| [1]Before but the feast of Passover known had Ieshu that had arrived the hour that He would depart from this world to His Father and He loved His own who are in this world and until the end He loved them |
[1]πρὸ δὲ τῆς ἑορτῆς τοῦ πάσχα εἰδὼς ὁ ἰησοῦς ὅτι ἦλθεν αὐτοῦ ἡ ὥρα ἵνα μεταβῇ ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου τούτου πρὸς τὸν πατέρα, ἀγαπήσας τοὺς ἰδίους τοὺς ἐν τῶ κόσμῳ, εἰς τέλος ἠγάπησεν αὐτούς. |
| [2]And when it was supper cast He ? Satan into the heart of Yehudah son of Shimeon Scariota so that he would betray Him |
[2]καὶ δείπνου γινομένου, τοῦ διαβόλου ἤδη βεβληκότος εἰς τὴν καρδίαν ἵνα παραδοῖ αὐτὸν ἰούδας σίμωνος ἰσκαριώτου, |
| [3]Himself but Ieshu because knew He every thing had given The Father into His hands and that from Alaha He had gone out and unto Alaha He would depart |
[3]εἰδὼς ὅτι πάντα ἔδωκεν αὐτῶ ὁ πατὴρ εἰς τὰς χεῖρας καὶ ὅτι ἀπὸ θεοῦ ἐξῆλθεν καὶ πρὸς τὸν θεὸν ὑπάγει, |
| [4]Arose from supper and put off His robe and took up a towel tied around His waist |
[4]ἐγείρεται ἐκ τοῦ δείπνου καὶ τίθησιν τὰ ἱμάτια, καὶ λαβὼν λέντιον διέζωσεν ἑαυτόν. |
| [5]And He took water in a wash basin and began to wash the feet of his disciples and wiped He with the towel that He had tied around His waist |
[5]εἶτα βάλλει ὕδωρ εἰς τὸν νιπτῆρα καὶ ἤρξατο νίπτειν τοὺς πόδας τῶν μαθητῶν καὶ ἐκμάσσειν τῶ λεντίῳ ᾧ ἦν διεζωσμένος. |
| [6]When but He came to Shimeon Kaypha said to Him Shimeon are? my Lord My feet washing you for me |
[6]ἔρχεται οὗν πρὸς σίμωνα πέτρον. λέγει αὐτῶ, κύριε, σύ μου νίπτεις τοὺς πόδας; |
| [7]Answered Ieshu and said to him the thing that do I you not know do now after this but you will know |
[7]ἀπεκρίθη ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῶ, ὃ ἐγὼ ποιῶ σὺ οὐκ οἶδας ἄρτι, γνώσῃ δὲ μετὰ ταῦτα. |
| [8]Said to Him Shimeon Kaypha to eternity not do wash you for me my feet said to him Ieshu if not do wash I you there is not for you with Me a part |
[8]λέγει αὐτῶ πέτρος, οὐ μὴ νίψῃς μου τοὺς πόδας εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα. ἀπεκρίθη ἰησοῦς αὐτῶ, ἐὰν μὴ νίψω σε, οὐκ ἔχεις μέρος μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ. |
| [9]Said to him Shimeon Kaypha therefore my Lord not only my feet wash for me but also my hands and my head |
[9]λέγει αὐτῶ σίμων πέτρος, κύριε, μὴ τοὺς πόδας μου μόνον ἀλλὰ καὶ τὰς χεῖρας καὶ τὴν κεφαλήν. |
| [10]Said to him Ieshu he who has bathed not needs except his feet only to wash wholly for clean he is also you you entirely clean are but not all of you |
[10]λέγει αὐτῶ ὁ ἰησοῦς, ὁ λελουμένος οὐκ ἔχει χρείαν εἰ μὴ τοὺς πόδας νίψασθαι, ἀλλ᾽ ἔστιν καθαρὸς ὅλος· καὶ ὑμεῖς καθαροί ἐστε, ἀλλ᾽ οὐχὶ πάντες. |
| [11]Known had for Ieshu him who would betray him because of this He said that not were all of you clean you |
[11]ᾔδει γὰρ τὸν παραδιδόντα αὐτόν· διὰ τοῦτο εἶπεν ὅτι οὐχὶ πάντες καθαροί ἐστε. |
| [12]When but He had washed their feet He took up His robe and reclined at the table and said to them do know? you what I have done to you |
[12]ὅτε οὗν ἔνιψεν τοὺς πόδας αὐτῶν [καὶ] ἔλαβεν τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀνέπεσεν πάλιν, εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, γινώσκετε τί πεποίηκα ὑμῖν; |
