| [2]כֹּה־אָמַ֨ר יְהוָ֥ה עֹשֶׂ֛ךָ וְיֹצֶרְךָ֥ מִבֶּ֖טֶן יַעְזְרֶ֑ךָּ אַל־תִּירָא֙ עַבְדִּ֣י יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב וִישֻׁר֖וּן בָּחַ֥רְתִּי בֹֽו׃ |
[2]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 that madeH6213[H8802] thee, and formedH3335[H8802] thee from the wombH990, which will helpH5826[H8799] thee; FearH3372[H8799] not, O JacobH3290, my servantH5650; and thou, JesurunH3484, whom I have chosenH977.[H8804] |
| [3]כִּ֤י אֶצָּק־מַ֙יִם֙ עַל־צָמֵ֔א וְנֹזְלִ֖ים עַל־יַבָּשָׁ֑ה אֶצֹּ֤ק רוּחִי֙ עַל־זַרְעֶ֔ךָ וּבִרְכָתִ֖י עַל־צֶאֱצָאֶֽיךָ׃ |
[3]For I will pourH3332[H8799] waterH4325 upon him that is thirstyH6771, and floodsH5140[H8802] upon the dry groundH3004: I will pourH3332[H8799] my spiritH7307 upon thy seedH2233, and my blessingH1293 upon thine offspringH6631: |
| [4]וְצָמְח֖וּ בְּבֵ֣ין חָצִ֑יר כַּעֲרָבִ֖ים עַל־יִבְלֵי־מָֽיִם׃ |
[4]And they shall spring upH6779[H8804] as amongH996 the grassH2682, as willowsH6155 by the waterH4325 coursesH2988. |
| [5]זֶ֤ה יֹאמַר֙ לַֽיהוָ֣ה אָ֔נִי וְזֶ֖ה יִקְרָ֣א בְשֵֽׁם־יַעֲקֹ֑ב וְזֶ֗ה יִכְתֹּ֤ב יָדֹו֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה וּבְשֵׁ֥ם יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל יְכַנֶּֽה׃ |
[5]One shall sayH559[H8799], I am the LORD'SH3068; and another shall callH7121[H8799] himself by the nameH8034 of JacobH3290; and another shall subscribeH3789[H8799] with his handH3027 unto the LORDH3068, and surnameH3655[H8762] himself by the nameH8034 of IsraelH3478. |
| [6]כֹּֽה־אָמַ֨ר יְהוָ֧ה מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל וְגֹאֲלֹ֖ו יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאֹ֑ות אֲנִ֤י רִאשֹׁון֙ וַאֲנִ֣י אַחֲרֹ֔ון וּמִבַּלְעָדַ֖י אֵ֥ין אֱלֹהִֽים׃ |
[6]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 the KingH4428 of IsraelH3478, and his redeemerH1350[H8802] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635; I am the firstH7223, and I am the lastH314; and besideH1107 me there is no GodH430. |
| [7]וּמִֽי־כָמֹ֣ונִי יִקְרָ֗א וְיַגִּידֶ֤הָ וְיַעְרְכֶ֙הָ֙ לִ֔י מִשּׂוּמִ֖י עַם־עֹולָ֑ם וְאֹתִיֹּ֛ות וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר תָּבֹ֖אנָה יַגִּ֥ידוּ לָֽמֹו׃ |
[7]And who, as I, shall callH7121[H8799], and shall declareH5046[H8686] it, and set it in orderH6186[H8799] for me, since I appointedH7760[H8800] the ancientH5769 peopleH5971? and the things that are comingH857[H8802], and shall comeH935[H8799], let them shewH5046 unto themH8686. |
| [8]אַֽל־תִּפְחֲדוּ֙ וְאַל־תִּרְה֔וּ הֲלֹ֥א מֵאָ֛ז הִשְׁמַעְתִּ֥יךָ וְהִגַּ֖דְתִּי וְאַתֶּ֣ם עֵדָ֑י הֲיֵ֤שׁ אֱלֹ֙והַּ֙ מִבַּלְעָדַ֔י וְאֵ֥ין צ֖וּר בַּל־יָדָֽעְתִּי׃ |
[8]FearH6342[H8799] ye not, neither be afraidH7297[H8799][H8676][H7297][H8804]: have not I toldH8085[H8689] thee from that timeH227, and have declaredH5046[H8689] it? ye are even my witnessesH5707. Is thereH3426 a GodH433 besideH1107 me? yea, there is no GodH6697; I knowH3045 not anyH8804. |
