[1]Then all the captains of the host, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least unto the most came, |
| [2]βαδίζωVA-AAD2S εἰςP οἶκοςN2-ASM *αρχαβινN--GSM καίC ἄγωVF-FAI2S αὐτόςRD-APM εἰςP οἶκοςN2-ASM κύριοςN2-GSM εἰςP εἷςA1A-ASF ὁRA-GPM αὐλόςN2-GPM καίC ποτίζωVF-FAI2S αὐτόςRD-APM οἶνοςN2-ASM |
[2]And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Hear our prayer, we beseech thee, and pray for us unto the Lord thy God, even for all this remnant (for we are left , but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold) |
| [3]καίC ἐκἄγωVBI-AAI3P ὁRA-ASM *ιεζονιαςN1T-ASM υἱόςN2-ASM *ιερεμινN1-GSM υἱόςN2-GSM *χαβασινN--GSM καίC ὁRA-APM ἀδελφόςN2-APM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ὁRA-APM υἱόςN2-APM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC πᾶςA1S-ASF ὁRA-ASF οἰκίαN1A-ASF *αρχαβινN--GSM |
[3]That the Lord thy God may show us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do. |
| [4]καίC εἰςἄγωVBI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-APM εἰςP οἶκοςN2-ASM κύριοςN2-GSM εἰςP ὁRA-ASN παστοφόριονN2N-ASN υἱόςN2-GPM *ανανιαςN1T-GSM υἱόςN2-GSM *γοδολιοςN--GSM ἄνθρωποςN2-GSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM ὅςRR-NSM εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐγγύςD ὁRA-GSM οἶκοςN2-GSM ὁRA-GPM ἄρχωνN3-GPM ὁRA-GPM ἐπάνωP ὁRA-GSM οἶκοςN2-GSM *μαασαιαςN1T-GSM υἱόςN2-GSM *σελωμN--GSM ὁRA-GSM φυλάσσωV1-PAPGSM ὁRA-ASF αὐλήN1-ASF |
[4]Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you: behold, I will pray unto the Lord your God according to your words, and whatsoever thing the Lord shall answer you, I will declare it unto you: I will keep nothing back from you. |

[5]Then they said to Jeremiah, The Lord be a witness of truth, and faith between us, if we do not, even according to all things for the which the Lord thy God shall send thee to us. |
| [6]καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI3P οὐD μήD πίνωVB-AAS1P οἶνοςN2-ASM ὅτιC *ιωναδαβN--NSM υἱόςN2-NSM *ρηχαβN--GSM ὁRA-NSM πατήρN3-NSM ἐγώRP-GP ἐντέλλομαιVAI-AMI3S ἐγώRP-DP λέγωV1-PAPNSM οὐD μήD πίνωVB-AAS2P οἶνοςN2-ASM σύRP-NP καίC ὁRA-NPM υἱόςN2-NPM σύRP-GP ἕωςP αἰώνN3W-GSM |
[6]Whether it be good or evil, we will obey the voice of the Lord God, to whom we send thee that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the Lord our God. |
| [7]καίC οἰκίαN1A-ASF οὐD μήD οἰκοδομέωVA-AAS2P καίC σπέρμαN3M-ASN οὐD μήD σπείρωVA-AAS2P καίC ἀμπελώνN3W-NSM οὐD εἰμίVF-FMI3S σύRP-DP ὅτιC ἐνP σκηνήN1-DPF οἰκέωVF-FAI2P πᾶςA1S-APF ὁRA-APF ἡμέραN1A-APF σύRP-GP ὅπωςC ἄνX ζάωVA-AAS2P ἡμέραN1A-APF πολύςA1-APF ἐπίP ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ἐπίP ὅςRR-GSF διατρίβωV1-PAI2P σύRP-NP ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-GSF |
[7]And so after ten days came the word of the Lord not Jeremiah. |
| [8]καίC ἀκούωVAI-AAI1P ὁRA-GSF φωνήN1-GSF *ιωναδαβN--GSM ὁRA-GSM πατήρN3-GSM ἐγώRP-GP πρόςP ὁRA-ASN μήD πίνωVB-AAN οἶνοςN2-ASM πᾶςA1S-APF ὁRA-APF ἡμέραN1A-APF ἐγώRP-GP ἐγώRP-NP καίC ὁRA-NPF γυνήN3K-NPF ἐγώRP-GP καίC ὁRA-NPM υἱόςN2-NPM ἐγώRP-GP καίC ὁRA-NPF θυγάτηρN3-NPF ἐγώRP-GP |