| [13]You call do Me our Master and our Lord and rightly say you I am for |
[13]ὑμεῖς φωνεῖτέ με ὁ διδάσκαλος καὶ ὁ κύριος, καὶ καλῶς λέγετε, εἰμὶ γάρ. |
| [14]If I therefore your Lord and your Master have washed for you your feet how much? you ought you to wash the feet one of another |
[14]εἰ οὗν ἐγὼ ἔνιψα ὑμῶν τοὺς πόδας ὁ κύριος καὶ ὁ διδάσκαλος, καὶ ὑμεῖς ὀφείλετε ἀλλήλων νίπτειν τοὺς πόδας· |
| [15]This for example I have given to you that in which way that I have done to you also you should do |
[15]ὑπόδειγμα γὰρ ἔδωκα ὑμῖν ἵνα καθὼς ἐγὼ ἐποίησα ὑμῖν καὶ ὑμεῖς ποιῆτε. |
| [16]Amen Amen speak I to you there is not a servant ? greater than his master and not an apostle ? greater than him who sent him |
[16]ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, οὐκ ἔστιν δοῦλος μείζων τοῦ κυρίου αὐτοῦ οὐδὲ ἀπόστολος μείζων τοῦ πέμψαντος αὐτόν. |
| [17]If these things you know blessed you are if you shall do them |
[17]εἰ ταῦτα οἴδατε, μακάριοί ἐστε ἐὰν ποιῆτε αὐτά. |
| [18]Not it was about all of you spoke I know I for those whom I have chosen but that the scripture may be fulfilled that he who eats with Me bread has lifted up against Me his heel |
[18]οὐ περὶ πάντων ὑμῶν λέγω· ἐγὼ οἶδα τίνας ἐξελεξάμην· ἀλλ᾽ ἵνα ἡ γραφὴ πληρωθῇ, ὁ τρώγων μου τὸν ἄρτον ἐπῆρεν ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ τὴν πτέρναν αὐτοῦ. |
| [19]From this hour telling I am you from before it happens that when it has occurred you shall believe I I |
[19]ἀπ᾽ ἄρτι λέγω ὑμῖν πρὸ τοῦ γενέσθαι, ἵνα πιστεύσητε ὅταν γένηται ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι. |
| [20]Amen Amen speak I to you that whoever receives Him that send I Me receives and whoever Me receives receives Him Who has sent Me |
[20]ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὁ λαμβάνων ἄν τινα πέμψω ἐμὲ λαμβάνει, ὁ δὲ ἐμὲ λαμβάνων λαμβάνει τὸν πέμψαντά με. |
| [21]These things said Ieshu and was powerfully moved in His Spirit and He testified and said Amen Amen speak I to you that one of you will betray Me |
[21]ταῦτα εἰπὼν [ὁ] ἰησοῦς ἐταράχθη τῶ πνεύματι καὶ ἐμαρτύρησεν καὶ εἶπεν, ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι εἷς ἐξ ὑμῶν παραδώσει με. |
| [22]Observed but the disciples one another because that not knew they about whom He spoke |
[22]ἔβλεπον εἰς ἀλλήλους οἱ μαθηταὶ ἀπορούμενοι περὶ τίνος λέγει. |
| [23]? There was but of His disciples one who supported was in His bosom him whom loving was ? Ieshu |
[23]ἦν ἀνακείμενος εἷς ἐκ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ ἐν τῶ κόλπῳ τοῦ ἰησοῦ, ὃν ἠγάπα ὁ ἰησοῦς· |
| [24]To this one gestured Shimeon Kaypha to ask Him who is? he of whom He spoke about him |
[24]νεύει οὗν τούτῳ σίμων πέτρος πυθέσθαι τίς ἂν εἴη περὶ οὖ λέγει. |
| [25]And fell that disciple on the breast of Ieshu and said to Him my Lord who is? this one |
[25]ἀναπεσὼν οὗν ἐκεῖνος οὕτως ἐπὶ τὸ στῆθος τοῦ ἰησοῦ λέγει αὐτῶ, κύριε, τίς ἐστιν; |
| [26]Answered Ieshu and said he it is for whom dip I the bread give I to him and dipped Ieshu the bread and gave to Yehudah son of Shimeon Scariota |
