[[To him excelleth.] A Psalm Chapter of David to put in remembrance.]
[1]To the chief MusicianH5329[H8764], A Psalm of DavidH1732, to bring to remembranceH2142[H8687]. Make haste, O GodH430, to deliverH5337[H8687] me; make hasteH2363[H8798] to helpH5833 me, O LORDH3068. [1]O God, haste thee to deliver me: make haste to help me, O Lord.
[2]Let them be ashamedH954[H8799] and confoundedH2659[H8799] that seekH1245[H8764] after my soulH5315: let them be turnedH5472[H8735] backwardH268, and put to confusionH3637[H8735], that desireH2655 my hurtH7451. [2]Let them be confounded and put to shame, that seek my soul: let them be turned backward and put to rebuke, that desire mine hurt.
[3]Let them be turned backH7725[H8799] for a rewardH6118 of their shameH1322 that sayH559[H8802], AhaH1889, ahaH1889. [3]Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame, which said, Aha, aha.
[4]Let all those that seekH1245[H8764] thee rejoiceH7797[H8799] and be gladH8055[H8799] in thee: and let such as loveH157[H8802] thy salvationH3444 sayH559[H8799] continuallyH8548, Let GodH430 be magnifiedH1431.[H8799] [4]But let all those that seek thee, be joyful and glad in thee, and let all that love thy salvation, say always, God be praised.
[5]But I am poorH6041 and needyH34: make hasteH2363[H8798] unto me, O GodH430: thou art my helpH5828 and my delivererH6403[H8764]; O LORDH3068, make no tarryingH309.[H8762] [5]Now I am poor and needy: O God, make haste to me: thou art mine helper, and my deliverer: O Lord, make no tarrying.
