| [1]And it cometh to pass after these things that God hath tried Abraham, and saith unto him, `Abraham;' and he saith, `Here [am] I.' |

| [2]And He saith, `Take, I pray thee, thy son, thine only one, whom thou hast loved, even Isaac, and go for thyself unto the land of Moriah, and cause him to ascend there for a burnt-offering on one of the mountains of which I speak unto thee.' |

| [3]And Abraham riseth early in the morning, and saddleth his ass, and taketh two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and he cleaveth the wood of the burnt-offering, and riseth and goeth unto the place of which God hath spoken to him. |

| [4]On the third day -- Abraham lifteth up his eyes, and seeth the place from afar; |

| [5]and Abraham saith unto his young men, `Remain by yourselves here with the ass, and I and the youth go yonder and worship, and turn back unto you.' |
[5]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *αβρααμN--NSM ὁRA-DPM παῖςN3D-DPM αὐτόςRD-GSM καταἵζωVA-ADI2P αὐτόςRD-GSM μετάP ὁRA-GSF ὄνοςN2-GSF ἐγώRP-NS δέX καίC ὁRA-NSN παιδάριονN2N-NSN διαἔρχομαιVF-FMI1P ἕωςC ὧδεD καίC προςκυνέωVA-AAPNPM ἀναστρέφωVA-AAS1P πρόςP σύRP-AP |
| [6]And Abraham taketh the wood of the burnt-offering, and placeth on Isaac his son, and he taketh in his hand the fire, and the knife; and they go on both of them together. |
[6]λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S δέX *αβρααμN--NSM ὁRA-APN ξύλονN2N-APN ὁRA-GSF ὁλοκάρπωσιςN3I-GSF καίC ἐπιτίθημιVAI-AAI3S *ισαακN--DSM ὁRA-DSM υἱόςN2-DSM αὐτόςRD-GSM λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S δέX καίC ὁRA-ASN πῦρN3-ASN μετάP χείρN3-ASF καίC ὁRA-ASF μάχαιραN1A-ASF καίC πορεύομαιVCI-API3P ὁRA-NPM δύοM ἅμαD |
| [7]And Isaac speaketh unto Abraham his father, and saith, `My father,' and he saith, `Here [am] I, my son.' And he saith, `Lo, the fire and the wood, and where the lamb for a burnt-offering?' |
[7]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX *ισαακN--NSM πρόςP *αβρααμN--ASM ὁRA-ASM πατήρN3-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM εἶπονVAI-AAI2S πατήρN3-VSM ὁRA-NSM δέX εἶπονVBI-AAI3S τίςRI-NSN εἰμίV9-PAI3S τέκνονN2N-VSN λέγωV1-PAPNSM ἰδούI ὁRA-NSN πῦρN3-NSN καίC ὁRA-NPN ξύλονN2N-NPN ποῦD εἰμίV9-PAI3S ὁRA-NSN πρόβατονN2N-NSN ὁRA-ASN εἰςP ὁλοκάρπωσιςN3I-ASF |
| [8]and Abraham saith, `God doth provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt-offering, my son;' and they go on both of them together. |
[8]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX *αβρααμN--NSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ὁράωVF-FMI3S ἑαυτοῦRD-DSM πρόβατονN2N-ASN εἰςP ὁλοκάρπωσιςN3I-ASF τέκνονN2N-VSN πορεύομαιVC-APPNPM δέX ἀμφότεροιA1A-NPM ἅμαD |
| [9]And they come in unto the place of which God hath spoken to him, and there Abraham buildeth the altar, and arrangeth the wood, and bindeth Isaac his son, and placeth him upon the altar above the wood; |
[9]ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3P ἐπίP ὁRA-ASM τόποςN2-ASM ὅςRR-ASM εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM καίC οἰκοδομέωVAI-AAI3S ἐκεῖD *αβρααμN--NSM θυσιαστήριονN2N-ASN καίC ἐπιτίθημιVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-APN ξύλονN2N-APN καίC συνποδίζωVA-AAPNSM *ισαακN--ASM ὁRA-ASM υἱόςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM ἐπιτίθημιVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐπίP ὁRA-ASN θυσιαστήριονN2N-ASN ἐπάνωP ὁRA-GPN ξύλονN2N-GPN |
| [10]and Abraham putteth forth his hand, and taketh the knife -- to slaughter his son. |

