[1]A Psalm of DavidH1732. JudgeH8199[H8798] me, O LORDH3068; for I have walkedH1980[H8804] in mine integrityH8537: I have trustedH982[H8804] also in the LORDH3068; therefore I shall not slideH4571.[H8799] [1]The title of the sixe and twentithe salm. To Dauid. The Lord is my liytnyng, and myn helthe; whom schal Y drede? The Lord is defendere of my lijf; for whom schal Y tremble?
[2]ExamineH974[H8798] me, O LORDH3068, and proveH5254[H8761] me; tryH6884[H8798] my reinsH3629 and my heartH3820. [2]The while noiful men neiyen on me; for to ete my fleischis. Myn enemyes, that trobliden me; thei weren maad sijk and felden doun.
[3]For thy lovingkindnessH2617 is before mine eyesH5869: and I have walkedH1980[H8694] in thy truthH571. [3]Thouy castels stonden togidere ayens me; myn herte schal not drede. Thouy batel risith ayens me; in this thing Y schal haue hope.
[4]I have not satH3427[H8804] with vainH7723 personsH4962, neither will I go inH935[H8799] with dissemblersH5956.[H8737] [4]I axide of the Lord o thing; Y schal seke this thing; that Y dwelle in the hows of the Lord alle the daies of my lijf. That Y se the wille of the Lord; and that Y visite his temple.
[5]I have hatedH8130[H8804] the congregationH6951 of evil doersH7489[H8688]; and will not sitH3427[H8799] with the wickedH7563. [5]For he hidde me in his tabernacle in the dai of yuelis; he defendide me in the hid place of his tabernacle.
[6]I will washH7364[H8799] mine handsH3709 in innocencyH5356: so will I compassH5437[H8779] thine altarH4196, O LORDH3068: [6]He enhaunside me in a stoon; and now he enhaunside myn heed ouer myn enemyes. I cumpasside, and offride in his tabernacle a sacrifice of criyng; Y schal synge, and Y schal seie salm to the Lord.
[7]That I may publishH8085[H8687] with the voiceH6963 of thanksgivingH8426, and tellH5608[H8763] of all thy wondrous worksH6381.[H8737] [7]Lord, here thou my vois, bi which Y criede to thee; haue thou merci on me, and here me.
[8]LORDH3068, I have lovedH157[H8804] the habitationH4583 of thy houseH1004, and the placeH4725 where thine honourH3519 dwellethH4908. [8]Myn herte seide to thee, My face souyte thee; Lord, Y schal seke eft thi face.
[9]GatherH622[H8799] not my soulH5315 with sinnersH2400, nor my lifeH2416 with bloodyH1818 menH582: [9]Turne thou not awei thi face fro me; bouwe thou not awei in ire fro thi seruaunt. Lord, be thou myn helpere, forsake thou not me; and, God, myn helthe, dispise thou not me.
[10]In whose handsH3027 is mischiefH2154, and their right handH3225 is fullH4390[H8804] of bribesH7810. [10]For my fadir and my modir han forsake me; but the Lord hath take me.
[11]But as for me, I will walkH3212[H8799] in mine integrityH8537: redeemH6299[H8798] me, and be mercifulH2603 unto meH8798. [11]Lord, sette thou a lawe to me in thi weie; and dresse thou me in thi path for myn enemyes.
[12]My footH7272 standethH5975[H8804] in an even placeH4334: in the congregationsH4721 will I blessH1288[H8762] the LORDH3068. [12]Bitake thou not me in to the soules of hem, that troblen me; for wickid witnessis han rise ayens me, and wickydnesse liede to it silf.
