| [1]לא נתדוד לבכונ הימנו באלהא ובי הימנו |
[1]LET not your heart be troubled: believe in Aloha, and in me believe. |
| [2]סגיאינ אנונ אונא בית אבי ואלא אמר הוית לכונ דאזל אנא דאטיב לכונ אתרא |
[2]Many are the mansions of my Father's house: and if not, I would have told you; |
| [3]ואנ אזל אטיב לכונ אתרא תוב אתא ואדברכונ לותי דאיכא דאנא איתי אפ אנתונ תהוונ |
[3]For I go to prepare for you a place. And if I go to prepare for you a place, I will come again and take you with me, that where I am you also may be. |
| [4]ולאיכא דאזל אנא ידעינ אנתונ ואורחא ידעינ אנתונ |
[4]And whither I go you know, and the way you know. |
| [5]אמר לה תאומא מרנ לא ידעיננ לאיכא אזל אנת ואיכנא משׁכחינ חננ אורחא למדע |
[5]Thoma saith to him, Our Lord, we know not whither thou goest, and how can we know the way? |
| [6]אמר לה ישׁוע אנא אנא אורחא ושׁררא וחיא לא אנשׁ אתא לות אבי אלא אנ בי |
[6]Jeshu saith to him, I [am] the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto my Father unless by me. |
| [7]אלו לי ידעינ הויתונ אפ לאבי ידעינ הויתונ ומנ השׁא ידעינ אנתונ לה וחזיתוניהי |
[7]But if me you had known, my Father also would you have known: and henceforth you know him and have seen him. |
| [8]אמר לה פיליפוס מרנ חונ אבא וכדו לנ |
[8]Philipos saith to him, Our Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. |
| [9]אמר לה ישׁוע הנא כלה זבנא עמכונ אנא ולא ידעתני פיליפא מנ דלי חזא חזא לאבא ואיכנא אנת אמר אנת חונ אבא |
[9]Jeshu saith to him, All this time have I been with you, and hast thou not known me, Philip�? He who me seeth, seeth the Father; and how sayest thou, Show us the Father? |
| [10]לא מהימנ אנת דאנא באבי ואבי בי מלא אילינ דאנא ממלל אנא מנ נפשׁי לא ממלל אנא אבי דינ דבי עמר הו עבד עבדא הלינ |
[10]Believest thou not that I am in my Father and my Father in me? And these words that I speak, I speak not from myself, but my Father who dwelleth in me, he doeth these works. |
| [11]הימנו דאנא באבי ואבי בי ואלא אפנ מטל עבדא הימנו |
[11]Believe that I am in my Father and my Father in me; and if not, even on account of the works, believe. |
| [12]אמינ אמינ אמר אנא לכונ דמנ דמהימנ בי עבדא אילינ דאנא עבד אנא אפ הו נעבד ודיתירינ מנ הלינ נעבד דאנא לות אבא אזל אנא |
[12]Amen, amen, I say to you, That whosoever believeth in me, these works that I do shall he do also; and more than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father. |
| [13]ומדמ דתשׁאלונ בשׁמי אעבד לכונ דנשׁתבח אבא בברה |
[13]And whatsoever you shall ask in my name, I will do for you, that the Father may be glorified in his Son. |
| [14]ואנ תשׁאלונני בשׁמי אנא עבדנא |
[14]And if you shall ask [of] me in my name, I will do. |
| [15]אנ רחמינ אנתונ לי פוקדני טרו |
[15]IF you love me, keep my commandments; |
| [16]ואנא אבעא מנ אבי ואחרנא פרקלטא נתל לכונ דנהוא עמכונ לעלמ |
[16]And I will pray of my Father, and another Paracleteⓘ will he give you, who will be with you for ever, |
| [17]רוחא דשׁררא הו דעלמא לא משׁכח למקבלותה מטל דלא חזיהי ולא ידעה אנתונ דינ ידעינ אנתונ לה דלותכונ עמר ובכונ הו |
[17]The Spirit of truth, he whom the world cannot receive, because it doth not see him, nor know him. But you know him; for with you he dwelleth, and in you is. |
| [18]לא שׁבק אנא לכונ יתמא אתא אנא גיר לותכונ קליל אחרינ |
[18]I will not leave you orphans; for I will come to you |
| [19]ועלמא לא חזא לי אנתונ דינ תחזונני דאנא חי אפ אנתונ תחונ |
[19]A little after. And the world seeth me not, but you shall see me; for because I live, you also shall live. |
| [20]בהו יומא תדעונ דאנא באבי ואנתונ בי אנתונ ואנא בכונ אנא |
[20]In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. |
| [21]מנ דאית לותה פוקדני ונטר להונ הו הו מחב לי הו דינ דרחמ לי נתרחמ מנ אבי ואנא ארחמיוהי ואחויוהי נפשׁי |
[21]He who hath my commandments and keepeth them is he who loveth me; and he who loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest to him myself. |
| [22]אמר לה יהודא לא הוא סכריוטא מרי מנו לנ עתיד אנת למחויו נפשׁכ ולא הוא לעלמא |
[22]Jihuda saith to him, (it was not Scarjuta,) My Lord, how to us wilt thou manifest thyself, and not to the world? |
| [23]ענא ישׁוע ואמר לה מנ דרחמ לי מלתי נטר ואבי נרחמיוהי ולותה אתינ חננ ואונא לותה עבדינ חננ |
[23]Jeshu replied, and said to him, He who loveth me, my word keepeth, and my Father will love him, and unto him we come, and a dwelling-placeⓘ with him we make. |
| [24]הו דינ דלא רחמ לי מלתי לא נטר ומלתא הדא דשׁמעינ אנתונ לא הות דילי אלא דאבא דשׁדרני |
[24]But he who loveth me not, keepeth not my word. And the word that you hear is not mine, but of the Father who sent me. |
| [25]הלינ מללת עמכונ כד לותכונ איתי |
[25]These have I spoken with you while I am with you. |
| [26]הו דינ פרקלטא רוחא דקודשׁא הו דמשׁדר אבי בשׁמי הו נלפכונ כלמדמ והו נעהדכונ כל מא דאמר אנא לכונ |
[26]But he, the Paraclete, the Spirit of Holiness, whom the Father sendeth in my name, he shall teach you every thing, and he shall remind you of all that I have said to you. |
| [27]שׁלמא שׁבק אנא לכונ שׁלמא דילי יהב אנא לכונ לא הוא איכנא דיהב עלמא אנא יהב אנא לכונ לא נתדוד לבכונ ולא נדחל |
[27]PEACE I leave with you; my peace I give to you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor be afraid. |
| [28]שׁמעתונ דאנא אמרת לכונ דאזל אנא ואתא אנא לותכונ אלו רחמינ הויתונ לי חדינ הויתונ דאזל אנא לות אבי דאבי רב הו מני |
[28]You have heard what I have told you, that I go, and come to you [again]. If you had loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to my Father; for my Father is greater than I. |
| [29]והשׁא הא אמרת לכונ עדלא נהוא דמא דהוא תהימנונ |
[29]And now, behold, I have told you while it is not done, that when it has been you may believe. |
| [30]מכיל לא אמלל עמכונ סגיאתא אתא גיר ארכונה דעלמא ובי לית לה מדמ |
[30]Henceforth I will not speak with you much; for the ruler of the world cometh, and in me hath he nothing. |
| [31]אלא דנדע עלמא דרחמ אנא לאבי ואיכנא דפקדני אבי הכות עבד אנא קומו נאזל מכא |
[31]But that the world may know that I love my Father, and as my Father hath commanded, so I do. Arise, let us go hence! |
