[1]And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in the plains of Moab on this side Jordan [by] Jericho. |
[2]καίC ὁράωVB-AAPNSM *βαλακN--NSM υἱόςN2-NSM *σεπφωρN--ASM πᾶςA3-APN ὅσοςA1-APN ποιέωVAI-AAI3S *ἰσραήλN--NSM ὁRA-DSM *ἀμορραῖοςN2-DSM |
[2]And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. |
[3]καίC φοβέωVCI-API3S *μωαβN--NSM ὁRA-ASM λαόςN2-ASM σφόδραD ὅτιC πολύςA1-NPM εἰμίV9-IAI3P καίC προςὀχθίζωVAI-AAI3S *μωαβN--NSM ἀπόP πρόσωπονN2N-GSN υἱόςN2-GPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM |
[3]And Moab was sore afraid of the people, because they [were] many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel. |
[4]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *μωαβN--NSM ὁRA-DSF γερουσίαN1A-DSF *μαδιαμN--GS νῦνD ἐκλείχωVF-FAI3S ὁRA-NSF συναγωγήN1-NSF οὗτοςRD-NSF πᾶςA3-APM ὁRA-APM κύκλοςN2-DSM ἐγώRP-GP ὡςC ἐκλείχωVA-AAN ὁRA-NSM μόσχοςN2-NSM ὁRA-APN χλωρόςA1A-APN ἐκP ὁRA-GSN πεδίονN2N-GSN καίC *βαλακN--NSM υἱόςN2-NSM *σεπφωρN--NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM *μωαβN--GSM εἰμίV9-IAI3S κατάP ὁRA-ASM καιρόςN2-ASM ἐκεῖνοςRD-ASM |
[4]And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all [that are] round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor [was] king of the Moabites at that time. |
[5]καίC ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S πρέσβυςN3I-APM πρόςP *βαλααμN--ASM υἱόςN2-ASM *βεωρN--GSM *φαθουραN--GSM ὅςRR-NSN εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐπίP ὁRA-GSM ποταμόςN2-GSM γῆN1-GSF υἱόςN2-GPM λαόςN2-GSM αὐτόςRD-GSM καλέωVA-AAN αὐτόςRD-ASM λέγωV1-PAPNSM ἰδούI λαόςN2-NSM ἐκἔρχομαιVX-XAI3S ἐκP *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF καίC ἰδούI κατακαλύπτωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASF ὄψιςN3I-ASF ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF καίC οὗτοςRD-NSM ἐν καταἧμαιV5-PMI3S ἔχωV1-PMPNSM ἐγώRP-GS |
[5]He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which [is] by the river of the land of the children of Moav, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me: |
[6]καίC νῦνD δεῦροD ἀράομαιVA-AMD2S ἐγώRP-DS ὁRA-ASM λαόςN2-ASM οὗτοςRD-ASM ὅτιC ἰσχύωV1-PAI3S οὗτοςRD-NSM ἤC ἐγώRP-NP ἐάνC δύναμαιV6-PMS1P πατάσσωVA-AAN ἐκP αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC ἐκβάλλωVF2-FAI1S αὐτόςRD-APM ἐκP ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ὅτιC οἶδαVX-XAI1S ὅςRR-APM ἐάνC εὐλογέωVA-AAS2S σύRP-NS εὐλογέωVM-XMI3P καίC ὅςRR-APM ἐάνC καταἀράομαιVF-FMI2S σύRP-NS καταἀράομαιVM-XMI3P |
[6]Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they [are] too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, [that] we may smite them, and [that] I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest [is] blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed. |
[7]καίC πορεύομαιVCI-API3S ὁRA-NSF γερουσίαN1A-NSF *μωαβN--GSM καίC ὁRA-NSF γερουσίαN1A-NSF *μαδιαμN--GS καίC ὁRA-NPN μαντεῖονN2N-NPN ἐνP ὁRA-DPF χείρN3-DPF αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3P πρόςP *βαλααμN--ASM καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-DSM ὁRA-APN ῥῆμαN3M-APN *βαλακN--GSM |
[7]And the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the rewards of divination in their hand; and they came unto Balaam, and spake unto him the words of Balak. |
[8]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-APM καταλύωVA-AAD2P αὐτοῦD ὁRA-ASF νύξN3-ASF καίC ἀποκρίνωVC-FPI1S σύRP-DP πρᾶγμαN3M-APN ὅςRR-APN ἐάνC λαλέωVA-AAS3S κύριοςN2-NSM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS καίC καταμένωVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM ἄρχωνN3-NPM *μωαβN--GSM παράP *βαλααμN--DSM |
