[1]AND it was on one of the days, while he taught the people in the temple and evangelized, the chief priests and scribes with the elders rose up against him, |
[2]And they were saying to Him tell us by which? authority these things do you and who is? he who has given to you authority this |
[2]And said to him, Tell us by what authority thou doest these, and who is he who gave thee this authority? |
[3]Answered Ieshu and He said to them I shall ask you also I a question and you answer Me |
[3]Jeshu answered and said to them, I will also ask of you a word, and tell you me: |
[4]The baptism of Yokhanan from Heaven was it? or from sons of men |
[4]The baptism of Juchanon, from heaven was it, or from the sons of men? |
[5]Those but counseling they were among themselves and they were saying that if we say from Heaven He will say to us and because of what? not did you believe him |
[5]But they reasoned within themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven, he saith to us, Why did you not believe him? |
[6]If but we say from sons of men will stone us the people all they are convinced for that Yokhanan a prophet is |
[6]But if we shall say, From men, all the people will stone us; for they are persuaded that Juchanon was a prophet. |
[7]And they said to Him "Not we know from where it is" |
[7]And they said to him, We know not from whence it is. |
[8]Said to them Ieshu neither I say do to you by which authority these things do I |
[8]Jeshu saith to them, Nor tell I you by what authority I do these. |
[9]And He began to tell the people parable this man a certain planted a vineyard and handed it to laborers and went abroad for a time long |
[9]And he began to speak to the people this parable: A certain man planted a vinery, and let it to husbandmen, and removed for a great time. |
[10]And at the season he sent his servant to the workers to give to him from the fruits of the vineyard the workers but beat him and they sent him away as stripped |
[10]And at the season he sent his servant to the husbandmen that they should give him of the fruit of the vinery. But the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty. |
[11]And he added and he sent his servant another they but also that one they beat him and they abused him and they sent him away as naked |
[11]And he added and sent another servant; but they beat him also, and maltreated him, and sent him away empty. |
[12]And he added and he sent a third they but also that one wounded him and they cast him out |
[12]And he added and sent a third; but they also wounded him, and cast him out. |
[13]Said The owner of the vineyard what? shall I do I shall send my son beloved doubtless they will see him and they will be ashamed |
[13]The lord of the vinery saith, What shall I do? I will send my son, the beloved; now will they see him and reverence him. |
[14]When they saw him but the workers counseling were among themselves and they were saying this is the heir come let us kill him and shall be the inheritance ours |
[14]But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours. |
[15]And they cast him out outside of the vineyard and they murdered him what? therefore will do to them the owner of the vineyard |
[15]And they cast him out of the vinery, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vinery do to them? |
[16]He shall come and shall destroy workers those and he shall give the vineyard to others when they heard but they said not may be this |
[16]He will come and destroy those husbandmen, and will give the vinery to others. But when they heard, they said, May this not be! |
[17]He but gazed upon them and He said and what? is this that is written the Stone which rejected the builders that was the head corner of the corner |
[17]But he beheld them, and said, And what is that which is written, The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner?ⓘ |
[18]And everything that falls on that stone shall be broken and everything whatever this will fall upon which it shall scatter it |
[18]And every one who shall fall upon this stone shall be broken; and every one on whom it shall fall it will scatter him. |
[19]Seeking they were but Chief Priests and the Scribes to lay upon Him hands in that hour and they were afraid of the people they knew for that against them He had told parable this |
[19]But the chief priests and Sophree sought to lay hands on him in that very hour; but they feared the people, for they knew that concerning them[selves] he had spoken this parable. |
[20]And they sent to Him spies who imitated righteous men to catch Him in discourse and to deliver Him to the judge and to the authority of the governor |
[20]And they sent to him spies, who should resemble just men, that they might take him in discourse, and deliver him to the judgment and to the authority of the governor. |
[21]And they asked Him and were saying to Him Teacher we know that correctly speaking You are and teaching and not receive You faces but in truth the way of Alaha teach You |
[21]And they asked him, and said to him, Doctor, we know that thou speakest and teachest rightly, neither dost thou deceive,ⓘ but with integrity thou teachest the way of Aloha. |
[22]Is it legal? for us to give money head to Qaesar or not |
