[2]καίC ἰσχύωVAI-AAI3S χείρN3-NSF *μαδιαμN--GSF ἐπίP *ἰσραήλN--ASM καίC ποιέωVAI-AAI3P ἑαυτοῦRD-DPMRA-NPM υἱόςN2-NPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM ἀπόP πρόσωπονN2N-GSN *μαδιαμN--GSFRA-APF τρυμαλιάN1A-APFRA-APF ἐνPRA-DPN ὄροςN3E-DPN καίCRA-APN σπήλαιονN2N-APN καίCRA-APN κρεμαστόςA1-APN [2]And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.

[4]καίC παρα ἐνβάλλωVBI-AAI3P εἰςP αὐτόςRD-APM καίC καταφθείρωVAI-AAI3PRA-APM καρπόςN2-APM αὐτόςRD-GPM ἕωςP ἔρχομαιVB-AAN εἰςP *γάζαN1A-ASF καίC οὐD καταλείπωVBI-AAI3P ὑπόστασιςN3I-ASF ζωήN1-GSF ἐνPRA-DSF γῆN1-DSF *ἰσραήλN--GSM οὐδέC ἐνPRA-DPN ποίμνιονN2N-DPN ταῦροςN2-ASM καίC ὄνοςN2-ASM [4]And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.

[8]καίC ἐκ ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἀνήρN3-ASM προφήτηςN1M-ASM πρόςPRA-APM υἱόςN2-APM *ἰσραήλN--GSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSMRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM ἐγώRP-NS εἰμίV9-PAI1S ὅςRR-NSM ἀναἄγωVBI-AAI1S σύRP-AP ἐκP γῆN1-GSF *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF καίC ἐκἄγωVBI-AAI1S σύRP-AP ἐκP οἶκοςN2-GSM δουλείαN1A-GSF σύRP-GP [8]That the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;

[12]καίC ὁράωVVI-API3S αὐτόςRD-DSMRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-ASM κύριοςN2-NSM μετάP σύRP-GS ἰσχυρόςA1A-NSMRA-GPF δύναμιςN3I-GPF [12]And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

[14]καίC ἐπιστρέφωVAI-AAI3S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-ASMRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πορεύομαιV1-PMD2S ἐνP ἰσχύςN3U-DSF σύRP-GS οὗτοςRD-DSF καίC σώζωVF-FAI2SRA-ASM *ἰσραήλN--ASM ἐκP χείρN3-GSF *μαδιαμN--GSF ἰδούI ἐκ ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI1S σύRP-AS [14]And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
[15]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-ASM *γεδεωνN--NSM ἐνP ἐγώRP-DS κύριοςN2-VSM ἐγώRP-GS ἐνP τίςRI-DSN σώζωVF-FAI1SRA-ASM *ἰσραήλN--ASM ἰδούIRA-NSF χιλιάςN3D-NSF ἐγώRP-GS ἀσθενέωVAI-AAI3S ἐνP *μανασσήN--DSM καίC ἐγώRP-NS εἰμίV9-PAI1SRA-NSM μικρόςA1A-NSMC ἐνP οἶκοςN2-DSM πατήρN3-GSM ἐγώRP-GS [15]And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.
[16]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-ASMRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM κύριοςN2-NSM εἰμίVF-FMI3S μετάP σύRP-GS καίC πατάσσωVF-FAI2SRA-ASF *μαδιαμN--ASF ὡσείD ἀνήρN3-ASM εἷςA3-ASM [16]And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.
[17]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-ASM *γεδεωνN--NSM εἰX δέX εὑρίσκωVB-AAI1S ἔλεοςN3E-NSN ἐνP ὀφθαλμόςN2-DPM σύRP-GS καίC ποιέωVF-FAI2S ἐγώRP-DS σήμερονD πᾶςA3-ASN ὅςRR-ASN τιςRI-ASN λαλέωVAI-AAI2S μετάP ἐγώRP-GS [17]And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.