[8]And he said unto them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the LORD shall speak unto me: and the princes of Moab abode with Balaam. |
[9]καίC ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM πρόςP *βαλααμN--NSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM τίςRI-ASN ὁRA-NPM ἄνθρωποςN2-NPM οὗτοςRD-NPM παράP σύRP-DS |
[9]And God came unto Balaam, and said, What men [are] these with thee? |
[10]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *βαλααμN--NSM πρόςP ὁRA-ASM θεόςN2-ASM *βαλακN--NSM υἱόςN2-NSM *σεπφωρN--GSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM *μωαβN--GSM ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-APM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS λέγωV1-PAPNSM |
[10]And Balaam said unto God, Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, hath sent unto me, [saying] |
[11]ἰδούI λαόςN2-NSM ἐκἔρχομαιVX-XAI3S ἐκP *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF καίC ἰδούI καλύπτωVX-XAI3S ὁRA-ASF ὄψιςN3I-ASF ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF καίC οὗτοςRD-NSM ἐν καταἧμαιV5-PMI3S ἔχωV1-PMPNSM ἐγώRP-GS καίC νῦνD δεῦροD ἀράομαιVA-AMD2S ἐγώRP-DS αὐτόςRD-ASM εἰC ἄραX δύναμαιVF-FMI1S πατάσσωVA-AAN αὐτόςRD-ASM καίC ἐκβάλλωVF2-FAI1S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF |
[11]Behold, [there is] a people come out of Egypt, which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out. |
[12]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM πρόςP *βαλααμN--ASM οὐD πορεύομαιVF-FMI2S μετάP αὐτόςRD-GPM οὐδέC καταἀράομαιVF-FMI2S ὁRA-ASM λαόςN2-ASM εἰμίV9-PAI3S γάρX εὐλογέωVM-XPPNSM |
[12]And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; and thou shalt not curse the people: for they [are] blessed. |
[13]καίC ἀναἵστημιVH-AAPNSM *βαλααμN--NSM ὁRA-ASN πρωΐD εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-DPM ἄρχωνN3-DPM *βαλακN--GSM ἀποτρέχωV1-PAD2P πρόςP ὁRA-ASM κύριοςN2-ASM σύRP-GP οὐD ἀποἵημιV7-PAI3S ἐγώRP-AS ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM πορεύομαιV1-PMN μετάP σύRP-GP |
[13]And Balaam rose up in the morning, and said unto the princes of Balak, Get you into your land: for the LORD refuseth to give me leave to go with you. |
[14]καίC ἀναἵστημιVH-AAPNPM ὁRA-NPM ἄρχωνN3-NPM *μωαβN--GSM ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3P πρόςP *βαλακN--ASM καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI3P οὐD θέλωV1-PAI3S *βαλααμN--NSM πορεύομαιVC-APN μετάP ἐγώRP-GP |
[14]And the princes of Moab rose up, and they went unto Balak, and said, Balaam refuseth to come with us. |
[15]καίC προςτίθημιVEI-AMI3S *βαλακN--NSM ἔτιD ἀποστέλλωVA-AAN ἄρχωνN3-APM πολύςA3C-APM καίC ἔντιμοςA1B-APMC οὗτοςRD-GPM |
[15]And Balak sent yet again princes, more, and more honourable than they. |
[16]καίC ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3P πρόςP *βαλααμN--ASM καίC λέγωV1-PAI3P αὐτόςRD-DSM ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S *βαλακN--NSM ὁRA-NSM ὁRA-GSM *σεπφωρN--GSM ἀξιόωVA-AAD2S σύRP-AS μήD ὀκνέωVA-AAS2S ἔρχομαιVB-AAN πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS |
[16]And they came to Balaam, and said to him, Thus saith Balak the son of Zippor, Let nothing, I pray thee, hinder thee from coming unto me: |
[17]ἐντίμωςD γάρX τιμάωVA-AAS1S σύRP-AS καίC ὅσοςA1-APN ἐάνC εἶπονVB-AAS2S ποιέωVF-FAI1S σύRP-DS καίC δεῦροD ἐπι καταἀράομαιVA-AMD2S ἐγώRP-DS ὁRA-ASM λαόςN2-ASM οὗτοςRD-ASM |
