[1]In the beginningH7225 of the reignH4467 of JehoiakimH3079 the sonH1121 of JosiahH2977 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 came this wordH1697 unto JeremiahH3414 from the LORDH3068, sayingH559,[H8800] |
| [2]כה אמר יהוה אלי עשה לך מוסרות ומטות ונתתם על צוארך |
[2]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 to me; MakeH6213[H8798] thee bondsH4147 and yokesH4133, and putH5414[H8804] them upon thy neckH6677, |
| [3]ושלחתם אל מלך אדום ואל מלך מואב ואל מלך בני עמון ואל מלך צר ואל מלך צידון־ביד מלאכים הבאים ירושלם אל צדקיהו מלך יהודה |
[3]And sendH7971[H8765] them to the kingH4428 of EdomH123, and to the kingH4428 of MoabH4124, and to the kingH4428 of the AmmonitesH1121[H5983], and to the kingH4428 of TyrusH6865, and to the kingH4428 of ZidonH6721, by the handH3027 of the messengersH4397 which comeH935[H8802] to JerusalemH3389 unto ZedekiahH6667 kingH4428 of JudahH3063; |
| [4]וצוית אתם אל אדניהם לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל כה תאמרו אל אדניכם |
[4]And commandH6680[H8765] them to sayH559[H8800] unto their mastersH113, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; Thus shall ye sayH559[H8799] unto your mastersH113; |
| [5]אנכי עשיתי את הארץ את האדם ואת הבהמה אשר על פני הארץ בכחי הגדול ובזרועי הנטויה ונתתיה לאשר ישר בעיני |
[5]I have madeH6213[H8804] the earthH776, the manH120 and the beastH929 that are uponH6440 the groundH776, by my greatH1419 powerH3581 and by my outstretchedH5186[H8803] armH2220, and have givenH5414[H8804] it unto whom it seemedH5869 meetH3474 unto meH8804. |
| [6]ועתה אנכי נתתי את כל הארצות האלה ביד נבוכדנאצר מלך בבל עבדי וגם את חית השדה נתתי לו לעבדו |
[6]And now have I givenH5414[H8804] all these landsH776 into the handH3027 of NebuchadnezzarH5019 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, my servantH5650; and the beastsH2416 of the fieldH7704 have I givenH5414[H8804] him also to serveH5647 himH8800. |
| [7]ועבדו אתו כל הגוים ואת בנו ואת בן בנו־עד בא עת ארצו גם הוא ועבדו בו גוים רבים ומלכים גדלים |
[7]And all nationsH1471 shall serveH5647[H8804] him, and his sonH1121, and his son'sH1121 sonH1121, until the very timeH6256 of his landH776 comeH935[H8800]: and then manyH7227 nationsH1471 and greatH1419 kingsH4428 shall serveH5647 themselves of himH8804. |
| [8]והיה הגוי והממלכה אשר לא יעבדו אתו את נבוכדנאצר מלך בבל ואת אשר לא יתן את צוארו בעל מלך בבל־בחרב וברעב ובדבר אפקד על הגוי ההוא נאם יהוה עד תמי אתם בידו |
[8]And it shall come to pass, that the nationH1471 and kingdomH4467 which will not serveH5647[H8799] the same NebuchadnezzarH5019 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and that will not putH5414[H8799] their neckH6677 under the yokeH5923 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, that nationH1471 will I punishH6485[H8799], saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068, with the swordH2719, and with the famineH7458, and with the pestilenceH1698, until I have consumedH8552[H8800] them by his handH3027. |
| [9]ואתם אל תשמעו אל נביאיכם ואל קסמיכם ואל חלמתיכם ואל ענניכם ואל כשפיכם־אשר הם אמרים אליכם לאמר לא תעבדו את מלך בבל |
[9]Therefore hearkenH8085[H8799] not ye to your prophetsH5030, nor to your divinersH7080[H8802], nor to your dreamersH2472, nor to your enchantersH6049[H8781], nor to your sorcerersH3786, which speakH559[H8802] unto you, sayingH559[H8800], Ye shall not serveH5647[H8799] the kingH4428 of BabylonH894: |
| [10]כי שקר הם נבאים לכם למען הרחיק אתכם מעל אדמתכם והדחתי אתכם ואבדתם |
[10]For they prophesyH5012[H8737] a lieH8267 unto you, to remove you farH7368[H8687] from your landH127; and that I should drive you outH5080[H8689], and ye should perishH6.[H8804] |
| [11]והגוי אשר יביא את צוארו בעל מלך בבל־ועבדו והנחתיו על אדמתו נאם יהוה ועבדה וישב בה |
[11]But the nationsH1471 that bringH935[H8686] their neckH6677 under the yokeH5923 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and serveH5647[H8804] him, those will I let remain stillH3240[H8689] in their own landH127, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068; and they shall tillH5647[H8804] it, and dwellH3427 thereinH8804. |
| [12]ואל צדקיה מלך יהודה דברתי ככל הדברים האלה לאמר הביאו את צואריכם בעל מלך בבל ועבדו אתו ועמו־וחיו |
