[1]And the lot fell to the children of Joseph from Jordan by Jericho unto the water of Jericho eastward, and to the wilderness that goeth up from Jericho by the mount Beth-el: |
| [2]And goeth outH3318[H8804] from BethelH1008 to LuzH3870, and passeth alongH5674[H8804] unto the bordersH1366 of ArchiH757 to AtarothH5852, |
[2]And goeth out from Beth-el to Luz, and runneth along unto the borders of Archiataroth, |
| [3]And goeth downH3381[H8804] westwardH3220 to the coastH1366 of JaphletiH3311, unto the coastH1366 of BethhoronH1032 the netherH8481, and to GezerH1507: and the goings outH8444 thereof are at the seaH3220. |
[3]And goeth down westward to the coast of Japhleti, unto the coast of Bethhoron the nether, and to Gezer: and the ends thereof are at the sea. |
| [4]So the childrenH1121 of JosephH3130, ManassehH4519 and EphraimH669, took their inheritanceH5157.[H8799] |
[4]So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim took their inheritance. |
| [5]And the borderH1366 of the childrenH1121 of EphraimH669 according to their familiesH4940 was thus: even the borderH1366 of their inheritanceH5159 on the east sideH4217 was AtarothaddarH5853, unto BethhoronH1032 the upperH5945; |
[5]Also the borders of the children of Ephraim according to their families, even the borders of their inheritance on the east side were Atroth-addar, unto Bethhoron the upper. |
| [6]And the borderH1366 went outH3318[H8804] toward the seaH3220 to MichmethahH4366 on the north sideH6828; and the borderH1366 went aboutH5437[H8738] eastwardH4217 unto TaanathshilohH8387, and passedH5674[H8804] by it on the eastH4217 to JanohahH3239; |
[6]And this border goeth out to the sea unto Michmethah on the north side, and this border returneth eastward unto Taanathshiloh, and passeth it on the east side unto Janohah, |
| [7]And it went downH3381[H8804] from JanohahH3239 to AtarothH5852, and to NaarathH5292, and cameH6293[H8804] to JerichoH3405, and went outH3318[H8804] at JordanH3383. |
[7]And goeth down from Janohah to Ataroth, and Naarath, and cometh to Jericho, and goeth out at Jordan. |
| [8]The borderH1366 went outH3212[H8799] from TappuahH8599 westwardH3220 unto the riverH5158 KanahH7071; and the goings outH8444 thereof were at the seaH3220. This is the inheritanceH5159 of the tribeH4294 of the childrenH1121 of EphraimH669 by their familiesH4940. |
[8]And this border goeth from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah, and the ends thereof are at the sea: this is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families. |
| [9]And the separateH3995 citiesH5892 for the childrenH1121 of EphraimH669 were amongH8432 the inheritanceH5159 of the childrenH1121 of ManassehH4519, all the citiesH5892 with their villagesH2691. |
[9]And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh: all the cities with their villages. |
| [10]And they drave not outH3423[H8689] the CanaanitesH3669 that dweltH3427[H8802] in GezerH1507: but the CanaanitesH3669 dwellH3427[H8799] amongH7130 the EphraimitesH669 unto this dayH3117, and serveH5647[H8802] under tributeH4522. |
[10]And they cast not out the Canaanite that dwelt in Gezer, but the Canaanite dwelt among the Ephraimites unto this day, and served under tribute. |