[17]For I will promote thee unto very great honour, and I will do whatsoever thou sayest unto me: come therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people. |
[18]καίC ἀποκρίνωVCI-API3S *βαλααμN--NSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-DPM ἄρχωνN3-DPM *βαλακN--GSM ἐάνC δίδωμιVO-AAS3S ἐγώRP-DS *βαλακN--NSM πλήρηςA3H-APN ὁRA-ASM οἶκοςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀργύριονN2N-GSN καίC χρυσίονN2N-GSN οὐD δύναμαιVF-FMI1S παραβαίνωVZ-AAN ὁRA-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN κύριοςN2-GSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM ποιέωVA-AAN αὐτόςRD-ASN μικρόςA1A-ASN ἤC μέγαςA1P-ASN ἐνP ὁRA-DSF διάνοιαN1A-DSF ἐγώRP-GS |
[18]And Balaam answered and said unto the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more. |
[19]καίC νῦνD ὑπομένωVA-AAD2P αὐτοῦD καίC σύRP-NP ὁRA-ASF νύξN3-ASF οὗτοςRD-ASF καίC γιγνώσκωVF-FMI1S τίςRI-ASN προςτίθημιVF-FAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM λαλέωVA-AAN πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS |
[19]Now therefore, I pray you, tarry ye also here this night, that I may know what the LORD will say unto me more. |
[20]καίC ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM πρόςP *βαλααμN--ASM νύξN3-GSF καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM εἰC καλέωVA-AAN σύRP-AS παραεἰμίV9-PAI3P ὁRA-NPM ἄνθρωποςN2-NPM οὗτοςRD-NPM ἀναἵστημιVH-AAPNSM ἀκολουθέωVA-AAD2S αὐτόςRD-DPM ἀλλάC ὁRA-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN ὅςRR-NSN ἄνX λαλέωVF-FAI1S πρόςP σύRP-AS οὗτοςRD-ASN ποιέωVF-FAI2S |
[20]And messenger God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, [and] go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do. |
[21]καίC ἀναἵστημιVH-AAPNSM *βαλααμN--NSM ὁRA-ASN πρωΐD ἐπισάττωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASF ὄνοςN2-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC πορεύομαιVCI-API3S μετάP ὁRA-GPM ἄρχωνN3-GPM *μωαβN--GSM |
[21]And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab. |
[22]καίC ὀργίζωVSI-API3S θυμόςN2-DSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ὅτιC πορεύομαιVCI-API3S αὐτόςRD-NSM καίC ἀναἵστημιVHI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM ἐν διαβάλλωV1-PAN αὐτόςRD-ASM καίC αὐτόςRD-NSM ἐπιβαίνωVX-XAI3S ἐπίP ὁRA-GSF ὄνοςN2-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC δύοM παῖςN3D-NPM αὐτόςRD-GSM μετάP αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[22]And LORD's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants [were] with him. |
[23]καίC ὁράωVB-AAPNSF ὁRA-NSF ὄνοςN2-NSF ὁRA-ASM ἄγγελοςN2-ASM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM ἀντιἵστημιVXI-XAPASM ἐνP ὁRA-DSF ὁδόςN2-DSF καίC ὁRA-ASF ῥομφαίαN1A-ASF σπάωVM-XMPASF ἐνP ὁRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ἐκκλίνωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSF ὄνοςN2-NSF ἐκP ὁRA-GSF ὁδόςN2-GSF καίC πορεύομαιV1I-IMI3S εἰςP ὁRA-ASN πεδίονN2N-ASN καίC πατάσσωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASF ὄνοςN2-ASF ὁRA-DSF ῥάβδοςN2-DSF ὁRA-GSM εὐθύνωVA-AAN αὐτόςRD-ASF ἐνP ὁRA-DSF ὁδόςN2-DSF |
[23]And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way. |
[24]καίC ἵστημιVHI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM ἐνP ὁRA-DPF αὖλαξN3K-DPM ὁRA-GPF ἄμπελοςN2-GPF φραγμόςN2-NSM ἐντεῦθενD καίC φραγμόςN2-NSM ἐντεῦθενD |
[24]But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall [being] on this side, and a wall on that side. |
