[1]And the LORDH3068 saidH559[H8799] unto MosesH4872, GoH935[H8798] in unto PharaohH6547: for I have hardenedH3513[H8689] his heartH3820, and the heartH3820 of his servantsH5650, that I might shewH7896[H8800] these my signsH226 before himH7130: |
[1]And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him: |
[2]And that thou mayest tellH5608[H8762] in the earsH241 of thy sonH1121, and of thy son'sH1121 sonH1121, what things I have wroughtH5953[H8694] in EgyptH4714, and my signsH226 which I have doneH7760[H8804] among them; that ye may knowH3045[H8804] how that I am the LORDH3068. |
[2]And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD. |
[3]And MosesH4872 and AaronH175 came inH935[H8799] unto PharaohH6547, and saidH559[H8799] unto him, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 GodH430 of the HebrewsH5680, How longH4970 wilt thou refuseH3985[H8765] to humbleH6031[H8736] thyself beforeH6440 me? let my peopleH5971 goH7971[H8761], that they may serveH5647 meH8799. |
[3]And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me. |
[4]ElseH3588, if thou refuseH3986 to let my peopleH5971 goH7971[H8763], behold, to morrowH4279 will I bringH935[H8688] the locustsH697 into thy coastH1366: |
[4]Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast: |
[5]And they shall coverH3680[H8765] the faceH5869 of the earthH776, that one cannot be ableH3201[H8799] to seeH7200[H8800] the earthH776: and they shall eatH398[H8804] the residueH3499 of that which is escapedH6413, which remainethH7604[H8737] unto you from the hailH1259, and shall eatH398[H8804] every treeH6086 which growethH6779[H8802] for you out of the fieldH7704: |
[5]And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field: |
[6]And they shall fillH4390[H8804] thy housesH1004, and the housesH1004 of all thy servantsH5650, and the housesH1004 of all the EgyptiansH4714; which neither thy fathersH1, nor thy fathers'H1 fathersH1 have seenH7200[H8804], since the dayH3117 that they were upon the earthH127 unto this dayH3117. And he turnedH6437[H8799] himself, and went outH3318[H8799] from PharaohH6547. |
[6]And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh. |
[7]And Pharaoh'sH6547 servantsH5650 saidH559[H8799] unto him, How long shall this man be a snareH4170 unto us? let the menH582 goH7971[H8761], that they may serveH5647[H8799] the LORDH3068 their GodH430: knowestH3045[H8799] thou not yetH2962 that EgyptH4714 is destroyedH6?[H8804] |
[7]And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed? |
[8]And MosesH4872 and AaronH175 were brought againH7725[H8714] unto PharaohH6547: and he saidH559[H8799] unto them, GoH3212[H8798], serveH5647[H8798] the LORDH3068 your GodH430: but who are they that shall goH1980?[H8802] |
[8]And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go? |
[9]And MosesH4872 saidH559[H8799], We will goH3212[H8799] with our youngH5288 and with our oldH2205, with our sonsH1121 and with our daughtersH1323, with our flocksH6629 and with our herdsH1241 will we goH3212[H8799]; for we must hold a feastH2282 unto the LORDH3068. |
[9]And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD. |
[10]And he saidH559[H8799] unto them, Let the LORDH3068 be so with you, as I will let you goH7971[H8762], and your little onesH2945: lookH7200[H8798] to it; for evilH7451 is before youH6440. |
[10]And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you. |
[11]Not so: goH3212[H8798] now ye that are menH1397, and serveH5647[H8798] the LORDH3068; for that ye did desireH1245[H8764]. And they were driven outH1644[H8762] from Pharaoh'sH6547 presenceH6440. |
[11]Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence. |
[12]And the LORDH3068 saidH559[H8799] unto MosesH4872, Stretch outH5186[H8798] thine handH3027 over the landH776 of EgyptH4714 for the locustsH697, that they may come upH5927[H8799] upon the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and eatH398[H8799] every herbH6212 of the landH776, even all that the hailH1259 hath leftH7604.[H8689] |
[12]And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left. |
[13]And MosesH4872 stretched forthH5186[H8799] his rodH4294 over the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and the LORDH3068 broughtH5090[H8765] an eastH6921 windH7307 upon the landH776 all that dayH3117, and all that nightH3915; and when it was morningH1242, the eastH6921 windH7307 broughtH5375[H8804] the locustsH697. |
[13]And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts. |
