[1]The titil of the foure and sixtithe salm. `To victorie, `the salm of the song of Dauid. [1]To the chief MusicianH5329[H8764], A PsalmH4210 of DavidH1732. HearH8085[H8798] my voiceH6963, O GodH430, in my prayerH7879: preserveH5341[H8799] my lifeH2416 from fearH6343 of the enemyH341.[H8802]
[2]God, heriyng bicometh thee in Syon; and a vow schal be yolden to thee in Jerusalem. [2]HideH5641[H8686] me from the secret counselH5475 of the wickedH7489[H8688]; from the insurrectionH7285 of the workersH6466[H8802] of iniquityH205:
[3]Here thou my preier; ech man schal come to thee. [3]Who whetH8150[H8804] their tongueH3956 like a swordH2719, and bendH1869[H8804] their bows to shoot their arrowsH2671, even bitterH4751 wordsH1697:
[4]The wordis of wickid men hadden the maistrye ouer vs; and thou schalt do merci to oure wickidnessis. [4]That they may shootH3384[H8800] in secretH4565 at the perfectH8535: suddenlyH6597 do they shootH3384[H8686] at him, and fearH3372 notH8799.
[5]Blessid is he, whom thou hast chose, and hast take; he schal dwelle in thin hallis. We schulen be fillid with the goodis of thin hous; [5]They encourageH2388[H8762] themselves in an evilH7451 matterH1697: they communeH5608[H8762] of layingH2934 snaresH4170 privilyH2934[H8800]; they sayH559[H8804], Who shall seeH7200 themH8799?
[6]thi temple is hooli, wondurful in equite. God, oure heelthe, here thou vs; thou art hope of alle coostis of erthe, and in the see afer. [6]They search outH2664[H8799] iniquitiesH5766; they accomplishH8552[H8804] a diligentH2664[H8794] searchH2665: both the inwardH7130 thought of every oneH376 of them, and the heartH3820, is deepH6013.
[7]And thou makest redi hillis in thi vertu, and art gird with power; [7]But GodH430 shall shootH3384[H8686] at them with an arrowH2671; suddenlyH6597 shall they be woundedH4347.
[8]which disturblist the depthe of the see, the soun of the wawis therof. [8]So they shall make their own tongueH3956 to fallH3782[H8686] upon themselves: all that seeH7200[H8802] them shall flee awayH5074.[H8709]
[9]Folkis schulen be disturblid, and thei that dwellen in the endis schulen drede of thi signes; thou schalt delite the outgoingis of the morewtid and euentid. [9]And all menH120 shall fearH3372[H8799], and shall declareH5046[H8686] the workH6467 of GodH430; for they shall wisely considerH7919[H8689] of his doingH4639.
[10]Thou hast visitid the lond, and hast greetli fillid it; thou hast multiplied to make it riche. The flood of God was fillid with watris; thou madist redi the mete of hem, for the makyng redi therof is so. [10]The righteousH6662 shall be gladH8055[H8799] in the LORDH3068, and shall trustH2620[H8804] in him; and all the uprightH3477 in heartH3820 shall gloryH1984.[H8691]
