Peshitta NT (literal)
PesNT(lit)
Vulgata Clementina (1592)
Vul
[1]Beg I therefore of you that from before all things supplications you will offer to Alaha and prayers and intercessions and thanksgiving for the sake of all of them the children of men [1]Obsecro igitur primum omnium fieri obsecrationes, orationes, postulationes, gratiarum actiones, pro omnibus hominibus:
[2]For the sake of kings and rulers that a way of life quiet and tranquil we may inhabit in entire reverence to Alaha and purity [2]pro regibus, et omnibus qui in sublimitate sunt, ut quietam et tranquillam vitam agamus in omni pietate, et castitate:
[3]This for is pleasing and acceptable before Alaha our Lifegiver [3]hoc enim bonum est, et acceptum coram Salvatore nostro Deo,
[4]He Who wills that all of them the children of men shall have life and they shall return to the knowledge of the truth [4]qui omnes homines vult salvos fieri, et ad agnitionem veritatis venire.
[5]One is for Alaha and One is The Mediator of Alaha and of the sons of men The Son of Man Ieshu The Messiah [5]Unus enim Deus, unus et mediator Dei et hominum homo Christus Jesus:
[6]He Who gave Himself a ransom in the place of every person a testimony that has come in its time [6]qui dedit redemptionem semetipsum pro omnibus, testimonium temporibus suis:
[7]That of which I I am appointed its preacher and apostle of truth say I and not lie I that I am the teacher of the nations in belief of the truth [7]in quo positus sum ego prædicator, et Apostolus (veritatem dico, non mentior) doctor gentium in fide, et veritate.
[8]Willing I am therefore that would pray men in every place while lifting their hands in purity without rage and without plots [8]Volo ergo viros orare in omni loco, levantes puras manus sine ira et disceptatione.
[9]In this way also the women in fashion shall be modest of dress in bashfulness and in modesty shall be their adornment not in braiding and with gold or with pearls or in robes lovely [9]Similiter et mulieres in habitu ornato, cum verecundia et sobrietate ornantes se, et non in tortis crinibus, aut auro, aut margaritas, vel veste pretiosa:
[10]But in works good just as is suitable for women who profess worship of Alaha [10]sed quod decet mulieres, promittentes pietatem per opera bona.
[11]A woman in silence let learn in all submission [11]Mulier in silentio discat cum omni subjectione.
[12]For a woman because to teach not allow I neither to usurp over a man but she should be quiet [12]Docere autem mulierem non permitto, neque dominari in virum: sed esse in silentio.
[13]Adam for was formed first and then Khawwa [13]Adam enim primus formatus est: deinde Heva:
[14]And Adam not was deceived the woman but was deceived and violated against the command [14]et Adam non est seductus: mulier autem seducta in prævaricatione fuit.
[15]She lives but by her children if they continue in faith and in love and in holiness and in modesty [15]Salvabitur autem per filiorum generationem, si permanserit in fide, et dilectione, et sanctificatione cum sobrietate.
