[1]ܕܪܵܚܹ̇ܡ ܡܲܪܕ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܪܵܚܹ̇ܡ ܝܼܕܲܥܬ̣ܵܐ. ܘܲܕ݂ܣܵܢܹ̇ܐ ܡܲܟ̇ܣܵܢܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܣܲܟ݂ܠܵܐ ܗ̄ܘܼ. [1]Whoso is loving instruction, is loving knowledge, And whoso is hating reproof [is] brutish.
[2]ܢܸܛܐܲܒ̣ ܠܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܕܢܵܛܲܪ ܨܸܒ̣ܝܵܢܹܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ. ܘܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܥܵܘܿܠܵܐ ܢܸܬ̣ܚܲܝܲܒ̣. [2]The good bringeth forth favour from Jehovah, And the man of wicked devices He condemneth.
[3]ܠܵܐ ܢܸܬ̣ܩܲܢ ܒܲܪܢܵܫܵܐ ܒܥܵܘܼܠܹܗ. ܘܥܸܩܵܪܵܐ ܕܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܹ̈ܐ ܠܵܐ ܢܙܘܿܥ. [3]A man is not established by wickedness, And the root of the righteous is not moved.
[4]ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ ܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܢܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܟܠܝܼܠܵܐ ܗ̄ܝܼ ܕܒܲܥܠܵܗ̇. ܘܐܲܝܟ݂ ܒܸܠܛܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܘܬ̣ܵܘܠܥܵܐ ܒܩܲܝܣܵܐ: ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܡܵܘܒ̇ܕ݂ܵܐ ܠܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ ܥܵܒ̣ܕܲܬ̣ ܒܝܼ̈ܫܵܬ̣ܵܐ. [4]A virtuous woman [is] a crown to her husband, And as rottenness in his bones [is] one causing shame.
[5]ܡܲܚܫ̈ܒ̣ܵܬ̣ܗܘܿܢ ܕܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܹ̈ܐ ܕܝܼܢܵܐ. ܘܗܘܼܦܵܟ݂ܗܘܿܢ ܕܥܵܘܿܠܹ̈ܐ ܢܸܟ݂ܠܵܐ. [5]The thoughts of the righteous [are] justice, The counsels of the wicked -- deceit.
[6]ܡܸܠܹ̈ܐ ܕܥܵܘܿܠܹ̈ܐ ܟܵܡ̈ܢܵܢ ܠܲܕ݂ܡܵܐ. ܘܦܘܼܡܗܘܿܢ ܕܲܬ̣ܪܝܼܨܹܐ ܡܦܲܨܹܐ ܠܗܘܿܢ. [6]The words of the wicked [are]: `Lay wait for blood,' And the mouth of the upright delivereth them.
[7]ܢܸܬ̣ܗܲܦܟ̇ܘܼܢ ܥܵܘܿܠܹ̈ܐ: ܘܠܵܐ ܢܸܫܬܲܟ݂ܚܘܼܢ ܘܒܲܝܬܵܐ ܕܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܹ̈ܐ ܢܸܬ̣ܩܲܝܲܡ. [7]Overthrow the wicked, and they are not, And the house of the righteous standeth.
[8]ܠܦܘܼܡܵܐ ܣܲܟ̇ܘܼܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ ܡܫܲܒ̇ܚܝܼܢ ܒܢܲܝ̈ܢܵܫܵܐ ܘܲܕ݂ܚܲܣܝܼܪ ܪܸܥܝܵܢܹܗ: ܢܸܬ̇ܬ̇ܫܝܼܛ. [8]According to his wisdom is a man praised, And the perverted of heart becometh despised.
[9]ܛܵܒ̣ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܡܸܣܟܹ̇ܢܵܐ ܕܲܡܫܲܡܸܫ ܢܲܦ̮ܫܹܗ ܛܵܒ̣ ܡ̣ܢ ܗܵܘܿ ܕܡܸܫܬܲܒ̣ܗܲܪ ܘܲܨܪܝܼܟ݂ ܠܠܲܚܡܵܐ. [9]Better [is] the lightly esteemed who hath a servant, Than the self-honoured who lacketh bread.