| [11]And the messenger of Jehovah calleth unto him from the heavens, and saith, `Abraham, Abraham;' and he saith, `Here [am] I;' |
[11]καίC καλέωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM ἐκP ὁRA-GSM οὐρανόςN2-GSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM *αβρααμN--DSM *αβρααμN--VSM ὁRA-NSM δέX εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ἰδούI ἐγώRP-NS |
| [12]and He saith, `Put not forth thine hand unto the youth, nor do anything to him, for now I have known that thou art fearing God, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one, from Me.' |
[12]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S μήD ἐπιβάλλωVB-AAS2S ὁRA-ASF χείρN3-ASF σύRP-GS ἐπίP ὁRA-ASN παιδάριονN2N-ASN μηδέC ποιέωVA-AAS2S αὐτόςRD-DSM μηδείςA3P-ASN νῦνD γάρX γιγνώσκωVZI-AAI1S ὅτιC φοβέωV2-PMI2S ὁRA-ASM θεόςN2-ASM σύRP-NS καίC οὐD φείδομαιVAI-AMI2S ὁRA-GSM υἱόςN2-GSM σύRP-GS ὁRA-GSM ἀγαπητόςA1-GSM διάP ἐγώRP-AS |
| [13]And Abraham lifteth up his eyes, and looketh, and lo, a ram behind, seized in a thicket by its horns; and Abraham goeth, and taketh the ram, and causeth it to ascend for a burnt-offering instead of his son; |
[13]καίC ἀναβλέπωVA-AAPNSM *αβρααμN--NSM ὁRA-DPM ὀφθαλμόςN2-DPM αὐτόςRD-GSM ὁράωVBI-AAI3S καίC ἰδούI κριόςN2-NSM εἷςA3-NSM καταἔχωV1-PMPNSM ἐνP φυτόνN2N-DSN σαβεκN--S ὁRA-GPN κέραςN3T-GPN καίC πορεύομαιVCI-API3S *αβρααμN--NSM καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASM κριόςN2-ASM καίC ἀναφέρωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASM εἰςP ὁλοκάρπωσιςN3I-ASF ἀντίP *ισαακN--GSM ὁRA-GSM υἱόςN2-GSM αὐτόςRD-GSM |
| [14]and Abraham calleth the name of that place `Jehovah-Jireh,' because it is said this day in the mount, `Jehovah doth provide.' |

