[1]And if there arise within thee a prophet, or one who dreams a dream, and he gives thee a sign or a wonder, |
| [2]ἐάνC δέX ἀναἵστημιVH-AAS3S ἐνP σύRP-DS προφήτηςN1M-NSM ἤC ἐνὑπνιάζωV1-PMPNSM ἐνύπνιονN2N-ASN καίC δίδωμιVO-AAS3S σύRP-DS σημεῖονN2N-ASN ἤC τέραςN3T-ASN |
[2]and the sign or the wonder come to pass which he spoke to thee, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye know not; |
| [3]καίC ἔρχομαιVB-AAS3S ὁRA-NSN σημεῖονN2N-NSN ἤC ὁRA-NSN τέραςN3T-NSN ὅςRR-ASN λαλέωVAI-AAI3S πρόςP σύRP-AS λέγωV1-PAPNSM πορεύομαιVC-APS1P καίC λατρεύωVA-AAS1P θεόςN2-DPM ἕτεροςA1A-DPM ὅςRR-APM οὐD οἶδαVX-XAI2P |
[3]ye shall not hearken to the words of that prophet, or the dreamer of that dream, because the Lord thy God tries you, to know whether ye love your God with all your heart and with all your soul. |
| [4]οὐD ἀκούωVF-FMI2P ὁRA-GPM λόγοςN2-GPM ὁRA-GSM προφήτηςN1M-GSM ἐκεῖνοςRD-GSM ἤC ὁRA-GSM ἐνὑπνιάζωV1-PMPGSM ὁRA-ASN ἐνύπνιονN2N-ASN ἐκεῖνοςRD-ASN ὅτιC πειράζωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM σύRP-AP οἶδαVX-XAN εἰC ἀγαπάωV3-PAI2P κύριοςN2-ASM ὁRA-ASM θεόςN2-ASM σύRP-GP ἐκP ὅλοςA1-GSF ὁRA-GSF καρδίαN1A-GSF σύRP-GP καίC ἐκP ὅλοςA1-GSF ὁRA-GSF ψυχήN1-GSF σύRP-GP |
[4]Ye shall follow the Lord your God, and fear him, and ye shall hear his voice, and attach yourselves to him. |
| [5]ὀπίσωP κύριοςN2-GSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM σύRP-GP πορεύομαιV1-PMD2P καίC αὐτόςRD-ASM φοβέωVC-FPI2P καίC ὁRA-APF ἐντολήN1A-APF αὐτόςRD-GSM φυλάσσωVF-FMI2P καίC ὁRA-GSF φωνήN1-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀκούωVF-FMI2P καίC αὐτόςRD-DSM προςτίθημιVC-FPI2P |
[5]And that prophet or that dreamer of a dream, shall die; for he has spoken to make thee err from the Lord thy God who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, who redeemed thee from bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the Lord thy God commanded thee to walk in: so shalt thou abolish the evil from among you. |
| [6]καίC ὁRA-NSM προφήτηςN1M-NSM ἐκεῖνοςRD-NSM ἤC ὁRA-NSM ὁRA-ASN ἐνύπνιονN2N-ASN ἐνὑπνιάζωV1-PMPNSM ἐκεῖνοςRD-NSM ἀποθνήσκωVF2-FMI3S λαλέωVAI-AAI3S γάρX πλανάωVA-AAN σύRP-AS ἀπόP κύριοςN2-GSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM σύRP-GS ὁRA-GSM ἐκἄγωVB-AAPGSM σύRP-AS ἐκP γῆN1-GSF *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF ὁRA-GSM λυτρόωVA-AMPGSM σύRP-AS ἐκP ὁRA-GSF δουλείαN1A-GSF ἐκὠθέωVA-AAN σύRP-AS ἐκP ὁRA-GSF ὁδόςN2-GSF ὅςRR-GSF ἐντέλλομαιVAI-AMI3S σύRP-DS κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS πορεύομαιV1-PMN ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DSF καίC ἀπο ἀναἵζωVF2-FAI2S ὁRA-ASM πονηρόςA1A-ASM ἐκP σύRP-GP αὐτόςRD-GPM |
[6]And if thy brother by thy father or mother, or thy son, or daughter, or thy wife in thy bosom, or friend who is equal to thine own soul, entreat thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, |
