[1]Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, |
| [2]υἱόςN2-VSM ἄνθρωποςN2-GSM λαλέωVA-AAD2S ὁRA-DPM υἱόςN2-DPM ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM σύRP-GS καίC εἶπονVF2-FAI2S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-APM γῆN1-NSF ἐπίP ὅςRR-ASF ἄνX ἐπιἄγωV1-PAI1S ῥομφαίαN1A-ASF καίC λαμβάνωVB-AAS3S ὁRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ἄνθρωποςN2-ASM εἷςA3-ASM ἐκP αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC δίδωμιVO-AAS3P αὐτόςRD-ASM ἑαυτοῦRD-DPM εἰςP σκοπόςN2-ASM |
[2]Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say to them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their borders, and set him for their watchman: |
| [3]καίC ὁράωVB-AAS3S ὁRA-ASF ῥομφαίαN1A-ASF ἔρχομαιV1-PMPASF ἐπίP ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF καίC σαλπίζωVA-AAS3S ὁRA-DSF σάλπιγξN3G-DSF καίC σημαίνωVA-AAS3S ὁRA-DSM λαόςN2-DSM |
[3]If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he shall blow the trumpet, and warn the people; |
| [4]καίC ἀκούωVA-AAS3S ὁRA-NSM ἀκούωVA-AAPNSM ὁRA-ASF φωνήN1-ASF ὁRA-GSF σάλπιγξN3G-GSF καίC μήD φυλάσσωVA-AMS3S καίC ἐπιἔρχομαιVB-AAS3S ὁRA-NSF ῥομφαίαN1A-NSF καίC καταλαμβάνωVB-AAS3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ὁRA-ASN αἷμαN3M-ASN αὐτόςRD-GSM ἐπίP ὁRA-GSF κεφαλήN1-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM εἰμίVF-FMI3S |
[4]Then whoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword shall come and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. |
| [5]ὅτιC ὁRA-ASF φωνήN1-ASF ὁRA-GSF σάλπιγξN3G-GSF ἀκούωVA-AAPNSM οὐD φυλάσσωVAI-AMI3S ὁRA-NSN αἷμαN3M-NSN αὐτόςRD-GSM ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-GSM εἰμίVF-FMI3S καίC οὗτοςRD-NSM ὅτιC φυλάσσωVAI-AMI3S ὁRA-ASF ψυχήN1-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM ἐκαἱρέωVBI-AMI3S |
[5]He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. |
| [6]καίC ὁRA-NSM σκοπόςN2-NSM ἐάνC ὁράωVB-AAS3S ὁRA-ASF ῥομφαίαN1A-ASF ἔρχομαιV1-PMPASF καίC μήD σημαίνωVA-AAS3S ὁRA-DSF σάλπιγξN3G-DSF καίC ὁRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM μήD φυλάσσωVA-AMS3S καίC ἔρχομαιVB-AAPNSF ὁRA-NSF ῥομφαίαN1A-NSF λαμβάνωVB-AAS3S ἐκP αὐτόςRD-GPM ψυχήN1-ASF οὗτοςRD-NSF διάP ὁRA-ASF ἑαυτοῦRD-GSF ἀνομίαN1A-ASF λαμβάνωVVI-API3S καίC ὁRA-ASN αἷμαN3M-ASN ἐκP ὁRA-GSF χείρN3-GSF ὁRA-GSM σκοπόςN2-GSM ἐκζητέωVF-FAI1S |
[6]But if the watchman shall see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword shall come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. |

[7]So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. |
| [8]ἐνP ὁRA-DSN εἶπονVB-AAN ἐγώRP-AS ὁRA-DSM ἁμαρτωλόςA1B-DSM θάνατοςN2-DSM θανατόωVC-FPI2S καίC μήD λαλέωVA-AAS2S ὁRA-GSN φυλάσσωVA-AMN ὁRA-ASM ἀσεβήςA3H-APM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF ὁδόςN2-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM αὐτόςRD-NSM ὁRA-NSM ἄνομοςA1B-NSM ὁRA-DSF ἀνομίαN1A-DSF αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀποθνήσκωVF2-FMI3S ὁRA-ASN δέX αἷμαN3M-ASN αὐτόςRD-GSM ἐκP ὁRA-GSF χείρN3-GSF σύRP-GS ἐκζητέωVF-FAI1S |
[8]When I say to the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thy hand. |
| [9]σύRP-NS δέX ἐάνC προ ἀποἀγγέλλωVA-AAS2S ὁRA-DSM ἀσεβήςA3H-DSM ὁRA-ASF ὁδόςN2-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM ὁRA-GSN ἀποστρέφωVA-AAN ἀπόP αὐτόςRD-GSF καίC μήD ἀποστρέφωVA-AAS3S ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF ὁδόςN2-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM οὗτοςRD-NSM ὁRA-DSF ἀσέβειαN1A-DSF αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀποθνήσκωVF2-FMI3S καίC σύRP-NS ὁRA-ASF ψυχήN1-ASF σεαυτοῦRD-GSM ἐκαἱρέωVM-XMI2S |
