[2]γιγνώσκωVZ-AAN σοφίαN1A-ASF καίC παιδείαN1A-ASF νοέωVA-AAN τεC λόγοςN2-APM φρόνησιςN3I-GSF [2]To know wisdom, and instruction, to understand the words of knowledge,
[3]δέχομαιVA-AMN τεC στροφήN1-APF λόγοςN2-GPM νοέωVA-AAN τεC δικαιοσύνηN1-ASF ἀληθήςA3H-ASF καίC κρίμαN3M-ASN καταεὐθύνωV1-PAN [3]To receive instruction to do wisely, by justice and judgment and equity,
[4]ἵναC δίδωμιVO-AAS3S ἄκακοςA1B-DPM πανουργιάN1A-ASF παῖςN3D-DSM δέX νέοςA1A-DSM αἴσθησιςN3I-ASF τεX καίC ἐννοίαN1A-ASF [4]To give unto the simple, sharpness of wit, and to the child knowledge and discretion.
[5]ὅδεRD-GPF γάρX ἀκούωVA-AAPNSM σοφόςA1-NSM σοφόςA1-NSMC εἰμίVF-FMI3SRA-NSM δέX νοήμωνA3N-NSM κυβέρνησιςN3I-ASM κτάομαιVF-FMI3S [5]A wise man shall hear and increase in learning, and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels,
[6]νοέωVF-FAI3S τεC παραβολήN1-ASF καίC σκοτεινόςA1-ASM λόγοςN2-ASM ῥῆσιςN3I-APF τεC σοφόςA1-GPM καίC αἴνιγμαN3M-APN [6]To understand a parable, and the interpretation, the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
[7]ἀρχήN1-NSF σοφίαN1A-GSF φόβοςN2-NSM θεόςN2-GSM σύνεσιςN3I-NSF δέX ἀγαθόςA1-NSF πᾶςA3-DPMRA-DPM ποιέωV2-PAPDPM αὐτόςRD-ASF εὐσέβειαN1A-NSF δέX εἰςP θεόςN2-ASM ἀρχήN1-NSF αἴσθησιςN3I-GSF σοφίαN1A-ASF δέX καίC παιδείαN1A-ASF ἀσεβήςA3H-NPM ἐκοὐθενόωVF-FAI3P [7]The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
[8]ἀκούωV1-PAD2S υἱόςN2-VSM παιδείαN1A-ASF πατήρN3-GSM σύRP-GS καίC μήD ἀποὠθέωVA-AAS3S θεσμόςN2-APM μήτηρN3-GSF σύRP-GS [8]My son, hear thy father's instruction, and forsake not thy mother's teaching.
[9]στέφανοςN2-ASM γάρX χάριςN3T-GPF δέχομαιVA-AMS2S σόςA1-DSF κορυφήN1-DSF καίC κλοιόςN2-ASM χρύσεοςA1-ASM περίP σόςA1-DSM τράχηλοςN2-DSM [9]For they shall be a comely ornament unto thine head, and as chains for thy neck.
[10]υἱόςN2-VSM μήD σύRP-AS πλανάωVA-AAS3P ἀνήρN3-NPM ἀσεβήςA3H-NPM μηδέC βούλομαιVC-APS2S ἐάνC παρακαλέωVA-AAS3P σύRP-AS λέγωV1-PAPNPM [10]My son, if sinners do entice thee, consent thou not.