| [9]יֹֽצְרֵי־פֶ֤סֶל כֻּלָּם֙ תֹּ֔הוּ וַחֲמוּדֵיהֶ֖ם בַּל־יֹועִ֑ילוּ וְעֵדֵיהֶ֣ם הֵ֗מָּה בַּל־יִרְא֛וּ וּבַל־יֵדְע֖וּ לְמַ֥עַן יֵבֹֽשׁוּ׃ |
[9]They that makeH3335[H8802] a graven imageH6459 are all of them vanityH8414; and their delectable thingsH2530[H8803] shall not profitH3276[H8686]; and they are their own witnessesH5707; they seeH7200[H8799] not, nor knowH3045[H8799]; that they may be ashamedH954.[H8799] |
| [10]מִֽי־יָצַ֥ר אֵ֖ל וּפֶ֣סֶל נָסָ֑ךְ לְבִלְתִּ֖י הֹועִֽיל׃ |
[10]Who hath formedH3335[H8804] a godH410, or moltenH5258[H8804] a graven imageH6459 that is profitableH3276[H8687] for nothingH1115? |
| [11]הֵ֤ן כָּל־חֲבֵרָיו֙ יֵבֹ֔שׁוּ וְחָרָשִׁ֥ים הֵ֖מָּה מֵֽאָדָ֑ם יִֽתְקַבְּצ֤וּ כֻלָּם֙ יַֽעֲמֹ֔דוּ יִפְחֲד֖וּ יֵבֹ֥שׁוּ יָֽחַד׃ |
[11]Behold, all his fellowsH2270 shall be ashamedH954[H8799]: and the workmenH2796, they are of menH120: let them all be gathered togetherH6908[H8691], let them stand upH5975[H8799]; yet they shall fearH6342[H8799], and they shall be ashamedH954[H8799] togetherH3162. |
| [12]חָרַ֤שׁ בַּרְזֶל֙ מַֽעֲצָ֔ד וּפָעַל֙ בַּפֶּחָ֔ם וּבַמַּקָּבֹ֖ות יִצְּרֵ֑הוּ וַיִּפְעָלֵ֙הוּ֙ בִּזְרֹ֣ועַ כֹּחֹ֔ו גַּם־רָעֵב֙ וְאֵ֣ין כֹּ֔חַ לֹא־שָׁ֥תָה מַ֖יִם וַיִּיעָֽף׃ |
[12]The smithH1270[H2796] with the tongsH4621 both workethH6466[H8804] in the coalsH6352, and fashionethH3335[H8799] it with hammersH4717, and workethH6466[H8799] it with the strengthH3581 of his armsH2220: yea, he is hungryH7457, and his strengthH3581 failethH369: he drinkethH8354[H8804] no waterH4325, and is faintH3286.[H8799] |
| [13]חָרַ֣שׁ עֵצִים֮ נָ֣טָה קָו֒ יְתָאֲרֵ֣הוּ בַשֶּׂ֔רֶד יַעֲשֵׂ֙הוּ֙ בַּמַּקְצֻעֹ֔ות וּבַמְּחוּגָ֖ה יְתָאֳרֵ֑הוּ וַֽיַּעֲשֵׂ֙הוּ֙ כְּתַבְנִ֣ית אִ֔ישׁ כְּתִפְאֶ֥רֶת אָדָ֖ם לָשֶׁ֥בֶת בָּֽיִת׃ |
[13]The carpenterH2796[H6086] stretcheth outH5186[H8804] his ruleH6957; he marketh it outH8388[H8762] with a lineH8279; he fittethH6213[H8799] it with planesH4741, and he marketh it outH8388[H8762] with the compassH4230, and makethH6213[H8799] it after the figureH8403 of a manH376, according to the beautyH8597 of a manH120; that it may remainH3427[H8800] in the houseH1004. |
| [14]לִכְרָת־לֹ֣ו אֲרָזִ֔ים וַיִּקַּ֤ח תִּרְזָה֙ וְאַלֹּ֔ון וַיְאַמֶּץ־לֹ֖ו בַּעֲצֵי־יָ֑עַר נָטַ֥ע אֹ֖רֶן וְגֶ֥שֶׁם יְגַדֵּֽל׃ |
[14]He heweth him downH3772[H8800] cedarsH730, and takethH3947[H8799] the cypressH8645 and the oakH437, which he strengthenethH553[H8762] for himself among the treesH6086 of the forestH3293: he plantethH5193[H8804] an ashH766, and the rainH1653 doth nourishH1431 itH8762. |
| [15]וְהָיָ֤ה לְאָדָם֙ לְבָעֵ֔ר וַיִּקַּ֤ח מֵהֶם֙ וַיָּ֔חָם אַף־יַשִּׂ֖יק וְאָ֣פָה לָ֑חֶם אַף־יִפְעַל־אֵל֙ וַיִּשְׁתָּ֔חוּ עָשָׂ֥הוּ פֶ֖סֶל וַיִּסְגָּד־לָֽמֹו׃ |