[9]Nevertheless, if thou shalt warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he shall not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. |
| [10]καίC σύRP-NS υἱόςN2-VSM ἄνθρωποςN2-GSM εἶπονVB-AAD2S ὁRA-DSM οἶκοςN2-DSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM οὕτωςD λαλέωVAI-AAI2P λέγωV1-PAPNPM ὁRA-NPF πλάνηN1-NPF ἐγώRP-GP καίC ὁRA-NPF ἀνομίαN1A-NPF ἐγώRP-GP ἐπίP ἐγώRP-DP εἰμίV9-PAI3P καίC ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DPF ἐγώRP-NP τήκωV1-PMI1P καίC πῶςD ζάωVF-FMI1P |
[10]Therefore, O thou son of man, speak to the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live? |
| [11]εἶπονVB-AAD2S αὐτόςRD-DPM ζάωV3-PAI1S ἐγώRP-NS ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM οὐD βούλομαιV1-PMI1S ὁRA-ASM θάνατοςN2-ASM ὁRA-GSM ἀσεβήςA3H-GSM ὡςC ὁRA-ASN ἀποστρέφωVA-AAN ὁRA-ASM ἀσεβήςA3H-ASM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF ὁδόςN2-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ζάωV3-PAN αὐτόςRD-ASM ἀποστροφήN1-DSF ἀποστρέφωVA-AAD2P ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF ὁδόςN2-GSF σύRP-GP καίC ἵναC τίςRI-ASN ἀποθνήσκωV1-PAI2P οἶκοςN2-NSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM |
[11]Say to them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked should turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? |
| [12]εἶπονVB-AAD2S πρόςP ὁRA-APM υἱόςN2-APM ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM σύRP-GS δικαιοσύνηN1-NSF δίκαιοςA1A-GSM οὐD μήD ἐκαἱρέωVB-AMS3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐνP ὅςRR-DSF ἄνX ἡμέραN1A-DSF πλανάωVC-APS3S καίC ἀνομίαN1A-NSF ἀσεβήςA3H-GSM οὐD μήD κακόωVA-AAS3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐνP ὅςRR-DSF ἄνX ἡμέραN1A-DSF ἀποστρέφωVA-AAS3S ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF ἀνομίαN1A-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC δίκαιοςA1A-NSM οὐD μήD δύναμαιV6-PMS3S σώζωVC-APN |
[12]Therefore, thou son of man, say to the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall by it in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. |
| [13]ἐνP ὁRA-DSN εἶπονVB-AAN ἐγώRP-AS ὁRA-DSM δίκαιοςA1A-DSM οὗτοςRD-NSM πείθωVX-XAI3S ἐπίP ὁRA-DSF δικαιοσύνηN1-DSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ποιέωVA-AAS3S ἀνομίαN1A-ASF πᾶςA1S-NPF ὁRA-NPF δικαιοσύνηN1-NPF αὐτόςRD-GSM οὐD μήD ἀναμιμνήσκωVS-APS3P ἐνP ὁRA-DSF ἀδικίαN1A-DSF αὐτόςRD-GSM ὅςRR-DSF ποιέωVAI-AAI3S ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DSF ἀποθνήσκωVF2-FMI3S |
[13]When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he shall trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it. |
| [14]καίC ἐνP ὁRA-DSN εἶπονVB-AAN ἐγώRP-AS ὁRA-DSM ἀσεβήςA3H-DSM θάνατοςN2-DSM θανατόωVC-FPI2S καίC ἀποστρέφωVF-FMI2S ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF ἁμαρτίαN1A-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ποιέωVA-AAS3S κρίμαN3M-ASN καίC δικαιοσύνηN1-ASF |
[14]Again, when I say to the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he shall turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; |
| [15]καίC ἐνεχύρασμαN3M-ASN ἀποδίδωμιVO-AAS3S καίC ἅρπαγμαN3M-ASN ἀποτίνωVA-AAS3S ἐνP πρόσταγμαN3M-DPN ζωήN1-GSF διαπορεύομαιV1-PMS3S ὁRA-GSN μήD ποιέωVA-AAN ἄδικοςA1B-ASM ζωήN1-DSF ζάωVF-FMI3S καίC οὐD μήD ἀποθνήσκωVB-AAS3S |
[15]If the wicked shall restore the pledge, give again that which he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die. |
| [16]πᾶςA1S-NPF ὁRA-NPF ἁμαρτίαN1A-NPF αὐτόςRD-GSM ὅςRR-APF ἁμαρτάνωVBI-AAI3S οὐD μήD ἀναμιμνήσκωVS-APS3P ὅτιC κρίμαN3M-ASN καίC δικαιοσύνηN1-ASF ποιέωVAI-AAI3S ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DPM ζάωVF-FMI3S |
[16]None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned to him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live. |
| [17]καίC εἶπονVF2-FAI3P ὁRA-NPM υἱόςN2-NPM ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM σύRP-GS οὐD εὐθύςA3U-NSF ὁRA-NSF ὁδόςN2-NSF ὁRA-GSM κύριοςN2-GSM καίC οὗτοςRD-NSF ὁRA-NSF ὁδόςN2-NSF αὐτόςRD-GPM οὐD εὐθύςA3U-NSF |
[17]Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal. |
| [18]ἐνP ὁRA-DSN ἀποστρέφωVA-AAN δίκαιοςA1A-ASM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF δικαιοσύνηN1-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ποιέωVA-AAS3S ἀνομίαN1A-GSF καίC ἀποθνήσκωVF2-FMI3S ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DPF |
[18]When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, for that he shall even die. |
| [19]καίC ἐνP ὁRA-DSN ἀποστρέφωVA-AAN ὁRA-ASM ἁμαρτωλόςA1B-ASM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF ἀνομίαN1A-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ποιέωVA-AAS3S κρίμαN3M-ASN καίC δικαιοσύνηN1-ASF ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DPM αὐτόςRD-NSM ζάωVF-FMI3S |
[19]But if the wicked shall turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, for that he shall live. |
| [20]καίC οὗτοςRD-ASN εἰμίV9-PAI3S ὅςRR-ASN εἶπονVAI-AAI2P οὐD εὐθύςA3U-NSF ὁRA-NSF ὁδόςN2-NSF κύριοςN2-GSM ἕκαστοςA1-ASM ἐνP ὁRA-DPF ὁδόςN2-DPF αὐτόςRD-GSM κρίνωVF2-FAI1S σύRP-AP οἶκοςN2-NSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM |
[20]Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways. |
| [21]καίC γίγνομαιVCI-API3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSN δωδέκατοςA1-DSN ἔτοςN3E-DSN ἐνP ὁRA-DSM δωδέκατοςA1-DSM μήνN3-DSM πέμπτοςA1-DSF ὁRA-GSM μήνN3-GSM ὁRA-GSF αἰχμαλωσίαN1A-GSF ἐγώRP-GP ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM ἀνασώζωVC-APPNSM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS ἀπόP *ἰερουσαλήμN--GSF λέγωV1-PAPNSM ἁλίσκωVZI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSF πόλιςN3I-NSF |
[21]And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came to me, saying, The city is smitten. |
| [22]καίC γίγνομαιVCI-API3S ἐπίP ἐγώRP-AS χείρN3-NSF κύριοςN2-GSM ἑσπέραN1A-GSF πρίνD ἔρχομαιVB-AAN αὐτόςRD-ASM καίC ἀναοἴγωVAI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-GS ὁRA-ASN στόμαN3M-ASN ἕωςD ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS ὁRA-ASN πρωΐD καίC ἀναοἴγωVQ-APPNSN ἐγώRP-GS ὁRA-NSN στόμαN3M-NSN οὐD συνἔχωVCI-API3S ἔτιD |
[22]Now the hand of the LORD was upon me in the evening, before he that had escaped came; and had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more dumb. |

[23]Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, |
| [24]υἱόςN2-VSM ἄνθρωποςN2-GSM ὁRA-NPM καταοἰκέωV2-PAPNPM ὁRA-APF ἐρημόωVM-XPPAPF ἐπίP ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ὁRA-GSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM λέγωV1-PAI3P εἷςA3-NSM εἰμίV9-IAI3S *ἀβραάμN--NSM καίC καταἔχωVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF καίC ἐγώRP-NP πολύςA3C-NPM εἰμίV9-PAI1P ἐγώRP-DP δίδωμιVM-XMI3S ὁRA-NSF γῆN1-NSF εἰςP κατάσχεσιςN3I-ASF |
