[1]In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying, |
| [2]ὀργίζωVSI-API3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἐπίP ὁRA-APM πατήρN3-APM σύRP-GP ὀργήN1-ASF μέγαςA1-ASF |
[2]The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers. |
| [3]καίC εἶπονVF2-FAI2S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-APM ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM παντοκράτωρN3R-NSM ἐπιστρέφωVA-AAD2P πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS καίC ἐπιστρέφωVD-FPI1S πρόςP σύRP-AP λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM |
[3]Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. |
| [4]καίC μήD γίγνομαιV1-PMD2P καθώςD ὁRA-NPM πατήρN3-NPM σύRP-GP ὅςRR-DPM ἐνκαλέωVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-DPM ὁRA-NPM προφήτηςN1M-NPM ὁRA-NPM ἔμπροσθενD λέγωV1-PAPNPM ὁδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM παντοκράτωρN3R-NSM ἀποστρέφωVA-AAD2P ἀπόP ὁRA-GPF ὁδόςN2-GPF σύRP-GP ὁRA-GPF πονηρόςA1A-GPF καίC ἀπόP ὁRA-GPN ἐπιτήδευμαN3M-GPN σύRP-GP ὁRA-GPN πονηρόςA1A-GPN καίC οὐD προςἔχωVBI-AAI3P ὁRA-GSN εἰςἀκούωVA-AAN ἐγώRP-GS λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM |
[4]Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Turn you now from your evil ways, and from your wicked works: but they would not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord. |

[5]Your fathers, where are they? And do the prophets live forever? |
| [6]πλήνD ὁRA-APM λόγοςN2-APM ἐγώRP-GS καίC ὁRA-APN νόμιμοςA1-APN ἐγώRP-GS δέχομαιV1-PMI2P ὅσοςA1-APN ἐγώRP-NS ἐντέλλομαιV1-PMI1S ἐνP πνεῦμαN3M-DSN ἐγώRP-GS ὁRA-DPM δοῦλοςN2-DPM ἐγώRP-GS ὁRA-DPM προφήτηςN1M-DPM ὅςRR-NPM καταλαμβάνωVBI-AAI3P ὁRA-APM πατήρN3-APM σύRP-GP καίC ἀποκρίνωVCI-API3P καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI3P καθώςD παρατάσσωVK-XMI3S κύριοςN2-NSM παντοκράτωρN3R-NSM ὁRA-GSN ποιέωVA-AAN κατάP ὁRA-APF ὁδόςN2-APF σύRP-GP καίC κατάP ὁRA-APN ἐπιτήδευμαN3M-APN σύRP-GP οὕτωςD ποιέωVAI-AAI3S σύRP-DP |
[6]But did not my words and my statutes, which I commanded by my servants the prophets, take hold of your fathers? And they returned, and said, As the Lord of hosts hath determined to do unto us, according to our own ways, and according to our works, so hath he dealt with us. |

