[1]Then Joshua rose very early, and they removed from Shittim, and came to Jordan, he, and all the children of Israel, and lodged there, before they went over. |
| [2]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S μετάP τρεῖςA3-APF ἡμέραN1A-APF διαἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM γραμματεύςN3V-NPM διάP ὁRA-GSF παρεμβολήN1-GSF |
[2]And after three days the officers went throughout the host, |
| [3]καίC ἐντέλλομαιVAI-AMI3P ὁRA-DSM λαόςN2-DSM λέγωV1-PAPNPM ὅτανD ὁράωVB-AAS2P ὁRA-ASF κιβωτόςN2-ASF ὁRA-GSF διαθήκηN1-GSF κύριοςN2-GSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM ἐγώRP-GP καίC ὁRA-APM ἱερεύςN3V-APM ἐγώRP-GP καίC ὁRA-APM *λευίτηςN1M-APM αἴρωV1-PAPAPM αὐτόςRD-ASF ἀποαἴρωVF2-FAI2P ἀπόP ὁRA-GPM τόποςN2-GPM σύRP-GP καίC πορεύομαιV1-PMD2P ὀπίσωP αὐτόςRD-GSF |
[3]And commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests of the Levites bearing it, ye shall depart from your place, and go after it. |
| [4]ἀλλάC μακράνD εἰμίV9-PAD3S ἀνάP μέσοςA1-ASN σύRP-GP καίC ἐκεῖνοςRD-GSF ὅσοςA1-ASN δισχίλιοιA1A-APM πῆχυςN3I-APM ἵστημιVF-FMI2P μήD προςἐγγίζωVA-AAS2P αὐτόςRD-DSF ἵναC ἐπίσταμαιV6-PMS2P ὁRA-ASF ὁδόςN2-ASF ὅςRR-ASF πορεύομαιV1-PMI2P αὐτόςRD-ASF οὐD γάρX πορεύομαιVM-XMI2P ὁRA-ASF ὁδόςN2-ASF ἀπόP χθέςD καίC τρίτοςA1-GSF ἡμέραN1A-GSF |
[4]Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: ye shall not come near unto it, that ye may know the way, by the which ye shall go: for ye have not gone this way in times past. |
| [5]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *ἰησοῦςN--NSM ὁRA-DSM λαόςN2-DSM ἁγνίζωVA-AMD2P εἰςP αὔριονD ὅτιC αὔριονD ποιέωVF-FAI3S ἐνP σύRP-DP κύριοςN2-NSM θαυμαστόςA1-APN |
[5](Now Joshua had said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you) |
| [6]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *ἰησοῦςN--NSM ὁRA-DPM ἱερεύςN3V-DPM αἴρωVA-AAD2P ὁRA-ASF κιβωτόςN2-ASF ὁRA-GSF διαθήκηN1-GSF κύριοςN2-GSM καίC προπορεύομαιV1-PMD2P ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM καίC αἴρωVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM ἱερεύςN3V-NPM ὁRA-ASF κιβωτόςN2-ASF ὁRA-GSF διαθήκηN1-GSF κύριοςN2-GSM καίC πορεύομαιV1I-IMI3P ἔμπροσθενP ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM |
[6]Also Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and go over before the people: so they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people. |
| [7]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM πρόςP *ἰησοῦςN--ASM ἐνP ὁRA-DSF ἡμέραN1A-DSF οὗτοςRD-DSF ἄρχωV1-PMI1S ὑψόωVA-AAN σύRP-AS κατενώπιονP πᾶςA3-GPM υἱόςN2-GPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM ἵναC γιγνώσκωVZ-AAS3P καθότιD εἰμίV9I-IMI1S μετάP *μωυσῆςN1M-GSM οὕτωςD εἰμίVF-FMI1S καίD μετάP σύRP-GS |
[7]Then the Lord said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, which shall know, that as I was with Moses, so will I be with thee. |
| [8]καίC νῦνD ἐντέλλομαιVA-AMD2S ὁRA-DPM ἱερεύςN3V-DPM ὁRA-DPM αἴρωV1-PAPDPM ὁRA-ASF κιβωτόςN2-ASF ὁRA-GSF διαθήκηN1-GSF λέγωV1-PAPNSM ὡςC ἄνX εἰςἔρχομαιVB-AAS2P ἐπίP μέροςN3E-GSN ὁRA-GSN ὕδωρN3T-GSN ὁRA-GSM *ἰορδάνηςN1M-GSM καίC ἐνP ὁRA-DSM *ἰορδάνηςN1M-DSM ἵστημιVF-FMI2P |
[8]Thou shalt therefore command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the waters of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan. |
| [9]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *ἰησοῦςN--NSM ὁRA-DPM υἱόςN2-DPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM προςἄγωVB-AAD2P ὧδεD καίC ἀκούωVA-AAD2P ὁRA-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN κύριοςN2-GSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM ἐγώRP-GP |
[9]Then Joshua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither, and hear the words of the Lord your God. |
| [10]ἐνP οὗτοςRD-DSN γιγνώσκωVF-FMI2P ὅτιC θεόςN2-NSM ζάωV3-PAPNSM ἐνP σύRP-DP καίC ὀλεθρεύωV1-PAPNSM ὀλεθρεύωVF-FAI3S ἀπόP πρόσωπονN2N-GSN ἐγώRP-GP ὁRA-ASM *χαναναῖοςN2-ASM καίC ὁRA-ASM *χετταῖοςN2-ASM καίC ὁRA-ASM *φερεζαῖοςN2-ASM καίC ὁRA-ASM *ευαῖοςN2-ASM καίC ὁRA-ASM *ἀμορραῖοςN2-ASM καίC ὁRA-ASM *γεργεσαῖοςN2-ASM καίC ὁRA-ASM *ιεβουσαῖοςN2-ASM |
