[1]Thus saith the Lord; Go thou, and go down to the house of the king of Juda, and thou shalt speak there this word, |
| [2]καίC εἶπονVF2-FAI2S ἀκούωV1-PAD2S λόγοςN2-ASM κύριοςN2-GSM βασιλεύςN3V-VSM *ιουδαN--GSM ὁRA-NSM καταἧμαιV5-PMPNSM ἐπίP θρόνοςN2-GSM *δαυίδN--GSM σύRP-NS καίC ὁRA-NSM οἶκοςN2-NSM σύRP-GS καίC ὁRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS καίC ὁRA-NPM εἰςπορεύομαιV1-PMPNPM ὁRA-DPF πύληN1-DPF οὗτοςRD-DPF |
[2]and thou shalt say, Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Juda, that sittest on the throne of David, thou, and thy house, and thy people, and they that go in at these gates: |
| [3]ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ποιέωV2-PAD2P κρίσιςN3I-ASF καίC δικαιοσύνηN1-ASF καίC ἐκαἱρέωV2-PMI2P διαἁρπάζωVT-PPPASM ἐκP χείρN3-GSF ἀδικέωV2-PAPGSM αὐτόςRD-ASM καίC προσήλυτοςN2-ASM καίC ὀρφανόςA1-ASM καίC χήραN1A-ASF μήD καταδυναστεύωV1-PAD2P καίC μήD ἀσεβέωV2-PAD2P καίC αἷμαN3M-ASN ἀθῷοςA1-ASN μήD ἐκχέωV2-PAS2P ἐνP ὁRA-DSM τόποςN2-DSM οὗτοςRD-DSM |
[3]thus saith the Lord; Execute ye judgment and justice, and rescue the spoiled out of the hand of him that wrongs him: and oppress not the stranger, and orphan, and widow, and sin not, and shed no innocent blood in this place. |

[4]For if ye will indeed perform this word, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, and riding on chariots and horses, they, and their servants, and their people. |
| [5]ἐάνC δέX μήD ποιέωVA-AAS2P ὁRA-APM λόγοςN2-APM οὗτοςRD-APM κατάP ἐμαυτοῦRD-GSM ὄμνυμιVAI-AAI1S λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ὅτιC εἰςP ἐρήμωσιςN3I-ASF εἰμίVF-FMI3S ὁRA-NSM οἶκοςN2-NSM οὗτοςRD-NSM |
[5]But if ye will not perform these words, by myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, that this house shall be brought to desolation. |
| [6]ὅτιC ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM κατάP ὁRA-GSM οἶκοςN2-GSM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM *ιουδαN--GSM *γαλαάδN--NS σύRP-NS ἐγώRP-DS ἀρχήN1-NSF ὁRA-GSM *λίβανοςN2-GSM ἐάνC μήD τίθημιVE-AAS1S σύRP-AS εἰςP ἔρημοςN2-ASF πόλιςN3I-APF μήD καταοἰκέωVM-XPPAPF |
[6]For thus saith the Lord concerning the house of the king of Juda; Thou art Galaad to me, and the head of Libanus: yet surely I will make thee a desert, even cities that shall not be inhabited: |
| [7]καίC ἐπιἄγωVF-FAI1S ἐπίP σύRP-AS ἀνήρN3-ASM ὀλεθρεύωV1-PAPASM καίC ὁRA-ASM πέλεκυςN3U-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ἐκκόπτωVF-FAI3P ὁRA-APF ἐκλεκτόςA1-APF κέδροςN2-APF σύRP-GS καίC ἐνβάλλωVF2-FAI3P εἰςP ὁRA-ASN πῦρN3-ASN |
[7]and I will bring upon thee a destroying man, and his axe: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire. |