[7]Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, |
| [8]ὁράωVX-XAI1S ὁRA-ASF νύξN3-ASF καίC ἰδούI ἀνήρN3-NSM ἐπιβαίνωVX-XAPNSM ἐπίP ἵπποςN2-ASM πυρρόςA1A-ASM καίC οὗτοςRD-NSM ἵστημιVXI-YAI3S ἀνάP μέσοςA1-ASN ὁRA-GPN δύοM ὄροςN3E-GPN ὁRA-GPN κατάσκιοςA1B-GPN καίC ὀπίσωP αὐτόςRD-GSM ἵπποςN2-NPM πυρρόςA1A-NPM καίC ψαρόςA1A-NPM καίC ποικίλοςA1-NPM καίC λευκόςA1-NPM |
[8]I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees, that were in a bottom, and behind him were there red horses speckled and white. |
| [9]καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI1S τίςRI-NSN οὗτοςRD-NPM κύριοςN2-VSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS ὁRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM λαλέωV2-PAPNSM ἐνP ἐγώRP-DS ἐγώRP-NS δεικνύωVF-FAI1S σύRP-DS τίςRI-NSN εἰμίV9-PAI3S οὗτοςRD-NPN |
[9]Then said I, O my Lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me, said unto me, I will show thee what these be. |
| [10]καίC ἀποκρίνωVCI-API3S ὁRA-NSM ἀνήρN3-NSM ὁRA-NSM ἐπιἵστημιVXI-XAPNSM ἀνάP μέσοςA1-ASN ὁRA-GPN ὄροςN3E-GPN καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS οὗτοςRD-NPM εἰμίV9-PAI3P ὅςRR-APM ἐκ ἀποστέλλωVX-XAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSN περιὁδεύωVA-AAN ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF |
[10]And the man that stood among the myrtle trees, answered, and said, These are they whom the Lord hath sent to go through the world. |
| [11]καίC ἀποκρίνωVCI-API3P ὁRA-DSM ἄγγελοςN2-DSM κύριοςN2-GSM ὁRA-DSM ἐπιἵστημιVXI-XAPDSM ἀνάP μέσοςA1-ASN ὁRA-GPN ὄροςN3E-GPN καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3P περιὁδεύωVX-XAI1P πᾶςA1S-ASF ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF καίC ἰδούI πᾶςA1S-NSF ὁRA-NSF γῆN1-NSF καταοἰκέωV2-PMI3S καίC ἡσυχάζωV1-PAI3S |
[11]And they answered the angel of the Lord, that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have gone through the world: and behold, all the world sitteth still, and is at rest. |
| [12]καίC ἀποκρίνωVCI-API3S ὁRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-VSM παντοκράτωρN3R-VSM ἕωςP τίςRI-GSM οὐD μήD ἐλεέωVA-AAS2S ὁRA-ASF *ἰερουσαλήμN--ASF καίC ὁRA-APF πόλιςN3I-APF *ιουδαN--GSM ὅςRR-APF ὑπερὁράωVBI-AAI2S οὗτοςRD-ASN ἑβδομηκοστόςA1-ASN ἔτοςN3E-ASN |
[12]Then the angel of the Lord answered and said, O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou be unmerciful to Jerusalem, and to the cities of Judah, with whom thou hast been displeased now these threescore and ten years? |
| [13]καίC ἀποκρίνωVCI-API3S κύριοςN2-NSM παντοκράτωρN3R-NSM ὁRA-DSM ἄγγελοςN2-DSM ὁRA-DSM λαλέωV2-PAPDSM ἐνP ἐγώRP-DS ῥῆμαN3M-APN καλόςA1-APN καίC λόγοςN2-APM παρακλητικόςA1-APM |
[13]And the Lord answered the angel that talked with me, with good words and comfortable words. |
| [14]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS ὁRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM λαλέωV2-PAPNSM ἐνP ἐγώRP-DS ἀνακράζωVB-AAD2S λέγωV1-PAPNSM ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM παντοκράτωρN3R-NSM ζηλόωVX-XAI1S ὁRA-ASF *ἰερουσαλήμN--ASF καίC ὁRA-ASF *σιωνN--ASF ζῆλοςN2-ASM μέγαςA1P-ASM |
[14]So the angel that communed with me, said unto me, Cry thou, and speak, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I am jealous over Jerusalem and Zion with a great zeal, |
| [15]καίC ὀργήN1-ASF μέγαςA1-ASF ἐγώRP-NS ὀργίζωV1-PMI1S ἐπίP ὁRA-APN ἔθνοςN3E-APN ὁRA-APN συν ἐπιτίθημιV7-PMPAPN ἀντίP ὅςRR-GPM ἐγώRP-NS μένX ὀργίζωVSI-API1S ὀλίγοςA1-APN αὐτόςRD-NPM δέX συν ἐπιτίθημιVE-AMI3S εἰςP κακόςA1-APN |
[15]And am greatly angry against the careless heathen: for I was angry but a little, and they helped forward the affliction. |
| [16]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἐπιστρέφωVF-FAI1S ἐπίP *ἰερουσαλήμN--ASF ἐνP οἰκτιρμόςN2-DSM καίC ὁRA-NSM οἶκοςN2-NSM ἐγώRP-GS ἀναοἰκοδομέωVC-FPI3S ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DSF λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM παντοκράτωρN3R-NSM καίC μέτρονN2N-NSN ἐκτείνωVC-FPI3S ἐπίP *ἰερουσαλήμN--ASF ἔτιD |
[16]Therefore thus saith the Lord, I will return unto Jerusalem with tender mercy: mine house shall be builded in it, saith the Lord of hosts, and a line shall be stretched upon Jerusalem. |
| [17]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS ὁRA-NSM ἄγγελοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM λαλέωV2-PAPNSM ἐνP ἐγώRP-DS ἀνακράζωVB-AAD2S λέγωV1-PAPNSM ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM παντοκράτωρN3R-NSM ἔτιD διαχέωVC-FPI3P πόλιςN3I-NPF ἐνP ἀγαθόςA1-DPN καίC ἐλεέωVF-FAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἔτιD ὁRA-ASF *σιωνN--ASF καίC αἱρετίζωVF2-FAI3S ἔτιD ὁRA-ASF *ἰερουσαλήμN--ASF |
[17]Cry yet, and speak, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, My cities shall yet be broken with plenty: the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem. |

[18]Then lift I up mine eyes and saw, and behold, four horns. |
| 19[No verse] |
[19]And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. |

[20]And the Lord showed me four carpenters. |
| 21[No verse] |
[21]Then said I, What come these to do? And he answered, and said, These are the horns, which have scattered Judah, so that a man durst not lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, and to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lift up their horn over the land of Judah, to scatter it. |
