[1]And it came to pass in the fourth year of Darius the king, that the word of the Lord came to Zacharias on the fourth day of the ninth month, which is Chaseleu. |
| [2]καίC ἐκ ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S εἰςP *βαιθηλN--AS *σαρασαρN--ASM καίC *αρβεσεερN--ASM ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM καίC ὁRA-NPM ἀνήρN3-NPM αὐτόςRD-GSM ὁRA-GSN ἐκἱλάσκομαιVA-AMN ὁRA-ASM κύριοςN2-ASM |
[2]And Sarasar and Arbeseer the king and his men sent to Bethel, and that to propitiate the Lord, |
| [3]λέγωV1-PAPNSM πρόςP ὁRA-APM ἱερεύςN3V-NPM ὁRA-APM ἐνP ὁRA-DSM οἶκοςN2-DSM κύριοςN2-GSM παντοκράτωρN3R-GSM καίC πρόςP ὁRA-APM προφήτηςN1M-APM λέγωV1-PAPNSM εἰςἐρχομαιVX-XAI3S ὧδεD ἐνP ὁRA-DSM μήνN3-DSM ὁRA-DSM πέμπτοςA1-DSM ὁRA-NSN ἁγίασμαN3M-NSN καθότιD ποιέωVAI-AAI1S ἤδηD ἱκανόςA1-APN ἔτοςN3E-APN |
[3]speaking to the priests that were in the house of the Lord Almighty, and to the prophets, saying, The holy offering has come in hither in the fifth month, as it has done already many years. |
| [4]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S λόγοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM ὁRA-GPF δύναμιςN3I-GPF πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS λέγωV1-PAPNSM |
[4]And the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying, |
| [5]εἶπονVB-AAD2S πρόςP ἅπαςA3-ASM ὁRA-ASM λαόςN2-ASM ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF καίC πρόςP ὁRA-APM ἱερεύςN3V-NPM λέγωV1-PAPNSM ἐάνC νηστεύωVA-AAS2P ἤC κόπτωVA-AMS2P ἐνP ὁRA-DPF πέμπτοςA1-DPF ἤC ἐνP ὁRA-DPF ἕβδομοςA1-DPF καίC ἰδούI ἑβδομήκονταM ἔτοςN3E-APN μήD νηστείαN1A-ASF νηστεύωVX-XAI2P ἐγώRP-DS |
[5]Speak to the whole people of the land, and to the priests, saying, Though ye fasted or lamented in the fifth or seventh months (yea, behold, these seventy years) have ye at all fasted to me? |
| [6]καίC ἐάνC ἐσθίωVB-AAS2P ἤC πίνωVB-AAS2P οὐD σύRP-NP ἐσθίωV1-PAI2P καίC σύRP-NP πίνωV1-PAI2P |
[6]And if ye eat or drink, do ye not eat and drink for yourselves? |
| [7]οὐD οὗτοςRD-NPM ὁRA-NPM λόγοςN2-NPM εἰμίV9-PAI3P ὅςRR-APM λαλέωVAI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἐνP χείρN3-DPF ὁRA-GPM προφήτηςN1M-GPM ὁRA-GPM ἔμπροσθενD ὅτεD εἰμίV9-IAI3S *ἰερουσαλήμN--NSF καταοἰκέωV2-PMPNSF καίC εὐθηνέωV2-PAPNSF καίC ὁRA-NPF πόλιςN3I-NPF αὐτόςRD-GSF κυκλόθενD καίC ὁRA-NSF ὀρεινήN1-NSF καίC ὁRA-NSF πεδεινόςA1-NSF καταοἰκέωV2I-IMI3S |
[7]Are not these the words which the Lord spoke by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and her cities round about her, and the hill country and the low country was inhabited? |
| [8]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S λόγοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM πρόςP *ζαχαριαςN1T-ASM λέγωV1-PAPNSM |
[8]And the word of the Lord came to Zacharias, saying, |