| [8]καίC διαἔρχομαιVF-FMI3P ἔθνοςN3E-NPN διάP ὁRA-GSF πόλιςN3I-GSF οὗτοςRD-GSF καίC εἶπονVF2-FAI3P ἕκαστοςA1-NSM πρόςP ὁRA-ASM πλησίονD αὐτόςRD-GSM διάP τίςRI-ASN ποιέωVAI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM οὕτωςD ὁRA-DSF πόλιςN3I-DSF ὁRA-DSF μέγαςA1-DSF οὗτοςRD-DSF |
[8]And nations shall pass through this city, and each shall say to his neighbour, Why has the Lord done thus to this great city? |
| [9]καίC εἶπονVF2-FAI3P ἀντίP ὅςRR-GPM ἐν καταλείπωVBI-AAI3P ὁRA-ASF διαθήκηN1-ASF κύριοςN2-GSM θεόςN2-GSM αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC προςκυνέωVAI-AAI3P θεόςN2-DPM ἀλλότριοςA1A-DPM καίC δουλεύωVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-DPM |
[9]And they shall say, Because they forsook the covenant of the Lord their God, and worshipped strange gods, and served them. |
| [10]μήD κλαίωV1-PAD2P ὁRA-ASM θνήσκωVX-XAPASM μηδέC θρηνέωV2-PAD2P αὐτόςRD-ASM κλαίωVA-AAD2P κλαυθμόςN2-DSM ὁRA-ASM ἐκπορεύομαιV1-PMPASM ὅτιC οὐD ἐπιστρέφωVF-FAI3S ἔτιD καίC οὐD μήD ὁράωVB-AAS3S ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF πατρίςN3D-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[10]Weep not for the dead, nor lament for him: weep bitterly for him that goes away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native land. |
| [11]διότιC ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἐπίP *σελλημN--ASM υἱόςN2-ASM *ιωσιαN--GSM ὁRA-ASM βασιλεύωV1-PAPASM ἀντίP *ιωσιαN--GSM ὁRA-GSM πατήρN3-GSM αὐτόςRD-GSM ὅςRR-NSM ἐκἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S ἐκP ὁRA-GSM τόποςN2-GSM οὗτοςRD-GSM οὐD ἀναστρέφωVF-FAI3S ἐκεῖD οὐκέτιD |
[11]For thus saith the Lord concerning Sellem the son of Josias, who reigns in the place of Josias his father, who has gone forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more: |
| [12]ἀλλάC ἤC ἐνP ὁRA-DSM τόποςN2-DSM οὗD μεταοἰκίζωVAI-AAI1S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐκεῖD ἀποθνήσκωVF2-FMI3S καίC ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF οὗτοςRD-ASF οὐD ὁράωVF-FMI3S ἔτιD |
[12]but in that place whither I have carried him captive, there shall he die, and shall see this land no more. |
| [13]ὦI ὁRA-NSM οἰκοδομέωV2-PAPNSM οἰκίαN1A-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM οὐD μετάP δικαιοσύνηN1-GSF καίC ὁRA-APN ὑπερῶονN2N-APN αὐτόςRD-GSM οὐD ἐνP κρίμαN3M-DSN παράP ὁRA-DSM πλησίονD αὐτόςRD-GSM ἐργάζομαιV1-PMI3S δωρεάN1A-ASF καίC ὁRA-ASM μισθόςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM οὐD μήD ἀποδίδωμιVF-FAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM |
[13]He that builds his house not with justice, and his upper chambers not with judgment, who works by means of his neighbour for nothing, and will by no means give him his reward. |
