[2]קָרְא֖וּ לָהֶ֑ם כֵּ֚ן הָלְכ֣וּ מִפְּנֵיהֶ֔ם לַבְּעָלִ֣ים יְזַבֵּ֔חוּ וְלַפְּסִלִ֖ים יְקַטֵּרֽוּן׃ |

[3]וְאָנֹכִ֤י תִרְגַּ֙לְתִּי֙ לְאֶפְרַ֔יִם קָחָ֖ם עַל־זְרֹֽועֹתָ֑יו וְלֹ֥א יָדְע֖וּ כִּ֥י רְפָאתִֽים׃ |
| [4]I drewH4900[H8799] them with cordsH2256 of a manH120, with bandsH5688 of loveH160: and I was to them as they that take offH7311[H8688] the yokeH5923 on their jawsH3895, and I laidH5186[H8686] meatH398 unto themH8686. |
[4]בְּחַבְלֵ֨י אָדָ֤ם אֶמְשְׁכֵם֙ בַּעֲבֹתֹ֣ות אַהֲבָ֔ה וָאֶהְיֶ֥ה לָהֶ֛ם כִּמְרִ֥ימֵי עֹ֖ל עַ֣ל לְחֵיהֶ֑ם וְאַ֥ט אֵלָ֖יו אֹוכִֽיל׃ |
| [5]He shall not returnH7725[H8799] into the landH776 of EgyptH4714, but the AssyrianH804 shall be his kingH4428, because they refusedH3985[H8765] to returnH7725.[H8800] |
[5]לֹ֤א יָשׁוּב֙ אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם וְאַשּׁ֖וּר ה֣וּא מַלְכֹּ֑ו כִּ֥י מֵאֲנ֖וּ לָשֽׁוּב׃ |
| [6]And the swordH2719 shall abideH2342[H8804] on his citiesH5892, and shall consumeH3615[H8765] his branchesH905, and devourH398[H8804] them, because of their own counselsH4156. |
[6]וְחָלָ֥ה חֶ֙רֶב֙ בְּעָרָ֔יו וְכִלְּתָ֥ה בַדָּ֖יו וְאָכָ֑לָה מִֽמֹּעֲצֹ֖ותֵיהֶֽם׃ |
| [7]And my peopleH5971 are bentH8511[H8803] to backslidingH4878 from me: though they calledH7121[H8799] them to the most HighH5920, none at allH3162 would exaltH7311 himH8787. |
[7]וְעַמִּ֥י תְלוּאִ֖ים לִמְשֽׁוּבָתִ֑י וְאֶל־עַל֙ יִקְרָאֻ֔הוּ יַ֖חַד לֹ֥א יְרֹומֵם ׃ |
| [8]How shall I give thee upH5414[H8799], EphraimH669? how shall I deliverH4042[H8762] thee, IsraelH3478? how shall I makeH5414[H8799] thee as AdmahH126? how shall I setH7760[H8799] thee as ZeboimH6636? mine heartH3820 is turnedH2015[H8738] within me, my repentingsH5150 are kindledH3648[H8738] togetherH3162. |
[8]אֵ֞יךְ אֶתֶּנְךָ֣ אֶפְרַ֗יִם אֲמַגֶּנְךָ֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֵ֚יךְ אֶתֶּנְךָ֣ כְאַדְמָ֔ה אֲשִֽׂימְךָ֖ כִּצְבֹאיִ֑ם נֶהְפַּ֤ךְ עָלַי֙ לִבִּ֔י יַ֖חַד נִכְמְר֥וּ נִחוּמָֽי׃ |
| [9]I will not executeH6213[H8799] the fiercenessH2740 of mine angerH639, I will not returnH7725[H8799] to destroyH7843[H8763] EphraimH669: for I am GodH410, and not manH376; the Holy OneH6918 in the midstH7130 of thee: and I will not enterH935[H8799] into the cityH5892. |
[9]לֹ֤א אֶֽעֱשֶׂה֙ חֲרֹ֣ון אַפִּ֔י לֹ֥א אָשׁ֖וּב לְשַׁחֵ֣ת אֶפְרָ֑יִם כִּ֣י אֵ֤ל אָֽנֹכִי֙ וְלֹא־אִ֔ישׁ בְּקִרְבְּךָ֣ קָדֹ֔ושׁ וְלֹ֥א אָבֹ֖וא בְּעִֽיר׃ |
| [10]They shall walkH3212[H8799] afterH310 the LORDH3068: he shall roarH7580[H8799] like a lionH738: when he shall roarH7580[H8799], then the childrenH1121 shall trembleH2729[H8799] from the westH3220. |
[10]אַחֲרֵ֧י יְהוָ֛ה יֵלְכ֖וּ כְּאַרְיֵ֣ה יִשְׁאָ֑ג כִּֽי־ה֣וּא יִשְׁאַ֔ג וְיֶחֶרְד֥וּ בָנִ֖ים מִיָּֽם׃ |
| [11]They shall trembleH2729[H8799] as a birdH6833 out of EgyptH4714, and as a doveH3123 out of the landH776 of AssyriaH804: and I will placeH3427[H8689] them in their housesH1004, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068. |
[11]יֶחֶרְד֤וּ כְצִפֹּור֙ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם וּכְיֹונָ֖ה מֵאֶ֣רֶץ אַשּׁ֑וּר וְהֹושַׁבְתִּ֥ים עַל־בָּתֵּיהֶ֖ם נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ |
| [12]EphraimH669 compassethH5437[H8804] me about with liesH3585, and the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 with deceitH4820: but JudahH3063 yet rulethH7300[H8804] with GodH410, and is faithfulH539[H8737] with the saintsH6918. |