[10]And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will certainly cast out before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites. |

[11]Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the world passeth before you into Jordan. |
| [12]προχειρέωVA-AMD2P σύRP-DP δώδεκαM ἀνήρN3-APM ἀπόP ὁRA-GPM υἱόςN2-GPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM εἷςA3-ASM ἀπόP ἕκαστοςA1-GSF φυλήN1-GSF |
[12]Now therefore take from among you twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, out of every tribe a man. |
| [13]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ὡςC ἄνX καταπαύωVA-AAS3P ὁRA-NPM πούςN3D-NPM ὁRA-GPM ἱερεύςN3V-GPM ὁRA-GPM αἴρωV1-PAPGPM ὁRA-ASF κιβωτόςN2-ASF ὁRA-GSF διαθήκηN1-GSF κύριοςN2-GSM πᾶςA1S-GSF ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ἐνP ὁRA-DSN ὕδωρN3T-DSN ὁRA-GSM *ἰορδάνηςN1M-GSM ὁRA-NSN ὕδωρN3T-NSN ὁRA-GSM *ἰορδάνηςN1M-GSM ἐκλείπωVF-FAI3S ὁRA-NSN δέX ὕδωρN3T-NSN ὁRA-NSN καταβαίνωV1-PAPNSN ἵστημιVF-FMI3S |
[13]And as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests (that bear the ark of the Lord God the Lord of all the world) shall stay in the waters of Jordan, the waters of Jordan shall be cut off: for the waters that come from above, shall stand still upon an heap. |
| [14]καίC ἀποαἴρωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM ἐκP ὁRA-GPN σκήνωμαN3M-GPN αὐτόςRD-GPM διαβαίνωVZ-AAN ὁRA-ASM *ἰορδάνηςN1S-ASM ὁRA-NPM δέX ἱερεύςN3V-NPM αἰρωVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-ASF κιβωτόςN2-ASF ὁRA-GSF διαθήκηN1-GSF κύριοςN2-GSM πρότεροςA1A-NPMC ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM |
[14]Then when the people were departed from their tents to go over Jordan, the priests bearing the ark of the covenant, went before the people. |
| [15]ὡςC δέX εἰςπορεύομαιV1I-IMI3P ὁRA-NPM ἱερεύςN3V-NPM ὁRA-NPM αἴρωV1-PAPNPM ὁRA-ASF κιβωτόςN2-ASF ὁRA-GSF διαθήκηN1-GSF ἐπίP ὁRA-ASM *ἰορδάνηςN1M-ASM καίC ὁRA-NPM πούςN3D-NPM ὁRA-GPM ἱερεύςN3V-GPM ὁRA-GPM αἴρωV1-PAPGPM ὁRA-ASF κιβωτόςN2-ASF ὁRA-GSF διαθήκηN1-GSF κύριοςN2-GSM βάπτωVDI-API3P εἰςP μέροςN3E-ASN ὁRA-GSN ὕδωρN3T-GSN ὁRA-GSM *ἰορδάνηςN1M-GSM ὁRA-NSM δέX *ἰορδάνηςN1M-NSM πληρόωV4I-IAI3S κατάP ὅλοςA1-ASF ὁRA-ASF κρηπίςN3D-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM ὡσείD ἡμέραN1A-NPF θερισμόςN2-GSM πυράN1A-GPF |
[15]And as they that bear the ark came unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bear the ark were dipped in the brink of the water, (for Jordan useth to fill all his banks all the time of harvest) |
| [16]καίC ἵστημιVHI-AAI3S ὁRA-NPN ὕδωρN3T-NPN ὁRA-NPN καταβαίνωV1-PAPNPN ἄνωθενD ἵστημιVHI-AAI3S πῆγμαN3M-NSN εἷςA3-NSN ἀποἵστημιVXI-XAPNSN μακράνD σφόδραD σφοδρῶςD ἕωςP μέροςN3E-GSN *καριαθιαριμN--G ὁRA-NSN δέX καταβαίνωV1-PAPNSN καταβαίνωVZI-AAI3S εἰςP ὁRA-ASF θάλασσαN1S-ASF *ἀραβάN--GS θάλασσαN1S-ASF ἅλςN3-GSM ἕωςC εἰςP ὁRA-ASN τέλοςN3E-ASN ἐκλείπωVBI-AAI3S καίC ὁRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM ἵστημιVXI-YAI3S ἀπέναντιP *ιεριχωN--GSF |
[16]Then the waters that came down from above, stayed and rose upon an heap and departed far from the city of Adam, that was beside Zaretan: but the waters that came down toward the sea of the wilderness, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: so the people went right over against Jericho. |
| [17]καίC ἵστημιVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM ἱερεύςN3V-NPM ὁRA-NPM αἴρωV1-PAPNPM ὁRA-ASF κιβωτόςN2-ASF ὁRA-GSF διαθήκηN1-GSF κύριοςN2-GSM ἐπίP ξηρόςA1A-GSF ἐνP μέσοςA1-DSN ὁRA-GSM *ἰορδάνηςN1M-GSM καίC πᾶςA3-NPM ὁRA-NPM υἱόςN2-NPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM διαβαίνωV1I-IAI3P διάP ξηρόςA1A-GSF ἕωςC συντελέωVAI-AAI3S πᾶςA3-NSM ὁRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM διαβαίνωV1-PAPNSM ὁRA-ASM *ἰορδάνηςN1M-ASM |
[17]But the priests that bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, stood dry within Jordan ready prepared, and all the Israelites went over dry, until all the people were gone clean over through Jordan. |