| [14]οἰκοδομέωVAI-AAI2S σεαυτοῦRD-DSM οἶκοςN2-ASM σύμμετροςA1B-ASM ὑπερῶονN2N-APN ῥιπιστόςA1-APN διαστέλλωVM-XPPAPN θυρίςN3D-DPF καίC ξυλόωVMI-XPPAPN ἐνP κέδροςN2-DSF καίC χρίωVT-XPPAPN ἐνP μίλτοςN2-DSF |
[14]Thou hast built for thyself a well-proportioned house, airy chambers, fitted with windows, and wainscoted with cedar, and painted with vermilion. |
| [15]μήD βασιλεύωVA-AAS2S ὅτιC σύRP-NS παραὀξύνωV1-PMI2S ἐνP *αχαζN--DS ὁRA-DSM πατήρN3-DSM σύRP-GS οὐD ἐσθίωVF-FMI3P καίC οὐD πίνωVF2-FMI3P βελτίωνA3C-NSN εἰμίV9-IAI3S σύRP-AS ποιέωV2-PAN κρίμαN3M-ASN καίC δικαιοσύνηN1-ASF καλόςA1-ASF |
[15]Shalt thou reign, because thou art provoked with thy father Achaz? they shall not eat, and they shall not drink: it is better for thee to execute judgment and justice. |
| [16]οὐD γιγνώσκωVZI-AAI3P οὐD κρίνωVAI-AAI3P κρίσιςN3I-ASF ταπεινόςA1-DSM οὐδέC κρίσιςN3I-ASF πένηςN3T-GSM οὐD οὗτοςRD-NSN εἰμίV9-PAI3S ὁRA-NSN μήD γιγνώσκωVZ-AAN σύRP-AS ἐγώRP-AS λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM |
[16]They understood not, they judged not the cause of the afflicted, nor the cause of the poor: is not this thy not knowing me? saith the Lord. |
| [17]ἰδούI οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3P ὁRA-NPM ὀφθαλμόςN2-NPM σύRP-GS οὐδέC ὁRA-NSF καρδίαN1A-NSF σύRP-GS καλόςA1-NSF ἀλλάC εἰςP ὁRA-ASF πλεονεξίαN1A-ASF σύRP-GS καίC εἰςP ὁRA-ASN αἷμαN3M-ASN ὁRA-ASN ἀθῷοςA1-ASN ὁRA-GSN ἐκχέωV2-PAN αὐτόςRD-ASN καίC εἰςP ἀδίκημαN3M-ASN καίC εἰςP φόνοςN2-ASM ὁRA-GSN ποιέωV2-PAN |
[17]Behold, thine eyes are not good, nor thine heart, but they go after thy covetousness, and after the innocent blood to shed it, and after acts of injustice and slaughter, to commit them. |
| [18]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἐπίP *ιωακιμN--ASM υἱόςN2-ASM *ιωσιαN--GSM βασιλεύςN3V-ASM *ιουδαN--GSM οὐαίI ἐπίP ὁRA-ASM ἀνήρN3-ASM οὗτοςRD-ASM οὐD μήD κόπτωVA-AMS3P αὐτόςRD-ASM ὦI ἀδελφόςN2-VSM οὐδέC μήD κλαίωVF-FMI3P αὐτόςRD-ASM οἴμμοιI κύριοςN2-VSM |
[18]Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning Joakim son of Josias, king of Juda, even concerning this man; they shall not bewail him, saying, Ah brother! neither shall they at all weep for him, saying, Alas Lord. |
| [19]ταφήN1-ASF ὄνοςN2-GSM θάπτωVD-FPI3S συνψάωVC-APPNSM ῥίπτωVD-FPI3S ἐπέκειναD ὁRA-GSF πύληN1-GSF *ἰερουσαλήμN--GSF |
[19]He shall be buried with the burial of an ass; he shall be dragged roughly along and cast outside the gate of Jerusalem. |
| [20]ἀναβαίνωVZ-AAD2S εἰςP ὁRA-ASM *λίβανοςN2-ASM καίC κράζωVX-XAD2S καίC εἰςP ὁRA-ASF *βασανN--ASF δίδωμιVO-AAD2S ὁRA-ASF φωνήN1-ASF σύRP-GS καίC βοάωVA-AAD2S εἰςP ὁRA-ASN πέρανD ὁRA-GSF θάλασσαN1S-GSF ὅτιC συντρίβωVDI-API3P πᾶςA3-NPM ὁRA-NPM ἐραστήςN1M-NPM σύRP-GS |
