not remain of the flesh which thou dost sacrifice at evening on the first day till morning. [4]And there shall be no leaven seen with thee in all thy coasts seven days long: neither shall there remain the night any of the flesh until the morning which thou offerest the first day at even.
[5]`Thou art not able to sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee, [5]Thou mayest not offer the Passover within any of thy gates, which the Lord thy God giveth thee:
[6]except at the place which Jehovah thy God doth choose to cause His name to tabernacle -- there thou dost sacrifice the passover in the evening, at the going in of the sun, the season of thy coming out of Egypt; [6]But in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name, there thou shalt offer the Passover at even, about the going down of the sun, in the season that thou camest out of Egypt.
[7]and thou hast cooked and eaten in the place on which Jehovah thy God doth fix, and hast turned in the morning, and gone to thy tents; [7]And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, and shalt return on the morrow, and go unto thy tents.
[8]six days thou dost eat unleavened things, and on the seventh day [is] a restraint to Jehovah thy God; thou dost do no work. [8]Six days shalt thou eat unleavened bread, and the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work therein.
[9]`Seven weeks thou dost number to thee; from the beginning of the sickle among the standing corn thou dost begin to number seven weeks, [9]Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee, and shalt begin to number the seven weeks, when thou beginest to put the sickle to the corn:
[10]and thou hast made the feast of weeks to Jehovah thy God, a tribute of a free-will offering of thy hand, which thou dost give, as Jehovah thy God doth bless thee. [10]And thou shalt keep the feast of weeks unto the Lord thy God, even a free gift of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the Lord thy God, as the Lord thy God hath blessed thee.
[11]And thou hast rejoiced before Jehovah thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy handmaid, and the Levite who [is] within thy gates, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who [are] in thy midst, in the place which Jehovah thy God doth choose to cause His name to tabernacle there, [11]And thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God, thou and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy servant, and thy maid, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name there,
[12]and thou hast remembered that a servant thou hast been in Egypt, and hast observed and done these statutes. [12]And thou shalt remember that thou wast a servant in Egypt: therefore thou shalt observe and do these ordinances.
[13]`The feast of booths thou dost make for thee seven days, in thine in-gathering of thy threshing-floor, and of thy wine-vat; [13]Thou shalt observe the feast of the tabernacles seven days, when thou hast gathered in thy corn, and thy wine.
[14]and thou hast rejoiced in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy handmaid, and the Levite, and the sojourner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who [are] within thy gates. [14]And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy servant, and thy maid, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.
[15]Seven days thou dost feast before Jehovah thy God, in the place which Jehovah doth choose, for Jehovah thy God doth bless thee in all thine increase, and in every work of thy hands, and thou hast been only rejoicing. [15]Seven days shalt thou keep a feast unto the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord shall choose: when the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, thou shalt in any case be glad.
[16]`Three times in a year doth every one of thy males appear before Jehovah thy God in the place which He doth choose -- in the feast of unleavened things, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of booths; and they do not appear before Jehovah empty; [16]Three times in the year shall all the males appear before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose: in the feast of the unleavened bread, and in the feast of the weeks, and in the feast of the tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the Lord empty.
[17]each according to the gift of his hand, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God, which He hath given to thee. [17]Every man shall give according to the gift of his hand, and according to the blessing of the Lord thy God, which he hath given thee.
[18]`Judges and authorities thou dost make to thee within all thy gates which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee, for thy tribes; and they have judged the people -- a righteous judgment. [18]Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy cities, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.
[19]Thou dost not turn aside judgment; thou dost not discern faces, nor take a bribe, for the bribe blindeth the eyes of the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous. [19]Wrest not thou the law, nor respect any person, neither take reward: for the reward blindeth the eyes of the wise, and perverteth the word of the just.
[20]Righteousness -- righteousness thou dost pursue, so that thou livest, and hast possessed the land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee. [20]That which is just and right shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and possess the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
[21]`Thou dost not plant for thee a shrine of any trees near the altar of Jehovah thy God, which thou makest for thyself, [21]Thou shalt plant thee no grove of any trees near unto the altar of the Lord thy God, which thou shalt make thee.
[22]and thou dost not raise up to thee any standing image which Jehovah thy God is hating. [22]Thou shalt set thee up no pillar, which thing the Lord thy God hateth.