| [7]ἐάνC δέX παρακαλέωVA-AAS3S σύRP-AS ὁRA-NSM ἀδελφόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS ἐκP πατήρN3-GSM σύRP-GS ἤC ἐκP μήτηρN3R-GSF σύRP-GS ἤC ὁRA-NSM υἱόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS ἤC ὁRA-NSF θυγάτηρN3-NSF σύRP-GS ἤC ὁRA-NSF γυνήN3K-NSF ὁRA-NSF ἐνP κόλποςN2-DSM σύRP-GS ἤC ὁRA-NSM φίλοςA1-NSM ὁRA-NSM ἴσοςA1-NSM ὁRA-GSF ψυχήN1-GSF σύRP-GS λάθραD λέγωV1-PAPNSM βαδίζωVA-AAS1P καίC λατρεύωVA-AAS1P θεόςN2-DPM ἕτεροςA1A-DPM ὅςRR-APM οὐD οἶδαVXI-YAI2S σύRP-NS καίC ὁRA-NPM πατήρN3-NPM σύRP-GS |
[7]of the gods of the nations that are round about you, who are near thee or at a distance from thee, from one end of the earth to the other; |
| [8]ἀπόP ὁRA-GPM θεόςN2-GPM ὁRA-GPN ἔθνοςN3E-GPN ὁRA-GPN περικύκλῳD σύRP-GP ὁRA-GPN ἐγγίζωV1-PAPGPN σύRP-DS ἤC ὁRA-GPN μακράνD ἀπόP σύRP-GS ἀπόP ἄκροςA1A-GSN ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ἕωςP ἄκροςA1A-GSN ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF |
[8]thou shalt not consent to him, neither shalt thou hearken to him; and thine eye shall not spare him, thou shalt feel no regret for him, neither shalt thou at all protect him: |
| [9]οὐD συνθέλωVF-FAI2S αὐτόςRD-DSM καίC οὐD εἰςἀκούωVF-FMI2S αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC οὐD φείδομαιVF-FMI3S ὁRA-NSM ὀφθαλμόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-DSM οὐD ἐπιποθέωVF-FAI2S ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-DSM οὐδέC οὐD μήD σκεπάζωVA-AAS2S αὐτόςRD-ASM |
[9]thou shalt surely report concerning him, and thy hands shall be upon him among the first to slay him, and the hands of all the people at the last. |
| [10]ἀναἀγγέλλωV1-PAPNSM ἀναἀγγέλλωVF2-FAI2S περίP αὐτόςRD-GSM ὁRA-NPF χείρN3-NPF σύRP-GS εἰμίVF-FMI3P ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐνP πρῶτοςA1-DPNS ἀποκτείνωVA-AAN αὐτόςRD-ASM καίC ὁRA-NPF χείρN3-NPF πᾶςA3-GSM ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM ἐπίP ἔσχατοA1-DSN |
[10]And they shall stone him with stones, and he shall die, because he sought to draw thee away from the Lord thy God who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. |
| [11]καίC λιθοβολέωVF-FAI3P αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐνP λίθοςN2-DPM καίC ἀποθνήσκωVF2-FMI3S ὅτιC ζητέωVAI-AAI3S ἀποἵστημιVA-AAN σύRP-AS ἀπόP κύριοςN2-GSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM σύRP-GS ὁRA-GSM ἐκἄγωVB-AAPGSM σύRP-AS ἐκP γῆN1-GSF *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF ἐκP οἶκοςN2-GSM δουλείαN1A-GSF |
[11]And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall not again do according to this evil thing among you. |
| [12]καίC πᾶςA3-NSM *ἰσραήλN--NSM ἀκούωVA-AAPNSM φοβέωVC-FPI3S καίC οὐD προςτίθημιVF-FAI3P ἔτιD ποιέωVA-AAN κατάP ὁRA-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN ὁRA-ASN πονηρόςA1A-ASN οὗτοςRD-ASN ἐνP σύRP-DP |
[12]And if in one of thy cities which the Lord God gives thee to dwell therein, thou shalt hear men saying, |