| [9]ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM παντοκράτωρN3R-NSM κρίμαN3M-ASN δίκαιοςA1A-ASN κρίνωVA-AAD2P καίC ἔλεοςN3E-ASN καίC οἰκτιρμόςA3N-ASM ποιέωV2-PAI2P ἕκαστοςA1-VSM πρόςP ὁRA-ASM ἀδελφόςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[9]Thus saith the Lord Almighty; Judge righteous judgment, and deal mercifully and compassionately every one with his brother: |
| [10]καίC χήραN1A-ASF καίC ὀρφανόςA1-ASM καίC προσήλυτοςN2-ASM καίC πένηςN3T-ASM μήD καταδυναστεύωV1-PAD2P καίC κακίαN1A-ASF ἕκαστοςA1-NSM ὁRA-GSM ἀδελφόςN2-GSM αὐτόςRD-GSM μήD μνησικακέωV2-PAD3S ἐνP ὁRA-DPF καρδίαN1A-DPF σύRP-GP |
[10]and oppress not the widow, or the fatherless, or the stranger, or the poor; and let not one of you remember in his heart the injury of his brother. |
| [11]καίC ἀπειθέωVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-GSN προςἔχωV1-PAN καίC δίδωμιVAI-AAI3P νῶτονN2N-ASM παραφρονέωV2-PAPASM καίC ὁRA-APN οὖςN3T-APN αὐτόςRD-GPM ἐβάρυνανVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-GSN μήD εἰςἀκούωV1-PAN |
[11]But they refused to attend, and madly turned their back, and made their ears heavy, so that they should not hear. |
| [12]καίC ὁRA-ASF καρδίαN1A-ASF αὐτόςRD-GPM τάσσωVAI-AAI3P ἀπειθήςA3-APF ὁRA-GSN μήD εἰςἀκούωV1-PAN ὁRA-GSM νόμοςN2-GSM ἐγώRP-GS καίC ὁRA-APM λόγοςN2-APM ὅςRR-APM ἐκ ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM παντοκράτωρN3R-NSM ἐνP πνεῦμαN3M-DSN αὐτόςRD-GSM ἐνP χείρN3-DPF ὁRA-GPM προφήτηςN1M-GPM ὁRA-GPM ἔμπροσθενD καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S ὀργήN1-NSF μέγαςA1-NSF παράP κύριοςN2-GSM παντοκράτωρN3R-GSM |
[12]And they made their heart disobedient, so as not to hearken to my law, and the words which the Lord Almighty sent forth by his Spirit by the former prophets: so there was great wrath from the Lord Almighty. |
| [13]καίC εἰμίV9-FMI3S ὅςRR-ASM τρόποςN2-ASM εἶπονVBI-AAI3S καίC οὐD εἰςἀκούωVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-GSM οὕτωςD κράζωVFX-FMI3P καίC οὐD μήD εἰςἀκούωVF-FAI1S λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM παντοκράτωρN3R-NSM |
[13]And it shall come to pass, that as he spoke, and they hearkened not, so they shall cry, and I will not hearken, saith the Lord Almighty. |
| [14]καίC ἐκβάλλωVF2-FAI1S αὐτόςRD-APM εἰςP πᾶςA3-APN ὁRA-APN ἔθνοςN3E-APN ὅςRR-APN οὐD γιγνώσκωVZI-AAI3P καίC ὁRA-NSF γῆN1-NSF ἀπο ἀναἵζωVS-FPI3P κατόπισθενD αὐτόςRD-GPM ἐκP διαὁδεύωV1-PAPGSM καίC ἐκP ἀναστρέφωV1-PAPGSM καίC τάσσωVAI-AAI3P γῆN1-ASF ἐκλεκτόςA1-ASF εἰςP ἀφανισμόςN2-ASM |
[14]And I will cast them out among all the nations, whom they know not; and the land behind them shall be made utterly destitute of any going through or returning: yea they have made the choice land a desolation. |