[18]μήD χωρίζωVS-APS2S ἐντεῦθενD ἕωςPRA-GSN ἔρχομαιVB-AAN ἐγώRP-AS πρόςP σύRP-AS καίC ἐκφέρωVF-FAI1SRA-ASF θυσίαN1A-ASF καίC τίθημιVF-FAI1S ἐνώπιονP σύRP-GS καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-NS εἰμίV9-PAI1S καθίομαιV1-PMI1S ἕωςPRA-GSN ἐπιστρέφωVA-AAN σύRP-AS [18]Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again.
[19]καίC *γεδεωνN--NSM εἰςἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S καίC ποιέωVAI-AAI3S ἔριφοςN2-ASM αἴξN3G-GPM καίC οιφιN--ASN ἄλευρονN2N-GSN ἄζυμοςA1B-APN καίCRA-APN κρέαςN3-APN τίθημιVAI-AAI3S ἐνPRA-DSM κόφινοςN2-DSM καίCRA-ASM ζωμόςN2-ASM βάλλωVBI-AAI3S ἐνPRA-DSF χύτραN1A-DSF καίC ἐκφέρωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-APN πρόςP αὐτόςRD-ASM ὑπόPRA-ASF τερεμίνθοςN2-ASF καίC προςἐγγίζωVAI-AAI3S [19]And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.
[20]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-ASMRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSMRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM λαμβάνωVB-AAD2SRA-APN κρέαςN3-APN καίCRA-APN ἄζυμοςA1B-APN καίC τίθημιVE-AAD2S πρόςPRA-ASF πέτραN1A-ASF ἐκεῖνοςRD-ASF καίCRA-ASM ζωμόςN2-ASM ἔχωV1-PMPAPN ἐκχέωV2-PAD2S καίC ποιέωVAI-AAI3S οὕτωςD [20]And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.
[21]καίC ἐκτείνωVAI-AAI3SRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSMRA-ASN ἄκροςA1A-ASNRA-GSF ῥάβδοςN2-GSFRA-GSF ἐνP χείρN3-DSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ἅπτομαιVAI-AMI3SRA-GPN κρέαςN3-GPN καίCRA-GPM ἄζυμοςA1B-GPM καίC ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI3S πῦρN3-NSN ἐκPRA-GSF πέτραN1A-GSF καίC καταἐσθίωVBI-AAI3SRA-APN κρέαςN3-APN καίCRA-APM ἄζυμοςA1B-APM καίCRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM πορεύομαιVCI-API3S ἀπόP ὀφθαλμόςN2-GPM αὐτόςRD-GSM [21]Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.
[22]καίC ὁράωVBI-AAI3S *γεδεωνN--NSM ὅτιC ἄγγελοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM οὗτοςRD-NSM εἰμίV9-PAI3S καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *γεδεωνN--NSMII κύριοςN2-VSM ἐγώRP-GS κύριοςN2-VSM ὅτιC ὁράωVBI-AAI1S ἄγγελοςN2-ASM κύριοςN2-GSM πρόσωπονN2N-ASN πρόςP πρόσωπονN2N-ASN [22]And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O LORD God! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.
[23]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM κύριοςN2-NSM εἰρήνηN1-NSF σύRP-DS μήD φοβέωV2-PMD2S οὐD μήD ἀποθνήσκωVB-AAS2S [23]And the LORD said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.