[15]Then shall it be for a manH120 to burnH1197[H8763]: for he will takeH3947[H8799] thereof, and warmH2552[H8799] himself; yea, he kindlethH5400[H8686] it, and bakethH644[H8804] breadH3899; yea, he makethH6466[H8799] a godH410, and worshippethH7812[H8691] it; he makethH6213[H8804] it a graven imageH6459, and falleth downH5456 theretoH8799. |
| [16]חֶצְיֹו֙ שָׂרַ֣ף בְּמֹו־אֵ֔שׁ עַל־חֶצְיֹו֙ בָּשָׂ֣ר יֹאכֵ֔ל יִצְלֶ֥ה צָלִ֖י וְיִשְׂבָּ֑ע אַף־יָחֹם֙ וְיֹאמַ֣ר הֶאָ֔ח חַמֹּותִ֖י רָאִ֥יתִי אֽוּר׃ |
[16]He burnethH8313[H8804] partH2677 thereof inH1119 the fireH784; with partH2677 thereof he eatethH398[H8799] fleshH1320; he roastethH6740[H8799] roastH6748, and is satisfiedH7646[H8799]: yea, he warmethH2552[H8799] himself, and saithH559[H8799], AhaH1889, I am warmH2552[H8804], I have seenH7200[H8804] the fireH217: |
| [17]וּשְׁאֵ֣רִיתֹ֔ו לְאֵ֥ל עָשָׂ֖ה לְפִסְלֹ֑ו [יִסְגֹּוד־ כ] (יִסְגָּד־לֹ֤ו ק) וְיִשְׁתַּ֙חוּ֙ וְיִתְפַּלֵּ֣ל אֵלָ֔יו וְיֹאמַר֙ הַצִּילֵ֔נִי כִּ֥י אֵלִ֖י אָֽתָּה׃ |
[17]And the residueH7611 thereof he makethH6213[H8804] a godH410, even his graven imageH6459: he falleth downH5456[H8799] unto it, and worshippethH7812[H8691] it, and prayethH6419[H8691] unto it, and saithH559[H8799], DeliverH5337[H8685] me; for thou art my godH410. |
| [18]לֹ֥א יָדְע֖וּ וְלֹ֣א יָבִ֑ינוּ כִּ֣י טַ֤ח מֵֽרְאֹות֙ עֵֽינֵיהֶ֔ם מֵהַשְׂכִּ֖יל לִבֹּתָֽם׃ |
[18]They have not knownH3045[H8804] nor understoodH995[H8799]: for he hath shutH2902[H8804] their eyesH5869, that they cannot seeH7200[H8800]; and their heartsH3826, that they cannot understandH7919.[H8687] |
| [19]וְלֹא־יָשִׁ֣יב אֶל־לִבֹּ֗ו וְלֹ֨א דַ֥עַת וְלֹֽא־תְבוּנָה֮ לֵאמֹר֒ חֶצְיֹ֞ו שָׂרַ֣פְתִּי בְמֹו־אֵ֗שׁ וְ֠אַף אָפִ֤יתִי עַל־גֶּחָלָיו֙ לֶ֔חֶם אֶצְלֶ֥ה בָשָׂ֖ר וְאֹכֵ֑ל וְיִתְרֹו֙ לְתֹועֵבָ֣ה אֶעֱשֶׂ֔ה לְב֥וּל עֵ֖ץ אֶסְגֹּֽוד׃ |
[19]And none considerethH7725[H8686] in his heartH3820, neither is there knowledgeH1847 nor understandingH8394 to sayH559[H8800], I have burnedH8313[H8804] partH2677 of it inH1119 the fireH784; yea, also I have bakedH644[H8804] breadH3899 upon the coalsH1513 thereof; I have roastedH6740[H8799] fleshH1320, and eatenH398[H8799] it: and shall I makeH6213[H8799] the residueH3499 thereof an abominationH8441? shall I fall downH5456[H8799] to the stockH944 of a treeH6086? |
| [20]רֹעֶ֣ה אֵ֔פֶר לֵ֥ב הוּתַ֖ל הִטָּ֑הוּ וְלֹֽא־יַצִּ֤יל אֶת־נַפְשֹׁו֙ וְלֹ֣א יֹאמַ֔ר הֲלֹ֥וא שֶׁ֖קֶר בִּימִינִֽי׃ |
[20]He feedethH7462[H8802] on ashesH665: a deceivedH2048[H8795] heartH3820 hath turned him asideH5186[H8689], that he cannot deliverH5337[H8686] his soulH5315, nor sayH559[H8799], Is there not a lieH8267 in my right handH3225? |
| [21]זְכָר־אֵ֣לֶּה יַעֲקֹ֔ב וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל כִּ֣י עַבְדִּי־אָ֑תָּה יְצַרְתִּ֤יךָ עֶֽבֶד־לִי֙ אַ֔תָּה יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לֹ֥א תִנָּשֵֽׁנִי׃ |
