| [1]τότε εἶπεν κύριος πρός με βάδισον καὶ κτῆσαι βῖκον πεπλασμένον ὀστράκινον καὶ ἄξεις ἀπὸ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων τῶν ἱερέων |
[1]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068, GoH1980[H8800] and getH7069[H8804] a potter'sH3335[H8802] earthenH2789 bottleH1228, and take of the ancientsH2205 of the peopleH5971, and of the ancientsH2205 of the priestsH3548; |
| [2]καὶ ἐξελεύσῃ εἰς τὸ πολυάνδριον υἱῶν τῶν τέκνων αὐτῶν ὅ ἐστιν ἐπὶ τῶν προθύρων πύλης τῆς χαρσιθ καὶ ἀνάγνωθι ἐκεῖ πάντας τοὺς λόγους οὓς ἂν λαλήσω πρὸς σέ |
[2]And go forthH3318[H8804] unto the valleyH1516 of the sonH1121 of HinnomH2011, which is by the entryH6607 of the eastH2777 gateH8179, and proclaimH7121[H8804] there the wordsH1697 that I shall tellH1696 theeH8762, |
| [3]καὶ ἐρεῖς αὐτοῖς ἀκούσατε τὸν λόγον κυρίου βασιλεῖς ιουδα καὶ ἄνδρες ιουδα καὶ οἱ κατοικοῦντες ιερουσαλημ καὶ οἱ εἰσπορευόμενοι ἐν ταῖς πύλαις ταύταις τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς ισραηλ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ἐπὶ τὸν τόπον τοῦτον κακὰ ὥστε παντὸς ἀκούοντος αὐτὰ ἠχήσει ἀμφότερα τὰ ὦτα αὐτοῦ |
[3]And sayH559[H8804], HearH8085[H8798] ye the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, O kingsH4428 of JudahH3063, and inhabitantsH3427[H8802] of JerusalemH3389; Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; Behold, I will bringH935[H8688] evilH7451 upon this placeH4725, the which whosoever hearethH8085[H8802], his earsH241 shall tingleH6750.[H8799] |
| [4]ἀνθ ὧν ἐγκατέλιπόν με καὶ ἀπηλλοτρίωσαν τὸν τόπον τοῦτον καὶ ἐθυμίασαν ἐν αὐτῷ θεοῖς ἀλλοτρίοις οἷς οὐκ ᾔδεισαν αὐτοὶ καὶ οἱ πατέρες αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ βασιλεῖς ιουδα ἔπλησαν τὸν τόπον τοῦτον αἱμάτων ἀθῴων |
[4]Because they have forsakenH5800[H8804] me, and have estrangedH5234[H8762] this placeH4725, and have burned incenseH6999[H8762] in it unto otherH312 godsH430, whom neither they nor their fathersH1 have knownH3045[H8804], nor the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063, and have filledH4390[H8804] this placeH4725 with the bloodH1818 of innocentsH5355; |
| [5]καὶ ᾠκοδόμησαν ὑψηλὰ τῇ βααλ τοῦ κατακαίειν τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτῶν ἐν πυρί ἃ οὐκ ἐνετειλάμην οὐδὲ ἐλάλησα οὐδὲ διενοήθην ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ μου |
[5]They have builtH1129[H8804] also the high placesH1116 of BaalH1168, to burnH8313[H8800] their sonsH1121 with fireH784 for burnt offeringsH5930 unto BaalH1168, which I commandedH6680[H8765] not, nor spakeH1696[H8765] it, neither cameH5927[H8804] it into my mindH3820: |
| [6]διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἡμέραι ἔρχονται λέγει κύριος καὶ οὐ κληθήσεται τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ ἔτι διάπτωσις καὶ πολυάνδριον υἱοῦ εννομ ἀλλ ἢ πολυάνδριον τῆς σφαγῆς |
[6]Therefore, behold, the daysH3117 comeH935[H8802], saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068, that this placeH4725 shall no more be calledH7121[H8735] TophetH8612, nor The valleyH1516 of the sonH1121 of HinnomH2011, but The valleyH1516 of slaughterH2028. |
| [7]καὶ σφάξω τὴν βουλὴν ιουδα καὶ τὴν βουλὴν ιερουσαλημ ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ καὶ καταβαλῶ αὐτοὺς ἐν μαχαίρᾳ ἐναντίον τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν χερσὶν τῶν ζητούντων τὰς ψυχὰς αὐτῶν καὶ δώσω τοὺς νεκροὺς αὐτῶν εἰς βρῶσιν τοῖς πετεινοῖς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ τοῖς θηρίοις τῆς γῆς |
[7]And I will make voidH1238[H8804] the counselH6098 of JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389 in this placeH4725; and I will cause them to fallH5307[H8689] by the swordH2719 beforeH6440 their enemiesH341[H8802], and by the handsH3027 of them that seekH1245[H8764] their livesH5315: and their carcasesH5038 will I giveH5414[H8804] to be meatH3978 for the fowlsH5775 of the heavenH8064, and for the beastsH929 of the earthH776. |
