| [1]The foure and nyntithe salm. Come ye, make we ful out ioie to the Lord; hertli synge we to God, oure heelthe. |
[1]אֵל־נְקָמֹ֥ות יְהוָ֑ה אֵ֖ל נְקָמֹ֣ות הֹופִֽיַע׃ |
| [2]Bifore ocupie we his face in knowleching; and hertli synge we to him in salmes. |
[2]הִ֭נָּשֵׂא שֹׁפֵ֣ט הָאָ֑רֶץ הָשֵׁ֥ב גְּ֝מ֗וּל עַל־גֵּאִֽים׃ |
| [3]For God is a greet Lord, and a greet king aboue alle goddis; for the Lord schal not putte awei his puple. |
[3]עַד־מָתַ֖י רְשָׁעִ֥ים ׀ יְהוָ֑ה עַד־מָ֝תַ֗י רְשָׁעִ֥ים יַעֲלֹֽזוּ׃ |
| [4]For alle the endis of erthe ben in his hond; and the hiynesses of hillis ben hise. |
[4]יַבִּ֣יעוּ יְדַבְּר֣וּ עָתָ֑ק יִֽ֝תְאַמְּר֗וּ כָּל־פֹּ֥עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ |
| [5]For the see is his, and he made it; and hise hondis formeden the drie lond. |
[5]עַמְּךָ֣ יְהוָ֣ה יְדַכְּא֑וּ וְֽנַחֲלָתְךָ֥ יְעַנּֽוּ׃ |
| [6]Come ye, herie we, and falle we doun bifore God, wepe we bifore the Lord that made vs; |
[6]אַ֭לְמָנָה וְגֵ֣ר יַהֲרֹ֑גוּ וִֽיתֹומִ֣ים יְרַצֵּֽחוּ׃ |
| [7]for he is oure Lord God. And we ben the puple of his lesewe; and the scheep of his hond. |
[7]וַ֭יֹּ֣אמְרוּ לֹ֣א יִרְאֶה־יָּ֑הּ וְלֹא־יָ֝בִ֗ין אֱלֹהֵ֥י יַעֲקֹֽב׃ |
| [8]If ye han herd his vois to dai; nyle ye make hard youre hertis. |
[8]בִּ֭ינוּ בֹּעֲרִ֣ים בָּעָ֑ם וּ֝כְסִילִ֗ים מָתַ֥י תַּשְׂכִּֽילוּ׃ |
| [9]As in the terryng to wraththe; bi the dai of temptacioun in desert. Where youre fadris temptiden me; thei preueden and sien my werkis. |
[9]הֲנֹ֣טַֽע אֹ֖זֶן הֲלֹ֣א יִשְׁמָ֑ע אִֽם־יֹ֥צֵֽר עַ֝֗יִן הֲלֹ֣א יַבִּֽיט׃ |
| [10]Fourti yeer I was offendid to this generacioun; and Y seide, Euere thei erren in herte. |
[10]הֲיֹסֵ֣ר גֹּ֭ויִם הֲלֹ֣א יֹוכִ֑יחַ הַֽמְלַמֵּ֖ד אָדָ֣ם דָּֽעַת׃ |
| [11]And these men knewen not my weies; to whiche Y swoor in myn ire, thei schulen not entre in to my reste. |
[11]יְֽהוָ֗ה יֹ֭דֵעַ מַחְשְׁבֹ֣ות אָדָ֑ם כִּי־הֵ֥מָּה הָֽבֶל׃ |

[12]אַשְׁרֵ֤י ׀ הַגֶּ֣בֶר אֲשֶׁר־תְּיַסְּרֶ֣נּוּ יָּ֑הּ וּֽמִתֹּורָתְךָ֥ תְלַמְּדֶֽנּוּ׃ |

[13]לְהַשְׁקִ֣יט לֹ֖ו מִ֣ימֵי רָ֑ע עַ֤ד יִכָּרֶ֖ה לָרָשָׁ֣ע שָֽׁחַת׃ |

[14]כִּ֤י ׀ לֹא־יִטֹּ֣שׁ יְהוָ֣ה עַמֹּ֑ו וְ֝נַחֲלָתֹ֗ו לֹ֣א יַעֲזֹֽב׃ |

[15]כִּֽי־עַד־צֶ֭דֶק יָשׁ֣וּב מִשְׁפָּ֑ט וְ֝אַחֲרָ֗יו כָּל־יִשְׁרֵי־לֵֽב׃ |

[16]מִֽי־יָק֣וּם לִ֭י עִם־מְרֵעִ֑ים מִֽי־יִתְיַצֵּ֥ב לִ֝י עִם־פֹּ֥עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ |

[17]לוּלֵ֣י יְ֭הוָה עֶזְרָ֣תָה לִּ֑י כִּמְעַ֓ט ׀ שָֽׁכְנָ֖ה דוּמָ֣ה נַפְשִֽׁי׃ |

[18]אִם־אָ֭מַרְתִּי מָ֣טָה רַגְלִ֑י חַסְדְּךָ֥ יְ֝הוָ֗ה יִסְעָדֵֽנִי׃ |

[19]בְּרֹ֣ב שַׂרְעַפַּ֣י בְּקִרְבִּ֑י תַּ֝נְחוּמֶ֗יךָ יְֽשַׁעַשְׁע֥וּ נַפְשִֽׁי׃ |

[20]הַֽ֭יְחָבְרְךָ כִּסֵּ֣א הַוֹּ֑ות יֹצֵ֖ר עָמָ֣ל עֲלֵי־חֹֽק׃ |

[21]יָ֭גֹודּוּ עַל־נֶ֣פֶשׁ צַדִּ֑יק וְדָ֖ם נָקִ֣י יַרְשִֽׁיעוּ׃ |

[22]וַיְהִ֬י יְהוָ֣ה לִ֣י לְמִשְׂגָּ֑ב וֵ֝אלֹהַ֗י לְצ֣וּר מַחְסִֽי׃ |

[23]וַיָּ֤שֶׁב עֲלֵיהֶ֨ם ׀ אֶת־אֹונָ֗ם וּבְרָעָתָ֥ם יַצְמִיתֵ֑ם יַ֝צְמִיתֵ֗ם יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ |
