[2]Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother. |
| [3]And they committed whoredomsH2181[H8799] in EgyptH4714; they committed whoredomsH2181[H8804] in their youthH5271: there were their breastsH7699 pressedH4600[H8795], and there they bruisedH6213[H8765] the teatsH1717 of their virginityH1331. |
[3]And they committed fornication in Egypt, they committed fornication in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity. |

[7]Thus she committed her whoredom with them, even with all them that were the chosen men of Assyria, and with all on whom she doted, and defiled herself with all their idols. |

[8]Neither left she her fornications, learned of the Egyptians: for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised the breasts of her virginity, and poured their whoredom upon her. |

[9]Wherefore I delivered her into the hands of her lovers, even into the hands of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted. |

[11]And when her sister Aholibah saw this, she marred herself with inordinate love, more than she, and with her fornications more than her sister with her fornications. |

[12]She doted upon the Assyrians her neighbors, both captains and princes clothed with divers suits, horsemen riding upon horses: they were all pleasant young men. |

[13]Then I saw that she was defiled, and that they were both after one sort, |

[14]And that she increased her fornications: for when she saw men painted upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans painted with vermilion, |

[15]And girded with girdles upon their loins, and with dyed attire upon their heads (looking all like princes after the manner of the Babylonians in Chaldea, the land of their nativity) |

[16]As soon, I say, as she saw them, she doted upon them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea. |
| [17]And the BabyloniansH1121[H894] cameH935[H8799] to her into the bedH4904 of loveH1730, and they defiledH2930[H8762] her with their whoredomH8457, and she was pollutedH2930[H8799] with them, and her mindH5315 was alienatedH3363 from themH8799. |
[17]Now when the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, they defiled her with their fornication, and she was polluted with them, and her lust departed from them. |
| [18]So she discoveredH1540[H8762] her whoredomsH8457, and discoveredH1540[H8762] her nakednessH6172: then my mindH5315 was alienatedH3363[H8799] from her, like as my mindH5315 was alienatedH5361[H8804] from her sisterH269. |
[18]So she discovered her fornication, and disclosed her shame: then mine heart forsook her, like as mine heart had forsaken her sister. |
| [19]Yet she multipliedH7235[H8686] her whoredomsH8457, in calling to remembranceH2142[H8800] the daysH3117 of her youthH5271, wherein she had played the harlotH2181[H8804] in the landH776 of EgyptH4714. |
[19]Yet she increased her whoredom more, and called to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt. |
| [20]For she dotedH5689[H8799] upon their paramoursH6370, whose fleshH1320 is as the fleshH1320 of assesH2543, and whose issueH2231 is like the issueH2231 of horsesH5483. |
[20]For she doted upon their servants whose members are as the members of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses. |
| [21]Thus thou calledst to remembranceH6485[H8799] the lewdnessH2154 of thy youthH5271, in bruisingH6213[H8800] thy teatsH1717 by the EgyptiansH4714 for the papsH7699 of thy youthH5271. |
[21]Thou callest to remembrance the wickedness of thy youth, when thy teats were bruised by the Egyptians: therefore the paps of thy youth are thus. |
| [22]Therefore, O AholibahH172, thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; Behold, I will raise upH5782[H8688] thy loversH157[H8764] against thee, from whom thy mindH5315 is alienatedH5361[H8804], and I will bringH935[H8689] them against thee on every sideH5439; |
[22]Therefore, O Aholibah, thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thine heart is departed, and I will bring them against thee on every side, |
| [23]The BabyloniansH1121[H894], and all the ChaldeansH3778, PekodH6489, and ShoaH7772, and KoaH6970, and all the AssyriansH1121[H804] with them: all of them desirableH2531 young menH970, captainsH6346 and rulersH5461, great lordsH7991 and renownedH7121[H8803], all of them ridingH7392[H8802] upon horsesH5483. |
[23]To wit, the Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, Peked, and Shoah, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them: they were all pleasant young men, captains and princes: all they were valiant and renowned, riding upon horses. |
| [24]And they shall comeH935[H8804] against thee with chariotsH2021, wagonsH7393, and wheelsH1534, and with an assemblyH6951 of peopleH5971, which shall setH7760[H8799] against thee bucklerH6793 and shieldH4043 and helmetH6959 round aboutH5439: and I will setH5414[H8804] judgmentH4941 beforeH6440 them, and they shall judgeH8199[H8804] thee according to their judgmentsH4941. |
[24]Even these shall come against thee with chariots, wagons, and wheels, and with a multitude of people, which shall set against thee, buckler and shield, and helmet round about: and I will leave the punishment unto them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments. |