[8]Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the host, which were with him, and all the people from the least to the most, |
| [9]καίC πρόςP ὁRA-ASN μήD οἰκοδομέωV2-PAN οἰκίαN1A-GSF ὁRA-GSN καταοἰκέωV2-PAN ἐκεῖD καίC ἀμπελώνN3W-NSM καίC ἀγρόςN2-NSM καίC σπέρμαN3M-NSN οὐD γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S ἐγώRP-DP |
[9]And said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, unto whom ye sent me to present your prayers before him, |
| [10]καίC οἰκέωVAI-AAI1P ἐνP σκηνήN1-DPF καίC ἀκούωVAI-AAI1P καίC ποιέωVAI-AAI1P κατάP πᾶςA3-APN ὅςRR-APN ἐντέλλομαιVAI-AMI3S ἐγώRP-DP *ιωναδαβN--NSM ὁRA-NSM πατήρN3-NSM ἐγώRP-GP |
[10]If ye will dwell in this land, then I will build you, and not destroy you, and I will plant you, and not root you out: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you. |
| [11]καίC γίγνομαιVCI-API3S ὅτεD ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI3S *ναβουχοδονοσορN--NSM ἐπίP ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI1P εἰςἔρχομαιVB-AAD2P καίC εἰςἔρχομαιVB-AAS1P εἰςP *ἰερουσαλήμN--ASF ἀπόP πρόσωπονN2N-GSN ὁRA-GSF δύναμιςN3I-GSF ὁRA-GPM *χαλδαῖοςN2-GPM καίC ἀπόP πρόσωπονN2N-GSN ὁRA-GSF δύναμιςN3I-GSF ὁRA-GPM *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPM καίC οἰκέωV2I-IAI1P ἐκεῖD |
[11]Fear not for the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid: be not afraid of him, saith the Lord: for I am with you, to save you, and to deliver you from his hand, |
| [12]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S λόγοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS λέγωV1-PAPNSM |
[12]And I will grant you mercy that he may have compassion upon you, and he shall cause you to dwell in your own land. |
| [13]οὕτωςD λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM πορεύομαιV1-PMD2S καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3P ἄνθρωποςN2-DSM *ιουδαN--GSM καίC ὁRA-DPM καταοἰκέωV2-PAPDPM *ἰερουσαλήμN--ASF οὐD μήD λαμβάνωVB-AAS2P παιδείαN1A-ASF ὁRA-GSN ἀκούωV1-PAN ὁRA-APM λόγοςN2-APM ἐγώRP-GS |
[13]But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither hear the voice of the Lord your God, |
| [14]ἵστημιVHI-AAI3P ῥῆμαN3M-ASN υἱόςN2-NPM *ιωναδαβN--GSM υἱόςN2-GSM *ρηχαβN--GSM ὅςRR-NSN ἐντέλλομαιVAI-AMI3S ὁRA-DPN τέκνονN2N-DPN αὐτόςRD-GSM πρόςP ὁRA-ASN μήD πίνωVB-AAN οἶνοςN2-ASM καίC οὐD πίνωVBI-AAI3P καίC ἐγώRP-NS λαλέωVAI-AAI1S πρόςP σύRP-AP ὄρθροςN2-GSM καίC λαλέωVAI-AAI1S καίC οὐD ἀκούωVAI-AAI2P |
[14]Saying, Nay, but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread, and there will we dwell, |
| [15]καίC ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI1S πρόςP σύRP-AP ὁRA-APM παῖςN3D-APM ἐγώRP-GS ὁRA-APM προφήτηςN1M-APM λέγωV1-PAPNSM ἀποστρέφωVA-AAD2P ἕκαστοςA1-NSM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF ὁδόςN2-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM ὁRA-GSF πονηρόςA1A-GSF καίC βελτίωνA3C-ASM ποιέωVA-AAD2P ὁRA-APN ἐπιτήδευμαN3M-APN σύRP-GP καίC οὐD πορεύομαιVF-FMI2P ὀπίσωD θεόςN2-GPM ἕτεροςA1A-GPM ὁRA-GSN δουλεύωV1-PAN αὐτόςRD-DPM καίC οἰκέωVF-FAI2P ἐπίP ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ὅςRR-GSF δίδωμιVAI-AAI1S σύRP-DP καίC ὁRA-DPM πατήρN3-DPM σύRP-GP καίC οὐD κλίνωVAI-AAI2P ὁRA-APN οὖςN3T-APN σύRP-GP καίC οὐD ἀκούωVAI-AAI2P |