[22]Is it lawful for us to give head-silver to Cesar or not? |
[23]He but perceived their cunning and He said why? testing are you Me |
[23]But he understood their subtilty, and said, Why tempt you me? |
[24]Show me a denarius of whom is in it the image and inscription they but said Qaesar's |
[24]Show me a dinara. Of whom upon it is the image and the inscription? But they said, Of Cesar. |
[25]Said to them Ieshu give therefore Qaesar's to Qaesar and Alaha's to Alaha |
[25]Jeshu saith to them, Give then of Cesar's to Cesar, and of Aloha's unto Aloha. |
[26]And not they were able to lay hold of from Him a word before the people and they were amazed at His answer and they kept silent |
[26]And they could not take hold of his words before the people; and they wondered at his answer, and were silent. |
[27]Came but some of the Sadducees those who say that resurrection there is no and they asked Him |
[27]BUT some of the Zadukoyee approached, they who say that there is no resurrection; and they questioned him, |
[28]And they were saying to Him Teacher Moshe wrote to us that if a man dies and his brother who has to him a wife without sons shall take his brother his wife and he shall raise up a son to his brother |
[28]And said to him, Doctor, Musha wrote to us that if a man's brother die having a wife who hath not children, his brother shall take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. |
[29]Seven but brothers there were the first took the woman and he died without sons |
[29]But there were seven brethren; and the first took; a wife, and died without children. |
[30]And took her the second his wife and he died without sons |
[30]And the second took his wife, and he died without children. |
[31]And the third again took her and thus also the seven of them and they died and not they left sons |
[31]And the third also took her; and so also the seven of them: and they died and left no children. |
[32]And died finally also the woman |
[32]Died in the end also the woman. |
[33]In the resurrection therefore of which? of them shall she be the wife the seven of them for married her |
[33]In the resurrection therefore, whose of them shall she be the wife? for the seven of them had taken her. |
[34]Said to them Ieshu the sons of world this take women and women are given to men |
[34]Jeshu saith to them, The sons of this world take wives, and women become [the wives] of men: |
[35]Those but who for that world are worthy and for the resurrection from among the dead not are taking women also not women are to men |
[35]But they who of that world are worthy, and of the resurrection which is from among the dead, take not wives, neither do women become [the wives] of men. |
[36]Neither for again die can they like the angels they are for and children they are of Alaha because they were children of the resurrection |
[36]Neither again can they die, for they are as the angels; and the children are they of Aloha, because they have become the children of the resurrection. |
[37]That rise but those who have died also Moshe declared he recounts for at the bush when said the Lord The Alaha of Abraham and The Alaha of Isaaq and The Alaha of Yaqob |
[37]But that the dead arise, Musha also showeth; for he commemorateth at the bush, while he saith, The Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Ishok, and the God of Jakub. |
[38]Alaha but not He was of the dead but of the living all of them for alive were to Him |
[38]But he was not the God of the dead, but of the living: for they all live unto him. |
[39]And answered some of the Scribes and they were saying to Him Teacher beautifully have spoken You |
[39]And some of the Sophree answered and said to him, Doctor, thou hast well said. |
[40]And not again they dared to ask Him about anything |
[40]And they dared not question him again of any thing. |
[41]And said He to them how? were saying The Scribes about The Messiah that The Son He is of David |
[41]AND he said to them, How say the Sophree concerning the Meshicha, that he is the Son of David? |
[42]And he David said in the book of Psalms said the Lord to my Lord seat Yourself at My right |
[42]And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The Lordⓘ said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, |
[43]Until I put Your enemies under Your feet |
[43]Until I put thine adversaries beneath thy feet. |
[44]If therefore David my Lord called Him how? his son is He |
[44]If David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he his son? |
[45]And while all the people heard He said to His disciples |
[45]And while all the people heard, he said to his disciples, |
[46]Beware of the Scribes who like to walk in robes and love greetings in the markets and first class seats in the synagogues and first class rooms at banquets |
[46]Beware of the Sophree, who will to walk in stoles, and love the shaloma in public places, and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the chief reclining-places at evening feasts; |
[47]They who consume the houses of widows for an offering of chanting their prayers those shall receive a judgment surpassing |
[47]Who devour the houses of widows, and for the occasion prolong their prayers: these shall receive the greater judgment. |
