[1]Because of this we are indebted that all the more we should be attentive to whatever we have heard lest we fall |
[1]Therefore we are obligated to be more exceedingly heedful in what we have heard, that we fall not. |
[2]If for a word that was spoken by the angels was established and everyone who heard it and violated it received a reward by justice |
[2]For if the word which was uttered by angels was confirmed, and every one who heard it, and transgressed against it, received a just retribution,ⓘ |
[3]How? we shall escape if we despise those things which are our life those things which began from our Lord to be spoken and from those who from Him heard among us and were confirmed |
[3]How shall we escape if we despise those [words] which themselves are our salvation? those [namely] which began by our Lord to be spoken, and by them who from him heard them in us were confirmed, |
[4]While testified for them Alaha with signs and in wonders and by miracles various and by distributions of The Spirit of Holiness which were given according to His will |
[4]When Aloha witnessed concerning them by signs, and by miracles, and by various powers, and by distributed giftsⓘ of the Spirit of Holiness, that were bestowed according to his will. |
[5]Not it was for to angels He subjected the world future about which we are speaking |
[5]FOR it was not to the angels he subjected the world which is future,ⓘ of which we discourse. |
[6]But as testifies the scripture and says what is? man that You remember him and the son of man that You care for him |
[6]But, as the scripture testifieth and saith, What is man, that thou rememberedst him, and the Son of man, that thou didst visit him? |
7[No verse] |
[7]Thou didst humble him [to be] less than the angels; glory and honour hast thou placed upon his head, and hast empowered him over the work of thy hands, and every thing hast thou put in subjection under his feet. |
[8]And all things You have subjected under his feet by this but "every thing He subjected to him not it leaves anything that not is subjected now but not yet we see that every thing is subjected to him |
[8][Now] in this, that he subjected every thing to him, he hath left nothing which he hath not subjected. Yet hitherto we see not that every thing is subjected to him. |
[9]He but Who was lower a little than the angels we see that He is Ieshu for the suffering of His death and glory and honor are placed on His head Himself for by His grace Alaha |
[9]But him who was humbled to be less than the angels, we see to be JESHU himself, for the sake of the passion of his death; and glory and honour set upon his head; for He Aloha,ⓘ in his grace, for every man hath tasted death! |
[10]Fitting it was for for Him Who all by His hand and all for His sake and children many bringing to the glory that The Prince of their Life by His suffering would perfect Himself |
[10]For it was proper to him by whose hand are all, and on account of whom all are, [and who] would lead many sons to his glory, that the Princeⓘ of their salvation by sufferings should be perfected. |
[11]He for Who makes holy and those who are made holy of One are all of them because of this not He is ashamed to call them His brothers |
[11]For he who sanctified, and they who are sanctified, are all from one: wherefore he has not been ashamed to call them his brethren. |
[12]When He said I shall announce Your Name to My brethren and within it the church I shall glorify You |
[12][As] when he saith, I will announce thy name unto my brethren, and in the midst of the church I will praise thee. |
[13]And again "I shall be trusting upon Him and again behold I and the children whom has given to Me Alaha |
[13]And again, I will put my confidence in him. And again, Behold me, and the sons whom thou hast given me, Aloha. |
[14]Because for the children shared in flesh and blood with them in these things also He in it in the form shared that in His death He would destroy the one which had held the authority of death who is Satan |
[14]FORASMUCH as the sons have been made to participate in flesh and blood, he also likewise was made a partaker of these very things; that by his death he might abolish him who held the power of death, who is Satana, |
[15]And He would free those who by fear of death in all their lives subjected were to bondage |
[15]And set loose them who in the fear of death had been all their lives subjected to servitude. |
[16]Not it was for over the angels authorized was death but over the seed of Abraham authorized it was |
[16]For not from the angels he took,ⓘ but from the seed of Abraham he took. |
[17]Because of this right it was that in all things He would become like His brethren that He would be compassionate and a high priest trustworthy in what is Alaha's and would make atonement for the sins of the people |
[17]Therefore it was right that in every thing he should be rendered like unto his brethren, that he might be compassionate, and a High Priest faithful in [things pertaining] to Aloha, and become an expiation for the sins of the people. |
[18]In this for that He has suffered and was tempted He can help those who are tempted |
[18]For in this, that he hath suffered and been tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted. |