[25]And I will lay mine indignation upon thee, and they shall deal cruelly with thee: they shall cut off thy nose and thine ears, and thy remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall carry away thy sons and thy daughters, and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire. |

[26]They shall also strip thee out of thy clothes, and take away thy fair jewels. |
| [27]Thus will I make thy lewdnessH2154 to ceaseH7673[H8689] from thee, and thy whoredomH2184 brought from the landH776 of EgyptH4714: so that thou shalt not lift upH5375[H8799] thine eyesH5869 unto them, nor rememberH2142[H8799] Egypt any moreH4714. |
[27]Thus will I make thy wickedness to cease from thee and thy fornication out of the land of Egypt: so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt anymore. |
| [28]For thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; Behold, I will deliverH5414[H8802] thee into the handH3027 of them whom thou hatestH8130[H8804], into the handH3027 of them from whom thy mindH5315 is alienatedH5361:[H8804] |
[28]For thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will deliver thee into the hand of them, whom thou hatest: even into the hands of them from whom thine heart is departed. |
| [29]And they shall dealH6213[H8804] with thee hatefullyH8135, and shall take awayH3947[H8804] all thy labourH3018, and shall leaveH5800[H8804] thee nakedH5903 and bareH6181: and the nakednessH6172 of thy whoredomsH2183 shall be discoveredH1540[H8738], both thy lewdnessH2154 and thy whoredomsH8457. |
[29]And they shall handle thee despitefully, and shall take away all thy labor, and shall leave thee naked and bare, and the shame of thy fornications shall be discovered, both thy wickedness, and thy whoredom. |
| [30]I will doH6213[H8800] these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoringH2181[H8800] afterH310 the heathenH1471, and because thou art pollutedH2930[H8738] with their idolsH1544. |
[30]I will do these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols. |
| [31]Thou hast walkedH1980[H8804] in the wayH1870 of thy sisterH269; therefore will I giveH5414[H8804] her cupH3563 into thine handH3027. |
[31]Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister: therefore will I give her cup into thine hand. |
| [32]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; Thou shalt drinkH8354[H8799] of thy sister'sH269 cupH3563 deepH6013 and largeH7342: thou shalt be laughed to scornH6712 and had in derisionH3933; it containethH3557[H8687] muchH4767. |
[32]Thus saith the Lord God, Thou shalt drink of thy sister's cup, deep and large: thou shalt be laughed to scorn and had in derision, because it containeth much. |
| [33]Thou shalt be filledH4390[H8735] with drunkennessH7943 and sorrowH3015, with the cupH3563 of astonishmentH8047 and desolationH8077, with the cupH3563 of thy sisterH269 SamariaH8111. |
[33]Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, even with the cup of destruction, and desolation, with the cup of thy sister Samaria. |

[34]Thou shalt even drink it, and wring it out to the dregs, and thou shalt break the shards thereof, and tear thine own breasts: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God. |