[14]And the locustsH697 went upH5927[H8799] over all the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and restedH5117[H8799] in all the coastsH1366 of EgyptH4714: veryH3966 grievousH3515 were they; beforeH6440 them there were no suchH3651 locustsH697 as they, neither after them shall be suchH310. |
[14]And the locust went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such. |
[15]For they coveredH3680[H8762] the faceH5869 of the whole earthH776, so that the landH776 was darkenedH2821[H8799]; and they did eatH398[H8799] every herbH6212 of the landH776, and all the fruitH6529 of the treesH6086 which the hailH1259 had leftH3498[H8689]: and there remainedH3498[H8738] not any green thingH3418 in the treesH6086, or in the herbsH6212 of the fieldH7704, through all the landH776 of EgyptH4714. |
[15]For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt. |
[16]Then PharaohH6547 calledH7121[H8800] for MosesH4872 and AaronH175 in hasteH4116[H8762]; and he saidH559[H8799], I have sinnedH2398[H8804] against the LORDH3068 your God, and against youH430. |
[16]Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you. |
[17]Now therefore forgiveH5375[H8798], I pray thee, my sinH2403 only this onceH6471, and intreatH6279[H8685] the LORDH3068 your GodH430, that he may take awayH5493[H8686] from me this death onlyH4194. |
[17]Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death only. |
[18]And he went outH3318[H8799] from PharaohH6547, and intreatedH6279[H8799] the LORDH3068. |
[18]And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD. |
[19]And the LORDH3068 turnedH2015[H8799] a mightyH3966 strongH2389 westH3220 windH7307, which took awayH5375[H8799] the locustsH697, and castH8628[H8799] them into the RedH5488 seaH3220; there remainedH7604[H8738] not oneH259 locustH697 in all the coastsH1366 of EgyptH4714. |
[19]And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt. |
[20]But the LORDH3068 hardenedH2388[H8762] Pharaoh'sH6547 heartH3820, so that he would not let the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 goH7971.[H8765] |
[20]But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go. |
[21]And the LORDH3068 saidH559[H8799] unto MosesH4872, Stretch outH5186[H8798] thine handH3027 toward heavenH8064, that there may be darknessH2822 over the landH776 of EgyptH4714, even darknessH2822 which may be feltH4959.[H8686] |
[21]And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. |
[22]And MosesH4872 stretched forthH5186[H8799] his handH3027 toward heavenH8064; and there was a thickH653 darknessH2822 in all the landH776 of EgyptH4714 threeH7969 daysH3117: |
[22]And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days: |
[23]They sawH7200[H8804] not oneH376 anotherH251, neither roseH6965[H8804] anyH376 from his place for threeH7969 daysH3117: but all the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 had lightH216 in their dwellingsH4186. |
[23]They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings. |
[24]And PharaohH6547 calledH7121[H8799] unto MosesH4872, and saidH559[H8799], GoH3212[H8798] ye, serveH5647[H8798] the LORDH3068; only let your flocksH6629 and your herdsH1241 be stayedH3322[H8714]: let your little onesH2945 also goH3212 with youH8799. |
[24]And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you. |
[25]And MosesH4872 saidH559[H8799], Thou must giveH5414[H8799] usH3027 also sacrificesH2077 and burnt offeringsH5930, that we may sacrificeH6213[H8804] unto the LORDH3068 our GodH430. |
[25]And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God. |
[26]Our cattleH4735 also shall goH3212[H8799] with us; there shall not an hoofH6541 be left behindH7604[H8735]; for thereof must we takeH3947[H8799] to serveH5647[H8800] the LORDH3068 our GodH430; and we knowH3045[H8799] not with what we must serveH5647[H8799] the LORDH3068, until we comeH935 thitherH8800. |
[26]Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither. |
[27]But the LORDH3068 hardenedH2388[H8762] Pharaoh'sH6547 heartH3820, and he wouldH14[H8804] not let them goH7971.[H8763] |
[27]But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go. |
[28]And PharaohH6547 saidH559[H8799] unto him, GetH3212[H8798] thee from me, take heedH8104[H8734] to thyself, seeH7200[H8800] my faceH6440 no moreH3254[H8686]; for in that dayH3117 thou seestH7200[H8800] my faceH6440 thou shalt dieH4191.[H8799] |
[28]And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die. |
[29]And MosesH4872 saidH559[H8799], Thou hast spokenH1696[H8765] wellH3651, I will seeH7200[H8800] thy faceH6440 againH3254 no moreH8686. |
[29]And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more. |