[10]ܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܵܐ ܝܵܕܲܥ ܡ̣ܢ ܢܲܦ̮ܫܵܐ ܕܲܒ̣ܥܝܼܪܹܗ. ܘܥܵܘܿܠܹ̈ܐ ܐܲܚܝܼܕ݂ܝܼܢ ܪ̈ܲܚܡܲܝܗܘܿܢ. [10]The righteous knoweth the life of his beast, And the mercies of the wicked [are] cruel.
[11]ܕܦܵܠܲܚ ܒܐܲܪܥܵܐ: ܢܸܣܒܲܥ ܠܲܚܡܵܐ. ܘܲܕ݂ܪܵܗܹ̇ܛ ܒܵܬܲܪ ܣܪܝܼܩܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܚܲܣܝܼܪ ܪܸܥܝܵܢܵܐ ܗ̄ܘܼ. [11]Whoso is tilling the ground is satisfied [with] bread, And whoso is pursuing vanities is lacking heart,
[12]ܪܵܐܹ̇ܓ̣ ܥܵܘܿܠܵܐ ܠܡܸܥܒܲܕ݂ ܒܝܼܫܬܵܐ. ܘܥܸܩܪܵܐ ܕܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܹ̈ܐ ܢܸܫܘܲܚ. [12]The wicked hath desired the net of evil doers, And the root of the righteous giveth.
[13]ܒܥܵܘܼܠܵܐ ܕܣܸܦ̈ܘܵܬܹܗ ܡܸܬ̇ܬ̇ܚܸܕ݂ ܒܝܼܫܵܐ. ܘܦܵܠܹ̇ܛ ܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܐܘܼܠܨܵܢܵܐ. [13]In transgression of the lips [is] the snare of the wicked, And the righteous goeth out from distress.
[14]ܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܛܵܒ̣ܵܐ: ܡ̣ܢ ܦܹܐܪ̈ܲܝ ܦܘܼܡܹܗ ܢܸܣܒܲܥ. ܘܟ݂ܠ ܒܲܪܢܵܫ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܥܒ̣ܵܕ݂ ܐܝܼܕ݂ܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܡܸܬ̣ܦܪܲܥ. [14]From the fruit of the mouth [is] one satisfied [with] good, And the deed of man's hands returneth to him.
[15]ܐܘܼܪܚܹܗ ܕܣܲܟ݂ܠܵܐ ܫܲܦܝܼܪܵܐ ܗ̄ܝܼ ܒܥܲܝܢܵܘ̈ܗܝ. ܘܲܕ݂ܡܸܫܬ̇ܡܲܥ ܠܡܸܠܟܵܐ: ܚܲܟ̇ܝܼܡܵܐ ܗ̄ܘܼ. [15]The way of a fool [is] right in his own eyes, And whoso is hearkening to counsel [is] wise.
[16]ܣܲܟ݂ܠܵܐ ܒܲܪ ܝܵܘܡܹܗ ܡܵܘܕܲܥ ܪܘܼܓ̣ܙܹܗ. ܘܲܥܪܝܼܡܵܐ ܡܛܲܫܸܐ ܨܲܥܪܹܗ. [16]The fool -- in a day is his anger known, And the prudent is covering shame.
[17]ܗܲܝܡܵܢܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܡܸܬ̣ܚܲܙܝܵܐ ܡܡܲܠܸܠ ܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܵܐ. ܘܣܵܗܕܵܐ ܕܥܵܘܼܠܵܐ ܢܲܟ̇ܘܼܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ ܗ̄ܘܼ. [17]Whoso uttereth faithfulness declareth righteousness, And a false witness -- deceit.
[18]ܐܝܼܬ̣ ܕܐܵܡ̇ܪܝܼܢ ܣܲܦ̮ܣܹܪܵܐ ܕܵܓ̣ܫܵܐ: ܠܸܫܵܢܵܐ ܕܹܝܢ ܕܚܲܟ̇ܝܼܡܹ̈ܐ ܡܲܐܣܸܐ. [18]A rash speaker is like piercings of a sword, And the tongue of the wise is healing.
