| [1] Καὶ διαγενομένου τοῦ σαββάτου Μαρία ἡ Μαγδαληνὴ καὶ Μαρία ἡ τοῦ ᾿Ιακώβου καὶ Σαλώμη ἠγόρασαν ἀρώματα ἵνα ἐλθοῦσαι ἀλείψωσιν αὐτόν. |
[1]And when the Sabbath day was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought sweet ointments that they might come, and embalm him. |
| [2]καὶ λίαν πρωῒ τῆς μιᾶς σαββάτων ἔρχονται ἐπὶ τὸ μνημεῖον, ἀνατείλαντος τοῦ ἡλίου. |
[2]Therefore early in the morning, the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulcher, when the Sun was yet rising. |
| [3]καὶ ἔλεγον πρὸς ἑαυτάς· τίς ἀποκυλίσει ἡμῖν τὸν λίθον ἐκ τῆς θύρας τοῦ μνημείου; |
[3]And they said one to another, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulcher? |
| [4]καὶ ἀναβλέψασαι θεωροῦσιν ὅτι ἀποκεκύλισται ὁ λίθος· ἦν γὰρ μέγας σφόδρα. |
[4]And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away (for it was a very great one.) |
| [5]καὶ εἰσελθοῦσαι εἰς τὸ μνημεῖον εἶδον νεανίσκον καθήμενον ἐν τοῖς δεξιοῖς, περιβεβλημένον στολὴν λευκήν, καὶ ἐξεθαμβήθησαν. |
[5]So they went into the sepulcher, and saw a young man sitting at the right side, clothed in a long white robe: and they were afraid. |
| [6]ὁ δὲ λέγει αὐταῖς· μὴ ἐκθαμβεῖσθε· ᾿Ιησοῦν ζητεῖτε τὸν Ναζαρηνὸν τὸν ἐσταυρωμένον· ἠγέρθη, οὐκ ἔστιν ὧδε· ἴδε ὁ τόπος ὅπου ἔθηκαν αὐτόν. |
[6]But he said unto them, Be not afraid: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which hath been crucified: he is risen, he is not here: behold the place, where they put him. |
| [7]ἀλλ᾿ ὑπάγετε εἴπατε τοῖς μαθηταῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ τῷ Πέτρῳ ὅτι προάγει ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν· ἐκεῖ αὐτὸν ὄψεσθε, καθὼς εἶπεν ὑμῖν. |
[7]But go your way, and tell his disciples, and Peter, that he will go before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. |
| [8]καὶ ἐξελθοῦσαι ἔφυγον ἀπὸ τοῦ μνημείου· εἶχε δὲ αὐτὰς τρόμος καὶ ἔκστασις, καὶ οὐδενὶ οὐδὲν εἶπον· ἐφοβοῦντο γάρ. |
[8]And they went out quickly and fled from the sepulcher: for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they anything to any man: for they were afraid. |
| [9]᾿Αναστὰς δὲ πρωῒ πρώτῃ σαββάτου ἐφάνη πρῶτον Μαρίᾳ τῇ Μαγδαληνῇ, ἀφ᾿ ἧς ἐκβεβλήκει ἑπτὰ δαιμόνια. |
[9]And when Jesus was risen again, in the morrow (which was the first day of the week) he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. |
| [10]ἐκείνη πορευθεῖσα ἀπήγγειλε τοῖς μετ᾿ αὐτοῦ γενομένοις, πενθοῦσι καὶ κλαίουσι. |
[10]And she went and told them that had been with him, which mourned and wept. |
| [11]κἀκεῖνοι ἀκούσαντες ὅτι ζῇ καὶ ἐθεάθη ὑπ᾿ αὐτῆς, ἠπίστησαν. |
[11]And when they heard that he was alive, and had appeared to her, they believed it not. |
| [12]Μετὰ δὲ ταῦτα δυσὶν ἐξ αὐτῶν περιπατοῦσιν ἐφανερώθη ἐν ἑτέρᾳ μορφῇ, πορευομένοις εἰς ἀγρόν. |
[12]After that, he appeared unto two of them in another form, as they walked and went into the country. |
| [13]κἀκεῖνοι ἀπελθόντες ἀπήγγειλαν τοῖς λοιποῖς· οὐδὲ ἐκείνοις ἐπίστευσαν. |
[13]And they went and told it to the remnant, but they believed them not. |
| [14]῞Υστερον ἀνακειμένοις αὐτοῖς τοῖς ἕνδεκα ἐφανερώθη, καὶ ὠνείδισε τὴν ἀπιστίαν αὐτῶν καὶ σκληροκαρδίαν, ὅτι τοῖς θεασαμένοις αὐτὸν ἐγηγερμένον οὐκ ἐπίστευσαν. |
[14]Finally, he appeared unto the eleven as they sat together, and reproved them of their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him, being risen up again. |
| [15]καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς· πορευθέντες εἰς τὸν κόσμον ἅπαντα κηρύξατε τὸ εὐαγγέλιον πάσῃ τῇ κτίσει. |
[15]And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature. |
| [16]ὁ πιστεύσας καὶ βαπτισθεὶς σωθήσεται, ὁ δὲ ἀπιστήσας κατακριθήσεται. |
[16]He that shall believe and be baptized, shall be saved: but he that will not believe, shall be damned. |
| [17]σημεῖα δὲ τοῖς πιστεύσασι ταῦτα παρακολουθήσει· ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου δαιμόνια ἐκβαλοῦσι· γλώσσαις λαλήσουσι καιναῖς· |
[17]And these tokens shall follow them that believe, In my Name they shall cast out devils, and shall speak with new tongues, |
| [18]ὄφεις ἀροῦσι· κἂν θανάσιμόν τι πίωσιν, οὐ μὴ αὐτοὺς βλάψει· ἐπὶ ἀρρώστους χεῖρας ἐπιθήσουσι, καὶ καλῶς ἕξουσιν. |
[18]And shall take away serpents, and if they shall drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them: they shall lay their hands on the sick, and they shall recover. |
| [19]῾Ο μὲν οὖν Κύριος μετὰ τὸ λαλῆσαι αὐτοῖς ἀνελήφθη εἰς τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐκ δεξιῶν τοῦ Θεοῦ. |
[19]So after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received into heaven, and sat at the right hand of God. |
| [20]ἐκεῖνοι δὲ ἐξελθόντες ἐκήρυξαν πανταχοῦ, τοῦ Κυρίου συνεργοῦντος καὶ τὸν λόγον βεβαιοῦντος διὰ τῶν ἐπακολουθούντων σημείων. ἀμήν. |
[20]And they went forth, and preached everywhere. And the Lord wrought with them, and confirmed the word with signs that followed, Amen. |