[24]καίC οἰκοδομέωVAI-AAI3S ἐκεῖD *γεδεωνN--NSM θυσιαστήριονN2N-ASNRA-DSM κύριοςN2-DSM καίC ἐπικαλέωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM εἰρήνηN1-NSF κύριοςN2-GSM ἕωςPRA-GSF ἡμέραN1A-GSF οὗτοςRD-GSF ἔτιD αὐτόςRD-GSM εἰμίV9-PAPGSM ἐνP *εφραθαN--DS πατήρN3-GSMRA-GSM *εσδριN--GSM [24]Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
[25]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S ἐνPRA-DSF νύξN3-DSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-DSF καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM κύριοςN2-NSM λαμβάνωVB-AAD2SRA-ASM μόσχοςN2-ASMRA-ASM ταῦροςN2-ASM ὅςRR-NSM εἰμίV9-PAI3SRA-DSM πατήρN3-DSM σύRP-GS καίC μόσχοςN2-ASM δεύτεροςA1A-ASM ἑπταετήςA3H-ASM καίC κατααἱρέωVF2-FAI2SRA-ASN θυσιαστήριονN2N-ASNRA-GSM *βααλN--GSM ὅςRR-ASN εἰμίV9-PAI3SRA-DSM πατήρN3-DSM σύRP-GS καίCRA-ASN ἄλσοςN3E-ASNRA-ASN ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-ASN ὀλεθρεύωVF-FAI2S [25]And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:
[26]καίC οἰκοδομέωVF-FAI2S θυσιαστήριονN2N-ASN κύριοςN2-DSMRA-DSM θεόςN2-DSM σύRP-GS ἐπίP κορυφήN1-ASFRA-GSM *μαουεκN--GSM οὗτοςRD-GSM ἐνPRA-DSF παράταξιςN3I-DSF καίC λαμβάνωVF-FMI2SRA-ASM μόσχοςN2-ASMRA-ASM δεύτεροςA1A-ASM καίC ἀναφέρωVF-FAI2S ὁλοκαύτωμαN3M-ASN ἐνPRA-DPN ξύλονN2N-DPNRA-GSN ἄλσοςN3E-GSN ὅςRR-GSM ἐκὀλεθρεύωVF-FAI2S [26]And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.
[27]καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S *γεδεωνN--NSM δέκαM ἀνήρN3-APM ἀπόPRA-GPM δοῦλοςN2-GPM ἑαυτοῦRD-GSM καίC ποιέωVAI-AAI3S ὅςRR-ASM τρόποςN2-ASM λαλέωVAI-AAI3S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-ASM κύριοςN2-NSM καίC γίγνομαιVCI-API3S ὡςC φοβέωVCI-API3SRA-ASM οἶκοςN2-ASMRA-GSM πατήρN3-GSM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίCRA-APM ἀνήρN3-APMRA-GSF πόλιςN3I-GSFRA-GSN ποιέωVA-AAN ἡμέραN1A-GSF καίC ποιέωVAI-AAI3S νύξN3-GSF [27]Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father's household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.
[28]καίC ὀρθρίζωVAI-AAI3PRA-NPM ἀνήρN3-NPMRA-GSF πόλιςN3I-GSFRA-ASN πρωΐD καίC ἰδούI κατααἱρέωV2I-IPI3SRA-NSN θυσιαστήριονN2N-NSNRA-GSM *βααλN--GSM καίCRA-NSN ἄλσοςN3E-NSNRA-NSN ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-DSM ὀλεθρεύωV1I-IPI3S καίC ὁράωVAI-AAI3PRA-ASM μόσχοςN2-ASMRA-ASM δεύτεροςA1A-ASM ὅςRR-ASM ἀναφέρωVAI-AAI3S ἐπίPRA-ASN θυσιαστήριονN2N-ASNRA-ASN οἰκοδομέωVM-XPPASN [28]And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.
[29]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ἀνήρN3-NSM πρόςPRA-ASM πλησίονD αὐτόςRD-GSM τίςRI-NSM ποιέωVAI-AAI3SRA-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN οὗτοςRD-ASN καίC ἐπιζητέωVAI-AAI3P καίC ἐρευνάωVAI-AAI3P καίC γιγνώσκωVZI-AAI3P ὅτιC *γεδεωνN--NSM υἱόςN2-NSM *ιωαςN--GSM ποιέωVAI-AAI3SRA-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN οὗτοςRD-ASN [29]And they said one to another, Who hath done this thing? And when they enquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash hath done this thing.