[19]ܣܸܦ̈ܘܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܩܘܼܫܬܵܐ ܬܪ̈ܝܼܨܵܢ. ܘܣܵܗܕܵܐ ܡܣܲܪ̱ܗܒ̣ܵܐ: ܥܵܘܵܠ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܠܸܫܵܢܹܗ. [19]The lip of truth is established for ever, And for a moment -- a tongue of falsehood.
[20]ܢܸܟ݂ܠܵܐ ܒܠܸܒܹ̇ܗ ܕܒ̣ܝܼܫܵܐ ܚܵܫܹ̇ܠ ܒܝܼܫܬܵܐ ܘܐܲܝܠܹܝܢ ܕܡܸܬ̣ܡܲܠܟ݂ܝܼܢ ܫܠܵܡܵܐ: ܬܸܗܘܹܐ ܠܗܘܿܢ ܚܲܕ݂ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ. [20]Deceit [is] in the heart of those devising evil, And to those counselling peace [is] joy.
[21]ܠܵܐ ܫܲܦܝܼܪ ܠܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܵܐ ܡܸܕܹ̇ܡ ܕܥܸܬܵܐ ܘܥܵܘܿܠܹ̈ܐ ܡܠܹܝܢ ܒܝܼ̈ܫܵܬ̣ܵܐ. [21]No iniquity is desired by the righteous, And the wicked have been full of evil.
[22]ܣܸܦ̈ܘܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܲܓܵـ̈ـܠܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܡܲܣܠܹܐ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ. ܘܨܵܒܹ̇ܐ ܒܐܲܝܠܹܝܢ ܕܥܵܒ̣ܕ̇ܝܼܢ ܗܲܝܡܵܢܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ. [22]An abomination to Jehovah [are] lying lips, And stedfast doers [are] his delight.
[23]ܒܲܪܢܵܫܵܐ ܥܪܝܼܡܵܐ: ܟܘܼܪܣܝܵܐ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܕܝܼܕܲܥܬ̣ܵܐ. ܘܠܸܒܵܐ ܕܣܲܟ݂̈ܠܹܐ ܩܵܪܹܐ ܠܒ̣ܝܼܫܬܵܐ. [23]A prudent man is concealing knowledge, And the heart of fools proclaimeth folly.
[24]ܐܝܼܕ݂ܵܐ ܕܥܲܫܝܼܢܹ̈ܐ ܬܸܫܬܲܠܲܛ. ܘܲܢܟ݂ܝܼ̈ܠܹܐ ܢܸܗܘܘܿܢ ܠܡܲܕܲܐܬ̣ܵܐ. [24]The hand of the diligent ruleth, And slothfulness becometh tributary.
[25]ܡܸܠܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܚܝܼܠܬܵܐ: ܠܸܒܹ̇ܗ ܕܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܕܵܠܚܵܐ. ܘܡܸܠܬ̣ܵܐ ܛܵܒ̣ܬ̣ܵܐ ܡܚܲܕ̇ܝܵܐ ܠܹܗ. [25]Sorrow in the heart of a man boweth down, And a good word maketh him glad.
[26]ܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܵܐ ܡܵܠܹ̇ܟ݂ ܡܸܠܟܵܐ ܛܵܒ̣ܵܐ ܠܪܵܚܡܹܗ ܘܐܘܼܪܚ̄ܗܘܿܢ ܕܥܵܘܿܠܹ̈ܐ ܬܲܛܥܹܐ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ. [26]The righteous searcheth his companion, And the way of the wicked causeth them to err.
[27]ܠܵܐ ܢܸܣܬܲܩܒܲܠ ܨܲܝܕܵܐ ܠܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܢܟ݂ܝܼܠܵܐ. ܘܩܸܢܝܵܢܵܐ ܝܲܩܝܼܪܵܐ ܒܲܪܢܵܫܵܐ ܓܲܒ̣ܝܵܐ. [27]The slothful roasteth not his hunting, And the wealth of a diligent man is precious.
[28]ܒܐܘܼܪܚܵܐ ܕܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܚܲܝܹ̈ܐ. ܘܐܘܼܪܚܵܐ ܕܐܲܟ̇ܬ̣ܵܢܹ̈ܐ ܠܡܵܘܬܵܐ. [28]In the path of righteousness [is] life, And in the way of [that] path [is] no death!