[12]I spakeH1696[H8765] also to ZedekiahH6667 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 according to all these wordsH1697, sayingH559[H8800], BringH935[H8685] your necksH6677 under the yokeH5923 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and serveH5647[H8798] him and his peopleH5971, and liveH2421.[H8798] |
| [13]למה תמותו אתה ועמך בחרב ברעב ובדבר־כאשר דבר יהוה אל הגוי אשר לא יעבד את מלך בבל |
[13]Why will ye dieH4191[H8799], thou and thy peopleH5971, by the swordH2719, by the famineH7458, and by the pestilenceH1698, as the LORDH3068 hath spokenH1696[H8765] against the nationH1471 that will not serveH5647[H8799] the kingH4428 of BabylonH894? |
| [14]ואל תשמעו אל דברי הנבאים האמרים אליכם לאמר לא תעבדו את מלך בבל כי שקר הם נבאים לכם |
[14]Therefore hearkenH8085[H8799] not unto the wordsH1697 of the prophetsH5030 that speakH559[H8802] unto you, sayingH559[H8800], Ye shall not serveH5647[H8799] the kingH4428 of BabylonH894: for they prophesyH5012[H8737] a lie unto youH8267. |
| [15]כי לא שלחתים נאם יהוה והם נבאים בשמי לשקר למען הדיחי אתכם ואבדתם־אתם והנבאים הנבאים לכם |
[15]For I have not sentH7971[H8804] them, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068, yet they prophesyH5012[H8737] a lieH8267 in my nameH8034; that I might drive you outH5080[H8687], and that ye might perishH6[H8804], ye, and the prophetsH5030 that prophesyH5012 unto youH8737. |
| [16]ואל הכהנים ואל כל העם הזה דברתי לאמר כה אמר יהוה אל תשמעו אל דברי נביאיכם הנבאים לכם לאמר הנה כלי בית יהוה מושבים מבבלה עתה מהרה כי שקר המה נבאים לכם |
[16]Also I spakeH1696[H8765] to the priestsH3548 and to all this peopleH5971, sayingH559[H8800], Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068; HearkenH8085[H8799] not to the wordsH1697 of your prophetsH5030 that prophesyH5012[H8737] unto you, sayingH559[H8800], Behold, the vesselsH3627 of the LORD'SH3068 houseH1004 shall now shortlyH4120 be brought againH7725[H8716] from BabylonH894: for they prophesyH5012[H8737] a lie unto youH8267. |
| [17]אל תשמעו אליהם עבדו את מלך בבל וחיו למה תהיה העיר הזאת חרבה |
[17]HearkenH8085[H8799] not unto them; serveH5647[H8798] the kingH4428 of BabylonH894, and liveH2421[H8798]: wherefore should this cityH5892 be laid wasteH2723? |
| [18]ואם נבאים הם ואם יש דבר יהוה אתם־יפגעו נא ביהוה צבאות לבלתי באו הכלים הנותרים בבית יהוה ובית מלך יהודה ובירושלם בבלה |
[18]But if they be prophetsH5030, and if the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 beH3426 with them, let them now make intercessionH6293[H8799] to the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, that the vesselsH3627 which are leftH3498[H8737] in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and in the houseH1004 of the kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and at JerusalemH3389, goH935[H8804] not to BabylonH894. |
| [19]כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אל העמדים ועל הים ועל המכנות־ועל יתר הכלים הנותרים בעיר הזאת |
[19]For thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 concerning the pillarsH5982, and concerning the seaH3220, and concerning the basesH4350, and concerning the residueH3499 of the vesselsH3627 that remainH3498[H8737] in this cityH5892, |
| [20]אשר לא לקחם נבוכדנאצר מלך בבל בגלותו את יכוניה [Q: יכניה] בן יהויקים מלך יהודה מירושלם בבלה ואת כל חרי יהודה וירושלם |
[20]Which NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894 tookH3947[H8804] not, when he carried away captiveH1540[H8687] JeconiahH3204 the sonH1121 of JehoiakimH3079 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 from JerusalemH3389 to BabylonH894, and all the noblesH2715 of JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389; |
| [21]כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל־על הכלים הנותרים בית יהוה ובית מלך יהודה וירושלם |
[21]Yea, thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, concerning the vesselsH3627 that remainH3498[H8737] in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and in the houseH1004 of the kingH4428 of JudahH3063 and of JerusalemH3389; |
| [22]בבלה יובאו ושמה יהיו־עד יום פקדי אתם נאם יהוה והעליתים והשיבתים אל המקום הזה |
[22]They shall be carriedH935[H8714] to BabylonH894, and there shall they be until the dayH3117 that I visitH6485[H8800] them, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068; then will I bringH5927[H8689] them up, and restoreH7725[H8689] them to this placeH4725. |