[26]ἀποκρίνεται [ὁ] ἰησοῦς, ἐκεῖνός ἐστιν ᾧ ἐγὼ βάψω τὸ ψωμίον καὶ δώσω αὐτῶ. βάψας οὗν τὸ ψωμίον [λαμβάνει καὶ] δίδωσιν ἰούδᾳ σίμωνος ἰσκαριώτου. |
| [27]And after the bread then was brought in into him Satan and said to him Ieshu the thing do you do quickly |
[27]καὶ μετὰ τὸ ψωμίον τότε εἰσῆλθεν εἰς ἐκεῖνον ὁ σατανᾶς. λέγει οὗν αὐτῶ ὁ ἰησοῦς, ὃ ποιεῖς ποίησον τάχιον. |
| [28]This but not a man knew among those reclining ? why He spoke to him |
[28]τοῦτο [δὲ] οὐδεὶς ἔγνω τῶν ἀνακειμένων πρὸς τί εἶπεν αὐτῶ· |
| [29]The men for thought because the money box with him was of Yehudah that He commanding He commanded him that he would buy something desired for the feast or that he would give something to the poor |
[29]τινὲς γὰρ ἐδόκουν, ἐπεὶ τὸ γλωσσόκομον εἶχεν ἰούδας, ὅτι λέγει αὐτῶ [ὁ] ἰησοῦς, ἀγόρασον ὧν χρείαν ἔχομεν εἰς τὴν ἑορτήν, ἢ τοῖς πτωχοῖς ἵνα τι δῶ. |
| [30]He but Yehudah took the bread son of a moment and went for him outside night it was but when he left |
[30]λαβὼν οὗν τὸ ψωμίον ἐκεῖνος ἐξῆλθεν εὐθύς· ἦν δὲ νύξ. |
| [31]And said Ieshu now is glorified The Son of Man and Alaha is glorified in Him |
[31]ὅτε οὗν ἐξῆλθεν λέγει ἰησοῦς, νῦν ἐδοξάσθη ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου, καὶ ὁ θεὸς ἐδοξάσθη ἐν αὐτῶ· |
| [32]And if Alaha is glorified in Him also Alaha glorifies Him in Himself and at once glorifies Him |
[32][εἰ ὁ θεὸς ἐδοξάσθη ἐν αὐτῶ] καὶ ὁ θεὸς δοξάσει αὐτὸν ἐν αὐτῶ, καὶ εὐθὺς δοξάσει αὐτόν. |
| [33]My children a little longer with you I am and you will seek Me and just as I said to the Jews that the place to which I departing am you not able are to come also to you say I now |
[33]τεκνία, ἔτι μικρὸν μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν εἰμι· ζητήσετέ με, καὶ καθὼς εἶπον τοῖς ἰουδαίοις ὅτι ὅπου ἐγὼ ὑπάγω ὑμεῖς οὐ δύνασθε ἐλθεῖν, καὶ ὑμῖν λέγω ἄρτι. |
| [34]A commandment new give I to you be loving one to another just as I have loved you also you shall love one another |
[34]ἐντολὴν καινὴν δίδωμι ὑμῖν, ἵνα ἀγαπᾶτε ἀλλήλους· καθὼς ἠγάπησα ὑμᾶς ἵνα καὶ ὑμεῖς ἀγαπᾶτε ἀλλήλους. |
| [35]In this shall know every man that My disciples you are if love shall be in you one to the other |
[35]ἐν τούτῳ γνώσονται πάντες ὅτι ἐμοὶ μαθηταί ἐστε, ἐὰν ἀγάπην ἔχητε ἐν ἀλλήλοις. |
| [36]Said to him Shimeon Kaypha our Lord to where? leaving are you answered Ieshu and said to him where go I not can you now come after Me at the end but you shall come |
[36]λέγει αὐτῶ σίμων πέτρος, κύριε, ποῦ ὑπάγεις; ἀπεκρίθη [αὐτῶ] ἰησοῦς, ὅπου ὑπάγω οὐ δύνασαί μοι νῦν ἀκολουθῆσαι, ἀκολουθήσεις δὲ ὕστερον. |
| [37]Said to him Shimeon Kaypha my Lord Why? not can I come after You now my life for Your sake will lay down I |
[37]λέγει αὐτῶ ὁ πέτρος, κύριε, διὰ τί οὐ δύναμαί σοι ἀκολουθῆσαι ἄρτι; τὴν ψυχήν μου ὑπὲρ σοῦ θήσω. |
| [38]Said to him Ieshu your life for my sake will lay down? you Amen Amen speak I to you that not shall crow a rooster until you deny Me three times |
[38]ἀποκρίνεται ἰησοῦς, τὴν ψυχήν σου ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ θήσεις; ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω σοι, οὐ μὴ ἀλέκτωρ φωνήσῃ ἕως οὖ ἀρνήσῃ με τρίς. |
