| [1]ܡܲܫܩ̄ܠܵܐ ܕܢܲܚܠܵܐ ܕܚܙܝܼܘܿܢ ܡܵܢܵܐ ܐܝܼܬ̣ ܠܹܟ݂ܝ ܗܵܪܟܵܐ: ܪܣܠܩܬ̇ܝ ܒܠܹܟ݂ܝ ܠܐܸܓܵܪܵܐ. |
[1]The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now that thou art wholly gone up unto the housetops? |
| [2]ܕܠܘܼܚܝܵܐ ܐܸܡ̱ܠܝܼܬ̇ܝ ܩܪܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܩܵܠܵܐ ܐܸܡ̱ܠܝܼܬ̇ܝ ܩܪܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܥܫܝܼܢܬܵܐ ܩܛܝܼܠܲܝ̈ܟ̇ܝ ܠܵܐ ܗܘ̤ܵܘ ܩܛܝܼ̈ܠܹܐ ܕܣܲܝܦܵܐ: ܐܵܦܠܵܐ ܡܝܼ̈ܬܹܐ ܕܲܩܪܵܒ̣ܵܐ. |
[2]Thou that art full of noise, a city full of brute, a joyous city: thy slain men shall not be slain with sword, nor die in battle. |
| [3]ܟܠܗܘܿܢ ܫܲܠܝܼܛܵܢܲܝ̈ܟ̇ܝ ܢܵܘܘ ܐܲܟ݂ܚ̄ܕ݂ܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܩܸܫܬܵܐ ܐܸܬ̣ܐ̱ܣܲܪܘ. ܕܐܸܫܬܚܪܘܼ ܒܹܟ݂ܝ: ܐܲܟ݂ܚܕ݂ܵܐ ܐܸܬ̣ܐ̱ܣܲܪܘ: ܘܲܠܪܘܼܚܩܵܐ ܥܪܲܩ̣ܘ. |
[3]All thy princes shall flee together from the bow: they shall be bound: all that shall be found in thee, shall be bound together, which have fled from far. |
| [4]ܡܸܛܠ ܗܵܢܵܐ ܐܸܡ̇ܪܹܬ̣: ܫܘܼܒ̣ܩܘܢܝ ܐܸܬ̣ܡܲܪܡܲܪ ܒܲܒ̣ܟ݂ܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܘܠܵܐ ܬܹܐܠܨܘܼܢ ܠܲܡܒܲܝܵܐܘܼܬܲܢܝ ܥܲܠ ܬܒ̣ܵܪܵܗ̇ ܕܒܲܪܬ̣ ܥܲܡܝ. |
[4]Therefore said I, Turn away from me: I will weep bitterly: labor not to comfort me for the destruction of the daughter of my people. |
| [5]ܡܸܛܠ ܕܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܕܲܕ݂ܠܘܼܚܝܵܐ ܘܕܲܕ݂ܝܵܫܵܐ ܘܕܲܒ̣ܟ݂ܵܬ̣ܵܐ: ܠܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ ܒܢܲܚܠܵܐ ܕܚܸܙܝܘܿܢ. ܒܨܵܐ ܫܘܼܪܹ̈ܐ: ܘܲܓ̣ܥ̣ܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܛܘܼܪܹ̈ܐ. |
[5]For it is a day of trouble, and of ruin, and of perplexity by the Lord God of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the city: and a crying unto the mountains. |
| [6]ܘܥܝܼܠܵܡ ܫ̣ܩܲܠ ܩܛܸܪܩܵܐ: ܒܪ̈ܵܟ݂ܒܹ̇ܐ ܕܐ̄ܢܵܫܵܐ ܦܲܪ̈ܵܫܹܐ. ܘܫܘܼܪܵܐ ܓܠܵܐ ܣܲܟ̇ܪܹ̈ܐ. |
[6]And Elam bear the quiver in a man's chariot with horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield. |
| [7]ܘܢܸܗܘܘܿܢ ܓܒܲـ̈ـܝܵܐ ܕܥܘܼܡܩܲܝ̈ܟ̇ܝ ܡܠܹܝܢ ܡܲܪ̈ܟ̇ܒ̣ܵܬ̣ܵܐ. ܘܦܲܪ̈ܵܫܹܐ ܢܸܣܬ̣ܕ݂ܪܘܼܢ ܥܲܠ ܬܲܪ̈ܥܹܐ. |
[7]And thy chief valleys were full of chariots, and the horsemen set themselves in array against the gate. |
| [8]ܘܲܝܗܘܼܕ݂ܵܐ ܢܸܓ̣ܠܹܐ ܣܸܕ݂ܪܹ̈ܐ. ܘܬܸܚܙܹܐ ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘܿ ܙܲܝܢܵܐ ܕܒܹܝܬ̣ ܥܵܒ̣ܵܐ. |
[8]And he discovered the covering of Judah: and thou didst look in that day to the armor of the house of the forest. |
| [9]ܘܬ̣ܘܼܪ̈ܥܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܲܩܪܝܼܬܹܗ ܕܕ݂ܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܚܙܲܝܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܕܲܣܓܝܼ̈ ܘܲܟ݂ܢܲܫ̣ܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܡܲـ̈ـܝܵܐ ܕܝܲܡܬ̣ܵܐ ܬܲܚܬܵܝܬܵܐ. |
[9]And ye have seen the breaches of the city of David: for they were many, and ye gathered the waters of the lower pool. |