| [13]ἐάνC δέX ἀκούωVA-AAS2S ἐνP εἷςA1A-DSF ὁRA-GPF πόλιςN3I-GPF σύRP-GS ὅςRR-GPF κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS δίδωμιV8-PAI3S σύRP-DS καταοἰκέωV2-PAN σύRP-AS ἐκεῖD λέγωV1-PAPGPM |
[13]Evil men have gone out from you, and have caused all the inhabitants of their land to fall away, saying, Let us go and worship other gods, whom ye knew not, |
| [14]ἐκἔρχομαιVAI-AAI3P ἀνήρN3-NPM παράνομοςA1B-NPM ἐκP σύRP-GP καίC ἀποἵστημιVHI-AAI3P πᾶςA3-APM ὁRA-APM καταοἰκέωV2-PAPAPM ὁRA-ASF πόλιςN3I-ASF αὐτόςRD-GPM λέγωV1-PAPNPM πορεύομαιVC-APS1P καίC λατρεύωVA-AAS1P θεόςN2-DPM ἕτεροςA1A-DPM ὅςRR-APM οὐD οἶδαVXI-YAI2P |
[14]then thou shalt enquire and ask, and search diligently, and behold, if the thing is clearly true, and this abomination has taken place among you, |
| [15]καίC ἐρωτάωVF-FAI2S καίC ἐρευνάωVF-FAI2S σφόδραD καίC ἰδούI ἀληθήςA3H-NSM σαφῶςD ὁRA-NSM λόγοςN2-NSM γίγνομαιVM-XMI3S ὁRA-NSN βδέλυγμαN3M-NSN οὗτοςRD-NSN ἐνP σύRP-DP |
[15]thou shalt utterly destroy all the dwellers in that land with the edge of the sword; ye shall solemnly curse it, and all things in it. |
| [16]ἀνααἱρέωV2-PAPNSM ἀνααἱρέωVF2-FAI2S πᾶςA3-APM ὁRA-APM καταοἰκέωV2-PAPAPM ἐνP ὁRA-DSF πόλιςN3I-DSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-DSF ἐνP φόνοςN2-DSM μάχαιραN1-GSF ἀνάθεμαN3M-DSN ἀναθεματίζωVF2-FAI2P αὐτόςRD-ASF καίC πᾶςA3-APN ὁRA-APN ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DSF |
[16]And all its spoils thou shalt gather into its public ways, and thou shalt burn the city with fire, and all its spoils publicly before the Lord thy God; and it shall be uninhabited for ever, it shall not be built again. |
| [17]καίC πᾶςA3-APN ὁRA-APN σκῦλονN2N-APN αὐτόςRD-GSF συνἄγωVF-FAI2S εἰςP ὁRA-APF δίοδοςN2-APF αὐτόςRD-GSF καίC ἐνπίπρημιVF-FAI2S ὁRA-ASF πόλιςN3I-ASF ἐνP πῦρN3-DSN καίC πᾶςA3-APN ὁRA-APN σκῦλονN2N-APN αὐτόςRD-GSF πανδημείD ἐναντίονP κύριοςN2-GSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM σύRP-GS καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ἀοίκητοςA1B-NSF εἰςP ὁRA-ASM αἰώνN3W-ASM οὐD ἀναοἰκοδομέωVC-FPI3S ἔτιD |
[17]And there shall nothing of the cursed thing cleave to thy hand, that the Lord may turn from his fierce anger, and shew thee mercy, and pity thee, and multiply thee, as he sware to thy fathers; |
| [18]οὐD προςκολλάωVC-FPI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF σύRP-GS οὐδείςA3-NSN ἀπόP ὁRA-GSN ἀνάθεμαN3M-GSN ἵναC ἀποστρέφωVD-APS3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἀπόP θυμόςN2-GSM ὁRA-GSF ὀργήN1-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC δίδωμιVF-FAI3S σύRP-DS ἔλεοςN3E-ASN καίC ἐλεέωVF-FAI3S σύRP-AS καίC πληθύνωVF2-FAI3S σύRP-AS ὅςRR-ASM τρόποςN2-ASM ὄμνυμιVAI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-DPM πατήρN3-DPM σύRP-GS |
[18]if thou wilt hear the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments, all that I charge thee this day, to do that which is good and pleasing before the Lord thy God. |