| [8]καὶ τάξω τὴν πόλιν ταύτην εἰς ἀφανισμὸν καὶ εἰς συριγμόν πᾶς ὁ παραπορευόμενος ἐπ αὐτῆς σκυθρωπάσει καὶ συριεῖ ὑπὲρ πάσης τῆς πληγῆς αὐτῆς |
[8]And I will makeH7760[H8804] this cityH5892 desolateH8047, and an hissingH8322; every one that passethH5674[H8802] thereby shall be astonishedH8074[H8799] and hissH8319[H8799] because of all the plagues thereofH4347. |
| [9]καὶ ἔδονται τὰς σάρκας τῶν υἱῶν αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς σάρκας τῶν θυγατέρων αὐτῶν καὶ ἕκαστος τὰς σάρκας τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ ἔδονται ἐν τῇ περιοχῇ καὶ ἐν τῇ πολιορκίᾳ ᾗ πολιορκήσουσιν αὐτοὺς οἱ ἐχθροὶ αὐτῶν |
[9]And I will cause them to eatH398[H8689] the fleshH1320 of their sonsH1121 and the fleshH1320 of their daughtersH1323, and they shall eatH398[H8799] every oneH376 the fleshH1320 of his friendH7453 in the siegeH4692 and straitnessH4689, wherewith their enemiesH341[H8802], and they that seekH1245[H8764] their livesH5315, shall straitenH6693 themH8686. |
| [10]καὶ συντρίψεις τὸν βῖκον κατ ὀφθαλμοὺς τῶν ἀνδρῶν τῶν ἐκπορευομένων μετὰ σοῦ |
[10]Then shalt thou breakH7665[H8804] the bottleH1228 in the sightH5869 of the menH582 that goH1980 with theeH8802, |
| [11]καὶ ἐρεῖς τάδε λέγει κύριος οὕτως συντρίψω τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον καὶ τὴν πόλιν ταύτην καθὼς συντρίβεται ἄγγος ὀστράκινον ὃ οὐ δυνήσεται ἰαθῆναι ἔτι |
[11]And shalt sayH559[H8804] unto them, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635; Even soH3602 will I breakH7665[H8799] this peopleH5971 and this cityH5892, as one breakethH7665[H8799] a potter'sH3335[H8802] vesselH3627, that cannotH3201[H8799] be made whole againH7495[H8736]: and they shall buryH6912[H8799] them in TophetH8612, till there be no placeH4725 to buryH6912.[H8800] |
| [12]οὕτως ποιήσω λέγει κύριος τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ καὶ τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν ἐν αὐτῷ τοῦ δοθῆναι τὴν πόλιν ταύτην ὡς τὴν διαπίπτουσαν |
[12]Thus will I doH6213[H8799] unto this placeH4725, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068, and to the inhabitantsH3427[H8802] thereof, and even makeH5414[H8800] this cityH5892 as TophetH8612: |
| [13]καὶ οἱ οἶκοι ιερουσαλημ καὶ οἱ οἶκοι βασιλέων ιουδα ἔσονται καθὼς ὁ τόπος ὁ διαπίπτων τῶν ἀκαθαρσιῶν ἐν πάσαις ταῖς οἰκίαις ἐν αἷς ἐθυμίασαν ἐπὶ τῶν δωμάτων αὐτῶν πάσῃ τῇ στρατιᾷ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἔσπεισαν σπονδὰς θεοῖς ἀλλοτρίοις |
[13]And the housesH1004 of JerusalemH3389, and the housesH1004 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063, shall be defiledH2931 as the placeH4725 of TophetH8612, because of all the housesH1004 upon whose roofsH1406 they have burned incenseH6999[H8765] unto all the hostH6635 of heavenH8064, and have poured outH5258[H8687] drink offeringsH5262 unto otherH312 godsH430. |
| [14]καὶ ἦλθεν ιερεμιας ἀπὸ τῆς διαπτώσεως οὗ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτὸν κύριος ἐκεῖ τοῦ προφητεῦσαι καὶ ἔστη ἐν τῇ αὐλῇ οἴκου κυρίου καὶ εἶπε πρὸς πάντα τὸν λαόν |
[14]Then cameH935[H8799] JeremiahH3414 from TophetH8612, whither the LORDH3068 had sentH7971[H8804] him to prophesyH5012[H8736]; and he stoodH5975[H8799] in the courtH2691 of the LORD'SH3068 houseH1004; and saidH559[H8799] to all the peopleH5971, |
| [15]τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπάγω ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν ταύτην καὶ ἐπὶ πάσας τὰς πόλεις αὐτῆς καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς κώμας αὐτῆς ἅπαντα τὰ κακά ἃ ἐλάλησα ἐπ αὐτήν ὅτι ἐσκλήρυναν τὸν τράχηλον αὐτῶν τοῦ μὴ εἰσακούειν τῶν λόγων μου |
[15]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; Behold, I will bringH935[H8688] upon this cityH5892 and upon all her townsH5892 all the evilH7451 that I have pronouncedH1696[H8765] against it, because they have hardenedH7185[H8689] their necksH6203, that they might not hearH8085[H8800] my wordsH1697. |