| [10]ܘܲܡ̣ܠܝܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܒܵـ̈ـܬܹ̇ܐ ܕܐܘܿܪܸܫܠܸܡ. ܘܲܥ̣ܩܲܪܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܒܵـ̈ـܬܹ̇ܐ: ܕܬܲܥܫ̄ܢܘܿܢ ܫܘܼܪܵܐ. |
[10]And ye numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses have ye broken down to fortify the wall, |
| [11]ܘܩܵܒ̣̈ܝܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܥ̣ܒܲܕ̇ܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܒܹܝܬ̣ ܫܘܼܪܵܐ ܠܡܲـ̈ـܝܵܐ ܕܝܲܡܬ̣ܵܐ ܥܲܬ̇ܝܼܩܬܵܐ. ܘܠܵܐ ܚܵܪܬ̇ܘܿܢ ܠܥܵܒ̣ܘܿܕ݂ܵܗ̇ ܘܲܠܓܵܒ̣ܘܿܠܵܗ̇ ܡ̣ܢ ܪܘܼܚܩܵܐ ܠܵܐ ܚ̣ܙܲܝܬ̇ܘܿܢ. |
[11]And have also made a ditch between the two walls, for the waters of the old pool, and have not looked unto the maker thereof, neither had respect unto him that formed it of old. |
| [12]ܘܲܩ̣ܪܵܐ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘܿ: ܠܲܒ̣ܟ݂ܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܘܲܠܡܲܪ̈ܩܕ݂ܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܘܲܠܩܘܼ̈ܕ݂ܝܵܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܠܲܟ݂ܒ̣ܵܢܵܐ ܕܣܲܩܹ̈ܐ. |
[12]And in that day did the Lord God of hosts call unto weeping and mourning, and to baldness and girding with sackcloth. |
| [13]ܘܗܵܐ ܒܘܼܣܵܡܵܐ ܘܚܲܕ݂ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܢܸܟ݂ܣܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܬ̣ܵܘܪܹ̈ܐ: ܘܢܸܟ݂ܣܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܥܵـ̈ـܢܵܐ: ܘܡܹܐܟ݂ܘܼܠܬܵܐ ܕܒܣܪܵܐ: ܘܡܲܫܬܝܵܐ ܕܚܲܡܪܵܐ. ܢܹܐܟ݂ܘܿܠ ܘܢܸܫܬܹ̇ܐ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܲܡܚܵܪ ܢܡܘܼܬ̣. |
[13]And behold, joy and gladness, slaying oxen and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine, eating and drinking: for tomorrow we shall die. |
| [14]ܓܲܠܝܵܐ ܗ̄ܝܼ ܒܐܸܕ݂ܢܲܝ̈ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ: ܘܐܸܡܲܪ: ܠܵܐ ܬܸܣܒ̣ܘܼܢ ܠܟ݂ܘܿܢ ܚܛܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܗܵܕܹܐ ܥܕܲܡܵܐ ܕܲܬ̣ܡܘܼܬ̣ܘܼܢ: ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ. |
[14]And it was declared in the ears of the Lord of hosts. Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you, till ye die, saith the Lord God of hosts. |
| [15]ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ: ܙܸܠ ܠܘܵܬ̣ ܣܵܘܟܵܢ ܗܵܢܵܐ: ܠܘܵܬ̣ ܫܲܒ̣ܢܵܐ ܪܲܒ̇ܒܲܝܬܵܐ: ܘܐܸܡܲܪ ܠܹܗ. |
[15]Thus saith the Lord God of hosts, Go, get thee to that treasurer, to Shebna, the steward of the house, and say, |
| [16]ܡܵܢܵܐ ܥܵܒܹ̇ܕ݂ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܗܵܪܟܵܐ: ܘܡܵܢܵܐ ܐܝܼܬ̣ ܠܵܟ݂ ܗܵܪܟܵܐ. ܕܲܢܩܲܪܬ̇ ܠܵܟ݂ ܗܵܪܟܵܐ ܩܲܒܪܵܐ. ܢܵܩܲܪ ܒܪܘܡܵܐ ܩܲܒ̣ܪܹܗ: ܘܪܵܫܸܡ ܒܟܹܐܦܵܐ ܡܲܫ̱ܪܝܹܗ. |
[16]What haste thou to do here? And whom hast thou here? That thou shouldest here hew thee out a sepulchre, as he that heweth out his sepulchre in an high place, or that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock? |
| [17]ܗܵܐ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܡܸܫܕܹ̇ܐ ܠܵܟ݂ ܓܒ̣ܪܵܐ: ܘܡܸܛܥܵܐ ܛܵܥܹ̇ܐ ܠܵܟ݂. |