[25]καίC ὁράωVB-AAPNSF ὁRA-NSF ὄνοςN2-NSF ὁRA-ASM ἄγγελοςN2-ASM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM προςθλίβωVAI-AAI3S ἑαυτοῦRD-ASF πρόςP ὁRA-ASM τοῖχοςN2-ASM καίC ἀποθλίβωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASM πούςN3D-ASM *βαλααμN--GSM καίC προςτίθημιVEI-AMI3S ἔτιD μαστίζωVA-AAN αὐτόςRD-ASF |
[25]And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he smote her again. |
[26]καίC προςτίθημιVEI-AMI3S ὁRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM καίC ἀποἔρχομαιVB-AAPNSM ὑποἵστημιVHI-AAI3S ἐνP τόποςN2-DSM στενόςA1-DSM εἰςP ὅςRR-ASM οὐD εἰμίV9-IAI3S ἐκκλίνωVA-AAN δεξιόςA1A-ASF οὐδέC ἀριστερόςA1A-ASF |
[26]And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where [was] no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left. |
[27]καίC ὁράωVB-AAPNSF ὁRA-NSF ὄνοςN2-NSF ὁRA-ASM ἄγγελοςN2-ASM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM συν καταἵζωVAI-AAI3S ὑποκάτωP *βαλααμN--GSM καίC θυμόωVCI-API3S *βαλααμN--NSM καίC τύπτωV1I-IAI3S ὁRA-ASF ὄνοςN2-ASF ὁRA-DSF ῥάβδοςN2-DSF |
[27]And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff. |
[28]καίC ἀναοἴγωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ὁRA-ASN στόμαN3M-ASN ὁRA-GSF ὄνοςN2-GSF καίC λέγωV1-PAI3S ὁRA-DSM *βαλααμN--DSM τίςRI-ASN ποιέωVAI-AAI1S σύRP-DS ὅτιC παίωVX-XAI2S ἐγώRP-AS οὗτοςRD-ASN τρίτοςA1-ASN |
[28]And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times? |
[29]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *βαλααμN--NSM ὁRA-DSF ὄνοςN2-DSF ὅτιC ἐνπαίζωVX-XAI2S ἐγώRP-DS καίC εἰC ἔχωV1I-IAI3P μάχαιραN1A-ASF ἐνP ὁRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF ἐγώRP-GS ἤδηD ἄνX ἐκκεντέωVAI-AAI1S σύRP-AS |
[29]And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee. |
[30]καίC λέγωV1-PAI3S ὁRA-NSF ὄνοςN2-NSF ὁRA-DSM *βαλααμN--DSM οὐD ἐγώRP-NS ὁRA-NSF ὄνοςN2-NSF σύRP-GS ἐπίP ὅςRR-GSF ἐπιβαίνωV1I-IAI2S ἀπόP νεότηςN3T-GSF σύRP-GS ἕωςP ὁRA-GSF σήμερονD ἡμέραN1A-GSF μήD ὑπερόρασιςN3I-DSF ὑπερὁράωVB-AAPNSF ποιέωVAI-AAI1S σύRP-DS οὕτωςD ὁRA-NSM δέX εἶπονVBI-AAI3S οὐD |
[30]And the ass said unto Balaam, [Am] not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since [I was] thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay. |
[31]ἀποκαλύπτωVAI-AAI3S δέX ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ὁRA-APM ὀφθαλμόςN2-APM *βαλααμN--GSM καίC ὁράωV3-PAI3S ὁRA-ASM ἄγγελοςN2-ASM κύριοςN2-GSM ἀντιἵστημιVXI-XAPASM ἐνP ὁRA-DSF ὁδόςN2-DSF καίC ὁRA-ASF μάχαιραN1A-ASF σπάωVM-XMPASF ἐνP ὁRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC κύπτωVA-AAPNSM προςκυνέωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-DSN πρόσωπονN2N-DSN αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[31]Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face. |
[32]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM ὁRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM διάP τίςRI-ASN πατάσσωVAI-AAI2S ὁRA-ASF ὄνοςN2-ASF σύRP-GS οὗτοςRD-ASN τρίτοςA1-ASN καίC ἰδούI ἐγώRP-NS ἐκἔρχομαιVBI-AAI1S εἰςP διαβολήN1-ASF σύRP-GS ὅτιC οὐD ἀστεῖοςA1A-NSF ὁRA-NSF ὁδόςN2-NSF σύRP-GS ἐναντίονP ἐγώRP-GS |
[32]And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because [thy] way is perverse before me: |
[33]καίC ὁράωVB-AAPNSF ἐγώRP-AS ὁRA-NSF ὄνοςN2-NSF ἐκκλίνωVAI-AAI3S ἀπόP ἐγώRP-GS τρίτοςA1-ASN οὗτοςRD-ASN καίC εἰC μήD ἐκκλίνωVAI-AAI3S νῦνD οὖνX σύRP-AS μένX ἀποκτείνωVAI-AAI1S ἐκεῖνοςRD-ASF δέX περιποιέωVAI-AMI1S |
[33]And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had smitten thee, and saved her alive. |