[30]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3PRA-NPM ἀνήρN3-NPMRA-GSF πόλιςN3I-GSF πρόςP *ιωαςN--ASM ἐκφέρωVAI-AAD2SRA-ASM υἱόςN2-ASM σύRP-GS καίC ἀποθνήσκωVB-AAD3S ὅτιC κατααἱρέωVBI-AAI3SRA-ASN θυσιαστήριονN2N-ASNRA-GSM *βααλN--GSM καίC ὅτιC ὀλεθρεύωVAI-AAI3SRA-ASN ἄλσοςN3E-ASNRA-ASN ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-DSM [30]Then the men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove that was by it.

[33]καίC πᾶςA1S-NSF *μαδιαμN--NSF καίC *αμαληκN--NSM καίC υἱόςN2-NPM ἀνατολήN1-GPF συνἄγωVQI-API3P ἐπίPRA-ASN αὐτόςRD-ASN καίC παρα ἐνβάλλωVBI-AAI3P ἐνP κοιλάςN3D-DSF *εζερεελN--GSM [33]Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east were gathered together, and went over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.
[34]καίC πνεῦμαN3M-NSN κύριοςN2-GSM ἐνδυναμόωVAI-AAI3SRA-ASM *γεδεωνN--ASM καίC σαλπίζωVAI-AAI3S ἐνP κερατίνηN1-DSF καίC φοβέωVCI-API3S *αβιεζερN--ASM ὀπίσωP αὐτόςRD-GSM [34]But the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezer was gathered after him.

[36]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *γεδεωνN--NSM πρόςPRA-ASM θεόςN2-ASM εἰX σύRP-NS σώζωV1-PAI2S ἐνP χείρN3-DSF ἐγώRP-GSRA-ASM *ἰσραήλN--ASM καθώςD λαλέωVAI-AAI2S [36]And Gideon said unto God, If thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said,
[37]ἰδούI ἐγώRP-NS τίθημιV7-PAI1SRA-ASM πόκοςN2-ASMRA-GSN ἔριονN2N-GSN ἐνPRA-DSF ἅλωνN3W-DSF ἐάνC δρόσοςN2-NSF γίγνομαιVB-AMS3S ἐπίPRA-ASM πόκοςN2-ASM μόνονD καίC ἐπίP πᾶςA1S-ASFRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF ξηρασίαN1A-NSF γιγνώσκωVF-FMI1S ὅτιC σώζωVF-FAI2S ἐνP χείρN3-DSF ἐγώRP-GSRA-ASM *ἰσραήλN--ASM καθώςD λαλέωVAI-AAI2S [37]Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.
[38]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S οὕτωςD καίC ὀρθρίζωVAI-AAI3SRA-DSF ἐπαύριονD καίC ἐκ ἐπιἰάομαιVAI-AAI3SRA-ASM πόκοςN2-ASM καίC στάζωVAI-AAI3S δρόσοςN2-NSF ἀπόPRA-GSM πόκοςN2-GSM πλήρηςA3H-NSF λεκάνηN1-NSF ὕδωρN3T-GSN [38]And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.
[39]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *γεδεωνN--NSM πρόςPRA-ASM θεόςN2-ASM μήD δήX ὀργίζωVS-APD3SRA-NSM θυμόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS ἐνP ἐγώRP-DS καίC λαλέωVF-FAI1S ἔτιD ἅπαξD πειράζωVF-FAI1S δέX καίC γέX ἔτιD ἅπαξD ἐνPRA-DSM πόκοςN2-DSM καίC γίγνομαιVB-AMD3SRA-NSF ξηρασίαN1A-NSF ἐπίPRA-ASM πόκοςN2-ASM μόνονD καίC ἐπίP πᾶςA1S-ASFRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF γίγνομαιVC-APD3S δρόσοςN2-NSF [39]And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.
[40]καίC ποιέωVAI-AAI3S οὕτωςDRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ἐνPRA-DSF νύξN3-DSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-DSF καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S ξηρασίαN1A-NSF ἐπίPRA-ASM πόκοςN2-ASM μόνονD καίC ἐπίP πᾶςA1S-ASFRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF γίγνομαιVCI-API3S δρόσοςN2-NSF [40]And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.