[17]Behold, the Lord will carry thee away with a great captivity, and will surely cover thee. |
| [18]ܢܹܐܠܨܵܟ݂ ܒܐܘܼܠܨܵܢܵܐ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܐܘܼܠܨܵܢܵܐ ܕܐܸܣܦܹܝܪܵܐ: ܒܐܲܪܥܵܐ: ܪܘܲܚܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܐܝܼܕܲܝܵܐ ܬܲܡܵܢ ܬܡܘܼܬ̣: ܘܬܲܡܵܢ ܡܲܪܟܲܒ̣ܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܐܝܼܩܵܪܵܟ݂: ܨܲܥܪܵܐ ܕܒܹܝܬ̣ ܡܵܪܵܟ݂. |
[18]He will surely roll and turn thee like a ball in a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house. |
| [19]ܘܐܹܗܲܓ̇ܡܵܟ݂ ܡ̣ܢ ܐܝܼܩܵܪܵܟ݂: ܘܐܸܣܲܚܦܵܟ݂ ܡ̣ܢ ܩܝܵܡܵܟ݂. |
[19]And I will drive thee from thy station, and out of thy dwelling will he destroy thee. |
| [20]ܘܢܸܗܘܹܐ ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘܿ: ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ: ܐܸܩܪܸܐ ܠܥܲܒ̣ܕ̇ܝ ܐܹܠܝܵܩܝܼܡ ܒܲܪ ܚܹܠܲܩܝܵܐ. |
[20]And in that day will I call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, |
| [21]ܘܐܲܠܒ̇ܫܝܼܘܗܝ ܟܘܿܬ̇ܝܼܢܵܟ݂. ܘܲܒ̣ܗܸܡܝܵܢܵܟ݂ ܐܸܚܙ̄ܩܝܼܘܗܝ. ܘܫܘܼܠܛܵܢܵܟ݂ ܐܸܬܸ̇ܠ ܒܐܝܼܕ݂ܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܘܢܸܗܘܹܐ ܐܲܒ̣ܵܐ ܠܥܵܡܘܿܪܹ̈ܐ ܕܐܘܿܪܸܫܠܸܡ: ܘܲܠܓܲܒ̣ܪܹ̈ܐ ܕܒܹܝܬ̣ ܝܼܗܘܼܕ݂ܵܐ. |
[21]And with thy garments will I clothe him, and with thy girdle will I strengthen him: thy power also will I commit into his hand, and he shall be a father of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the house of Judah. |
| [22]ܘܲܢܣܝܼܡ ܩܠܝܼ̈ܕܹܐ ܕܒܹܝܬ̣ ܕܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܥܲܠ ܟܲܬ̣ܦܹܗ. ܘܢܸܦ̮ܬܲܚ: ܘܠܲܝܬ̇ ܕܢܹܐܚܘܿܕ݂. ܘܢܹܐܚܘܿܕ݂ ܘܠܲܝܬ̇ ܕܢܸܦ̮ܬܲܚ. |
[22]And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder: so he shall open, and no man shall shut: and he shall shut, and no man shall open. |
| [23]ܘܐܸܩܫܝܼܘܗܝ ܣܸܟ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ ܒܐܲܬ̣ܪܵܐ ܡܗܲܝܡܢܵܐ. ܘܢܸܗܘܹܐ ܟܘܼܪܣܝܵܐ ܕܐܝܼܩܵܪܵܐ ܠܒܹܝܬ̣ ܐܲܒ̣ܘܼܗܝ. |
[23]And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place, and he shall be for the throne of glory to his father's house. |
| [24]ܘܢܸܬ̇ܠܘܼܢ ܥܠܵܘܗܝ ܟܠܹܗ ܐܝܼܩܵܪܵܐ ܕܒܹܝܬ̣ ܐܲܒ̣ܘܼܗܝ: ܡܝܲܩܪܵܐ ܘܲܡܫܲܒ̇ܚܵܐ: ܘܟ݂ܠ ܡܵܐܢܵܐ ܙܥܘܿܪܵܐ: ܡ̣ܢ ܡܵܐܢܵܐ ܕܲܙܡܵܪܵܐ: ܘܲܥܕܲܡܵܐ ܠܡܵܐܢܵܐ ܕܟܸܢܵܪܵܐ. |
[24]And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, even of the nephews and posterity all small vessels, from the vessels of the cups, even to all the instruments of music. |

[25]In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, shall the nail, that is fastened in the sure place, depart and shall be broken, and fall: and the burden, that was upon it, shall be cut off: for the Lord hath spoken it. |
| [26]ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘܿ: ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ: ܬܸܬ̣ܥ̱ܩܲܪ ܣܸܟ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܲܢܩܝܼܫܵܐ ܒܐܲܬ̣ܪܵܐ ܡܗܲܝܡܢܵܐ. ܘܬܸܣܬ̇ܚܸܦ ܘܬܸܦܸܠ. ܘܢܹܐܒܲܕ݂ ܫܩܵܠܵܐ ܕܣܝܼܡ ܥܠܹܝܗ̇: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܡܲܠܸܠ̣. |
