Nestle
Peshitta (Lamsa, 1933)
Pes(Lam)
[No book] [1]WHY do you boast of evil, O mighty man? Your tongue devises injustices against the innocent every day.
[No book] [2]It is like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
[No book] [3]You love evil more than good, and lying rather than speaking righteousness.
[No book] [4]You love all that speak evil and all deceitful tongues;
[No book] [5]Therefore, God shall overthrow you, and he shall root you out of your dwelling place, and out of the land of the living.
[No book] [6]Then shall the righteous see and rejoice, and shall trust in the LORD;
[No book] [7]And they shall say, Lo, this is the man who trusted not in God; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and boasted in his possessions.
[No book] [8]But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I have trusted in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
[No book] [9]I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it; and I will proclaim thy name before thy saints for generations.