[35]Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore thou shalt also bear thy wickedness and thy whoredom. |
| [36]The LORDH3068 saidH559[H8799] moreover unto me; SonH1121 of manH120, wilt thou judgeH8199[H8799] AholahH170 and AholibahH172? yea, declareH5046[H8685] unto them their abominationsH8441; |
[36]The Lord said moreover unto me, Son of man, wilt thou judge Aholah and Aholibah? and wilt thou declare to them their abominations? |
| [37]That they have committed adulteryH5003[H8765], and bloodH1818 is in their handsH3027, and with their idolsH1544 have they committed adulteryH5003[H8765], and have also caused their sonsH1121, whom they bareH3205[H8804] unto me, to pass for them throughH5674[H8689] the fire, to devour themH402. |
[37]For they have played the whores, and blood is in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bear unto me, to pass by the fire to be their meat. |
| [38]Moreover this they have doneH6213[H8804] unto me: they have defiledH2930[H8765] my sanctuaryH4720 in the same dayH3117, and have profanedH2490[H8765] my sabbathsH7676. |
[38]Moreover, thus have they done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my Sabbaths. |
| [39]For when they had slainH7819[H8800] their childrenH1121 to their idolsH1544, then they cameH935[H8799] the same dayH3117 into my sanctuaryH4720 to profaneH2490[H8763] it; and, lo, thus have they doneH6213[H8804] in the midstH8432 of mine houseH1004. |
[39]For when they had slain their children to their idols, they came the same day into my sanctuary to defile it: and lo, thus have they done in the midst of mine house. |
| [40]And furthermoreH637, that ye have sentH7971[H8799] for menH582 to comeH935[H8802] from farH4801, unto whom a messengerH4397 was sentH7971[H8803]; and, lo, they cameH935[H8804]: for whom thou didst washH7364[H8804] thyself, paintedstH3583[H8804] thy eyesH5869, and deckedstH5710[H8804] thyself with ornamentsH5716, |
[40]And how much more is it that they sent for men to come from far unto whom a messenger was sent, and lo, they came? For whom thou didst wash thyself, and paintest thine eyes, and deckest thee with ornaments, |
| [41]And satestH3427[H8804] upon a statelyH3520 bedH4296, and a tableH7979 preparedH6186[H8803] beforeH6440 it, whereupon thou hast setH7760[H8804] mine incenseH7004 and mine oilH8081. |
[41]And satest upon a costly bed, and a table prepared before it, whereupon thou hast set mine incense and mine oil. |
| [42]And a voiceH6963 of a multitudeH1995 being at easeH7961 was with her: and with the menH582 of the common sortH7230[H120] were broughtH935[H8716] SabeansH5436[H8675][H5433][H8802] from the wildernessH4057, which putH5414[H8799] braceletsH6781 upon their handsH3027, and beautifulH8597 crownsH5850 upon their headsH7218. |
[42]And a voice of a multitude being at ease, was with her: and with the men to make the company great were brought men of Saba from the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads. |
| [43]Then saidH559[H8799] I unto her that was oldH1087 in adulteriesH5004, Will they now commitH2181[H8799] whoredoms with her, and she with themH8457? |
[43]Then I said unto her, that was old in adulteries, Now shall she and her fornications come to an end. |
| [44]Yet they went inH935[H8799] unto her, as they go inH935[H8800] unto a womanH802 that playeth the harlotH2181[H8802]: so went they inH935[H8804] unto AholahH170 and unto AholibahH172, the lewdH2154 womenH802. |
[44]And they went in unto her as they go to a common harlot: so went they to Aholah and Aholibah the wicked women. |
| [45]And the righteousH6662 menH582, they shall judgeH8199[H8799] them after the mannerH4941 of adulteressesH5003[H8802], and after the mannerH4941 of women that shedH8210[H8802] bloodH1818; because they are adulteressesH5003[H8802], and bloodH1818 is in their handsH3027. |
[45]And the righteous men they shall judge them, after the manner of harlots, and after the manner of murderers: for they are harlots, and blood is in their hands. |
| [46]For thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; I will bring upH5927[H8687] a companyH6951 upon them, and will giveH5414[H8800] them to be removedH2189 and spoiledH957. |
[46]Wherefore thus saith the Lord God, I will bring a multitude upon them, and will give them unto the tumult, and to the spoil, |
| [47]And the companyH6951 shall stoneH7275[H8804] them with stonesH68, and dispatchH1254[H8763] them with their swordsH2719; they shall slayH2026[H8799] their sonsH1121 and their daughtersH1323, and burn upH8313[H8799] their housesH1004 with fireH784. |
[47]And the multitude shall stone them with stones, and cut them with their swords: they shall slay their sons, and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire. |
| [48]Thus will I cause lewdnessH2154 to ceaseH7673[H8689] out of the landH776, that all womenH802 may be taughtH3256[H8739] not to doH6213[H8799] after your lewdnessH2154. |
[48]Thus will I cause wickedness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your wickedness. |
| [49]And they shall recompenseH5414[H8804] your lewdnessH2154 upon you, and ye shall bearH5375[H8799] the sinsH2399 of your idolsH1544: and ye shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LordH136 GODH3069. |
[49]And they shall lay your wickedness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols, and ye shall know that I am the Lord God. |