| [15]And the messenger of Jehovah calleth unto Abraham a second time from the heavens, |
[15]καίC καλέωVAI-AAI3S ἄγγελοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM ὁRA-ASM *αβρααμN--ASM δεύτεροςA1A-ASN ἐκP ὁRA-GSM οὐρανόςN2-GSM |
| [16]and saith, `By Myself I have sworn -- the affirmation of Jehovah -- that because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one -- |
[16]λέγωV1-PAPNSM κατάP ἐμαυτοῦRD-GSM ὄμνυμιVAI-AAI1S λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ὅςRR-GSM εἵνεκενP ποιέωVAI-AAI2S ὁRA-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN οὗτοςRD-ASN καίC οὐD φείδομαιVAI-AMI2S ὁRA-GSM υἱόςN2-GSM σύRP-GS ὁRA-GSM ἀγαπητόςA1-GSM διάP ἐγώRP-AS |
| [17]that blessing I bless thee, and multiplying I multiply thy seed as stars of the heavens, and as sand which [is] on the sea-shore; and thy seed doth possess the gate of his enemies; |
[17]ἦD μήνX εὐλογέωV2-PAPNSM εὐλογέωVF-FAI1S σύRP-AS καίC πληθύνωV1-PAPNSM πληθύνωVF2-FAI1S ὁRA-ASN σπέρμαN3M-ASN σύRP-GS ὡςC ὁRA-APM ἀστήρN3-APM ὁRA-GSM οὐρανόςN2-GSM καίC ὡςC ὁRA-ASF ἄμμοςN2-ASF ὁRA-ASF παράP ὁRA-ASN χεῖλοςN3E-ASN ὁRA-GSF θάλασσαN1S-GSF καίC κληρονομέωVF-FAI3S ὁRA-NSN σπέρμαN3M-NSN σύRP-GS ὁRA-APF πόλιςN3I-NPF ὁRA-GPM ὑπεναντίοςA1A-GPM |
| [18]and blessed themselves in thy seed have all nations of the earth, because that thou hast hearkened to My voice.' |
[18]καίC ἐνεὐλογέωVC-FPI3P ἐνP ὁRA-DSN σπέρμαN3M-DSN σύRP-GS πᾶςA3-NPN ὁRA-NPN ἔθνοςN3E-NPN ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ἀντίP ὅςRR-GPM ὑποἀκούωVAI-AAI2S ὁRA-GSF ἐμόςA1-GSF φωνήN1-GSF |
| [19]And Abraham turneth back unto his young men, and they rise and go together unto Beer-Sheba; and Abraham dwelleth in Beer-Sheba. |
[19]ἀποστρέφωVDI-API3S δέX *αβρααμN--NSM πρόςP ὁRA-APM παῖςN3D-APM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ἀναἵστημιVH-AAPNPM πορεύομαιVCI-API3P ἅμαD ἐπίP ὁRA-ASN φρέαρN3T-ASN ὁRA-GSM ὅρκοςN2-GSM καίC καταοἰκέωVAI-AAI3S *αβρααμN--NSM ἐπίP ὁRA-DSN φρέαρN3T-DSN ὁRA-GSM ὅρκοςN2-GSM |
| [20]And it cometh to pass after these things that it is declared to Abraham, saying, `Lo, Milcah hath borne, even she, sons to Nahor thy brother: |
[20]γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S δέX μετάP ὁRA-APN ῥῆμαN3M-APN οὗτοςRD-APN καίC ἀναἀγγέλλωVDI-API3S ὁRA-DSM *αβρααμN--DSM λέγωV1-PAPNPM ἰδούI τίκτωVX-XAI3S *μελχαN--NSF καίC αὐτόςRD-NSF υἱόςN2-APM *ναχωρN--DSM ὁRA-DSM ἀδελφόςN2-DSM σύRP-GS |
| [21]Huz his first-born, and Buz his brother; and Kemuel father of Aram, |
[21]ὁRA-ASM *ωξN--ASN πρωτότοκοςA1B-ASM καίC ὁRA-ASM *βαυξN--ASM ἀδελφόςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ὁRA-ASM *καμουηλN--ASM πατήρN3-ASM *σύροςN2-GPM |
| [22]and Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel; |
[22]καίC ὁRA-ASM *χασαδN--ASM καίC ὁRA-ASM *αζαυN--ASM καίC ὁRA-ASM *φαλδαςN--ASM καίC ὁRA-ASM *ιεδλαφN--ASM καίC ὁRA-ASM *βαθουηλN--ASM |
| [23]and Bethuel hath begotten Rebekah;' these eight hath Milcah borne to Nahor, Abraham's brother; |
[23]καίC *βαθουηλN--NSM γεννάωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASF *ρεβεκκαN--ASF ὀκτώM οὗτοςRD-NPM υἱόςN2-NPM ὅςRR-APM τίκτωVBI-AAI3S *μελχαN--NSF ὁRA-DSM *ναχωρN--DSM ὁRA-DSM ἀδελφόςN2-DSM *αβρααμN--GSM |
| [24]and his concubine, whose name [is] Reumah, she also hath borne Tebah, and Gaham, and Tahash, and Maachah. |