[21]RememberH2142[H8798] these, O JacobH3290 and IsraelH3478; for thou art my servantH5650: I have formedH3335[H8804] thee; thou art my servantH5650: O IsraelH3478, thou shalt not be forgottenH5382 of meH8735. |
| [22]מָחִ֤יתִי כָעָב֙ פְּשָׁעֶ֔יךָ וְכֶעָנָ֖ן חַטֹּאותֶ֑יךָ שׁוּבָ֥ה אֵלַ֖י כִּ֥י גְאַלְתִּֽיךָ׃ |
[22]I have blotted outH4229[H8804], as a thick cloudH5645, thy transgressionsH6588, and, as a cloudH6051, thy sinsH2403: returnH7725[H8798] unto me; for I have redeemedH1350 theeH8804. |
| [23]רָנּ֨וּ שָׁמַ֜יִם כִּֽי־עָשָׂ֣ה יְהוָ֗ה הָרִ֙יעוּ֙ תַּחְתִּיֹּ֣ות אָ֔רֶץ פִּצְח֤וּ הָרִים֙ רִנָּ֔ה יַ֖עַר וְכָל־עֵ֣ץ בֹּ֑ו כִּֽי־גָאַ֤ל יְהוָה֙ יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב וּבְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל יִתְפָּאָֽר׃ |
[23]SingH7442[H8798], O ye heavensH8064; for the LORDH3068 hath doneH6213[H8804] it: shoutH7321[H8685], ye lower partsH8482 of the earthH776: break forthH6476[H8798] into singingH7440, ye mountainsH2022, O forestH3293, and every treeH6086 therein: for the LORDH3068 hath redeemedH1350[H8804] JacobH3290, and glorifiedH6286[H8691] himself in IsraelH3478. |
| [24]כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ גֹּאֲלֶ֔ךָ וְיֹצֶרְךָ֖ מִבָּ֑טֶן אָנֹכִ֤י יְהוָה֙ עֹ֣שֶׂה כֹּ֔ל נֹטֶ֤ה שָׁמַ֙יִם֙ לְבַדִּ֔י רֹקַ֥ע הָאָ֖רֶץ [מִי כ] [אִתִּי כ] (מֵאִתִּֽי׃ ק) |

| [25]מֵפֵר֙ אֹתֹ֣ות בַּדִּ֔ים וְקֹסְמִ֖ים יְהֹולֵ֑ל מֵשִׁ֧יב חֲכָמִ֛ים אָחֹ֖ור וְדַעְתָּ֥ם יְשַׂכֵּֽל׃ |
[25]That frustratethH6565[H8688] the tokensH226 of the liarsH907, and maketh divinersH7080[H8802] madH1984[H8779]; that turnethH7725[H8688] wiseH2450 men backwardH268, and maketh their knowledgeH1847 H5528foolishH8762 |
| [26]מֵקִים֙ דְּבַ֣ר עַבְדֹּ֔ו וַעֲצַ֥ת מַלְאָכָ֖יו יַשְׁלִ֑ים הָאֹמֵ֨ר לִירוּשָׁלִַ֜ם תּוּשָׁ֗ב וּלְעָרֵ֤י יְהוּדָה֙ תִּבָּנֶ֔ינָה וְחָרְבֹותֶ֖יהָ אֲקֹומֵֽם׃ |
[26]That confirmethH6965[H8688] the wordH1697 of his servantH5650, and performethH7999[H8686] the counselH6098 of his messengersH4397; that saithH559[H8802] to JerusalemH3389, Thou shalt be inhabitedH3427[H8714]; and to the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, Ye shall be builtH1129[H8735], and I will raise upH6965[H8787] the decayed places thereofH2723: |
| [27]הָאֹמֵ֥ר לַצּוּלָ֖ה חֳרָ֑בִי וְנַהֲרֹתַ֖יִךְ אֹובִֽישׁ׃ |
[27]That saithH559[H8802] to the deepH6683, Be dryH2717[H8798], and I will dry upH3001[H8686] thy riversH5104: |
| [28]הָאֹמֵ֤ר לְכֹ֙ורֶשׁ֙ רֹעִ֔י וְכָל־חֶפְצִ֖י יַשְׁלִ֑ם וְלֵאמֹ֤ר לִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ תִּבָּנֶ֔ה וְהֵיכָ֖ל תִּוָּסֵֽד׃ |
[28]That saithH559[H8802] of CyrusH3566, He is my shepherdH7462[H8802], and shall performH7999[H8686] all my pleasureH2656: even sayingH559[H8800] to JerusalemH3389, Thou shalt be builtH1129[H8735]; and to the templeH1964, Thy foundation shall be laidH3245.[H8735] |