[15](And now therefore hear the word of the Lord, ye remnant of Judah: thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel, If ye set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to dwell there) |
| [16]καίC ἵστημιVHI-AAI3P υἱόςN2-NPM *ιωναδαβN--GSM υἱόςN2-GSM *ρηχαβN--GSM ὁRA-ASF ἐντολήN1-ASF ὁRA-GSM πατήρN3-GSM αὐτόςRD-GPM ὁRA-NSM δέX λαόςN2-NSM οὗτοςRD-NSM οὐD ἀκούωVAI-AAI3P ἐγώRP-GS |
[16]Then the sword that ye feared, shall take you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, for the which ye care, shall there hang upon you in Egypt, and there shall ye die. |
| [17]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN οὕτωςD εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἰδούI ἐγώRP-NS φέρωV1-PAI1S ἐπίP *ἰούδαςN1T-ASM καίC ἐπίP ὁRA-APM καταοἰκέωV2-PAPAPM *ἰερουσαλήμN--ASF πᾶςA3-APN ὁRA-APN κακόςA1-APN ὅςRR-APN λαλέωVAI-AAI1S ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-APM |
[17]And all the men that set their faces to enter into Egypt to dwell there, shall die by the sword, by the famine and by the pestilence, and none of them shall remain nor escape from the plague, that I will bring upon them. |
| [18]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN οὕτωςD εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἐπειδήC ἀκούωVAI-AAI3P υἱόςN2-NPM *ιωναδαβN--GSM υἱόςN2-GSM *ρηχαβN--GSM ὁRA-ASF ἐντολήN1-ASF ὁRA-GSM πατήρN3-GSM αὐτόςRD-GPM ποιέωV2-PAN καθότιD ἐντέλλομαιVAI-AMI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM ὁRA-NSM πατήρN3-NSM αὐτόςRD-GPM |
[18]For thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel, As mine anger and my wrath hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem: so shall my wrath be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt, and ye shall be a detestation, and an astonishment, and a curse and a reproach, and ye shall see this place no more. |
| [19]οὐD μήD ἐκλείπωVB-AAS3S ἀνήρN3-NSM ὁRA-GPM υἱόςN2-GPM *ιωναδαβN--GSM υἱόςN2-GSM *ρηχαβN--GSM παραἵστημιVXI-XAPNSM κατάP πρόσωπονN2N-ASN ἐγώRP-GS πᾶςA1S-APF ὁRA-APF ἡμέραN1A-APF ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF |
[19]O ye remnant of Judah, the Lord hath said concerning you, Go not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this day. |

[20]Surely ye dissembled in your hearts When ye sent me unto the Lord your God, saying, Pray for us unto the Lord our God, and declare unto us even according unto all that the Lord our God shall say, and we will do it. |

[21]Therefore I have this day declared it you, but you have not obeyed the voice of the Lord your God, nor anything for the which he hath sent me unto you. |

[22]Now therefore, know certainly that ye shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go and dwell. |