[11]ἔρχομαιVB-PAD2S μετάP ἐγώRP-GP κοινωνέωVA-AAD2S αἷμαN3M-GSN κρύπτωVA-AAS1P δέX εἰςP γῆN1-ASF ἀνήρN3-ASM δίκαιοςA1A-ASM ἀδίκωςD [11]If they say, Come with us, we will lay wait for blood, and lie privily for the innocent without a cause:
[12]καταπίνωVB-AAS1P δέX αὐτόςRD-ASM ὥσπερD ᾅδηςN1M-NSM ζάωV3-PAPASM καίC αἴρωVA-AAS1P αὐτόςRD-GSMRA-ASF μνήμηN1-ASF ἐκP γῆN1-GSF [12]We will swallow them up alive like a grave even whole, as those that go down into the pit:
[13]RA-ASF κτῆσιςN3I-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSMRA-ASF πολυτελήςA3H-ASF καταλαμβάνωVB-AMS1P πίμπλημιVH-AAS1P δέX οἶκοςN2-APM ἡμέτεροςA1A-APM σκῦλονN2N-GPN [13]We shall find all precious riches, and fill our houses with spoil:
[14]RA-ASM δέX σόςA1-ASM κλῆροςN2-ASM βάλλωVB-AAD2S ἐνP ἐγώRP-DP κοινόςA1-ASN δέX βαλλάντιονN2N-ASN κτάομαιVA-AMS1P πᾶςA3-NPM καίC μαρσίππιονN2N-ASN εἷςA3-ASN γίγνομαιVC-APD3S ἐγώRP-DP [14]Cast in thy lot among us: we will all have one purse:
[15]μήD πορεύομαιVC-APS2S ἐνP ὁδόςN2-DSM μετάP αὐτόςRD-GPM ἐκκλίνωVB-AAD2S δέXRA-ASM πούςN3D-ASM σύRP-GS ἐκPRA-GPF τρίβοςN2-GPF αὐτόςRD-GPM [15]My son, walk not thou in the way with them: refrain thy foot from their path.
[16]RA-NPM γάρX πούςN3D-NPM αὐτόςRD-GPM εἰςP κακίαN1A-ASF τρέχωV1-PAI3P καίC ταχινόςA1-NPMRA-GSN ἐκχέωVA-AAN αἷμαN3M-ASN [16]For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
[17]οὐD γάρX ἀδίκωςD ἐκτείνωV1-PMI3S δίκτυονN2N-APN πτερωτόςA1-DPN [17]Certainly as without cause the net is spread before the eyes of all that hath wing:
[18]αὐτόςRD-NPM γάρXRA-NPM φόνοςN2-GSM μεταἔχωV1-PAPNPM θησαυρίζωV1-PAI3P ἑαυτοῦRD-DPM κακόςA1-APNRA-NSF δέX καταστροφήN1-NSF ἀνήρN3-GPM παράνομοςA1B-GPM κακόςA1-NSF [18]So they lay wait for blood and lie privily for their lives.
[19]ἑαυτοῦRD-NPFRA-NPF ὁδόςN2-NPF εἰμίV9-PAI3P πᾶςA3-GPMRA-GPM συντελέωV2-PAPGPMRA-APN ἄνομοςA1B-APNRA-DSF γάρX ἀσέβειαN1A-DSFRA-ASF ἑαυτοῦRD-GPN ψυχήN1-ASF ἀποαἱρέωV2-PMI3P [19]Such are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain: he would take away the life of the owners thereof.
[20]σοφίαN1A-NSF ἐνP ἔξοδοςN2-DPF ὑμνέωV2-PMI3S ἐνP δέX πλατύςA3U-DPF παρρησίαN1A-ASF ἄγωV1-PAI3S [20]Wisdom cryeth without: she uttereth her voice in the streets.
[21]ἐπίP ἄκροςA1A-GPN δέX τεῖχοςN3E-GPN κηρύσσωV1-PMI3S ἐπίP δέX πύληN1-DPF δυνάστηςN1M-GPM παραἑδρεύωV1-PAI3S ἐπίP δέX πύληN1-DPF πόλιςN3I-GSF θαρσέωV2-PAPNSF λέγωV1-PAI3S [21]She calleth in the high street, among the prease in the enterings of the gates, and uttereth her words in the city, saying,
[22]ὅσοςA1-ASM ἄνX χρόνοςN2-ASM ἄκακοςA1B-NPM ἔχωV1-PMS3PRA-GSF δικαιοσύνηN1-GSF οὐD αἰσχύνωVF-FPI3PRA-NPM δέX ἄφρωνA3N-NPMRA-GSF ὕβριςN3I-GSF εἰμίV9-PAPNPM ἐπιθυμητήςN1M-NPM ἀσεβήςA3H-NPM γίγνομαιVB-AMPNPM μισέωVAI-AAI3P αἴσθησιςN3I-ASF [22]O ye foolish, how long will ye love foolishness? And the scornful take their pleasure in scorning, and the fools hate knowledge?