[20]Go up to Libanus, and cry; and utter thy voice to Basan, and cry aloud to the extremity of the sea: for all thy lovers are destroyed. |
| [21]λαλέωVAI-AAI1S πρόςP σύRP-AS ἐνP ὁRA-DSF παράπτωσιςN3I-DSF σύRP-GS καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI2S οὐD ἀκούωVF-FMI1S οὗτοςRD-NSF ὁRA-NSF ὁδόςN2-NSF σύRP-GS ἐκP νεότηςN3T-GSF σύRP-GS οὐD ἀκούωVAI-AAI2S ὁRA-GSF φωνήN1-GSF ἐγώRP-GS |
[21]I spoke to thee on occasion of thy trespass, but thou saidst, I will not hearken. This has been thy way from thy youth, thou hast not hearkened to my voice. |
| [22]πᾶςA3-APM ὁRA-APM ποιμήνN3-APM σύRP-GS ποιμαίνωVF2-FAI3S ἄνεμοςN2-NSM καίC ὁRA-NPM ἐραστήςN1M-NPM σύRP-GS ἐνP αἰχμαλωσίαN1A-DSF ἐκἔρχομαιVF-FMI3P ὅτιC τότεD αἰσχύνωVC-FPI2S καίC ἀτιμόωVC-FPI2S ἀπόP πᾶςA3-GPM ὁRA-GPM φιλέωV2-PAPGPM σύRP-AS |
[22]The wind shall tend all thy shepherds, and thy lovers shall go into captivity; for then shalt thou be ashamed and disgraced because of all thy lovers. |
| [23]καταοἰκέωV2-PAPNSF ἐνP ὁRA-DSM *λίβανοςN2-DSM ἐννοσσεύωV1-PAPNSF ἐνP ὁRA-DPF κέδροςN2-DPF καταστενάζωVF-FAI2S ἐνP ὁRA-DSN ἔρχομαιVB-AAN σύRP-DS ὠδίνN3-GSF ὡςC τίκτωV1-PAPGSF |
[23]O thou that dwellest in Libanus, making thy nest in the cedars, thou shalt groan heavily, when pangs as of a travailing woman are come upon thee. |

[24]As I live, saith the Lord, though Jechonias son of Joakim king of Juda were indeed the seal upon my right hand, thence would I pluck thee; |
| [25]καίC παραδίδωμιVF-FAI1S σύRP-AS εἰςP χείρN3-APF ὁRA-GPM ζητέωV2-PAPGPM ὁRA-ASF ψυχήN1-ASF σύRP-GS ὅςRR-GPM σύRP-NS εὐλαβέομαιV2-PMI2S ἀπόP πρόσωπονN2N-GSN αὐτόςRD-GPM εἰςP χείρN3-APF ὁRA-GPM *χαλδαῖοςN2-GPM |
[25]and I will deliver thee into the hands of them that seek thy life, before whom thou art afraid, into the hands of the Chaldeans. |

[26]And I will cast forth thee, and thy mother that bore thee, into a land where thou wast not born; and there ye shall die. |
| [27]εἰςP δέX ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF ὅςRR-ASF αὐτόςRD-NPM εὔχομαιV1-PMI3P ὁRA-DPF ψυχήN1-DPF αὐτόςRD-GPM οὐD μήD ἀποστρέφωVA-AAS3P |
[27]But they shall by no means return to the land which they long for in their souls. |
| [28]ἀτιμόωVCI-API3S *ιεχονιαςN1T-NSM ὡςC σκεῦοςN3E-NSN ὅςRR-GSM οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S χρείαN1A-NSF αὐτόςRD-GSM ὅτιC ἐκῥίπτωVVI-API3S καίC ἐκβάλλωVCI-API3S εἰςP γῆN1-ASF ὅςRR-ASF οὐD οἶδαVXI-YAI3S |
[28]Jechonias is dishonoured as a good-for-nothing vessel; for he is thrown out and cast forth into a land which he knew not. |

[29]Land, land, hear the word of the Lord. |

[30]Write ye this man an outcast: for there shall none of his seed at all grow up to sit on the throne of David, or as a prince yet in Juda. |