[24]Son of man, they that inhabit those wastes of the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given to us for inheritance. |
| [25]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN εἶπονVB-AAD2S αὐτόςRD-DPM ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-NSM |
[25]Wherefore say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Ye eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes towards your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land? |

[26]Ye stand upon your sword, ye work abomination, and ye defile every one his neighbor's wife: and shall ye possess the land? |
| [27]ζάωV3-PAI1S ἐγώRP-NS εἰC μήνX ὁRA-NPM ἐνP ὁRA-DPF ἐρημόωVM-XPPDPF μάχαιραN1A-DSF πίπτωVF2-FMI3P καίC ὁRA-NPM ἐπίP πρόσωπονN2N-GSN ὁRA-GSN πεδίονN2N-GSN ὁRA-DPN θηρίονN2N-DPN ὁRA-GSM ἀγρόςN2-GSM δίδωμιVC-FPI3P εἰςP κατάβρωμαN3M-ASN καίC ὁRA-APM ἐνP ὁRA-DPF τειχίζωVT-XMPDPF καίC ὁRA-APM ἐνP ὁRA-DPN σπήλαιονN2N-DPN θάνατοςN2-DSM ἀποκτείνωVF2-FAI1S |
[27]Say thou thus to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that are in the forts and in the caves shall die by the pestilence. |
| [28]καίC δίδωμιVF-FAI1S ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF ἔρημοςA1B-ASF καίC ἀποὀλλύωVF2-FMI3S ὁRA-NSF ὕβριςN3I-NSF ὁRA-GSF ἰσχύςN3U-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSF καίC ἐρημόωVC-FPI3S ὁRA-APN ὄροςN3E-APN ὁRA-GSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM διάP ὁRA-ASN μήD εἰμίV9-PAN διαπορεύομαιV1-PMPASM |
[28]For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through. |
| [29]καίC γιγνώσκωVF-FMI3P ὅτιC ἐγώRP-NS εἰμίV9-PAI1S κύριοςN2-NSM καίC ποιέωVF-FAI1S ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF αὐτόςRD-GPM ἔρημοςA1B-ASF καίC ἐρημόωVC-FPI3S διάP πᾶςA3-APN ὁRA-APN βδέλυγμαN3M-APN αὐτόςRD-GPM ὅςRR-APN ποιέωVAI-AAI3P |
[29]Then shall they know that I am the LORD, when I have laid the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed. |
| [30]καίC σύRP-NS υἱόςN2-VSM ἄνθρωποςN2-GSM ὁRA-NPM υἱόςN2-NPM ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM σύRP-GS ὁRA-NPM λαλέωV2-PAPNPM περίP σύRP-GS παράP ὁRA-APN τεῖχοςN3E-APN καίC ἐνP ὁRA-DPM πυλώνN3W-DPM ὁRA-GPF οἰκίαN1A-GPF καίC λαλέωV2-PAI3P ἄνθρωποςN2-NSM ὁRA-DSM ἀδελφόςN2-DSM αὐτόςRD-GSM λέγωV1-PAPNPM συνἔρχομαιVB-AAS1P καίC ἀκούωVA-AAS1P ὁRA-APN ἐκπορεύομαιV1-PMPAPN παράP κύριοςN2-GSM |
[30]Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying, Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the LORD. |
| [31]ἔρχομαιV1-PMI3P πρόςP σύRP-AS ὡςC συνπορεύομαιV1-PMI3S λαόςN2-NSM καίC καταἧμαιV5-PMI3P ἐναντίονP σύRP-GS καίC ἀκούωV1-PAI3P ὁRA-APN ῥῆμαN3M-APN σύRP-GS καίC αὐτόςRD-APN οὐD μήD ποιέωVF-FAI3P ὅτιC ψεῦδοςN3E-NSN ἐνP ὁRA-DSN στόμαN3M-DSN αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC ὀπίσωP ὁRA-GPN μίασμαN3M-GPN ὁRA-NSF καρδίαN1A-NSF αὐτόςRD-GPM |
[31]And they come to thee as the people come, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. |
| [32]καίC γίγνομαιV1-PMS2S αὐτόςRD-DPM ὡςC φωνήN1-NSF ψαλτήριονN2N-GSN ἡδύφωνοςA1B-GSN εὐάρμοστοςA1B-GSN καίC ἀκούωVF-FMI3P σύRP-GS ὁRA-APN ῥῆμαN3M-APN καίC οὐD μήD ποιέωVF-FAI3P αὐτόςRD-APN |
[32]And lo, thou art to them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do not perform them. |
| [33]καίC ἡνίκαD ἄνX ἔρχομαιVB-AAS3S εἶπονVF2-FAI3P ἰδούI ἥκωV1-PAI3S καίC γιγνώσκωVF-FMI3P ὅτιC προφήτηςN1M-NSM εἰμίV9-IAI3S ἐνP μέσοςA1-DSM αὐτόςRD-GPM |
[33]And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them. |