[23]καίC ὑπεύθυνοςN2-NPM γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3P ἔλεγχοςN2-DPM ἰδούI προἵημιVF-FMI1S σύRP-DP ἐμόςA1-GSF πνοήN1-GSF ῥῆσιςN3I-ASF διδάσκωVF-FAI1S δέX σύRP-APRA-ASM ἐμόςA1-ASM λόγοςN2-ASM [23](Turn you at my correction: lo, I will pour out my mind unto you, and make you understand my words)
[24]ἐπειδήC καλέωV2I-IAI1S καίC οὐD ὑποἀκούωVAI-AAI2P καίC ἐκτείνωV1I-IAI1S λόγοςN2-APM καίC οὐD προςἔχωV1I-IAI2P [24]Because I have called, and ye refused: I have stretched out mine hand, and none would regard.
[25]ἀλλάC ἄκυροςA1B-APF ποιέωV2I-IAI2P ἐμόςA1-APF βουλήN1-APFRA-DPM δέX ἐμόςA1-DPM ἔλεγχοςN2-DPM ἀπειθέωVAI-AAI2P [25]But ye have despised all my counsel, and would none of my correction.
[26]τοιγαροῦνX καΐἐγώC+RPNSRA-DSF ὑμέτεροςA1A-DSF ἀπώλειαN1A-DSF ἐπιγελάωVF-FMI1S καταχαίρωVF-FMI1S δέX ἡνίκαD ἄνX ἔρχομαιV1-PMS3S σύRP-DP ὄλεθροςN2-NSM [26]I will also laugh at your destruction, and mock, when your fear cometh.
[27]καίC ὡςD ἄνX ἀποἱκνέομαιVB-AMS3S σύRP-DP ἄφνωD θόρυβοςN2-NSMRA-NSF δέX καταστροφήN1-NSF ὁμοίωςD καταιγίςN3D-DSF παραεἰμίV9-PAS3S καίC ὅτανD ἔρχομαιV1-PMS3S σύRP-DP θλῖψιςN3I-NSF καίC πολιορκίαN1A-NSFC ὅτανD ἔρχομαιV1-PMS3S σύRP-DP ὄλεθροςN2-NSM [27]When your fear cometh like sudden desolation, and your destruction shall come, like a whirl wind: when affliction and anguish shall come upon you,
[28]εἰμίVF-FMI3S γάρX ὅτανD ἐπικαλέωVA-AMS2P ἐγώRP-AS ἐγώRP-NS δέX οὐD εἰςἀκούωVF-FMI1S σύRP-GP ζητέωVF-FAI3P ἐγώRP-AS κακόςA1-NPM καίC οὐD εὑρίσκωVF-FAI3P [28]Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer: they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me,
[29]μισέωVAI-AAI3P γάρX σοφίαN1A-ASFRA-ASM δέX φόβοςN2-ASMRA-GSM κύριοςN2-GSM οὐD προαἱρέωVB-AMI3P [29]Because they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord.
[30]οὐδέC ἐθέλωV1I-IAI3P ἐμόςA1-DPF προςἔχωV1-PAN βουλήN1-DPF μυκτηρίζωV1I-IAI3P δέX ἐμόςA1-APM ἔλεγχοςN2-APM [30]They would none of my counsel, but despised all my correction.
[31]τοϊγαρ+οῦνX ἐσθίωVF-FMI3PRA-GSF ἑαυτοῦRD-GPM ὁδόςN2-GSFRA-APM καρπόςN2-APM καίCRA-GSF ἑαυτοῦRD-GPF ἀσέβειαN1A-GSF πίμπλημιVS-FPI3P [31]Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devises.
[32]ἀντίP ὅςRR-GPM γάρX ἀδικέωV2I-IAI3P νήπιοςA1A-APM φονεύωVC-FPI3P καίC ἐξετασμόςN2-NSM ἀσεβήςA3H-APM ὄλλυμιVF2-FAI3S [32]For ease slayeth the foolish, and the prosperity of fools destroyeth them.
[33]RA-NSM δέX ἐγώRP-GS ἀκούωV1-PAPNSM κατασκηνόωVF-FAI3S ἐπίP ἐλπίςN3D-DSF καίC ἡσυχάζωVF-FAI3S ἀφόβωςD ἀπόP πᾶςA3-GSN κακόςA1-GSN [33]But he that obeyeth me, shall dwell safely, and be quiet from fear of evil.