[34]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *βαλααμN--NSM ὁRA-DSM ἄγγελοςN2-DSM κύριοςN2-GSM ἁμαρτάνωVX-XAI1S οὐD γάρX ἐπίσταμαιV6I-IMI1S ὅτιC σύRP-NS ἐγώRP-DS ἀντιἵστημιVXI-XAI2S ἐνP ὁRA-DSF ὁδόςN2-DSF εἰςP συνάντησιςN3I-ASF καίC νῦνD εἰC μήD σύRP-DS ἀρέσκωV1-PAI3S ἀποστρέφωVD-FPI1S |
[34]And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again. |
[35]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM πρόςP *βαλααμN--ASM συνπορεύομαιVC-APD2S μετάP ὁRA-GPM ἄνθρωποςN2-GPM πλήνD ὁRA-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN ὅςRR-ASN ἐάνC εἶπονVB-AAS1S πρόςP σύRP-AS οὗτοςRD-ASN φυλάσσωVF-FMI2S λαλέωVA-AAN καίC πορεύομαιVCI-API3S *βαλααμN--NSM μετάP ὁRA-GPM ἄρχωνN3-GPM *βαλακN--GSM |
[35]And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt observe and speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak. |
[36]καίC ἀκούωVA-AAPNSM *βαλακN--NSM ὅτιC ἥκωV1-PAI3S *βαλααμN--NSM ἐκἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S εἰςP συνάντησιςN3I-ASF αὐτόςRD-DSM εἰςP πόλιςN3I-ASF *μωαβN--GSM ὅςRR-NSF εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐπίP ὁRA-GPN ὅριονN2N-GPN *αρνωνN--GS ὅςRR-NSN εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐκP μέροςN3E-GSN ὁRA-GPN ὅριονN2N-GPN |
[36]And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him unto a city of Moab, which [is] in the border of Arnon, which [is] in the utmost coast. |
[37]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *βαλακN--NSM πρόςP *βαλααμN--ASM οὐD ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI1S πρόςP σύRP-AS καλέωVA-AAN σύRP-AS διάP τίςRI-ASN οὐD ἄρχωV1I-IMI2S πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS ὄντωςD οὐD δύναμαιVF-FMI1S τιμάωVA-AAN σύRP-AS |
[37]And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee? wherefore camest thou not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote thee to honour? |
[38]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *βαλααμN--NSM πρόςP *βαλακN--ASM ἰδούI ἥκωV1-PAI1S πρόςP σύRP-AS νῦνD δυνατόςA1-NSM εἰμίVF-FMI1S λαλέωVA-AAN τιςRI-ASN ὁRA-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN ὅςRR-ASN ἐάνC βάλλωVB-AAS3S ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM εἰςP ὁRA-ASN στόμαN3M-ASN ἐγώRP-GS οὗτοςRD-ASN λαλέωVF-FAI1S |
[38]And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I observe and speak. |
[39]καίC πορεύομαιVCI-API3S *βαλααμN--NSM μετάP *βαλακN--NSM καίC ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3P εἰςP πόλιςN3I-APF ἔπαυλιςN3I-GPF |
[39]And Balaam went with Balak, and they came unto Kirjath-huzoth. |
[40]καίC θύωVAI-AAI3S *βαλακN--NSM πρόβατονN2N-APN καίC μόσχοςN2-APM καίC ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-DSM *βαλααμN--DSM καίC ὁRA-DPM ἄρχωνN3-DPM ὁRA-DPM μετάP αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[40]And Balak offered oxen and sheep, and sent to Balaam, and to the princes that [were] with him. |
[41]καίC γίγνομαιVCI-API3S πρωΐD καίC παραλαμβάνωVB-AAPNSM *βαλακN--NSM ὁRA-ASM *βαλααμN--ASM ἀναβιβάζωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐπίP ὁRA-ASF στήληN1-ASF ὁRA-GSM *βααλN--GSM καίC δεικνύωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM ἐκεῖθενD μέροςN3E-ASN τιςRI-ASN ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM |
[41]And it came to pass on the morrow, that Balak took Balaam, and brought him up into the high places of Baal, that thence he might see the utmost [part] of the people. |
